The only problem is she can fix everyone else up but not herself. Rose was in love 20 years ago with Liam and he broke her heart and left town. After some medical problems Liam leaves his current girlfriend and heads to his hometown to recover. Little does he know but the Air BnB he is staying at is above his former best friends flower shop. Once he’s there he and Rose rekindle their old friendship but can secrets and lies of the past crush that rekindled friendship? Happily, ever after is a collection of stories written by different styles of authors and I love reading these types of collections because this is were, I find new authors and interesting characters. The books are easy to read and I can get through a couple in a coffee or lunch break. I defy anyone who does not either find a new author or a great story within this collection. I had a few favourites within the collection but my favourite was Don’t Worry, I still hate you by Marie Skye so I decided to review this book: –
Don’t Worry, I still hate you – Marie Skye What happen in Vegas stays in Vegas they say, well I can tell you that is bull because who’s the last person you want to see to become your roommate. Yep, you guessed it the mistake from Vegas. This is a fun, full of chemistry story which will have you routing for the main characters although at times its rocky and you’re not sure where they will end up. The story is a quick read and for the length well-constructed and you don’t feel cheated with this being a novella. I have read a few of Marie’s books and they always deliver and this one does not disappoint.

This is not my first book by this author but it is one of my favorites by her. One of the things I enjoy most about this author is her attention to details and her ability to pull me into the story from the beginning. This book is no different. It brings the romance and action into one well rounded story. The characters bring the story to life with each page. The twists and turns left me turning pages fast just to see what will happen next. This is a story about two people who have lives that are not going as well as they expected until a once chance meeting in a coffee shop. The attraction is there right from the start and they have great chemistry. As danger merges and the past comes to the present, the action really picks up. This is really a great story that I read in one afternoon. I highly recommend this book and this author.

At Once: Adams Brothers: Book 2 by Mindy McKinley. Gabi and Mason stole a piece of my heart and I’ll likely never forget them especially since I’ll be adding this one to my read again list. The characters are complex and relatable, they match up nicely in this book. I instantly felt a connection with them right from page one and knew I was in for a great time. The storyline has a nice easy flow and it’s well written. I was definitely hooked from start to finish, reading it in one sitting because I simply couldn’t put it down. I love the characters and the book world this author has created and I love getting lost in its pages. Five stars all the way and highly recommended! Can’t wait to see where the author takes readers next.

At Once by Mindy McKinley is the second book in the Adams Brothers series. This is a fun and romantic story with great characters. The author has done a brilliant job of making the characters interesting and relatable. I was engaged with them right from the word go. The connection between them seemed to just work. The book itself is well written. It is easy to read and a great way to spend an afternoon. This book is worth adding to your TBR list and I am looking forward to the next in the series.

I loved this book. This is an author that I never hesitate to pick up. This author’s attention to details make the story realistic and engaging. The characters are connectable and make the story easy and entertaining to read. This is the second book in the Satan’s Devils MC Utah. If you have not read the first book I highly suggest you do. This is a story about making mistakes in the past. When you get a second chance at life, at redemption, but before you get the most of your second chance, your past comes crashing into the present. This is a really great MC story that I read in one sitting. It is well written, fast paced and a well rounded story. I highly recommend this book.

This is the fourth book in the Lawson Family series by this author. I enjoyed it just as much as the previous three books. This is a romance story that is fast paced and engaging. This is a well developed story that has characters that bring the story to life. They are connectable and made the story feel realistic. They made the story fun to read and warmed up my afternoon. This is a story about Carly who has been working for ski patrol in the winter and a rafting guide during the summer. She enjoys what she does and it allows her to have a seasonal relationship with no strings. She has a past that she keeps hidden. When she meets Chris she runs into a problem, she is falling for him but what will happen if he finds out about her past? What will fate have in store for these two? I really liked this couple. They have great chemistry and I found myself hoping that they would get their HEA they deserved. They truly made the story for me. I highly recommend this book.

The Longest Run is the fourth book in the Lawson Family series by Tracey Cramer-Kelly. I absolutely love the Lawson Family and this one is no different other than whew what a roller-coaster ride of emotions. I was sad,mad,angry at some parts. This is a grab your attention from the beginning and doesn’t let go till the end kind of read. I literally read in 9ne sitting. This is Carly and Chris’s story. She does ski patrol in the winter and works as rafting guide in the summer. Shes been carrying around a secret that her dealing with the burden of guilt.Chris once was real close to having his dream until something happened and now he’s got a chance at that dream again so he’s working harder than ever to get trained. Then he meets Carly and he starts having feelings he didn’t think he could. Can these two have a future together or will it be over before it starts? Find out what happens next in this must read. I can’t wait to see what she brings us next.

Stormy’s Thunder: Satan’s Devils MC Utah by Manda Mellett. Another fine example on why this author is in my top favorites list. I’ve been excited for this story and it definitely delivered on everything I was hoping for. The characters are complex and relatable, this author just has a way of making characters unforgettable to me. Once again I found myself completely drawn into the story book world this author has created for us. It’s a fast paced story that had me completely hooked. I found myself trying to read both faster and slower because I needed to know what happened next but didn’t want it to end. It’s a well written story and I can’t wait to see where the author takes readers next. Five stars all the way and highly recommended.

Murder at Lolly Beach is the second book in the Eve Sawyer mystery series. Even though this is book two, you can read this as a stand-alone book but you will also want to read the first book as well. The plotline held my attention. There are some twists and turns which caused me to be at the edge of my seat during parts of the book. I thought I knew what was happening and then BAM I was blown away. I was not going to put this book until the very last word. Eve is a college journalism student. She can find a good story almost anywhere she looks. She was looking for some relaxation at the beach. She found some new friends, but she finds a story that needs her attention. I highly recommend this book. You will not be disappointed when you start reading this book. I can only hope that Jane Suen will keep this story going.

Crave, book 1 in the Clark Family series by Evelyn Sola was FULL of FAMILY DRAMA! Sandra and Jacob had so many obstacles in their relationship that I could see this story playing out in a Soap Opera. But you couldn’t help but love the bantering and how their love was addicting. I couldn’t put this book down because you never knew what was going to happen next or what hilarious thing was going to be said next. I am looking forward to reading the other books in this series just to see how much more drama could pop up. Great first read by this author!

Without a doubt, my favorite part of Havall 16 is A.J. Ullman’s writing. His characters, storyline and unique style really draw you in. Reading his work felt so fluid I sometimes felt like I was tuning in to one of my favorite T.V. shows instead of picking up a book. The dystopian sci-fi and social commentary of Havall 16’s themes were also an added bonus.

Heartbeat & Roses: A Small Town Valentine’s Romance (A Hartwood Holiday Romance) written by Jae Dawson. Another fun holiday themed romance by this author. I think Rose and her family are super fun. An eclectic group who get along really well and you can tell they love each other. Liam is Rose’s best friend from high school who left town when his mother caught his Dad cheating on her. After a 20 year absence, Liam is back in his home town for a vacation. The last person he expects to see is Rose. His unexpected return brings up all kinds of memories for both of them.
Having read ‘Murder Creek’ the first book in the ‘Eve Sawyer mystery series’ and thoroughly enjoyed it I was looking forward to this second novel and I was not disappointed. I liked being back with our heroine, Eve Sawyer a journalist student as I fell in love with this likeable and relatable character in book one. In this story Eve is on a summer vacation but instead of a fun time she has a mystery to solve. Eve’s best friend Cassie’s boyfriend chef Blake Conway is attacked at his crêpe food truck and then Cassie’s beach house is broken into. Blake had been stirring up the locals with his plastics ban campaign. ‘Beach Beat’ reporter Jake Thorne takes Eve on as an intern and agrees to mentor her as they try to discover who’s behind these crimes. As Eve and Jake investigate they uncover many suspects and learn some dark secrets, and meanwhile a killer is still at large in the small town. I was hooked from page one and was kept guessing until the very end due to all the plot twists and turns in this cozy mystery. This novel is an engaging and enjoyable read and I’m looking forward to more Eve Sawyer mysteries.

An enjoyable and engaging read which although part of a series can be read as a standalone story. Carly Lawson works during the winters as a ski patrol and the summers as a rafting guide. She loves her job and has a new relationship each winter that ends in the spring. Carly also has a secret that she has been keeping for some time. Meanwhile, Chris Markham a downhill ski racer had hopes of making the Olympic team but then he had an accident that left him a paraplegic. However, he is determined to now make it to the Paralympics. When Carly and Chris meet on the slopes at ‘Big Sky Ski Resort’ in Montana they both feel the chemistry between them but are both unsure of starting a relationship. The author took me on an emotional rollercoaster whilst reading this heartwarming story, and once I had picked this book up I could not put it down. The narrative flows well and the plot has plenty going on to keep the readers interest.

This is a quick read that encompasses a wonderful faery tale. It is easy to read and enjoyable. It’s been a while since I’ve read a historical romance. I was delighted in being taken back to a different time. The story moves at a fast pace. The character easily drew me in. While I didn’t connect much with the Davenports, the two guys seemed fun and I liked their camaraderie.
Overall for a sweet, fun read..this is your book! Who doesn’t love a little faery tale?

The beginning of this book starts out with a BANG! It literally gave me chills! I loved reading this! Reading about a ski patrol job is as interesting as it probably is exhausting. I enjoyed all the little details and joy that came with Carly’s job.
I was excited to get Carly’s story. And Chris? He is a total surprise and shock. I enjoyed his tenacity and strength. He was a winner in my book already even before getting together with Carly.
It is nice to see her brothers, wives and kids. Catching up is alway fun with them. I want to give a shout out to Taylor. He is a friend of Chris’ but he goes above and beyond his duties. He is the Best kind of friend there is.
Overall this is a wonderful story. I don’t feel Carly’s issue was as big as her brothers stories. But still a problem for her. Chris really stole the show for me.

This book far exceeded my expectations. I don’t usually read this genre as I’ve found in the past I haven’t been as invested in the plot as other genres I really enjoy, but this one may have just converted my interests. Right from reading the synopsis I was hooked with the idea of this dystopian future where the world had been divided and chaos caused. The plot was both intriguing and exciting and I knew I had to continue reading. The characters are well explored and I feel we really get a sense of who everyone in Tommy’s life is and how they matter in the story. I particularly enjoyed Havall 16’s character, she reminded me a lot of Katniss (Hunger Games) and Tris (Divergent Series) and I loved that as I really enjoyed both of those characters in their respective books. Havall 16 was cool, courageous and captivating throughout the entire story and I feel her and Tommy worked really well together which made their story an absolute joy to read.
There were several moments which I was not expecting, certain people who I weren’t expecting certain things from and was shocked to read. This made for a “can’t put it down” reading experience. Ullman’s writing style was very easy to read and flowed nicely. There is enough description in the writing that you can paint a detailed image in your head, but not too much that it becomes convoluted; which I really enjoyed. The whole book is riddled with “on the edge of your seat moments” and really kept my interest from start to finish.
There are a couple of twists towards the end of this book which I LOVED and definitely did not see coming. No spoilers, you’ll have to work those out on your own. But they were very well thought out and if anything I would have like to know slightly more about them. I would like the details of Tara and the queries surrounding her to be explored more, there was mention of her not being trustworthy but this was in passing and was not explored again after this and it became unclear as to why Havall 16 might feel that way. I would also have liked to know more about the future world that Havall 16 describes but this is the only criticism I have of this book.
This was a credit to its genre and I cannot wait to read more like this and more by A.J Ullman. Very well done.

Crave is a fantastic contemporary romance by Evelyn Sola and is the first book in the Clark Family series. I had never previously read any of this author’s work so was unsure what to expect. What I can say now is that I would definitely read more of their work as I absolutely loved this book. I absolutely adored both of the main characters Jacob (Jake) and Sandra (Sandy, Dee, DeeDee…Lol). This is very much an opposites attract story. Jake comes from a very wealthy family, whereas Sandy comes from a ‘normal’ hardworking, everyday family. I loved that this was an interracial romance and that all of those in Jake’s family did not bat an eyelid about the fact that he was having a relationship with a black woman. She was welcomed into his family with open arms. I also loved how sensitive Jake was to Sandy’s worries about the big difference in wealth and their racial difference. He was sweet and understanding with her and did everything possible to allay her fears. The whole family dynamic makes this a fantastic read. The Clark family may have all the money in the world but it’s not a harmonious family. The storyline around the family dynamic (I don’t want to give spoilers) make this a gripping and enthralling read. It’s most definitely a ‘page-turner’. I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to recommend this book to others. I LOVED it!

Askew Ever After by Aubrey Wynne is a lovely short romance story. The whole story has your heart throbbing waiting to see what would happen next between the characters.
Askew Ever After does have a love story for everyone. After I finished reading this one I went straight to look at the rest of the collection. I can’t wait to read more of these short love stories. I could not put this book down it was an adorable romance that just filled you up.
I have never loved a love story so much. I ended up rereading it.
This is the second book in the Satan’s Devils MC Utah series. This story follows Stormy and his quest to become a better man. Like anybody, Stormy has made mistakes and those end up catching up to him. He let his club down. When he turns up months later, there are so many unanswered questions. We go back and learn about Stormy’s past and why he is the way he is. He has accomplished a lot, but he’s also lost a lot too. He finds Cat, and she is exactly what he needs. Will the club take him back?

The Longest Run (Lawson Family Series, Book Four) by Tracey Cramer-Kelly was a really good read! This is a standalone novel. This is the first book in this series I’ve read, and I didn’t feel like I missed anything important or vital from not reading the others first. It was very entertaining and well written. It was very descriptive, I felt like I was right there on the slopes with Carly and Chris the whole time. There’s was also enough steam in this novel to keep the chill of winter away! It did take me a little bit to get hooked in this story. It didn’t grab me at first in the way I thought it would. Overall this book was a very fun and easy read. I can’t wait to read more from this author in the future!

The book is full of twists and turn. You never know what will happen next. It leaves you on the edge of your seat with each new chapter. I can’t wait for what this series may have in store.

I really enjoyed this story. It is an emotional rollercoaster from start to finish. There are so many relationshipship dynamics in this book that you really feel drawn into it completely. No family is perfect but the other manages to take two people with troubled past together and it works.
Jacob has had bad relationships. After being hurt and decieved by his brother and his sister in law it has left him bitter and angry towards everyone including his brothers. There is always arguments when ever they are together because Jacob is carrying so much pain and can’t let it go.
Sandy is a hardworking woman. Who isn’t looking for a relationship. Especially not with someone with a lot of drama. That is until she meets Jacob. After their first meeting the attraction and connection between them is instant however with both of them dealing with pasts and the drama of the families can they work things out to be together or will their pasts keep destroying any chance of them having a future.

Stone of Destiny (Juniper Samoni Trilogy Book 1) by Nadine Travers 4 Stars
This is an action packed fantasy novel filled with adventure, danger and some mystery. Juniper is a witch warrior who has some extra special powers. Magical relics call to her and this time she needs to retrieve the Stone of Destiny. If it falls into the wrong hands, the fallout could be devastating. She’s not the only one that wants it, she just needs to get there first.
I found the story to be quite original. With the witch warriors and the magical relics, it almost felt like an epic adventure. There was an underlying sense of foreboding. The world building was fantastic. The author has a vivid imagination. In this book there is clearly the “good “ guys and the “bad” guys but I believe that as the series progresses, these lines will get blurred. The author left enough crumbs in this novel which will have you wanting to pick up the pieces in the next.

Another fantastic book from this author! I absolutely loved it. This author has a fantastic writing style which draws me in straight away. I loved the first book in the series and I am so glad that this one didn’t disappoint. From the beautiful descriptive language to the fantastic characters I was hooked from beginning to end. I love Maggie and Will, their journey is far from easy and I loved the story plot for this book! It was so exciting to read! I would definitely recommend reading book 1 prior to this one to fully understand the characters and their story. I think if you love historical/time travel stories then this series is absolutely one you should read!

I’ve read quite a few books by this author now and I really enjoy her stories and I think that Murder at Lolly Beach is probably one of my favourites. I loved that I was kept guessing until the very end – there were so many twists and turns I really enjoyed trying to figure out what was going to happen. I really like the characters; they are all great to read about. I would recommend reading the books in order just to get a better feel of the characters and what has happened previously. Overall a fantastic 5 star read and one that I would absolutely recommend to others! I look forward to more from Ms Suen again in the future!!!

Heartbeats and Roses was a nice, romantic read and I found it very enjoyable to read. This isn’t the first book that I have read by this author and although sadly I didn’t enjoy it as much as the others it was still a good read. I think for me I struggled with connecting with the characters and I’m not sure why to be honest. They were nice enough and I liked them but I just didn’t feel that connection with them like I have previously. Rose and Liam obviously had a past and that connection between them was still there all those years later however I was missing a little bit of passion between them, thy did seem to have a genuine connection thought which was lovely to read about. I liked how Liam’s character developed over the story and I feel like I got to him more than I did Rose. Overall a good read and I am definitely looking forward to more from this author again in the future.
Black Dog Rising by Kat Caulberg 4 out of 5 Stars Emma Aubrey is a force to be reckoned with. This sweet romance has a twist of the paranormal but once you read about Emma, you fall head over heels for her. Toby himself is mysterious, and I love a handsome mysterious innkeeper. Who wouldn’t want to fall in love with someone like that? Caulberg did a fantastic job of engaging the reader and keeping the suspense and mystery going until the very end. I also LOVED reading about the English stores of paranormal creatures. I recommended this book for lovers of mystery, romance, paranormal, and sci-fi. 4 out of 5 stars.

Stormy’s Thunder (Satan’s Devils MC Utah #2) by Manda Mellett was a great 5 star read. I was pulled in right from the beginning.
Stormy disappeared from the clubhouse leaving his cut behind. The MC brothers all thought he had abandoned his club and ran. He returns with a literal “bang” and he ends up in the hospital. It appears like he has been tortured, but by who?
While he’s in the hospital the MC tries to figure out where he was, will they find the answers they are looking for?
Overall this was an edge of your seat read. I couldn’t wait to see myself just where Stormy was and get the answers along with the club. He grew on me the more the story developed. The author does a great job of pulling you right in with her writing and finally getting to see Stormy’s story was great. I would suggest reading the other books in the series so you can get the build up to this book. All of the characters were great, it was a family reunion of sorts.
