Unwrapped was the perfect addition to my Holiday reading lineup! This story is written by Evelyn Sola and this is my first time ever reading a novel by her. Immediately I found myself wrapped up in this story and unable to put it down. Within the first chapter I both felt sorry for, and laughed at Nick, whom is the boss of Mona, whom is the mom of Miranda, whom is the narrator of this story. I found this story had many laughs, lots of suspense, an excellent amount of heartache, and just enough steamy romance. This entire story is based around the Christmas Holiday, and I just adored how much tradition was packed into it. I loved that every single character was likable and obviously flawed. This story is meant to be a standalone novel, and is targeted at mature audiences. I really enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone looking for a quick holiday romance! 4 stars!

Urban Justice (A Chicago Vigilantes Novel Book 2) by India Kells. This author hasn’t failed me one single time since I for her. And this time was just another fine example of why she’s in my top favorite authors. Once again I found myself completely drawn in and and I couldn’t put this story down any easier than the others. This one is just as amazing as book one. The characters are complex and so easy to connect with. The storyline is engaging and unique you can’t help but read it in one sitting because trust me you’ll tell yourself to quit but you won’t be able to. Each character brings something different to the storyline and they truly make this an awesome story. You’ll be happy to get lost in these pages for a while trust me. Five stars all the way and highly recommended!

Lies That Bind: A Logan McKenna Mystery Book 6 (Logan McKenna Series) by Valerie Davisson. I can’t get enough of this series. Just when I think it can’t get any better this author proves me so wrong. I love getting lost in the pages of this series. Without fail the storyline and characters draw me into this world created with words and I have the hardest time leaving when I reach the end. I love a story that keeps me guessing and that’s exactly what I know I’ll be getting when I pick up a book from this series and author. The characters are so easy to connect with and I’ve definitely developed a fondness for each one over this series. It’s well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. I highly recommend this series to anyone and everyone. Five stars all the way!

Oh my this book is good! I love a good mystery and this book definitely gives you that. The characters are wonderful and they make such an impression you think they are jumping off the page. The story is of a longer length however once you start reading you will not mind a bit. I didn’t want the story to end. Mark Nolan has created a novel that I will recommend to all my friends! The Sound of Silence (Leave Me Breathless) by Dakota Willink. I love a story about characters who go through some of the most horrible things and learn to live again. This was my first read by this author but it definitely won’t be my last. This book isn’t for everyone it definitely has some hard issues brought up that may be difficult for some. I love books like this which may seem weird but I love when the characters aren’t shiny and new. I love tough characters that go through heck and back and can still be ok in the end. This book had me completely hooked from start to finish. The characters are complex and relatable, you can’t help but root for them. It’s well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. I can’t wait to see what else this author has to offer. Five stars all the way and highly recommended.
This is the third book in this series, I enjoyed it just as much as the previous two books. This authors writing style is very creative and I was pulled in from page one. The charcters are likeable and I liked the fast pace of the story that kept things interesting throughout the whole book. I am looking forward to reading more by this author and would recommend this to a friend! Happy Reading!

Emotionally wrecked. It left me emotionally wrecked. Heed the synopsis and trigger warnings. All that out of the way – the author does a brilliant job weaving this story realistically and respectfully. I was consumed by this story, by these characters. I get almost to a painful degree the scars on full display in these pages. I cannot say enough by how moving this story was. Just completely overwhelming and heartbreaking and amazing.
If you enjoy an intriguing story with a great balance between romance and suspense, this box set is a must own. Dunn does a fantastic job in this series and once you start book one you will want them all. Great characters, great plot pacing. Just the right amount of suspense and romance – not too much of either but just enough to keep you completely enthralled. Highly recommend!

I have thoroughly enjoyed this series and this latest installment from Davisson is another suspense filled page turner. I continue to love reading Logan‘s escapades. I appreciate the character development with the side plot of her family relationships and intertwining with the latest mystery. A story that kept me reading until the last page. The Bullet Theory (Dr. Nolan Mills, #1) by Sonya Jesus This book pulled me in and broke my heart within the first couple of chapters.
Eleanor is a police officer and when she was called in to help with a case she didn’t realize how much it would change her life. Now she’s trying to move forward and she has set her mind to helping her fiance work on a case, but not for the reason he thinks. She agrees to go see a counselor, this is where she meets Nolan.
Nolan is a psychiatrist who Eleanor believes may have files on the proxy killer and she wants to get her hands on them. Will Eleanor get the revenge she is seeking?
Overall this was a thrilling read, the author pulls you right in. All of the characters added a great element to the story. There are some very emotional scenes that had me ugly crying. The Sound of Silence by Dakota Willink is an emotional reading. Be forewarned there is a trigger warning concerning domestic violence. The story deals with domestic violence and how we do not really know what goes on behind closed doors. What might appear to be a fantasy, fairy tale life might actually be a horror-filled life. The book focuses on the characters Gianna and Derek. I enjoyed getting a different POV because it tells so much more about the story. This book is well written and the story and characters are thought out and engaging. I did not want to put it down because the characters had so much at stake. This is an engrossing story and handles a difficult subject beautifully. There is so much to say just about the title which speaks to the actual story. I look forward to reading more from this author in the near future.

This book drew me in from the beginning. I found this story to be full of action, suspense, humor, twists and turns, and wonderful characters including Cody the dog. There is a lot going on in this book but it all flowed nicely so you aren’t confused in any way. Even though this story is a little long I kept finding myself not wanting to put it down because I needed to know what was going to happen next. This book kept me entertained and at the edge of my seat at times. The author did a great job in writing with vivid detail. This is a good mystery novel that I recommend reading.

This is the first book I have read from this author and now she has a new fan. I usually don’t read thriller books but for some reason this storyline caught my eye. This is the first book from the Dr.Nolan Mills novels and this is an addictive way to start a new series. Once I started this book I could not put it down until I read the last page. It only took me a full day to devour this amazing story. I can’t wait to read more of this series.

The Sound of Silence (Leave Me Breathless) by Dakota Willink is a dark and emotional story that has you hooked on the characters. It has to be noted that this book does contain domestic violence so if this is a trigger for you then you should be aware. I was completely sucked in by this story from the start. For me it had an intensity about it that caught my attention and became the backbone of the book. I really loved the main characters and the connection they forged despite everything. This is the first book that I have read by this author but I enjoyed the writing style and pace she brought to the book. I thought everything was developed well and the story moved along at all the right times. This was a great book and one I enjoyed even more then I expected I would. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.
Gianluca: A stand-alone enemies-to-lovers office romance by Isabella Cassazza is the first book in the Marini Family Romance series. This is a book that is all about the characters and the connection they have. The chemistry between them was undeniable, you can feel it on every page. I really thought they were engaging and drew you full attention to them. The story was entertaining and quite fast paced, I found myself turning the pages quickly as I read more and more. It was written and had a great development line throughout. This is definitely a great book to read and it is one I thoroughly enjoyed.

This is the book that started it all. It starts with action and easily kept my interest throughout. I loved seeing the meet ups of Tyrell and Cody and others(I have read all the other books before this one). I still enjoyed it other than at times it’s wordy. The flow is nice and of course I love these characters. I could really see the relationship built between Jake and these others.
Overall I am glad I finally read this. It’s a bit long but still a good lead off.

Dead Lawyers Don’t Lie is the first book in Mark Nolan’s Jack Wolfe series. It’s an exciting mystery that keeps readers on the edge of their seat throughout! In this book we get to know Wolfe, as well as Cody, the dog he adopts following the death of Cody’s previous owner. The affection Wolfe has for Cody and the growing bond between the pair is really special and helped me to grow to like Wolfe as a character! As a retired military dog, Cody is well-trained and very intelligent – a perfect sidekick for Wolfe! Wolfe seems to constantly be getting himself into trouble, which adds to the tension. The story switches between viewpoints which further serves to heighten this tension! The viewpoints also help the reader to see different sides to the story – I definitely found myself sympathising with the killer from time to time. For me, this is a five-star read. It’s a fairly long book – a good companion for a holiday (if you’re lucky enough to be able to travel…) or to snuggle up with on a staycation. I’d recommend to readers who enjoy action and mystery, and have a soft spot for four-legged heroes!

The Sound of Silence by Dakota Willink was a truly emotional roller coaster ride of a read! This story is dark, intense, heart breaking, shocking and so profound. The main character, Gia, has lived through truly traumatic experiences and undergoes a whole transformation and I absolutely loved reading how her character developed. From the very first chapter I was hooked, I couldn’t wait to dive into her story, and I was not disappointed in the least. This story had me captivated from the beginning and didn’t let up until I reached the end, I thoroughly enjoyed everything about this story.
I will note that there is some sensitive content that may be triggering; however, this is forewarned. This was my first book by this author but it certainly won’t be my last. I can’t wait to dive into my next read by the talented Dakota Willink.

The Sound of Silence by Dakota Willink. I loved this book but let me warn you it can have triggers in it. Its about domestic violence and abuse so be aware. Its the story of Gianna (Gia) who is from the outside living the perfect life but from the inside its a living nightmare. Derek is the perfect guy and he knows Gia has been thru hell and back but actually had no idea what exactly she has been thru. He knows she’s been thru a lot but he still wants to get to know her and wants her in his life. He wants to take away all her pain and make it right. Ethan is Gia’s husband a police officer who you would think would keep her safe but in reality he is everything but safe. When Gia run’s she feels like she might be finally free but will her past catch up with her and ruin the new life she’s made? This was my first read by Dakota Willink but it will not be my last!
Gianluca is an enemies to lovers, office romance which is the first book in the Marini Family series by Isabella Cassazza. I had only read one of Isabella Cassazza’s books before reading this book and I had thoroughly enjoyed it. Incidentally we were introduced to Gianluca in that book and he was not exactly to of my favourite men list. Could he redeem himself in this book? I have to say that to begin with Gianluca doesn’t do much to redeem himself. He is very driven, arrogant and ruthless and will do whatever it takes to get the promotion at work that he believes he deserves. So let’s just say he’s not the nicest person to Callie when they first meet and start working together. Of course, there is a much nicer Gianluca hiding under the arrogant, hard exterior and it takes the awesome Callie to bring out the nicer side to him. I loved reading Gianluca and Callie’s story. Their interactions together make for very entertaining reading. Both are fantastic characters and are very well written. In addition, the secondary characters add so much to this story, in particular Gianluca’s sister Francesca and Signore Ravelli. As this series is based around the Marini family, of which there are 6 siblings, I can’t wait for more in this series to see what Isabella Cassazza has in store for them. I’m looking forward to Francesca’s story in particular.

What a beginning! this book grabs your attention from the first few paragraphs, and keeps it. It is a sad,tragic, crazy, twisted book with an ending you wouldn’t expect. A couple has to accept the death of their unborn child and at the same time find the person that killed him, re-discovering their love for each other at the same time. Author Sonya Jesus does an awesome job with these characters and storyline. I highly recommend this book.

I don’t even know where to begin with this review. I picked this book up because first I love a cozy mystery and the cover was interesting and the blurb was enough to have me hooked. This is my first book by this author and I’m already a forever fan. The second I finish this review I will be going to her page and getting whatever is available with this series and these characters.
I can’t even describe in words the writing style of this author who had me so wrapped up on page 1 that I couldn’t stand it when I had to put the book down for things like “adulting” yuck!
I felt like I was transported to Heartwood Hollow while I was reading, I could envision everything and it just deepened my desire to move to a small town just like it. Suncraft Bakery is like an unspoken dream of mine so living that through Joanie in this story was like experiencing it for myself. Now I want it even more, add a few books and tables in the bakery and call it done LOL The writing in this story made me feel like while the recipes were being created that I had to wipe flour off my hands, I could smell the creations. Simply amazing!
The storyline is so unique and it seems that it’s an ongoing story and from what I’m seeing the full length novels start next, this has me needing them even more since I hated when this one was done. Adding in the matchmaking and the little pieces of paranormal as she did was genius. You don’t even really realize it’s a paranormal although it obviously is.
This is EASILY one of my favorite reads of 2020 and I will have them all as well as following this author for whatever else she comes up with!

I was instantly intrigued once I read the blurb and this book did not disappoint! I loved the humour, characters and writing style of Evelyn Sola. I fell in love instantly with the characters of Nick and Miranda and was captivated with their storyline.

I loved this book – it was everything I love in a romance read and more! I love an arrogant alpha male and I certainly got this from Gianluca! He is one of those characters you probably should hate but just can’t resist! Sexy, Italian – what more could I want from a book boyfriend!! I love the setting for the story too; something about Italy makes a story even more romantic and sexy! I really liked Callie as well, she wasn’t afraid to stand up for herself when she needed to. I really like this author’s writing style; it’s very engaging and detailed. The characters were well developed and the plot had a good pace to it. I would definitely recommend this story and I look forward to reading more from this author again in the future!

When I saw that the third book in this series was available I grabbed it straight away – I really enjoyed the first 2 books so I couldn’t wait to get started and I wasn’t disappointed! I love PJ Santini, such a great character to read about. There so much in this book it is definitely an all-rounder that can be enjoyed by many. I love the interaction between PJ and all of the characters, she definitely makes this series! I definitely love reading about her. I feel as a reader I’m there solving mysteries with her. The author has a really great engaging writing style and she has definitely held my interest across three books! A great book and series and I would definitely recommend them to other readers!
