A well written book about fostering kittens that children can read and understand. Abby and Charlie hear about the need for people to foster kittens. After talking about it with their parents, and discussing how their cats Oscar and Emmy might react, they foster 3 kittens to help the kittens get used to being around people and other cats. The kids in the story understand why fostering is needed and learns how rewarding it is while it also can be a lot of work. The illustrations are beautiful and make it easy for the kids to follow. I have read a few books by the author and appreciate how well written it is for young readers.
Another well written novel by these authors! Again, I found myself struggling when new characters were introduced and the plot dragged out a tad. However, the endings in this series are always worth it.
This series is great for those in the medical profession that want a novel they can read without cringing at the inaccuracies of the medical field. It is also perfect for mystery lovers! These authors should write a nonfiction novel about themselves because I am sure they have some stories to tell. I cannot wait to read more from these authors because it is obvious they put their heart and sole into these books.

This book was well written. The plot seemed to drag on a little bit because so many new characters were introduced, but ultimately the end brought everything together. It is obvious the authors know a lot about the medical profession and they tie that knowledge well into their novel. The characters are also very well developed and easy to connect with.
I got confused and a little bored when all of the characters were being introduced, which is why I gave this book 4 stars instead of 5. I definitely recommend if you enjoy a good mystery novel.

I loved this book so much! It was such a great read. From the very first page I was just totally in love with bath Kaitlyn (with a K) and Banks! They both had such great personalities and I loved that they wound each other up but underneath the chemistry was bubbling away. I really do love an older romance story now, I think I can definitely relate to the characters a lot more than stories with the young 20 somethings as the main characters. Kaitlyn was just such a down to earth person going through things that I can certainly relate to. She was focused on her career and she was good at it. I thought she was a wonderful female lead and I absolutely adored her. This is definitely one of my favourite books that I have read this year and I 100% recommend it!

This is one of those stories that you can’t tell much about or you give it away. Oradea and Natalia are meant for each other. It just takes them time to realize it. Just a few obstacles get in the way: rogues; brothers; and witches. It’s a fast-paced story that will have you feeling like you are chasing rogues with them. I’m a big fan of multiple POV’s. It makes the story feel personal. Familiar faces make appearances. Everyone is chasing the rogues from Descalia down. There is some steam that will have you wiping off your glasses. It does end with a cliffhanger. I can’t wait for the next one

With this book being written by so many authors I wasn’t sure what to expect (I have read collaborations like this before and was so disappointed) BUT I have to say to put it very simply I LOVED this book and I can’t wait for more!!! Callum and Aeris truly had me hooked as soon as I met each of them on the page. This truly is a fantastic start to what I know is going to be an amazing series.

4 R’s: Roped, Risked, Rescued, Romance ( 4 R’s Series is a Contemporary Romance complete set that I devoured. Each story is about a different couple but the characters are relatable, fully developed and make the stories come to life. This is a fairly new author to me but I’m definitely going to check out what other books they have written. This set is a second chance romance/ Runaway Bride/single mom Romance and so much more. I highly recommend this set and look forward to reading more from this Author.
The Better Man by Laurie L.C. Lewis was such a sweet country romance story. This story takes place on a ranch in Colorado, where our main character’s parents have decided it’s time to sell and retire. When their daughter, Laramee finds out about this, she rushes home to confront her estranged father and her mother, to question their decision and try to talk them out of selling. Unbeknownst to Laramee, Jaime has already been hired to assess the land and the property to help get the best-selling price for their ranch. The two start out on rocky ground seeing as they both have different thoughts in mind, but overall, they decide what’s best for the Stone family is to find out what the best price is that they can get for the ranch while making necessary upgrades to the property together. While they were looking around the property, Laramee showed Jaime a place that she holds near and dear to her heart that will change everything for the Stone family. On top of dealing with all of this business of assessing the ranch, both Jaime and Laramee have to work through the issues that they each have with their own families. As the two work through their issues, they also have to deal with Sutton, Laramee’s ex-fiancé who is jealous and overbearing.
I love that this story has such a soft approach to the building of the romance between the characters. The beauty of the setting in this story is so peaceful and serene, that it brings to mind what it would be like to live in a small country community away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The descriptions of the Colorado ranch are such that you can picture what it was like at its peak and then see where it stands now after the family tragedy happened, it is all sad and forlorn looking. The characters are so solidly built that they are like characters out of an old Western movie, with the strong leading ladies, the chivalrous males, and the contention between the families due to misunderstandings. What an amazing all-around storyline this book had, I cannot wait to go back and find the first book in the series and see who that tale was about. I hope to see that more books are being written in this series, it was such a great read, with just the right amount of turmoil and romance. @Brandy Rymer 04/2024

I didn’t realize this as a part of a trilogy until after I read it and saw so in the acknowledgments…so naturally I have to go back and read the other two books. However this worked as a stand alone novel as well. Swan Cove sounds like the perfect small town. Although everyone knows your business they are all supportive and helpful. I love Kaia and Everett. They compliment each other beautifully. Their friends and family are wonderful people and everyone is lucky to have each other. It’s definitely a feel good story. Although there were a few bumps in the road they got to where they needed to be at the end.

I am in love with Katie and Biscuit and how adorable they are separately and together. The love between her little girl and her dog is one of the purest loves there is. Throw in Dolly the Longhorn into the mix and I was a happy girl.
Jake did a lots of growing in a short period of time and I enjoyed seeing him evolve from a very unhappy man who really seemed to go through the motions day to day to someone who is happy with his life.
Lexie was the best thing that could have happened to Jake and Katie. She healed them as much as they healed her and they all found their happiness with each other.
This is the first book by Ms. Wayne I have had the pleasure to read, but it won’t be the last.

Drag Me Down is the 4th book in this series but can be read as a standalone but characters from the previous books do show up throughout all of the books. This book was interesting 3.5 star read for me. It was a sci-fi romance that had drama, gangs, revenge plots & Cyborgs. I enjoyed the MC & the MMC alot. They fought for what they wanted and I liked their story and the growth throughout it. I would read this author again in the future Happy Reading!

Loved this one! Lexie and Jake’s story is a page-turner! Jake rescues Lexie and the two are pulled together after each experiencing the ending to relationships. For Lexie, vacation didn’t quite turn out how she thought it would, but it could change her life forever.
I really enjoyed this story. It is heartwarming, but also has tension and keeps you turning the pages until the end. I loved both main characters and the author’s development of their individual stories as well as their relationship. The author has an effortless and engaging writing style. I’ll be picking more up by this author!

Hell In A Handbasket (Life is Hell Book 3) by Naomi Valkyrie. This is the 3rd installment in the Life is Hell series and its just as good as the 1st and 2nd if not better. I love Naomi Valkyrie so anything she writes I try to read. Its still set in Juniper Lake that seems so serene and peaceful but is anything but that. This is the story of Oren and Teivel who we met in the previous books but not much was told about them. Oren is a demon hunter who turns to demon Teivel for help in his training. He has tried to find anyone but Teivel but couldn’t come up with anyone else. This ends up being a mess for Oren because he is still a little new to the idea of being a Hunter and he also find Teivel a little attractive! The two have chemistry for days! This story is full of danger, mystery, family and romance. You won’t be able to turn the pages fast enough. Do yourself a favor and read them in order. You will be so glad you did!

The Better Man (A Silver Buckle Romance Series) by Laurie Lewis. This is the second book in the Silvery Buckle Brides series and I really enjoyed it. It can be read as as standalone but I always recommend reading series in order. It’s the story of Laramie who has been called back home by her mom. She has been gone for a while now because of hard feelings but she will do anything for the ranch she grew up on. When she arrives she has no idea that a realtor named Jamie will be there to appraise the ranch and find out its worth. When Laramie meets Jamie its not love at first sight in fact there is some major friction but as they spend time together they begin to develop feelings for one another. Laramie will do whatever it takes to save the ranch but she and Jamie both have secrets from their past and when they come up it could destroy the ranch and their relationship. This is a good clean Romance that will have you flipping pages late in the night.

I read Oscar and Emmy Foster Kittens with my 7 year old before bed, initially my 9 year old declined joining us. Shortly after overhearing the first couple pages, my animal loving son was excited to join in. This was a great story to teach fostering and it’s importance all while appealing to young children in a fun way. The kids and I really enjoyed taking turns reading this book and we will be reading more about Oscar and Emmy in the future for sure.

Kris & The Missing Prince is part of The Adventures of Kris Series . What a fun story that is aimed for children ages 6-10. This is an imaginative story that is packed with friendship, magic, adventure, Fairies and so much more. This is a fairly new author to my son and I but he really enjoyed this story and wants to read more. While Kris is at her grandmother’s house she finds adventure right there. Kris wants to be a knight not a princess. Kris sets put to be the best knight and takes us on quite the adventure. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. We look forward to reading more from this Author and going on more adventures.

An emotionally closed off cowboy due to his past with his wife, her infidelity, and not knowing if the child she was pregnant with was in fact his. He’s not willing to open up and risk his heart again, but enter Lexie, who after suffering terrible heartbreak, and being left at the altar by a man she’s really not sure she loved, has decided to start fresh after a move. I really enjoyed Dana’s take on these characters. They felt real, relatable, and their chemistry was off the charts. You felt the emotions as the characters experienced them. I always appreciate the dual narrative point of views for this very reason. Neither Jake nor Lexie can deny the attraction that they are experiencing despite everything they’ve been through. I went into this not reading the first three books of the series, I believe each book can be read as a standalone, but I enjoyed all the side characters, so I want to go back to read all their stories as well. I also thought it was so cool that they all live on Mars so I’m hoping book one has more about that. I felt no hatred between Drag and Bridget, again, that could be addressed in another book I will have to go back and find out myself. But I loved their chemistry and glad that their hated for one another didn’t last long. I liked that the story was fast paced, their living environment doesn’t feel like one where you can slow down anyway. The story made me feel a little like I was in the Fast and Furious on mars and recommend to readers who are into stories like that. It was a great and entertaining read.

Queen of the Fairies is a super cute children’s book with colorful illustrations that help bring the story to life I simply can’t say enough about how much my son and I love this author. My son loved this one and wants to be a good fairy and sometimes a bad fairy. His imagination went wild reading this book I love how this author encourages children to be themselves and never give up and to be free with their imagination. I highly recommend reading this cute story. My son and I are always happy to read a book my this author.

This was my first book by this author, so I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I fell in love with the characters! This contemporary romance had a great western tone throughout with plenty of heartwarming moments as well as dramatic ones. I definitely felt like I was on an emotional rollercoaster as I devoured this book. Once I picked it up and found my groove, I couldn’t put it down and read it in one sitting! The character development is truly fantastic and leads to the ease of experiencing the book right along with them. Jake is guarded, distant, and had been hurt deeply by his wife being unfaithful. Lexie was left at the altar and did little else except work. If you are looking for a lovely romance to tug at your heartstrings, this should be your next read! I can’t wait to see other work by this author.

I enjoyed this book because even this Barbara’s multiple life changes, she still stays positive and moves forward thus defining and shaping the women she is meant to become. It is a story about how love can bring the best out of us. This was the first of the Bold Journeys that I have read but it will not be the last.

Stop that Lion by Lois Wickstrom is another home run from this author. I am never disappointed with the unique story telling or the fun ways that they find to tackle complex issues in a way that is entertaining and easily digestible for young children. Queen of the Fairies by Lois Wickstrom is a beautiful and enchanting children’s fantasy story. The illustrations are stunning. The story is unique and encourages the imagination of the reader. This was a enjoyable read which kept me happily turning the pages. The heartwarming storyline had me hooked and I felt engaged with the likeable and relatable main characters. The story is set four years after Jake Holloway discovered that his wife had been unfaithful as she lay in a coma, she was also pregnant and Jake does not know if the child is his. Jake is now emotionally closed off and is definitely not going to risk his heart with another relationship. Lexie Morgan thought she was going to get her HEA but was left standing at the alter alone. Lexie decides to start a fresh and moves away from her old life, and this is where Jake and Lexie meet. Their instant attraction takes them both by surprise but they both try to ignore their feelings. However, when Lexie is forced to accept Jake’s help neither of them can deny their growing connection. When Lexie meets Katie, Jake’s shy four year old daughter she knows they are all meant to be together. Just as their relationship is developing their past traumas threaten their fragile bond, and they have to decide if opening up their hearts to love once more is worth the risk. This was an emotional read which kept me captivated throughout and I really felt the chemistry between Jake and Lexie. I enjoyed how their relationship developed throughout the story and I found having both their POV’s made me feel more invested in their romance. The characters and setting were brought to life by the descriptive narrative which made me feel immersed in the story. I recommend picking up this book!

Marshmallow Rabbit is a clever colourful and imaginative 30 paged adventure story. It is aimed at children from kindergarten through 3rd grade. Lois writes stories that are adventurous and teach valuable life lessons to children. Annabelle loves candy and this sneaky little thief tours the chocolate factory whenever she can and leaves with all the sugary goodness she can steal. But Mr Bonbon decides to put a stop to her thieving ways and find a punishment that is befitting the crime. This delightful children’s story is full of fun, with colourful and interesting illustrations by Janet King. The narrative makes for an engaging tale. There are also things to learn along the way such as the consequences of one’s actions. You don’t have to be a child to enjoy the adventure.
I read this with my 7yo and we both enjoyed it. What’s not to love? Magic, adventure, mishaps, and strength of character. There were a lot of life lessons in this story, but they weren’t overwhelming or boring. This was a great coming of age story where courage is tested. Amese is a fantastic character. We can’t wait for more in the series.

When I started reading this book, I wasn’t expecting it to be as gripping as it found it. I was pulled into the story straight away and could not put the book down until I had finished. I loved getting caught up in all the twist and turns and I could not have predicted how this book would turn out. This is the first time I have read a book by these authors and their collaboration has to be one of my favourites. The way their writing styles combined felt effortless and I found it to be engaging and exciting. This is a brilliant story and I will definitely be going back to read the first.
