A young woman wants to write a book about the Queen of the Fairies, but what does the Queen of the Fairies do? Is it all fun and games with the good fairies, or does she have to keep the bad fairies in line and should she even mention the bad fairies at all, or will they feel left out and do mean things to her like play tricks on her, or even steal her story?
This is a wonderful little story about writing a story and the internal debates every author goes through, but in an easy to read way that will inspire any budding author to write their stories, while also showing the importance of the delightful illustrations which go along with it.

What a brilliant fantasy book for youngsters. The journey that Amese is on to train to become the Potentate has her learning many valuable lessons. She is trying to get control over her magic as she is training. The lessons learned in this fun imaginative way gives the reader reminders that we are able to overcome our own self doubt. We are stronger than we know. Great story for readers of all ages as I enjoyed following Amese on her journey.

Queen of the Fairies was another great written kids book by Lois Wickstrom. This book was a fantasy read. My 10 year old read it to me. She said she loved how pretty and colorful the pictures was. This author never disappoints and we have enjoyed all of her books so far.

I’m not sure if it was meant to be funny, but Unicorn, Don’t Do That! had me laughing out loud. It is a very colorfully illustrated, rhyming book about Stega. She is half unicorn and half stegosaurs, and has been invited to a party. She is stuck on what gift she should bring to the party, worried that her gift won’t be good enough.. Many of the other attendees make their own gifts, but Stega has no weaving or carving skills. She instead decides to bring food, but that leads to be a struggle as well, as she accidently eats all the snacks she’s gathered. She arrives at the party, and just the wrong time…. or maybe the right time…. either way, her gift is a surprise! I love that even though Ada tries to shame and make fun of Stega, Benny is a true friend and stands up for her.

Loris Opens Up His Heart is a picture book for children, to give a gentle, but emotional, introduction to Foster Care- as well as sensitive situations surrounding it. I read it to my 8 year old and he didn’t have any negative reactions. He did first interpret Loris’s attitude and behavior as many others might- as “mean” or “grumpy.” But, by the end, he understood, which I think is the purpose of this book. It helps kids understand that emotions and behaviors might have an underlying cause. You don’t know what someone has been through, so you shouldn’t judge them based off first impressions. Loris is placed with a new family, and is quiet and reserved. His new “siblings” continue to be by his side and offer their help, repeatedly. Eventually, Loris warms up to them and shares a bit about his past. Once he gets that off his chest, and is not judged harshly, he opens up to the family. I love the discussion this book sparked between my son and I after completion.

This book has 4 books in one focusing on 4 different couples. It was a really good read. I enjoyed reading about Sarah and Rafe, Samantha and Jake, Serena and Mark, Candy and Greg. Each couple had their own tropes, and each set of problems. One thing I did like was each female was strong in their own ways. I felt that it wasn’t a “cut and paste” that I’ve seen happen. The storyline was well done and I was drawn in from the very start. My favorite story was Sarah and Rafe. Their story was well done and I found myself saying “one more chapter” multiple times. I’m excited to read more by Julie!
Loved it!!! This is the first book I have read by this author and it will not be my last. I loved the snarky dynamics between the two main characters. While the chances of getting with a pro athlete are small, the characters were relatable and the plot wasn’t far-fetched. Can’t wait to read the other books in this series.

This book is a box set of four fantastic stories that are all great to read with brilliant characters. I connected with each and every story in this collection and loved the fact that they were distinctly different from each other. I thought each of the books were well written. It took no effort to get into them at all and I enjoyed watching how each story progressed.
This author is new to me and I thought this series was a great way to become familiar with her work. These books have caught my attention and I will definitely be looking to read more her in the future.
Jake and Lexie’s story is so sweet and yet filled with angst and trepidation that you will be up into the wee hours of the night frantically turning the pages to see how it all plays out. I can’t say enough out this book and author…I’m literally putting her on my list of authors to binge read. While this isn’t the typical type of romance I like to read, I was sucked in and it was a nice change of pace. I can definitely see myself reading Wayne in-between my darker reads as a palate cleanser or when I’m just looking for something on the sweeter side. I loved the grumpy/sunshine trope that we get with Jake, the grumpy ranch owner who doesn’t really want to deal with his feelings of being a single father or how he feels instantly connected to Lexie and Lexie, the sunshine who has had some pretty cloudy days of her own, but is refusing to let that cloud her vacation to figure out what she really wants out of life. Through a series of happenstances, they are forced together (another favorite trope of mine) and there are twists and turns along the way that will squeeze and pull at your heartstrings. Throw in the adorable 4-year-old Katie who plays a major role in their relationship and you’ve got yourself a fantastic, slow-burn romance. I’m excited to go back and read Wayne’s other novels and to see what she has in store for us. Reviewed by @meggs1717

This book was such a fun read, and quite honestly gave me Hannah Montana vibes! We are introduced to Kaia/Abigail, and we quickly find out that she lives a double life! Kaia is a popstar who lives on the road and does tours worldwide, well with that part of her life coming to a pause for the next few months, she decides that she wants to go back to life as Abigail, the student teacher. On Kaia/Abigail’s journey of being a student teacher, she meets Everett, her mentor…. but little does she know that Everett has some secrets of his own! There are plenty of funny moments between Kaia/Abigail and Everett and there are some serious moments as well. Everett is just trying to live life and work his poor little heart off because of some trauma from a previous relationship, little did Kaia/Abigail and Everett know that their first impressions of each other were soon going to change! To me, this story actually had quite a bit of moral lessons such as, Never Judge a Book by Its Cover! And this added quite a bit of appeal to the storyline between our main characters. The way that Kaia/Abigail has to keep her double life separated it very interesting and the dedication that she has to do so is even better! When I picked up a copy of this book to read, I had no idea that I was in for such a treat, I also didn’t realize that this is the third book of the Swan Cove Series by Christi Barth. I am definitely going to go back and read the first two books of the series, I can only imagine how entertaining those books are going to be! Christi had a great way of keeping you entertained throughout the story, and I never found myself getting bored while reading. I don’t think that you will be one bit disappointed by picking up a copy of the book and getting lost in the pages! It’s up to you if you want to read the first two books of the series’ first, or if you decide to read this one as a standalone!

Art Blegen has created such an imaginative storyline and cast of characters for this book. Kris is a young girl who goes to stay with her Grandma in West Virginia while her dad works out of town. Kris loves to spend her days swimming in the pond and exploring at her Grandma’s farm. One day she ventures into the woods around the farm and this is where her adventure begins. If you or your children like to read about magical adventures then this book is for you. We can’t wait to jump into Kris’ next adventure.

This was a nice short kids book about a unicorn who went to her friends party and along the way attempted to gather different foods as a gift, but kept accidentally eating them all. Then she ended up pooping a rainbow outside of her friend’s house. Colorful illustrations, rhyming words for engagement. Any kiddo thats into unicorns or poop will enjoy this story.

When I was a kid, my grand mom used to tell me story about a sher, which wanted to eat a cow. But the cow said it has to tend to it’s calf and she will come back the next day. That was a story about trust. When I read this book, it reminded me of that childhood story. In this book, there is a lion which keeps crossing the border to eat the sheep. The king announces a reward to anyone who finds the solution to the problem. But when a little girl comes up with a solution, she is disregarded at first. But later the king allows her to try. This book is a reminder to everyone that we should not rush to judgement and anyone can make a difference no matter how little they are.

This book is truly filled with so many emotions! Jamie and Laramee are wonderful characters that you will be drawn too and you will be hoping to see them have a happy ending. I know I was hoping for it with every page I turned. They have a difficult road ahead of them though as both have things from their past to deal with and people from their past getting in the way as well. This is a wonderfully written story that I know you will enjoy.

Another adventure with Kris, and another story I got completely sucked into. Once again, through this author, Kris creates a fantasy world, and I get so lost in the story that I don’t realize that it is just her imagination until the end. Kris stands firm that she is not a princess just because she is a girl, girls can be knights. I love that she wants to be a knight and fight for good. I really like that Kris is so adventurous and curious. It was heartbreaking to read of her and her dad’s financial situation in the beginning, but how grateful Kris was to even be able to eat at all. They are a strong and resilient family and I enjoy the father and daughter interactions as much as I enjoy Kris’ imaginative adventures. The owl, Mr. Flattail, might have been my favorite character, I loved how the author made his speech, it gave his character so much more.

Beautiful art work, Stega is such a sweet and lovable character. I am not really sure I understand all the talk about pooping rainbows, but it looks pretty. It was nice to see Benny being accepting of his friend and her poop, even when Ada was making fun of her. Stega is so sweet when she shows up to the party but missing a present, she is so distraught.
The two main characters are a candy shop owner and a thieving child. The title cleverly comes into play. The young thief is thwarted when a marshmallow rabbit she swipes puts her into a sticky situation. When confronted, the little thief has an attitude that reminds me of Brer Rabbit. Clever thinking gets her out of the sticky situation, but the consequences of her actions will probably sadden her.

Stop that Lion is part of the Kingdom of Mir Series and we absolutely loved reading it. I love that this author include life lessons in each of her stories. This one is about problem solving and taking chances, friendship along with being brave and realizing you don’t have to do it alone. The illustrations are colorful and bring the story to life. highly recommend reading this book and look forward to reading more from this Author.

I love Reading books by this author. This book was so unique. My little ones and I really enjoy it. With the bright colors and cute artwork, it keeps the kids and I engaged the whole time. And the children shall lead them. This was such a fun story to read. Winnie wants to keep her sheep safe and also help the king come up with a solution. As the lion from the kingdom of Sher keeps eating the sheep from the Kingdom of Mir. As the King asks for help, many came forward but did not work. Reading the story will tell you what happens next. This author has such a great imagination. I really enjoy reading her stories. My grandchildren look forward to reading her books as well. The is always something to learn, discover, and talk about in her stories. We are looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

Kris & The Missing Prince is part of The Adventures of Kris Series and this is a wonderful, imaginative story filled with magic, adventure, gnomes, fairies, animals and friendship. This chapter book is for ages 6-10 years of age, but I believe you can be young at heart as well to enjoy the story. I know I really loved this book and I continue to look forward to more adventures of Kris.
When Kris goes to her Grandma’s house while her father is out of town, Kris finds an adventure right in the backyard! All Kris wants to be is a Knight….and not a princess. I love a book that when I start it my first thought is “oh this is gonna be good!”. I sometimes have a hard time getting fully invested into a fantasy type storyline. But let me tell you just how quickly I fell into this book’s storyline world! I’m a reader through and through I read tons of books and this one is in my top five hands down for this year. Callum and Aeris will probably be one of my favorite sets of main characters forever. Each one brought such fun vibes to the already great storyline. Aeris immediately captured my attention right from the first chapter. I simply loved my time with these characters and this book world. It’s well paced and I truly can’t wait for more! Five of the biggest stars and I recommend you go get this story as soon as possible!

This was a good 5 star read. Abigail had a not so easy life growing up. She has created a secret identity that has her touring worldwide as a famous singer. When her tour is done she focuses on finishing her teaching degree as her alter ego. Everett works at the school also and lets just say there is no love loss between these two. But are there some sparks under that fire between them? I have to say I really enjoyed this couple’s story. We get twists and turns that added a great element to the story. All of the characters added a great element to the story. The author did a great job with her writing and I look forward to reading more from her. 1-click and get started today.

I liked the first Kris book I read better (I was engaged more), but this is still a solid 4 star read. The author continues to do a wonderful job of creating a strong and likable protagonist in Kris, who is both brave and determined.
he themes of friendship, imagination, and perseverance are woven throughout the story, making it both entertaining and meaningful.The writing is clear and engaging, making it easy for young readers to follow along and become immersed in Kris’s world. The illustrations are also charming and add an extra layer of visual appeal to the story.

I enjoyed this, fast paced and I really adored the daughter Katie. Lexie was a strong woman and I liked the fact that Jake and Lexie talk their feelings out and how it would effect the two of them and Katie. Will definitely be checking more out by this author.

Lexie’s vacation didn’t start as expected, but it ended just as it needed to. Jake happened to be in the right place at the right time not knowing just how much his life would change. Texas Winds is an emotional contemporary romance. It has just enough of everything… fear, drama, uncertainty, love, family, and dysfunction. The story focuses on Jake and Lexie, but every reader knows Biscuit and Katie are the real stars of the story.

This was a great mystery and kept me interested until the end! Once Colin’s boss is found murdered he becomes the prime suspect. Between the assistant coroner and his sister they do not feel he actually committed the crime. There are unlimited suspects since his boss was not liked by many, which just makes it harder to find the true suspect. It is up to the trio to find out who really killed his boss to clear Colin’s name. This mystery was full of twists and will keep you reading late into the night! Such a great series!
