My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the final book in this series. I highly recommend reading these books in order to help enhance your enjoyment of the series. The story and characters are well developed and fast reading, you feel as if you are part of the story. They are engaging, strong and determined. Aiden and Lorelei along with the rest of their loved ones thought they were safe in Sanctuary until they are faced with a decision that could change their existence and lose their home. I highly recommend this book.

5 out of 5 stars

The story Eternity (Captivity Series Book 3) by Sarah Biglow and Molly Zenk is the last book in the Captivity series and it is a wonderful read. The story grabbed my interest from the very start, and I didn’t want to put it down until I read the final page. It will have you turning pages wondering what is going to happen next. Lorelei, Aiden, and their loved ones are feeling safe in Sanctuary. When they learn of a deadly plot that will affect all shifters they have a choice to make. Will they leave the one safe place that they have found in order to protect the very existence of all shifters or will they stay hidden in their new home? What does the future hold for Aiden, Lorelei, their loved ones, and shifters everywhere? Read this book to find out. This story is exciting and entertaining. I enjoyed reading about many of the characters that are brought forward with each book and I found myself rooting for them to be happy and be successful in all that they do. I love reading shifter stories and this book and series is a good example of why. Don’t miss out on the edge of your seat conclusion to this series. You will not be disappointed.

Eternity: A Paranormal Romance Novella by Sarah Biglow and Molly Zenk is the third book in the captivity series. This series does really need to be read in order.
This book concludes the set of three and it does so brilliantly. You are instantly drawn back into these characters and their story, their fight.
These two authors have really found a way to combine their writing style, making the overall story just flow. This really has been a great series, from the first page of book one to the final page of book three. I would definitely recommend you giving them a go.

Guilty Pleasures Volume 3: Guilty Pleasures by Joyce McCarthy – Review by Angela Hayes

Guilty Pleasures Volume 3Guilty Pleasures Volume 3 by Joyce McCarthy
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Guilty Pleasures Volume 3 by Joyce McCarthy is a collection of 15 erotic short stories that are all under 20 pages long- so the book is a very quick and easy read. There isn’t a ‘lot’ of story to each book, as such, so no long complex stories here- so if you are looking for intricate storylines, with complexity and depth- then this probably isn’t the book for you. But these stories are quite well written and get right to the point. Think of them as “Quickies”, and sometimes you just feel like a “Quickie” and not a marathon session. The story jumps right into the ‘action’- which makes for make for some “HOT” reading!
Brad is back and we once again follow along on his sexcapade adventures. His ‘encounters’ are many and varied- from threesomes, to a tryst on an international flight, hooking up with an old crush, a New Year’s Eve encounter with 2 sexy women, getting the engine revving for a woman who’d broken down on the side of the road, and even getting it on with his boss. But these are just a few of his exploits. You’ll have to read the book to discover what else he gets up to.

The stories are:
-My First Time With a Hooker (#1) – Brad and Betsy
-The Hottie from the Mall (#2) – Brad and Amanda
-Naughty in the Train (#3) – Brad and Joanna
-Wedding Fun (#4) – Brad and Susan
-My Hot Summer Training (#5) – Brad and Jackie
-Business With Pleasure (#6) – Brad and Tanya
-Closing the Deal (#7) – Brad and Penny
-The Girl I Met Online (#8) – Brad and Natasha
-Adventure in the Trial Room (#9) – Brad and Anne
-Flight of Passion (#10) – Brad and Natalie
-Room Service (#11) – Brad and Sonia
-Fireworks With Strangers (#12) – Brad, Mona, and Celina
-The Sexy Lady of the Hills (#13) – Brad and Stella
-The Hot Massage (#14) – Brad and Scarlet
-My Girlfriend’s Hot Friend (#15) – Brad, Betty, and Julie.

The title of each short story pretty much gives you an idea of what to expect storyline wise. So, if you are looking for a book you can pick up and put down, something short to read before bed, or waiting for an appointment, and you like a little sizzle in your reading material- then this is the book for you!

Thank you, Joyce McCarthy!

Sanctuary (Captivity Series Book 2) by Sarah Biglow & Molly Zenk – Review by Angela Hayes

Sanctuary (Captivity Book 2)Sanctuary by Sarah Biglow
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Sanctuary is the second book in the Captivity series by Molly Zenk and Sarah Biglow. It is a short paranormal romance with shapeshifters, action, adventure, and danger. And it is a very quick and easy read. After reading the first intriguing instalment, I was more than curious to see what this second episode would have in store for us. I actually found that I enjoyed this book a lot more than the first one- and am well and truly hooked now. I connected more with the characters this time round, than with the first book. Even though the books are quite short, a lot happens in a short space and the characters go through quite a lot in the process. I was anxiously following along to see how everything plays out for them.
After the events in the previous book, our team is on the run from the Shiver of Sirens who are hunting them- but they just seem to stumble from one mishap right into another. Aiden’s Bloodgraft is draining his lifeforce- and things take a turn for the worse. So, their quest for Sanctuary becomes a race against time. Lorelei has been thrown off her game majorly with what she’s going through. This leaves an opening for mistakes to happen, which if they do, could have deadly consequences. There are hearts at risk and lives on the line. Much is at stake for this band of asylum seekers. Decisions will need to be made, with no room for error. Our team is desperate to find Sanctuary, but if they find it, will it be everything they’d hoped for. We’ll have to read the next book to find out what happens next.
Can’t wait to dive into book #3!!

Thank you, Ms. Zenk and Ms. Biglow!

Sanctuary (Captivity Book 2)Sanctuary by Sarah Biglow
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I give Sanctuary: A Paranormal Romance Novella (Captivity Book 2) by Sarah Biglow & Molly Zenk, 4 stars.
**This review contains spoilers from book 1.**

Aiden has been accepted into their new group, while Lorlelie has been mostly accepted. But Aiden is dying. The only hope they have is to find a place called Sanctuary. It is best for them to head out on foot, so they start out on their long journey. But the journey is not the only peril. Both Aiden and Lorelie have a price on their heads and are being hunted. Meanwhile Aiden is slowly dying and Lorelie is pregnant with a rare hybrid baby. Will they make it, or will there be more tragedy in this ragtag family?

I enjoyed book one in this series and this second book picked up right where it left off and pulled you right back in. There is action almost from the beginning, along with the characters finding their place in this group and figuring out their love lifes. The group is fun and interesting too. You learn more about the secondary characters and meet a few new ones along the way. Both Lorlelie and Aiden have to grow and adapt to their new lives and it isn’t easy.

If you are a fan of supernatural adventure/romance, this book and series is for you.

Sanctuary (Captivity Series Book 2) by Sarah Biglow & Molly Zenk – Review by Karyn Taylor

Sanctuary (Captivity Book 2)Sanctuary by Sarah Biglow
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Sanctuary: A Paranormal Romance Novella is the 2nd book in the Captivity series by Sarah Biglow and Molly Zenk. It starts right where book one ‘Captivity’ finished. I would definitely advise reading the first book before reading Sanctuary as a lot of the storyline would be difficult to follow if you didn’t.
In Sanctuary, Aiden and Lorelei, along with their group of fellow shifters, are travelling towards Sanctuary in the hope that the blood graft that is slowly killing Aiden can be cured. As there is still a bounty on both Aiden and Lorelei’s heads, this journey will be met with many obstacles and great danger.
I loved that in this 2nd book, we get to know the characters so much better. We learn so much more of their pasts and their aspirations for the future.
Although there is great danger throughout the book, I love that it does have some humour through the story. I particularly love some of the names that they call each other, including Horse Face, Fish Fins, Free Range and Birdie Boy.
I’m so looking forward to finding out how this story ends in the 3rd book Eternity (I’m already a few chapters in and it’s awesome so far!)

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Legacy of Luck is the third book in the Druid’s Brooch series. It can be read as a standalone. Having read previous books in this series I can say that this one is just as awesome. The author has a great eye for detail and weaves the story in a way that makes you feel like you are right there with the characters. There are fantasy elements blended with realistic ones and it makes for a believable tale. Despite a few slow places in the story, the overall adventure, drama, and plot twists keep you hooked.

Sanctuary (Captivity #2) by Sarah Biglow & Molly Zenk

5 out of 5 stars

Sanctuary is the second book in the Captivity series written by Sarah Biglow & Molly Zenk is a great short read with a big cliff hanger. This is a Paranormal Romance with a twist where shifters are captive in the future and what will they risk to break free?

Since Lorelei, Aiden and their MCU allies escaped their city prison will they die searching for a shifter haven that may not exist?

Time is running out for Aiden with the blood graft running through his body and Lorelei with the hybrid baby growing in her. With being chased by a deadly shiver of sirens and plagued by disaster after disaster, they must fight at every turn for a chance at health and freedom in Sanctuary.

Can they make it to Sanctuary with-out losing Aiden? Will they make it to sanctuary before Lorelei gives birth? Will the MCU and their allies find what they are looking for?

I highly recommend this book/series and can’t wait to read book three Eternity…

Trouble in Mind (Interstellar Rescue, #2)Trouble in Mind by Donna S. Frelick
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Trouble in Mind Interstellar Rescue Series Book 2 by Donna S. Frelick is a Sci Fi thriller that is a compelling read. It is an amazing tale of suspense and adventure, intrigue and mystery and creatures from other worlds. This story continues on from the first one and I was thoroughly engrossed from start to finish. Old characters return and new ones take centre stage as Donna has woven a complex story with so many moving parts but the plot is clever and one that is easy to follow and flows easily.

Asia once again finds her life turned upside down when she and her son are kidnapped and her husband, Ethan is left fighting for his life.

Lana an FBI special agent has been called in to cover the case but Ethan has called in friends from off world to help. When Gabriel who is a tracker and a telepath agrees to help find them, he finds the task is not going to be as easy as he thought. Lana and Gabriels relationship is just sizzling both in between and out of the sheets but can Lana understand this mystery man and all that he is and put aside their differences. Can they face off against the deadly hunters and save those in the line of fire and manage to survive themselves whilst doing so?

I look forward to more of this series.

Game Changer is a romance comedy by an author that is new to me. There were some very comical moment while reading but also some that made me want to scream. It’s a story that revolves around Poppy and Mac. Poppy gets like a golden opportunity for a career and she takes it to move from Georgia to NYC. Mac is more like the silent type while poppy is like a talkative parrot. There are many other characters that are involved and maybe there is a possible book 2 for involving two of them. I would recommend for anyone that enjoys the rom-com and the banter to pick this book up.

I loved this book. Another great book by this wonderful author. I am never disappointed when I read a Via Mari book, they are always full of action, suspense, and romance. This one is no different. I am glad I am getting to know more characters in each book and I also appreciate when characters from the other books show up. I don’t want to give anything away but when you read this story it fills in parts from the first book that you didn’t even know were missing. I really enjoyed how two sisters that were raised the same and how differently they deal with issues from their past. I loved the two main characters in this story and found myself hoping that they find love. If you want to know how this turns out then you must read this awesome suspenseful book with some unexpected twists and turns. You will not be disappointed. I highly recommend this book.

I love this author! Seriously, I don’t feel like I’m reading, I’m immersed in every scene.
I enjoyed reading about Poppy and her new adventure moving to New York. Her first weekend in town she gets lost and, well you need to read for yourself as that was one of the best first meetings ever.
This had ups and downs and I didn’t expect what happened at all.
And I really loved the interweaving of another stories characters from Phoebe Alexander’s Rule Breaker.
Will be on the lookout for more from this author as its always amazing.

Finding Ruth: A Daughter’s Quest to Discover Her Mother’s Past by Cynthia Hamilton was a compelling and intriguing story. I loved following Ruth as her story progressed. I felt she was a very layered and complex character. She had excellent development as the story moved. I could not put this book down! I loved her character and the way the author chose to portray her story.

The author did an excellent job on the setting and visualization for this story as well. It had enough detail but not so much as to distract from the storyline. The storyline was easy to follow and transitioned smoothly from one chapter to the next. This is definitely a novel worth 5-stars and I highly recommend it.

By: Donna S. Frelick
My Rating: 4 of 5 stars

Trouble in Mind: Interstellar Rescue Series Book 2 by Donna S. Frelick was an exciting, detailed original read, that had me hooked.

The second book in this series, we are taken on a new adventure, a new mystery, with new MC’s. In saying that, this book can be read as a standalone. Like the first, this book is told in multi POV, so lots more details and added impact. And I will tell you that, this book has more than impact, it’s gripping, compelling and engaging. There is so much going on outside of the main plot, that you forget you’re reading. The detail is top shelf, it pulls you in and makes the world/s, all the more realistic and picturesque. The MC’s interaction where fun, emotional and I quickly start to care for them.

Overall this book is worth your time and energy. It’s edgy, well written and addicting as hell, and if you haven’t guessed from that, this book gets my super high recommendation and my stamp of approval.

Happy Reading.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Undercover is the second book in Via Mari’s Billionaire Bodyguards’ series where another member of the elite security team protecting the wealthiest men in the world gets his story! You can read these stories as standalones but I would recommend taking the series from the beginning as that helps you get deeper into that intriguing universe that the writer has created and where many of her series intersect! I have read EVERY SINGLE ONE of her stories and I welcome you into her universe!
Undercover gives us Matt’s story! He is the security for the wealthy AND Marenah is the granddaughter of the head of Russian Bratva (Mafia). Also, she is the twin sister to Sasha who was the lead of the first book in the series! I am sure you think it will be one boring story, right? You couldn’t be further from the reality! It is a great love story with loads of passion and heat and action! The writer gives us secrets and twists and turns and you will be craving for the next one when you get to the end. It is like an addiction, the good kind!

This is yet another book in this series I have read and I was not disappointed. I really enjoyed yet another trip into the world of the Fae and ancient Ireland and Scotland this time. The author has quite a unique world that she has created. I was just as enthralled with this book as I have been with the others in this series I have read.

The characters are refreshing and bring the story to life. I really like how the author entwines the two worlds together of the enchanting Fae and the magic and the real world , I really enjoyed the cultural pasts that the author uses in this book of Ireland and Scotland. I like how the story wasn’t predictable. Eamonn and Katie’s characters really drew me more into the book. I like how each were each other’s second chance. I really routed for Eamonn at the beginning as Katie was really off limits to begin with. I also like how Eamonn’s family history with the brooch and the Fae gets entwined into the story. I will definitely be reading more from this author in the future.

I don’t know what else to say about all of these books and these series and this author that I haven’t already said. Each one I pick up I think, sooner or later I have to get tired of reading about these characters that weave in and out of all of these books. Well I just finished Undercover and it still hasn’t happened LOL I want more!! This author is seriously insanely talented and anyone that has not tried these books must one click them…I suggest starting way back at the start with The Prestian Series just because reading all of these has been such a ride that I’m not even close to being ready for it to end.

I love this part, this new bodyguards installment.. Getting inside the heads of this whole other part of these books is simply genius and I didnt know how much I wanted it till Via Mari delivered it.

There was so much I loved about this book, Marenah is Sasha’s twin sister and she is a beast, not really a beast but tough as nails and the heat factor between her and Matt who I absolutely love was off the charts. Not going in to the story line, it’s a fast moving edge of your seat type story that I read in one sitting.

Can not wait for more!!!

Simply Irresistible: A Totally Sweet Love Story by Jennifer L. Allen – Review by Angela Hayes

Simply Irresistible: A Totally Sweet Love StorySimply Irresistible: A Totally Sweet Love Story by Jennifer L. Allen
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Simply Irresistible: A Totally Sweet Love Story was my first read by Jennifer L. Allen. It is a super sweet, slow burn, contemporary/friends to lovers romance- with humour, emotion, and fun.
Tyler works as an executive assistant for the editor of a men’s magazine. He really hates his job- and his boss is quite a dislikeable person. Tyler has dreams, his ambition is to use this experience to propel him to greater things. He is quite popular with the ladies, but so far has been unlucky in love. He notices a beautiful woman at work, drawn to her gorgeous green eyes- and had been keeping a look out for her ever since. He decides he will need to find a way to get her to go out with him.
Melanie works for the same publisher, as the executive assistant for the women’s fashion magazine located in the same building as Tyler. She’s noticed him several times now and is quite intrigued by him. But she’s a little shy and awkward when it comes to social interactions, she can’t even bring herself to even look at him- so she’s going to have to pull up her big girl panties and pluck up the nerve to speak to him. She also has big dreams and can’t wait to put her ideas to work.
Melanie loves the 80’s and Tyler is a 90’s guy. Their friendship builds and slowly more develops. What does the future hold for these two? Will they be drawn together in the end, or pushed apart? Will they see their dreams to fruition- or will their dreams be ripped apart?
This was a quick and easy read with a great pace and a smooth flow. The characters were very realistic, which made them quite relatable and believable. The story is sweet and touching. Overall, this was a fun and light-hearted read!

Thank you, Ms. Allen!

Siren’s Call: Cursed Seas by Amy McKinley – Review by Randall Murphy
The characters are extremely well defined, and the plot flows very smoothly. The storyline is appealing and really piques the interest of those that like mythology-based books. A good balance is used between building the characters and creating interest in the plot in the early chapters. The anticipation and emotions build throughout and keep the reader interested and glued to the story. The references to established characters such as Zeus, Poseidon, and Ares give the reader an immediate reference point and understanding of the some of the relationships. This a story I would definitely recommend to anyone that enjoyed stories or movies like “Percy Jackson”.

Rule Breaker by Phoebe Alexander is a romance story with a twist that is hot, hot, hot. Phoebe is known for turning up the heat and she does not disappoint. I read it in one day, on the bus on the way to work, at lunch, on the way home on the bus and last night. I was so immersed that I could not put it down. There are a few characters that you want them to go away but the main characters just hit the spot. I loved Warren he just cracked me up with his excitement of his fantasies coming to life.
What happens when your husband wants to explore other things sexually? What he wants is a “Hotwife” and he may just get what he wants.

I will not give you any of the story as you need to sit and read it for yourself. Suffice it to say you will not be disappointed. You may also find yourself in need of a cold shower!

Game Changer by Sylvie Stewart is a winner. It is a wonderful romance story that just melts the heart. It is fun, it is hot, it is sad and most of all it has everything needed to keep you in your seat for hours just devouring it and laughing out loud, whilst also trying to keep the tears away in some places. I know whenever Sylvie’s name comes up for reading books I jump at the chance because she never lets me down. I know I am in safe hands as she take me on a journey with characters that you will love and a couple that you will not. If only we could have had more of the story in his POV as well, it would have added so much more value overall to the story but that is my opinion.

Poppy finds herself in a new town with a new job trying to be something she is not. Now she has found the one person she can be herself with, things take a turn she did not see coming.

Mac is a man of few words a little moody, ok he is a lot moody and has dealt with a lot in his life, so when he is thrust in the lime light he doesn’t cope very well. What doesn’t come easily and what he needs is a relationship, one with the beautiful red head, who is a walking contradiction, he cannot get off his mind.
