A Second Chance by Brooke May is a great paranormal romance read! It’s the first book in The Powder River Pack series, and it’s also my first book by this author but it certainly won’t be my last.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book from start to finish! It had the perfect amount of drama to keep me intrigued the whole way through. I loved following along with Anna and Derek and their undeniable connection. I look forward to reading book 2!

A Tangy Christmas Kiss by Allyson R. Abbott. This is such a fun series! I read all of them one right after the other. This is the story of city girl Mel who gets roped into flying to Spain to house sit of her aunt. It being a bungalow on the beach in Spain, she’s left wondering why her Mother is not jumping on it. She also has to leave right now, what’s the big rush she wonders. On her flight to Spain she starts getting more nervous as she doesn’t speak a lick of Spanish. The trip takes forever and she misses her lift to her house. Not knowing the language she’s scared & doesn’t know what to do. The handsome Spanish stranger she sat by on the flight just happens to help her even though she doesn’t understand a word he’s saying. Romance follows. Such a sweet, holiday love story. I loved it!

Beats of the Heart by Charli B. Rose is a Rockstar romance that ends on a cliffhanger but I still say you need to read it. I have read a lot to Rockstar romance but this story was a little different – Izzy and Dawson are already a couple, they are childhood friends turn lovers for about 3 years now. I’m so used to the boy meets girl, fall in love type book, this was a nice change. Izzy and Dawson are perfect for each other; supportive of the others dreams and do everything to make this long-distance relationship work. For this being Charli’s first novel, I have to say well done. The story flows and had me feeling every word. I am sitting on the edge of my seat, waiting for the next book to come out so I can find out what happens next.

Guilty Pleasures 2 is a couple of short stories. The short stories in this collection were so steamy. If you have a few hours to spare you should definitely read this set of stories. It’s about 4 stories featuring the same guy but, the female is different in each. This was like no other spicy set I’ve read before.
The Mother-In-Law by Judy Moore. I LOVED this book. It sucked me in and I didn’t stop reading until I was finished. Its the story of Victoria who is in Las Vegas at a Seminar for work. She meets a handsome guy named Brad at the same seminar and they fall in love quickly & madly. Making a rash decision to get married, the go to a quickie wedding chapel and before you know it they are saying “I do”. After a wonderful honeymoon they head home to Brad’s home in Florida to meet his mom & 5 year old son Andy. Victoria instantly falls in love with Andy and he loves her too but Madeline, Brad’s mom, is another story. She is cold, mean and standoffish even telling Victoria she could lose some weight. As Victoria tries to settle into her new home even after finding out its Madeline’s home, Brad & Andy just live with her, she finds more and more things to question. When she makes a mistake in taking Andy to look at bikes and he freaks out, she finds out his mom was run over on a bicycle. Brad just keeps apologizing for all the secrets that are coming out and Victoria is getting seriously concerned she’s made a horrible mistake. Will Victoria find out the complete truth to this house of horrors or will she become another statistic? This is a wonderful book full of mystery & intrique. I can’t wait to read more by this author!

An interesting and fascinating story following a new marriage after a short relationship between two individuals who meet at a training event. Victoria is a focused and dedicated woman who marries Brad. With this marriage she becomes a step mom to Andy. After she moved in with Brad she discovers a secret. He still lives with his mother who has many hidden things. The Mother-In-Law was a fast paced story and I really enjoyed it. Madeline, the mother-in-law, was creepy from the get go. I loved Victoria’s character.

Wish Upon a Bollywood Star By: Pamela Q. Fernandes 5 out of 5 stars
The story Wish Upon a Bollywood Star by Pamela Q. Fernandes is a book that I enjoyed reading. It is a story that hooks you in from the beginning and I didn’t want to put it down until I had finished it. I loved reading about the characters of Vir Seth and Soumya Ninan. Their story is both interesting and intriguing. There is an attraction to each other even with their firm denials. One impulsive action has put them in the middle of a situation that had me wondering what was going to happen next. I found myself caring about Vir and Soumya with each chapter that I read. What does the future hold for them? Read this story to find out. I also enjoyed the interactions that Vir and Soumya have with the other characters in the book. The story flowed smoothly, is entertaining, and a pleasure to read. It is a book I would recommend to others.

Leaving Jackson Wolf was a great coming of age 5 star read.
Jackson and McDougal meet when they end up colliding with each other in school. McDougal is small for his age and was being bullied, the same ogre also turned on Jackson and needless to say he ended up suspended for 5 days. These two end up stealing some beer and getting to know each other a little more. This is also when they meet Lexi.
These two boys unexpectedly start to bond. As I learned more about Jackson my heart broke for the home life he had with his dad. I’m glad he had his grandma. As the story moves forward, these two face quite a few tough subjects.
I loved this story of strength and finding acceptance. My emotions were all over the place. Once I started I couldn’t stop reading. P.A. Kane does a great job of pulling you in with his writing. You connect with the characters and can feel what they are. This was my first read from P.A. Kane and I look forward to reading more from him.

I have to admit this book totally took me by surprise – the blurb I thought was quite vague and the cover doesn’t reveal much at all so going into it I had no preconceived ideas about what was going to happen and what I got was a fantastic story that I couldn’t put down until I had finished. The author told a really powerful story and I liked that it was through the eyes of a teenage boy and I think this may be a first for me. I have read many coming of age stories but the main character is usually a girl and the stories can be a little predictable but this one wasn’t at all. I could tell that the author had really thought about what he was writing – there weren’t a vast amount of characters in the story which made it feel more of an intimate read and I felt like I got to know them all really well. This is my first read by this author and I know that it won’t be the last; he has truly captured my attention with his engaging writing style and attention to detail with his characters. A great YA/Coming of Age book that I would 100% recommend!

This was a wonderful debut novel for this author and I am really excited to read the second book. I was drawn into the story fairly quickly and the ending definitely left me with questions, hence why I can’t wait to get my hands on book 2! Dawson and Izzy’s story was wonderful to follow and I could truly feel the love and connection that they had. I do have a slight soft spot for rock star romance stories so that is probably why I loved this one as much as I did. The writing was excellent and the author really brought her characters to life and gave them a real life feeling to them, I felt, as a reader, like I was living the highs and lows of their relationship with them, it was a very engaging read. I adored the way Dawson loved Izzy, it’s the kind of love I think everybody wants to experience. She was everything to him and he was the same to her. As I said previously with how the story ended I can’t wait to see what happens next – I hope the author isn’t about to break my heart! A fantastic debut novel that I highly recommend!

Claiming her Mates by Dia Cole is book one of the paranormal shifters romance series. This is the first I had heard of this author, but I never can resist a shifter/paranormal novel and I am glad for that. This book was well written and I absolutely fell in love with the characters. I cant wait to read what happens next in their story. The characters draw you in while the story line keeps you reading. I will definitely continue to look for more books by this author and read them. I give this book a solid 5 stars, and find something to read that will live up to these characters.

Souls Collide was a great 5 star read and book three in the Collide series.
I loved Alexa, she was bubbly and always happy about everything. She wanted everyone else around her to be the same way. One day she literally runs into Kent, who definitely doesn’t have the same outlook as Alexa. He is a cranky and short tempered man who doesn’t like anyone. And of course it didn’t help that she thought he was dressed up as a cop for Halloween, when he in fact is an officer.
Fate of course steps in and these two start to see each other in several different places, and when she becomes friends with his sister Abby things get even more interesting. I have to say I love what she did at the bar, well played Alexa. As for Kent, I was so upset with how mean and short he was with her.
“That’s enough!” I don’t know if I want to punch him in the face or go at it with him on the hood of my car.
As we move forward we start to understand Kent and why he is the way he is. Eventually my heart did open up to him. Things also take a twist when Alexa ends up with a stalker. The protector in Kent takes over and tries to keep her safe.
The banter between Kent and Alexa was great, she could definitely give it back to him ten fold. The secondary characters added a great element to the story. Overall I loved everything about this book, Kristina Beck does a great job of pulling you right in with her writing. There are twists and turns which I loved. Each story in the series can be read as a stand alone but I suggest starting with book one.

Fatal Legislation is the second book in Ellen Butler’s Karina Cardinal Mystery series. Yet again, Karina ends up being swept up in a mystery that her inquisitive mind won’t let her leave alone. I like the variety in the Karina Cardinal Mysteries. The first book, Isabella’s Painting, focused on art theft and this book focuses on political assassination. With Karina and other supporting characters to connect the stories, there is a sense of cohesion but the story has a very different feel to it. Fatal Legislation kept me on my toes. There was always something new coming up – another twist in the story. Whenever Karina starts to piece things together, something changes or comes up. It’s also interesting to see the strain it puts on Mike and Karina’s relationship as he struggles to balance his personal relationship with her and his responsibilities in the investigation. I wouldn’t normally go for political thrillers, but having met Karina in Isabella’s Painting I was eager to read this and found myself really enjoying it. It gives a fascinating insight into American politics and is suspenseful and enjoyable. For me, it’s a five star read. The story follows on from Isabella’s Painting, and I would recommend reading that book first (it’s also very good!). That said, Butler does a good job of setting the scene and reminding the reader of anything they need to know so if you’re only really after a political thriller you could come in at this book.

You just can’t go wrong with a good Christmas romance story, and Allyson just rocks it with each Christmas romance she writes, and A Frothy Christmas Kiss is no different. This whole series just seems to be getting better as it advances. What can be better when you find that shop that makes a coffee that is so perfect and then you meet the person who runs it and he just rock your world? That’s where Kat is at when she stops by the coffee shop that Dan runs. A little Christmas flirting doesn’t hurt either! There are some misunderstandings between Kat and Dan brought on by the lack of chatter between themselves. Just like Allyson’s other books this one is also so well written. There is nothing you aren’t going to like about this story. So, what are you waiting for? Go get this book and enjoy reading about Kat and Dan.

Snatching Dianna was action packed and interesting. It almost seemed like it couldn’t be the first book in this series, as the characters already have such developed relationships. It feels like each book may take you on a fast paced adventure, fighting crimes and saving lives. The personalities of the lawyers, spooks, etc were strong, sassy, and fun. The dirty scenes were hot, but kind of out of place? They were enjoyable but distracting to the action a bit. Overall, a good read and a good start to a series.

Souls Collide is Book 3 in the Collide series from author Kristina Beck. This is my first read from this author, and I can’t believe that I have never read any other books from this author before. I loved everything about this read, I was totally captivated with this read it was beautifully written, it flowed easily from chapter to chapter and I couldn’t put it down, I found myself reading it in one sitting and eagerly turning the pages wanting to find out what will happen next.
I absolutely loved the main characters Alexa & Kent. They don’t get off to the best start, but when sparks fly, their connection is undeniable. The suspense and mystery that is in this book keeps you on the edge of your seat. The relationship between Alexa & Kent is one you can’t help but route for and hope that they can get through all the ups and downs and get a HEA.
This is an incredible read, that I am now going to go back and read book 1 & 2 just so that I can enjoy more of this authors writing, and story lines. I’ll be eagerly awaiting Book 4 – and highly recommend this read!

The Something series by Aubrey Bondurant filled with five-star reads. This is the box set of books 1-3 and each story is just more compelling than the last, I had previously read these books, picking them up now and again between other books, I enjoyed them but reading them all together as a box set just seemed to pull me in so much more that as individual books, each book reveals a different story about different people but all in the same world they complement each other well.

Souls Collide (Collide Series #3) By Kristina Beck Rated 5 stars
This is my first book by this author and I am not sure how I have skipped over this wonderful writer. Her writing enchanted me. I loved meeting each of her characters. Then when they all came together….BAM! Pure Poetry in Motion! She gives them life…they are not just flat characters. I care about each of them for their own reasons…well except for a few naughty ones. But they help make the story so I guess I like them for what their purpose is.
I read this fairly quickly as it enchanted me from the beginning. After about the half way mark I kinda started losing interest. I kept plugging along and it was worth it. There are some amazing characters in here who struggle with real life problems. I learned a few things I didn’t know before. Alexa-I love the whole nickname thing and the idea behind it. Kent…you made me want to hug you. But you would not like that at least at first. Abby- Dayum girl! You are inspiring!
Overall this story was right up my alley. I enjoyed reading it and will keep this author in mind when looking for a fun, sexy romance.
Snatching Dianna is book one in the Feisty Lawyers series by Seelie Kay. This author intrigued me with the storyline. I have not read any of Seelie Kay’s work, and I was delighted to find it was amazingly good. The writing style was really engaging for a reader, had excitement and thrilling suspenseful moments, and the characters blended effortlessly and provided a plethora of articulate actions and dramatic displays.
I love a good what happened drama and Snatching Dianna was an excellent example of a top quality suspense. I will definitely be reading more from this author and this series will be on my must read list. 5 stars.

Written in the Stars (Fallen Eagles MC Series Book 2) By: T. Birmingham 5 out of 5 stars
The story Written in the Stars (Fallen Eagles MC Series Book 2) by T. Birmingham is a book with both suspense and romance. I loved reading it just as much as I did the first one. It is a story that draws you in and I found myself lost in the book until I had finished. There are page-turning moments which had me wondering what was going to happen next. There is a mystery that must be solved which will keep you guessing. This is also a story about romance and a connection that is felt by two of the characters. I loved reading about the characters of Davis “Eagle” Landon and Winter Markham. Eagle is a businessman. He is also the President of the Fallen Eagles MC. He gives a lot back to the community, especially veterans. He also is very attracted to Winter. Winter is a woman who owns her own business and has wonderful friends and family. Winter can feel lonely and like she is separate/apart. She also feels an attraction to Eagle. What does the future hold for Eagle and Winter? Will the sparks fly, and a serious relationship start? The Fallen Eagles have taken on a case involving a serial murderer. Those that are being murdered fit Winter’s description. How much danger is she in? Read this book to find out. I enjoyed reading about the additional characters that are in this story. Many of them were introduced in the first book in the series. There are plenty of interactions and bantering that goes on. I like the feeling of family and home that the story gives you as well as the close friendships that you read about. My emotions went up and down along with the characters and I found myself caring about what happens to them. This is a wonderful second book in the series and I look forward to reading the next one.

The story The Mother-in-Law by Judy Moore is a book that I loved reading. It is suspenseful and had times when I was turning pages to find out what was going to happen next. I got hooked into the story early on and didn’t want to put it down until I had finished reading it. I enjoyed reading about the main character and how she is so happy when she marries. She is looking forward to the future. Then she meets her mother-in-law. From there she goes through many different emotions as she works to adapt and start her new life. This character is one that I could have empathy for as she starts to become overwhelmed and she begins to uncover secrets about her new family. She has doubts and suspicions. The mother-in-law in this story is harsh with her speech and makes life uncomfortable for those around her. This is a story that had me on the edge of my seat. There is intense dialogue and situations. If you are looking for a thrilling book to read, look no further.

Surviving Eden is the first book in the Surviving series by Virginia Wine. This is my first book byMs. Wine, but definitely won’t be the last. I’m really looking forward to reading the next book in this series. This forbidden romance is full of mystery, suspense and drama. Eden and Theo’s story is highly emotional and even though Theo is Eden’s doctor the chemistry between the two is pulling them together. Both characters are strong and have not had the ideal life, will they be able to overcome the doctor/patient stigma and find true happiness? Thi twists and turn throughout this book will have you wondering what is coming next. I look forward to reading more from this author in the future.

Snatching Dianna is the first book in the Feisty Lawyers series by Seelie Kay. This is the first book I have read by this author, but I’m definitely looking forward to reading the next book in the series. This short story is full of action, suspense, drama and a little romance. I was hooked on this book from the beginning and couldn’t put it down until I finished. As Janet and Cade, along with the entire police department race to find the missing Law School student, Dianna, before it is too late, it is the small clues that will guide them on their journey. This story is engaging and the characters are true to life. The book made me feel like I was right there chasing after the bad guys. I look forward to reading the next book in this series.
Beats of the Heart by Charli B. Rose 5 out of 5 stars
This story ends in a cliffhanger and also contains friends-to-lovers with second chances, heartbreak, loss, friendship, stardom, heart-ache, emotion, drama, mystery, and more. Beats of the Heart is the first book in Dawson and Izzy’s story written by Charli B. Rose and it’s the first book that I have read by this author. The characters are amazing and realistic and I loved their quirky ways. The plot was great and the descriptions of the places this author wrote about brought the story more realistic. You could see pretty quickly Dawson love and his devotion. Izzy was a good heroine, trying to be supportive of her man’s career and dream while still solidifying her own identity. (Even when the insecurities would come out)…. What happened to Lizzie? Why did Dawson flake on Lizzie?
I would write more but I really don’t want to give anything away… I highly recommend this book and can’t wait to read book two… By Tracy @tracym

Definitely a Christmas series not to miss! A Pink Christmas Kiss is the third book in the Christmas Kiss Series by Allyson R. Abbott. This book follows Billie and Leroy. Billie, a small town girl, moves to the big city to pursue her career aspirations in marketing. Billie left her high school sweetheart, Leroy behind. Billie wasn’t doing so hot with her job and her life wasn’t as she imagined it would be. Then she got word that her dad isn’t doing so well physically and decided that she needed to move back home to help out in the family business. That family business just so happens to be the only mechanic garage in the town. Billie grew up in the business and learned everything from her dad. So Billie’s new aspiration in life was to run the garage so her dad could take a step back. But what about Leroy? Billie also has a surprise waiting for her in the garage when she gets back too and it turns out to be from Leroy. Leroy finds out she is in town and it turns out that he is still angry at her. But of course, you know this is a HEA! This was a really cute book that I could not put down! I loved the characters and the interactions between them all. This is definitely a page turner! I can’t wait to read the next book in the series. I love this author!

This is the second book I’ve had the pleasure of reading from this author. I appreciate the different cultures she presents to her readers and the creative voice she uses to do so. This book was beautifully crafted with solid characters, quick pace, and rich detail. I found the plot to be charming, witty, and fun. The characters were relatable and flawed. Overall, this short book felt rich and full. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it and will gladly recommend it to others.

Guilty Pleasures Volume 2 by Joyce McCarthy is a collection of short stories of the erotica genre that are guaranteed to stoke your fires from beginning to end. Filled with stories exploring lust, chance encounters, dark fantasies, and more this book is more than able to get every readers’ dark side ready to party. Following the story of Brad, a college student, we get to see him travel through different sexual encounters with various women living out the needs of a younger man with any woman that will have him. From older woman/younger to quickies in bar bathrooms this book will rev your engine while still keeping your interest with the story underneath the steam. Each story in this collection can be read on its own but the intertwining of the stories makes them all that much better, and while they are all rather short, they made for a great quickie read. If you are looking for a good book to light your fire without too much filler than this is the collection for you.
