My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Mother-In-Law by Judy Moore. I LOVED this book. It sucked me in and I didn’t stop reading until I was finished. Its the story of Victoria who is in Las Vegas at a Seminar for work. She meets a handsome guy named Brad at the same seminar and they fall in love quickly & madly. Making a rash decision to get married, the go to a quickie wedding chapel and before you know it they are saying “I do”. After a wonderful honeymoon they head home to Brad’s home in Florida to meet his mom & 5 year old son Andy. Victoria instantly falls in love with Andy and he loves her too but Madeline, Brad’s mom, is another story. She is cold, mean and standoffish even telling Victoria she could lose some weight. As Victoria tries to settle into her new home even after finding out its Madeline’s home, Brad & Andy just live with her, she finds more and more things to question. When she makes a mistake in taking Andy to look at bikes and he freaks out, she finds out his mom was run over on a bicycle. Brad just keeps apologizing for all the secrets that are coming out and Victoria is getting seriously concerned she’s made a horrible mistake. Will Victoria find out the complete truth to this house of horrors or will she become another statistic? This is a wonderful book full of mystery & intrique. I can’t wait to read more by this author!
