Desperately Seeking Sixty-Nine (The Green Room Chronicles #1)Desperately Seeking Sixty-Nine by J.D. Frettier
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Desperately Seeking Sixty Nine: A Spicy Romantic Comedy about the Afterlife ( The Green Room Chronicles Book 1) by J D Frettier. This is the best book. I laughed, I cried and I couldn’t put it down. Its the story of 1969, Woodstock where Bonnie & Peter meet and begin their life long quest for love. They think “What happens at Woodstock, Stays at Woodstock” not so much! 47 years later Bonnie dies unexpectedly after a passionate night & whisked to Purgatory. She meets her best friend Dee at the Green Pearly Gates and her quest to reconnect with her soul mate begins. 69 is brought up several times in the book and it has special meaning to it. This is such a fun book and I loved every minute of it. I don’t want to say much more as not to spoil it for you all. Its the best story and I can’t wait to read the next one.

A Person Could Disappear Here by Terri George – Review by Tausha Treadway

A Person Could Disappear HereA Person Could Disappear Here by Terri George
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A Person Could Disappear Here by Terri George. This book is amazing. It hooks you as soon as you read the first chapter. Its the story of Abbey who lives in London and just like every other young girl in the world is looking for love. She meets a guy named Jensen from Denver on Facebook who she corresponds with for a lengthy period of time. He finally convinces her to fly to Denver to meet him.. Her best friend and flat mate Christina is totally against this. Once Abbey gets to Denver and meets Jensen he seems to be everything she’s looking for until he’s not. Parts of the book are brutal but so true to life. This is something that could happen in today’s crazy world. Its about friendship and the depths that a friend will go to in order to save her friend. This book was amazing and I read it in one sitting. I’m going to look up all Ms. George’s books and read them.

Everyday Enchantments: Musings on Ordinary Magic & Daily Conjurings by Maria DeBlassie. This book was AMAZING. I was not sure about it to be honest but let me tell you once I started I couldn’t put it down. It was simple yet so complicated all at the same time. It’s a series of stories about finding the wonderful in the normal, everyday simple things. Making life magical when no one expects anything but the same ole, same ole. It’s about slowing down and enjoying life and moments not things and taking into account all the wonderfulness, thankfulness, mindfulness and reflection in life. Letting life do its thing and enjoying the ride as you go. Read this book, you will be so glad you did!

WTF, God?: Understanding God in the Midst of Transition by Michelle N. Onuorah – Review by Tausha Treadway

WTF, God?: Understanding God in the Midst of TransitionWTF, God?: Understanding God in the Midst of Transition by Michelle N. Onuorah
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

WTF, God: Understanding God in the Midst of Transition by Michele Onuorah. This is the story of Michelle Onuorah who by the age of 22 thought she had the world by the tail and her life all planned out and what happens when she realizes nothing ever goes according to plan. This book is a quick and funny read. I was very wary of the book but I actually loved it. It’s basically the story of a young girl who thinks her life will turn out one way and of course it doesn’t. It tells the time old story that our lives are not written in stone and many things will happen to us, some good, some bad, but we always have to get back up and start over. Michelle shares with us the 10 life lessons she’s learned about God and teaches us that it’s ok to worship God and still question Him. I really enjoyed this short read.

The Devil’s Shadow (Wild Beasts Book 4) by T. Birmingham – Review by Tausha Treadway

The Devil's Shadow (Wild Beasts Series Book 4)The Devil’s Shadow by T. Birmingham
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Devil’s Shadow (Wild Beasts Book 4) by T Birmingham is the 4th book in the series but can be read as a standalone. I never knew I liked paranormal/fantasy books until lately. This is the story of Ginny & Kieran. Ginny thinks all the crazy things happening to her and her friends is because of her. She also thinks she might be going just a touch mad. Kieran decides that Ginny is his soul mate and nothing will stop him from getting her. Keiran is usually pretty laid back but with Ginny, it’s all systems go. As he’s trying to capture Ginny’s love, crazy things are going on all around them that they are trying to solve. Will Ginny give in and let her feelings known for Kieran or will her fear of dragging him down too, keep her from loving him. This is a great page turning book.
