Murder Among Friends by Linda Burson. I have come to love Linda Burson’s books. She is one of my favorite authors. This is the story of Camille Thurston who has come to stay with her brother Zach and his family because she needs a break mentally and physically. When a neighbor woman is reported missing her brother and his partner Russ are thrown into the investigation. The woman’s husband is an attorney and they have a small son. She has run off before but never for this long and not without letting him know where she is. Cammy who has worked for a Private Investigator can’t help but become involved in the investigation. Even though she needs rest she can’t resist the pull of a case. Will she help her brothers solve the case or will the woman not be found. Read Murder Among Friends to find out.

That’s a Wrap ( Paranormal Talent Agency Book 3) by Heather Silvio. I love these books. They are short and full of mystery and romance with a paranormal twist. This is the story of Mia Flynn as you know from the other books, is a Water Spirit living 200 years among humans. She is currently living in Las Vegas as a Producer for movies. When her star is murdered on a live social media promotion of the movie Mia has to put on her Detective hat. Jacob Dawson a real Las Vegas Metro Police Detective is not real happy with Mia’s help but he can’t deny the sparks that fly between them. These books have laugh out loud moments and make you forget the world around you as you are reading them. I can’t wait for the next installment. Read That’s a Wrap to see if Mia solves the murder and if Jacob takes a chance on the crazy read head.

Its the story of Livie Dunn who loves books and one days dreams to own her own book store. She has been in love with Kyle Huang since the beginning of time and just knows that one day he will see it too. When Kyle marries her worst enemy Mila from school, she’s is devastated. Kyle keeps pushing Livie away even though its the last thing he wants to do. Kyle was always taught to do the right thing which is why he married Mila but he now knows what a mistake it was. He realizes he’s in love with Livie after she moves 2 countries away to open a book store in Scotland. Will Kyle move to Scotland and claim his one true love? Will Livie let him in again even though she’s scared he will break her heart again? Read Fictional-ish to find out.

Its the story of Jaxon Jaimison and Maddison Cole who are super infatuated with each other. Even when they first met at 15 they knew they would be together. The chemistry between them is sizzling. When Jaxon leaves town and breaks Maddison’s heart she doesn’t think she will ever heal and she knows she will never love again. Then Jaxon’s dad marries Maddison’s step sister making them step siblings causing another kink. When Jaxon comes back to town and just acts like nothing has happened will Maddison be able to forgive him and move on and not care what other people think about their relationship? I loved both these books. They are what a good romance is all about.

The Immigrant: An Italian in America ( Woman Scientist Novel 1, The Italian Saga by Gaia Amman. I love these books and this one takes us back to Leda’s growing up years and then follows her on her adventure to American to pursue her Graduate research. Leda is not sure if she did the right thing between missing her boyfriend, her band, her family and finding out all the differences in American and Italy. She is pretty shell shocked. We meet several new characters who try to help her thru her journey in America. Seeing Immigration thru the eyes of an immigrant is very eye opening. How they see American and the things we do is very comical. Will she survive this crazy time, will her relationship survive her being gone? I’ve really enjoyed these books and can’t wait for the next one

When War kidnaps Grace and takes over her ship the battle begins even though there is a growing attraction between the two. Grace questions every thing and it drives War crazy. They bicker like an old married couple. The situation becomes more dangerous by the second and War doesn’t know if he can keep them all safe. Add the complications of crazy emotions and its a recipe for disaster. Will War continue with his feelings for Grace even though it will put her in even more danger. Demon’s Angel: Satan’s Devils MC (Colorado Chapter) #2 by Manda Mellett. I really enjoy this series. This is Demon’s story who has had to move to Colorado to protect a young woman named Violet. Demon is the President of the Colorado Chapter of Satan’s Devils and he has just found out about his past in the previous books. This is a standalone but I do think it will help if you’ve read the previous books. This story revolves around Demon and Violet. Demon was best friends with Violets brother, Nathan and promised him he would always look out for her even though she had a horrible crush on him and drove him crazy. Now that Violet has gotten herself in a mess he feels responsible for her and his feelings are different towards her. She’s grown now and beautiful and has a son who Demon wants to protect not only for the promise he made Nathan but because his feelings are changing towards her. Violet believes he still thinks of her only as a sister. Will Demon confess to Violet his real feelings for her before its too late and will he save her and her son from her ex? This book will keep you on your toes and have you thinking about it long after you’ve finished.

Sparks flew and when they meet 6 years later sparks are still flying. Chase talks Cassie into going out with him and even though Cassie is single she is not able to emotionally or physically be in a relationship now. Cassie has had a lot of tragedies in her life and she is still dealing with that. When Cassie’s life is at stake because of her past Ian will do all he can to protect her but he will find out what’s she hiding if he’s going to save her. This is the story of Kerry Williams who is overwhelmed to say the least. She is starting a new job, taking care of her injured father and volunteering her therapy dog at the Veterans Center, all while dealing with a major heartbreak. One day her father’s caretaker doesn’t show up and Willow runs off, as Kerry runs after Willow she runs smack dab into her K9 Officer neighbor who has Willow. Caleb Bradshaw is dealing with heartache of his own as he just recently lost his K9 partner Trigger. He pushes Willow away but Willow keeps trying to get to Caleb like she knows he needs her. Impact ( Twisted Hearts Love Story #4) by Autumn Sand. This can be read as a standalone but it helps to have read the prior books to know the characters. Finally Manny’s Story! This is the story we’ve all been waiting on, the story of Manny and Zoe. Manny is a major player and has said he will never settle down until he meets Zoe but he still gets scared and leaves her. Now years later he sees her again and she’s still in love with him even if he broke her heart. Manny is not just a player he is a good person, he’s always there for his friends and the player personal is a wall he keeps up. Will he let that wall down to be with Zoe or will he get scared and run again. Will Zoe forget the hurt he put her thru and try again? This book goes into detail about Manny’s past and why he’s the way he is. Its a very emotional read. I think it’s my favorite so far! Read Impact, you won’t be disappointed!

Its the story of Emeline Fischer and Thomas Capshaw aka Cappy who are best friends growing up on the beaches of Florida. Emeline is an artist who has to work all kinds of jobs to make ends meet. Cappy has moved on to New York City working as a Sketch Artist. When he finds out he was given his grandpa’s beach cottage after he passed he heads back to Florida. He never expected to see Emeline again but he runs right into her at the cafe he visits. They end up going down memory lane and emotions are all over the place. Emeline has always loved Cappy and Cappy has always loved Emeline. Will they let down their defenses and take a chance on love. read Run to the Sea to find out.

Minx by Maggie Adams. I loved this book. Its a short, hilarious read. Its the story of Miranda Blake who is almost 50 and dealing with all the “hilarious” things our bodies do to us during this time and also dealing with work, being overweight and trying to figure out what the heck to do after a divorce. She has a great group of friends that are her rocks and they are always there for her. She is super surprised when Reed a handsome devil, sweeps her off her feet and things begin to look up. This book is all about a woman who was used and abused for years and gets dumped and finding her way back to the woman she once was, sassy and classy. I loved this book and I hope to read more from this author.

Levi has been there for Luna thru thick and thin except for the fact that Luna is in love with Noah, Levi’s older brother and Levi forbids them being together. Noah has always kept his distance because of age difference but not this time. He’s determined to be with his love. Things are going well until Luna disappears in the middle of the night. Abandoned by Love: Book 1 in the Shattered Hearts Duet by Aleya Michelle. This is such an emotional read. I laughed, I cried, I got angry. Its the story of Jaxon Mayer & Emily Saunders who fell in love at a very young age. Jaxon was a good baseball player and Emily was a gymnast. Their whole lives were about each other only, every second they could spend together they did. They didn’t party with friends, they didn’t go out with friends they were always together until one fateful night and they went to a party together. All I’m going to say is a drunk driver was involved and it doesn’t end well. It changes Emily & Jaxon’s future forever. This story goes back and forth between the present , past and future and I loved the way it was written. This is a sweet, heartbreaking story so be prepared to get involved! I loved it.

Heels of Fortune: PJ Santini Series Book 2 by Lynne Russell. Let me start by saying I LOVE these books. They are the best books I’ve read in a long time. This book kinda picks up where Hell On Heels leaves off. PJ Santini is a “reporter” when she shows up to the newsroom and a private investigator. She loves high heels and her family and best friends. PJ is constantly getting into messes. Her husband dies on their honeymoon and she finds out he left her with a big secret that bad people don’t want her to have. She decides to try and solve this puzzle with the help of her friends Hot Tango Dly ( a fellow reporter) , her very best friend Vicki and her cousin Sandro. If they can’t solve this before the bad guys get to her she will be a dead girl in heels! This book sucks you in and you can’t turn the pages fast enough.

This book will suck you in and you won’t put it down until you are finished. Its the story of Anaya who is an Interior Designer who is in a 12 year relationship with Ignacio. Ignacio has become the head boss of the biggest crime family and he’s been cheating on her and leaving her alone for years. Anaya meets Tony one night at his Night Club and there is instant chemistry. She knows Tony is hiding something from her but she wants to know all about him. They try to stay away from one another but they can’t. Will Tony let down his walls and let Anaya in and will Anaya trust Tony to not hurt her like Ignacio has? Read Bedlam to find out!

She wants to fit in, find a few friends and write her romance novels. When she finds this little Italian part of the city she falls in love and finds a apartment and an Italian restaurant that is amazing. While she’s in that restaurant one day she see Vincent Mancetti a handsome, Italian American man with all the sexiness she can only imagine in her novels. Vincent is a very successful attorney who has it all together and tries to take care of his old neighborhood. He doesn’t have time for relationships but when he sees Deidre he has to have her. Some of Vincent’s family is in charge of the mafia and Vincent has tried very hard to steer clear of that path. When he and Deidre finally get together he realizes she’s not just a one night stand and when her past mixes with what he’s involved in now will they make it thru because Deidre is all about trust. Will she forgive Vincent when he finally comes clean with what he’s kept from her. Read Man with the Mafia to find out. I loved this book and read it in one sitting!

This is the story of Enzo Chevalier who lost his hearing but was determined to not let it stand in the way of his success and it didn’t. He has everything working good until the love of his life walks out on him. Enter Florian Beaudry who Rowan had a relationship with in high school. Florian had his whole life planned to a tee or so he thought. When he walks out on his girlfriend and best friend he realizes his feelings for Enzo never went away. Both guys have suffered from the prejudices of our society physically and emotionally but they are learning to love and trust again. She literally falls into David “Daisy” MacKenzie’s lap and after losing 10 hours of memories they wake up married. Will they see that they need love or will they give up too soon. Garrett ( Dark Water Security Book 2) By Madison Quinn. This is the story of Garrett and Hope who met 2 1/2 years ago at one of Garrett’s buddies weddings. They had a wonderful night together and Hope is the only woman to give Garrett feelings other than a one night stand until she’s gone the next morning without a note or her last name. When they meet again when Garrett gets a request for a live in security job and comes face to face with Hope again he has to take the job. Hope is the guys housekeeper so they will be living under the same roof. Only every time Garrett tries to talk to Hope she freaks out and almost has a panic attack. On top of that Richard the guy that hired Garrett has some really bad guys trying to kill him. Will Garrett keep Hope and Richard safe and will Hope be able to trust Garrett and get past the tragedies she’s suffered and let him in. Read Garrett, you won’t be disappointed.

Broken Pieces by Judith B. Pinkard. This is a biographical story of the authors life. Its a story based on faith in God and His amazing miracles. The story of her birth and the months afterwards are nothing short of a miracle and if you have the slightest doubt that there is a God read this book and you will be a firm believer. Judy’s parents meet and instantly fall in love shortly afterwards her mom get pregnant but doesn’t tell her dad and takes off. Once Judy is born her mom looks up the dad and they get married. On the way home from that they are in a horrific car accident. It is only by the Grace of God that they all survived. Afterwards Judy’s mom is very messed up in looks and emotionally. Its the story of true faith and knowing that He will take care of all things! I felt very blessed after reading this story. Its such a wonderful story of survival and love. It was a super short read but be prepared to finish once you start.

FORTITUDE by Carrie Dalby. This is not the usual type of book that I read but I really enjoyed it. This was a very emotional read set in 1898 when Claire decides to be nurse for the Buffalo Solider’s during the Spanish American War. This was unheard of for a red head, freckled, white woman but Claire was not your average woman. Her best friend was Creole which was not popular during the Jim Crow Law days. As a nurse she falls in love with a solider and that throws her into the fire of the racial wars of the times. Claire is very hard headed and will do what she wants, not normal in that day and time. She is a modern day bad a#@! I loved this book and I read it in one sitting. I think you will enjoy it as much as I did!

Me and Cinderella ( The Dirty Rooster Book 2) By Kelly Mooney. This is the 2nd book in The Dirty Rooster series but it can be read as a standalone. I loved this story about Eli and Remington or Remi. He’s such a good guy from the wrong side of town and she is a rich princess from the right side of town with everything she ever needs and more. She becomes best friends with Shea, Eli’s sister and would rather spend time with her than at home. Eli leaves town as soon as he can, goes to college, graduates and is very successful. He has vowed to never return to Sugar Creek but when their father gets out of prison he heads back to take care of his little brother Brandon. He never expects to run right into Remi as soon as he gets back but he does and the chemistry is still there. Remi feels it too but her parents would never approve. Will they both give in to their feelings regardless of everyone else. Read Me and Cinderella to find out.
