Self Love by T.L. Clark – Review by Tausha Treadway

Self LoveSelf Love by T.L. Clark
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Self Love: A British Tale of Woe & Wit by TL Clark. This is the story of Molly, a mid 30s, overweight, florist who has the lowest self esteem of anyone! She has quit her office job and started her own Florist shop out of her home. Her latest boyfriend has broken up with her and she feels like she’s never going to find anyone. She has had some really mean things happen to her by men & her Mom says mean things to her all the time. She has a best friend Wendy who is her voice of reason. Wendy talks Molly into joining a weight loss group together. This book is full of British humor which I love. I did get bored with Molly being so hard on herself throughout the first of the book but it was understandable with the way her mom talked to her. This book will make you cry, laugh and cringe. I really enjoyed it.

The Boss Man: A Steamy Contemporary Romantic Suspense Novel (The Manly Series Book 4)The Boss Man: A Steamy Contemporary Romantic Suspense Novel by Teddy Hester
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Boss Man ( The Manly Series Book 4) by Teddy Hester. This is the first book I’ve read by Teddy Hester. It was a fun, quick read. Its the story of Jack DePaul a great engineer who owns the company Ameritalia. They come in to help with a job that is behind or not going to make deadline. He can fix almost anything and usually does but if he doesn’t make deadline it can cost him everything. Each town offers up new women but when he meets Jillian Vickers at a bbq its different. She’s got under his skin and he can’t shake her. Jillian has spent her whole life trying to not be taken care of by her father and her brothers she doesn’t need another “daddy”. She is supposed to write an article about the green energy project on the job Jack is over so he ends up hiring her to interview his men. What was he thinking, now he has to be around her all night at the job! Eventually they can’t keep their hands off each other and feelings become involved. Will Jack finish his job on time and find out a way to keep Jillian in his life? Will Jillian allow Jack to take care of her and risk her heart in the process. This is a short, sweet, sexy read.

Fisher of Men (Eastern Shore Swingers #1) by Phoebe Alexander – Review by Tausha Treadway

Fisher of MenFisher of Men by Phoebe Alexander
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Fisher of Men (Eastern Shore Swingers #1) by Phoebe Alexander. This is the first book of this type I’ve read. I enjoyed it even though it was out of my comfort zone. It’s the story of Leah Miller a good Christian girl brought up in a very religious home. She has worked really hard and become the Assistant General Manager of The Pearl one of Ocean City’s nicest Hotels. During a party at The Pearl Leah meets Chris “Cap” Sheldon a Charter Fishing Captain and sparks instantly fly. Cap is very free sexually and Leah is not. Can the two come together, can Leah become more adventurous or can Cap settle down for Leah. Leah’s faith is so strong can she reconcile with this lifestyle or will Cap give it up because he’s fallen for Leah. This was a very sweet, sexy story.

Moments That Define Us (Gray Ghost #0.5) by Amy McKinley – Review by Tausha Treadway

Moments That Define Us (Gray Ghost #0.5)Moments That Define Us by Amy McKinley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Moments That Define Us (A Gray Ghost Prequel) by Amy McKinley. I’ve read all the Gray Ghost books and I love them. This one was no different. I loved reading about how they came together in the beginning. This is the story of Jack & Jenni, Jack is living in an abandoned building with his “crew”. Jack is trying to protect his neighborhood from Jenni’s brother Rex, the local drug dealer, and keep his friends from falling into Rex’s evil ways. Rex already hates Jack because he is dating his sister. When weapons are brought into the fight it could be the end of them all. These kids have all had a rough upbringing and it was really cool to see where they came from. I love this series and hope there are more.
