The Light at DawnThe Light at Dawn by K.L. Montgomery
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Light At Dawn by K. L. Montgomery. Wow! That sums up this book. It was a very emotional read but in a very good way. Its the story of Angelia White who suffers the worst trauma ever, the loss of a child in a school shooting. This in turn destroys her marriage. She survives due to her other 2 children and she starts working for stronger gun laws by leading rally’s and going on a public speaking tour. On one of the tours she meets Gun Rights Supporter Mark Lyon and they have an instant connection. Mark is divorced with a daughter Ashleigh who is his world until he suffers an unspeakable tragedy. The connection between Mark and Angelia won’t go away even though they live states apart! Will they be able to overcome the tragedies they have endured to make a long distance relationship work or will they be too scared to take the risk. This is a very emotional book dealing with child loss and school shootings but the writer handles it so well. Its a beautiful story.

Pandora's Poison (Hart & Cole Book 2)Pandora’s Poison by Sacha T. Y. Fortuné
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Pandora’s Poison (Hart & Cole Book 2) by Sacha T.Y. Fortune. This is a contemporary romance and it’s soooo good. I knew the minute I read the first book I was going to love Ms. Fortune’s writing and I’m hooked. This is the story of Darren & Luisa who you meet in the first book. This is the story of a marriage and all the things that can tear a marriage apart; lies, betrayal, ego. It’s also about trying to mend the marriage once all of these things take place. Darren thought he had forgiven Luisa until Gianni comes back into the picture wanting a relationship with the daughter Darren has raised. Darren has every right to wonder if that’s all he’s really back for. Darren doesn’t know if he’s strong enough to go thru all of this again. He’s had his heart broken before and doesn’t want to go down that road again. Darren is a workaholic but he loves his family. Trust me, don’t start this book until you’ve read book one so you will have more of a back story on Darren & Luisa. I can’t wait to read book 3!

An Italian Adventure (The Italian Saga, #1)An Italian Adventure by Gaia B. Amman
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

An Italian Adventure ( The Italian Saga) (Volume 1) by Gaia B Amman. This is such a endearing coming of age story about a young girl named Leda ( Lee to her friends and family) who is going thru the same things all preteens go thru. She meets Nico who has just moved to Sicily in the 1980’s and he’s a major bully who scares all the kids except Lee. She’s a tomboy who fights with her siblings all the time so she’s not scared of anyone. This book takes you thru the emotions of a young girl who must confess her sins at confession, cope with the pending divorce of her parents and dealing with sibling rivalry. It is set in the beautiful setting of Italy and in a time when life was more laid back but there are just as many emotions and difficulties in growing up. You become Lee in this story, you feel her heartaches, her fears and her love. Its an amazing story of growing up and becoming a teenager. I loved this book and if you are 12 or 50 you will enjoy it too.

Perrin might just be what Emil needs to draw out of his bitterness and shell. Will they help heal each other or will they let their pasts dictate their futures.
