This series is so full of emotion, romance, suspense, and mystery that you fall in love with the characters. My Hidden Life is the first book and its the beginning of a wonderful journey. In this book she is training each day and getting better and better. She is also becoming older and not wanting to follow all the strict rules that her father The Cappo puts in place. She must always come off as polished and perfect and also be ready to protect the family. She dreams of the freedom to where she can dress how she wants and be friends with who she wants. When another strike against her family happens she is ready to protect them with everything she has. Book 3 is My Free Life and Alessandra leaves for University and she has become the Cappo Donna. Hang On To Your Shirt Tails (Chasing Tails Book 2) by C.A. King. This is the second installment of the Chasing Tails saga. I highly recommend reading the first book before to understand this one. Its the continuing story of Tails and Brodie and they have their hands even more full now with the adopted children. Its been a full time job helping them adjust . They’ve moved on in isolation for security reasons but that has brought on its own set of problems. The things they have given up are harsh and not everyone is willing to do that. Leaving “The Club” is almost impossible and believing the war is over is a huge mistake. These headstrong kids are in for the fight of their lives. Brodie and Tails will do anything to protect their family! Will they survive? This is a fast paced roller coaster ride of a book and I loved it.

Journeys Through SpaceTime (Journeys Through Book 1) by James Talisman. This book is AWESOME! This is not my favorite Genre but I loved this story and can’t wait for the next book! This book includes time travel, multiverse theory and sci-fi/fantasy. The story starts with all the different worlds we will enter and you get to meet all the characters that you will encounter. I will say this is not a book you can just breeze through, you actually have to pay attention to get the full story. There are tons of characters and tons of worlds and they all intertwine. Its amazing when you realize how things all come together. I loved the handy dandy guide at the beginning because I kept going back to it! The descriptions of all the worlds and characters make you feel like you’ve been there and know all the characters. You go from Earth to alien worlds with the turn of a page and you feel as if you’ve actually traveled there. Do yourself a favor and grab a copy of this book and get lost in it. If you love Sci/Fi you won’t be disappointed. Just remember its not a light read so be prepared to delve deep. You will love it! Can’t wait for the next one!

Miami Days, Havana Nights by Linda Bennett Pennell . This is a great dual story with action and romance. The first part of the story is set in the mid 1920’s with a Jewish boy named Sam who is making extra money working for a gangster in a speakeasy to help his family. While there Sam witnesses a hit and is sent to Miami with no money. no friends and no place to hide. Sam’s only choice is to do that the Mob demands so he begins bootlegging . He is miserable until he sees the daughter of the family he’s staying with. Her name is Rebecca and he’s in love at first sight and she feels the same. Sam begs the Mob to let him out so he can marry Rebecca but that comes with a price. Will he be able to pay that price. This story is being told thru Liz Reams a History of American Crime Professor who has success, a great new boyfriend and a lead on information about this 1920’s Mob leader. What could be wrong, her life seems perfect. While she’s trying to figure out Sam’s story she realizes its very similar to her own. A long standing personal debt has her on a life changing journey. The man who gave her all the info expects her to pay, Will the price be too high? Read Miami Days, Havana Nights to find out! I LOVE these books.
Collision (Shattered Hearts Book 3) by Nicole Banks. This is the 3rd and final book in the Shattered Hearts Series. Its just as good as the others. This is a very emotional read with danger, mystery, suspense, and romance all in one book. This is probably my favorite of the 3. This is the story of Chase & Kris who hooked up 8 years ago and she never heard from him again. She was left hurt and felt betrayed by him. It seemed like Kris had just decided to move on when Chase shows back up. Chase wants to pick back up where they left off but Kris isn’t so sure. She didn’t know the reason he left was for work and that he would be gone for 8 years. There is also another part of the story which is so suspenseful that you will be on the edge of your seats but I can’t tell you much or I will ruin it for you. Just trust me and read this wonderful book. It’s amazing!

Shameless (The Orphan Train Saga Book 2) by Sherry A. Burton. I love these books! Each one leaves me wanting to read more. This is the second book in the series and these should be read in order. Its the continuing story of Cindy & her mom finding out that their grandmother/mother was an orphan on the infamous Orphan Trains. The Orphan Trains were used to take orphans and unwanted children West to people that wanted children. They have found tons of journals in the grandmother’s attic. This is Tobias aka Mouse’s story. We first met Tobias in the first book and he was not a person I wanted to read more about but this book explains why he’s so hard. He was a young orphan living on the streets of NYC learning to lie, cheat and steal to survive. He finds himself on the Train West but once he gets there it doesn’t work out and he’s sent back to NYC. He does really well this time around and becomes smarter in the ways of the streets until he sees MIleta aka Mildred. He’s obsessed with her and somehow ends up on another Train headed West and ends up in a very crime ridden gang called the Purple Gang Society. I loved reading about Tobias and actually liked his story even more than Mileta’s! I can’t wait for the next heartbreaking story. These are some of the best books I’ve read this year!

Its the story of Joe a ex high ranking biker gang member who has lots of bad stuff in his past. He left the biker gang and never looked back but not without burning some bridges along the way. He has guilt by the ton for things he’s done in his past but when he meets Gwen he knows no matter what he has to have her. Gwen is a sassy, hardworking some would say workaholic, beautiful woman who knows better than to get involved with a guy like Joe. Her sister Gabby just happens to be Joe’s best friend Heath’s wife and Gabby does her best to convince Gwen not to date Joe. Gwen finally has to tell her sister that she’s a big girl and she can take care of herself even though she’s not convinced. She doesn’t have the time for a relationship especially with someone with as much baggage as Joe. Joe’s also got some bad guys out to get him for leaving the club and the only way they know they can hurt him the most is thru Gwen. Will Joe and Gwen survive the Gangs attempt to make Joe pay? Read Out Bad to find out!

The Flood by Meghan O’Flynn. Let me start by saying Meghan O’Flynn is one of my very favorite authors. This book just goes right in there with her other amazing reads. Once you start this you can’t put it down because you have to know what happens next. Its Louisiana and an unprecedented storm is occurring. Victoria Larson and her husband Chad are sitting on the roof of their home watching their beloved city turn into a lake with another massive storm heading their way. They’ve had no food or water for 3 days and don’t see any way in site of getting any until Wendy shows up in a boat and whisks them away to a water proof bunker. Once they get there Victoria goes on high alert because there is a lock on the outside of the door and the food boxes are empty. What is going on? How are all these people going to survive if there is no food. She’s also getting the weird vibe that everyone knows Wendy from before the flood. Are they all in a big plot together against her or is her mind just going crazy from lack of nutrition. This book poses the all important questions “what lengths would you go to in order to survive?” This book is a emotional roller coaster and I honestly didn’t know what was going to happen from one chapter to the next. Its a great book!

Truck Stopped (Satan’s Devils MC #11) by Manda Mellett. This book was AMAZING! I have loved every book in this series and didn’t want to read this one knowing the end was near but once I picked it up I couldn’t put it down. Its the story of Truck who has left the club to never return, broken, burned, injured physically and mentally. Enter Allie who we have read about in most of the books as the lose woman every guy in the club has been with. We’ve loved to hate her now we see a different side. She’s sent to try to get Truck back in the club. It’s not an easy task. Truck is at the very lowest point of his life even having thoughts of ending it all but Allie makes herself his friend. Is she encouraging him for herself or the club or really for him? Can he be with someone who has been with all his buddies intimately? Allie loves sex and makes no bones about it but she’s always had a soft spot for Truck and she’s afraid if she can’t reach him it may be the end of the road for him! I encourage you all to buy this series and don’t mess around buying one or two buy them all right now and read them from the beginning. You will LOVE them!

Not So Wrong (Love Grows Book 2) by Renee Regent. I loved the first book in this series so I was super excited to read this book. It did not let me down. It’s an amazing story about Spencer Colebank who works for his family business and is a billionaire. He’s also has ghosts in his past he’s trying to run from. Melanie Parker is an amazing singer who is beautiful, strong, independent and is about to give up on her dream of being a famous singer because her family needs her. The only thing in common Spencer and Melanie have in common is music and he’s trying to convince her to stay in Atlanta because of the song they wrote together might actually become a record. As they work together they become more and more attracted to each other and sparks fly. Will their song make Melanie a star and will she and Spencer have more than a song between them. Read Not So Wrong to find out!

Discovery (The Orphan Train Saga Book 1) by Sherry A. Burton. This is an amazing book. I loved every page and I can’t wait for the next book. This is the story of Cindy Moore who is using her summer break from being a third grade teacher to go thru her Grandmother’s storage unit to clear up her estate. What she expects to find is a bunch ofmemories and things her Grandmother held onto but are mostly useless. What she finds is an amazing story. Little did Cindy and her mom know, her Grandmother was abandoned by her mother and sent to an orphanage to live. Her Grandmother was also one of the famed Orphans on the Orphan Trains. Why did her Grandmother not tell anyone about this huge part of her life? Why did she hold onto such a huge secret? The Orphan Trains are a historical event that I’ve heard of but didn’t know much about. Now I want to know all I can. I can’t wait for the next installment into the Orphan Train Saga! Part Fiction and a lot true history this book is full of amazing information that is sure to keep you on the edge of your seat!

Surviving Wrath (The Deadliest Sin Series Book 3) by Gwyn McNamee. This is the 3rd book in this series and to say they are amazing is an understatement. Do not try to read this as a standalone because you won’t understand. I truly loved this series and this book is no exception. Its so fast paced that once you start you can’t put it down. Its still about Konstandin & Rea being in hiding from the Mafia. They are still trying to escape with their lives from those that want revenge. This book is a quick, take your breath away story and I don’t want to say too much to give away the story. Just read it, you won’t be disappointed. You will understand without a doubt that Wrath is the deadliest sin!
