Decisions Matter (Buddy the Blue Corgi Series) by Suzanna Lynn. This installment in the Buddy the blue corgi series we find that Buddy is settling in nicely with his new family. The only problem Buddy can find is someone has been getting into the families garbage and he is getting blamed for it. Buddy decides to stay up all night to catch the bandit. He doesn’t find him the first night and the second night he gets caught in a mess and looks even more guilty. When he finally catches the bandit, Buddy has to convince him that it is only right to tell the truth and as for forgiveness. These books are so good and they each have a wonderful life lesson in them. I love the fact that each book has a Bible verse on the back page. Teaching kids that doing the right thing is so important especially in today’s world. This book is perfect for all your little ones!

The Secret Aftermath (The Discoveries of Julia Xero Series) by Gloria Oliver. This is another wonderful Sci Fi, Fantasy, Thriller that picks up right after Jake’s death and the fallout from that. She realizes that she is still a threat to many and that they will do whatever they need to do to get rid of her. The threats are so dangerous now that its even putting her friends and family in danger. As she learns more and more about her background the more dangerous she becomes to others. There is also a slow burn romance in the background to keep you flipping the pages. This book has you flipping pages so fast you can barely keep up. Julia is a great character and I love getting to know more about her in each book. I can’t wait to read this next one. I highly recommend reading the first book because this book picks up right after that one. Such a good young adult fantasy!

Good Things Take Time (Buddy the Blue Corgi Series) by Suzanna Lynn. This is such a sweet series for kids. Its a story of Buddy the Corgi and how he came to be adopted. He is terrified no one will want him and all his brothers and sisters will be picked and he will be left alone. Buddy is the only Blue Corgi out of the bunch and that worries him too, he’s different. Buddy is adopted and he goes to live with 2 cat siblings and a whole family that is crazy about him. Buddy is the sweetest and this series is as well. Its a great series for elementary kids and younger and it would be especially good for any child that is adopted or feels different from others. These books have great pictures and there is always a Christian element that I love. It also teaches kids that everything is not going to happen this instant, that some things take time! Such a great read for kids. I’m buying this whole series for my new Grandbaby to have when he gets older!

You Are Special (Buddy the Blue Corgi Series) by Suzanna Lynn. This is a wonderful children’s book that explains that its ok to be different from others. Its the story of Buddy, the little Blue Corgi who realizes he doesn’t look like his mom or his friends when he looks in the mirror. His mom explains that everyone is different and that’s ok. This is such a good book for young kids to realize that they don’t have to look like everyone else, whether they are short, tall, big, little it doesn’t matter, what matters is what’s on the inside. I also love that the last page of the book has a scripture that reinforces the story of the book. Love this sweet book!

Corpse Pixie by Sinister Styx. For this book to be only 82 pages it was a fast paced, thrilling ride. Each page was packed with dark romance, mystery, drama, the supernatural and magic. Its the story of Rene who can’t move past the death of his sister. He turns to drugs and alcohol to cover the pain and continues to visit each and every murder scene to investigate. He is determined to find the murderer. One evening at a murder scene he feels the presence of another being and that presence follows him home. Belladonna senses in Rene a person of deep feeling and thinks he can help her avenge his people. Rene is not so sure of this. Belladonna is also determined to make Rene her own and she will stop at nothing to do that. Filled with unknown things and mystery everywhere this book will keep you flipping the pages until you are finished! Can’t wait to read the next book by this author!
Midnight Falls by John Evans. This is a super dark vampire thriller that will keep you turning pages late in the night. I do admit I got a little scared reading this at night and I loved it! Its the story of Josh who has chosen to move to Midnight Falls and he got a job as a freelance writer for the local newspaper. He becomes quick friends with his neighbors Joey and Brad as they are new to Midnight Falls as well. Josh starts to settle in even finds himself a girlfriend, Lizzie. The only problem he really has is the sheriffs son, Jarrod who wanted to buy Josh’s car and Josh told him no. He doesn’t seem to take kindly to being told no and the Sheriff even threatens Josh. Josh also has his faithful companion Nimrod his dog and Nimrod has saved Josh more than once. I really enjoyed this book. It was scary at times but also had a great storyline! This was my first read by this author but it won’t be my last!

Murder In Prospect (An Eve Sawyer Mystery) by Jan Suen. I love this series and I love Eve Sawyer. She is so confident and truly believes that she can solve any crime. While on Spring Break in Prospect her friend Bob is dealing with the death of his Uncle Will who he’s been told it was natural causes. Bob doesn’t believe it was natural causes so of course Eve has to investigate. As Eve investigates she doesn’t believe it was natural causes either and she stirs up all kinds of trouble. While Eve continues to investigate another murder takes place so Eve is for sure Bob’s Uncle didn’t die of natural causes because they are all connected. These books are so fun and don’t have to be read in order. I always recommend reading them in order to get a better feel for the characters and story. Let’s hope Eve can solve this mystery before more people end up dead.

The Places We Call Home: A Picture Book to remind us that home is where all love begins. By Kim Ann. This is such a wonderful children’s book and I’m getting a copy for my new Grandson! Its a book that has beautiful pictures and tells us that no matter where you live if there is love it can be classified as home. We all live differently but the result is the same. You can live in the city or the country and its still a home. Even animals live in different places and they are still called homes. Such a fun children’s read!

Where’s Gramma? by Tricia Gardella. I loved this book. The story and pictures were so great. I’m about to be a Gramma for the first time any day now so this story hit home! I can only hope to be the kind of Gramma these lucky boys have. Its the story of 4 brothers who are always excited to see their Gramma. She is always down for any adventure and by any, I mean any! In this story the boys are looking for Gramma and they don’t know where she could be. Is she up a tree, swimming or looking at a snake? She could be anywhere because Gramma is not scared of anything and is always up for adventure! I recommend this sweet book for all the Gramma’s out there and anyone with grandkids! Andrew’s Armor by Jill Monaco. This is such a cute book and my 6 year old nephew loved it. Its the story of a young boy named Andrew who has a toy chest full of fun stuff and his favorite is his “armor” which is a helmet, shield and sword. When he has these things on he feels like he can do anything and everything with any problems whatsoever! One day when he has his “armor” on he gets hurt and he no longer believes in the magic of his “armor”. This brings about the bible part of the story. It teaches kids that they have to believe with faith that they will be protected and God will protect them. I absolutely loved this book and the fact that it had a religious touch made it even more special! Go get this book for all the young children in your life. You will be so glad you did!
RELEASE (REWIND Series) by Rowan Shaw . This is the end of this series with a set of stories that gives us a update on all the characters from the previous books in the series. I do recommend reading the others previously to get a better understanding of the characters. There is also a warning about the subject of suicide in this story. Its set 4 years in the future from the other books so its a sort of catch up on everyone. Adrien was the most heart wrenching of all. He has grown and I was thankful he had a great support system with Raphael and his sister Celeste. There are some truly heart wrenching scenes in this book and I would recommend reading the trigger warnings before reading. Its a very emotional read and I wasn’t sure going in I was going to be happy with this being the ending but I really enjoyed it and loved getting to see how everyone was doing!
Forever to Fall (Buckeye Falls Book 5) by Libby Kay. This is such a sweet, romantic series. Each book in this series focuses on a couple in the Buckeye community. This is Mallory and Beckett’s story and its so good. Mallory is helping her brother Evan with his upcoming wedding and its leaving her feeling a little like a spinster. Evan is Mallory’s brother and along with Beckett they were inseparable growing up. Beckett and Mallory always had a attraction to each other but because he was Evan’s sister, Beckett felt she was off limits. El Diablo (Jessica Watts Southwest Suspense Series) by Kathryn Dodson. This is just like the first book, you better sit down and hold on! I highly recommend reading these books in order to better understand the story and characters! Jessica is trying to settle down and have a “normal” life she marries her best friend and becomes a paralegal. The more normal her life is the more bored she gets. When a friends daughter tells her about a pastor that may be doing inappropriate things she decides she can’t sit still anymore. This sleazy Pastor is also a client of her boss and he’s going to the high school to prey on these young girls in a Christian group. Jessica jumps right back into her investigating days and throws herself and her family in all kinds of danger. This story will keep you flipping pages until you are finished and its full of danger, mystery, suspense and a psychological nut! I can’t wait to read the next book in this series. Its been one of my favorites all year!

When her mom passes away she has to return to Pismo to sell the house and get her 14 year old sister Alexis. Claire has no intention to stay in Pismo so when she takes Alexis to the Orthodontist she has no intention of being even remotely interested in the Dr. David the orthodontist is still getting over a very bad relationship so he is not interested in the slightest in dating anyone but something about Claire just won’t leave him. They soon decide to go on a date and find out they truly like each other. David knows Claire is leaving so he can’t get hurt right? Claire is no way going to stay in Pismo Beach right? Offsides (Game Time Series) by Tam DeRudder Jackson. I’m really enjoying this Game Time Series and I was so excited that Chessly and Finn are getting a chance to tell their story. Chessly only wants to work with athletes not date them so when she sees all these jersey girls chasing all these players she is not into it at all. That is until she meets Finn the defensive lineman, he’s handsome, funny and just seems like a all around good guy. The only thing she dislikes about him are all the Jersey chasers surrounding him constantly. He’s determined to make Chessly his but she’s a independent, hard headed, strong willed woman. When it seems Finn has really screwed up she is done and by done I mean 100% done. Finn is going to do whatever it takes to make her realize she’s the only girl for him. This can be read as a standalone but I always enjoy series better when they are read in order to better understand the story and characters!

G is for Gossamer: A Children’s SMART & SOPHISTICATED ABC’s Book by Miss Whitaker. First of all this is a beautiful book and its not just another ABC book. Its beautifully written and the illustrations are some of the prettiest I’ve seen. Its such a wonderful book for young children to learn their letters and words. It even has a glossary in the back for the words you don’t know. My 6 year old nephew really enjoyed this book! It would make a wonderful book for a baby shower, a birthday gift or for any child in your life. When your child can actually use a new word they learned from this book it all makes perfect sense! Such a great new take on your ABC’s. Pick this up for all the kids in your life and even the teachers as it would be perfect for classrooms!

Porter and Midge: Paws and Pastries A Kid’s Guide to Homeade Dog Treats (Porter & Midge Children’s Book Series). I love this series and I’ve shared them all with my 6 year old nephew and he loves them as well. He has a dog so this book was especially relatable to him. Porter is a Mastiff and Midge is a Greater Swiss Mountain dog and their owners are C J and Lora. C J and Lora are finding ways to make treats for Porter & Midge. This book includes several recipes for different treats for their dogs. There are cute pictures and the story is fairly short so that it will keep your young ones attention span. These are such wonderful books for your young ones library.

Shadowed Storm: A Shadow Defense Security Thriller Book 4 (Shadow Defense Security Series) by Mavery Ellscott. This is the 4th book in the Shadow Defense Security Thriller Series and its just as good if not better than the previous 3. I love this series and while they can probably be read as standalone’s I highly recommend reading them in order to pick up on all the hidden gems you would miss reading them as singles. Its the continuing story of Alexis who finds out her former research professor is trying to release a strain of algae that would wipe out the world thru our water. When the bad guys find out Alexis is trying to stop him they are trying to stop Alexis and they will do it anyway they can. Which means Alexis is in serious danger. Seb is the security assigned to Alexis and he has got his work cut out for him. Alexis is more worried about Seb and his friends and wanting to keep them safe that she makes it harder for Seb. There is great chemistry between Seb and Alexis and you won’t want to stop flipping pages to see what happens!
The Crown of Stones Trilogy Box Set (The Crown of Stones Series) by C. L. Schneider. I have loved all these books in this amazing dark Fantasy trilogy. One of my favorite books is The Crown of Stones Magic-Price by C. L. Schneider. This is the story of Ian who is a Shinree, a Magic user whose race has an addiction to using magic. While trying to stop a war Ian used his magic to end a war and by mistake killed lots of fellow soliders and the woman he loved. He is on a mission to save the Rella Empire because he was sworn to do it. As he sets out on the journey he meets lots of people who are not his friends but pretend to be so he has to sort thru them all. He’s also having to deal with a magic addiction and get it under control before it consumes him. This is a great adventure with lots of magic, sorcery, drama, action and intrigue. Once you pick this up you will not want to put it down. Do yourself a favor and start reading it today! The second book is just as good The Crown of Stones: Magic-Scars (Book 2) by C. L. Schneider . This is the second book in the Crown of Stones series and while it is not my favorite genre I have gotten sucked into this world and I want to read more and more. This is the continuing story of Ian Troy who has been captured by his old enemy King Draken of Langor. Ian has been sentenced to prison and while there he has been tortured, drugged, robbed of his will, his memories and his magic and made to do unspeakable things. As he awakens from the drug induced stupor he realizes this world is not familiar to him and that world is terrified. King Draken has taken control of the Crown of Stones and tore it up. Ian must find a way to repair the damage he has done. While Ian struggles to come to terms with the new man he is he finds his link to the Crown of Stones and uncovers all kinds of secrets. To save the Crown he must learn to deal with his magical powers without using the destructive appetite it creates. Will Ian succeed? I highly recommend reading the 1st book before. This book continues with the amazing story of magic, betrayal and mystery. Once you pick it up you won’t want to put it down! Do yourself a favor and read this trilogy today!
