Well little Miss Goldilocks story has come a long way. In this story she has grown from breaking things to fixing things. Such a cute and fun story. I love how this author once again has impressed the readers with the new events. Her story is not only fast, but clear and easy for our children to follow. So much fun to read and get the children’s feedback. I wonder what will be next.

Twisted Oath, by A.S. Roberts, is the first book of the series Bound by Blood and my first experience with the author. This darker style of romance had me drawn in from the very beginning. I really felt like all the story element boxes for a good, suspenseful and interesting read were checked off. The characters and plot were so brilliantly fleshed out. Serafina and Salvatore brought an intense but believable amount of chemistry and emotion to the storyline that made this very difficult to put down. If you love the mafia romance genre, this one is absolutely worth checking out. I am excited to see what comes next!

I devoured this book late into the wee hours of the morning. I could not put it down. This is the story of Kimber and The Watcher.
Kimber has been through the gambit suffering at the hand of Castus. He is now dead and she is dealing with her suffering. Her family has always treated Kimber like the weak girl needing to be protected by everything around her. Her visions are still rendering her incapable of withstanding their pain. In this book, Kimber meets the Watcher and this changes her life forever.
So much tension filled pages as the group of our old favourite characters join together to battle the hellspawn and other magical beings. If you enjoyed the past books, you gobble this one up as well. I loved this one the most.

Pyper is well-liked, and would do anything to help. She is happy to live her life, as a daughter, sister, friend, and confidante. Her latest idea: cancel the prom. When Pyper who thinks she has all the answers suddenly begins to question her own advice, she concedes that she may have to give in to rolling with the punches. Sage Advice is a fast-paced, well-written and fun! I enjoyed Pyper’s story from beginning to end, and I highly recommend this book.

I enjoyed the different fonts for words to focus on- like hot, cooled, fly, delicious etc.- made the book look more interesting and fun. I thought it was interesting baby bear is feminine- I guess in my mind, I always pictured baby as a boy.
The physics concepts integrated in the story (titled, flat, dripped, all) provided a nice twist to the story, and would interest even slightly older children as they replicated pitcher pouring or making something level like the table. Even as an adult, I giggled at the fulcrum/seesaw towards the end of the book!

Laurent and Phoebe havent seen each other in nearly 20 years when Phoebe broke Laurent’s heart. They were college best friends and now havent spoken in two decades until Phoebe comes back into Laurent’s life asking him to make good on a deal they made back in the day. Seeing Phoebe again is a whirlwind for Laurent and this quickly turned into such a captivating romance for me. I usually do not like second chance romances but this was done well. Their chemistry was clear and i adored the way Laurent quickly fell back into protecting and caring for her. Phoebe clearly changed a lot since they were kids and it was nice to see her as such a successful business woman and i also enjoyed the side story of the relationship with her sister. I did not like how back and forth she was with her feelings at times but that gave this story the edge it needed to keep me guessing how these two would end up. I really enjoyed this and all the characters were great. If this is a series i definitely will read more from it. If you want a quick, easy yet steamy second chance romance that wont leave you hating one of the MC than this is the read for you.

This was a great read…..this is Book 2 in this series and this is my first book reading from this author. I will definitely be circling back and adding Book 1 to my TBR and already looking forward to what this author has in store next!
The story gave me all the feels that I love about sports romance….second chances, friendship, banter, secrets and sizzle. I loved the characters in this book and I was definitely rooting for Christy and Ryan.
When Christy is faced with a new member of the club she works as a pool manager..she finds she is faced with none other than Ryan, her high school sweetheart that left her broken a few years ago. Ryan never stopped loving Christy….looking for a second chance to reconnect. Will Christy’s secret tear them apart again more than ever?
I definitely would recommend this read and find out!! Great story.

I love how this book has a different take on the original Goldilocks and the Three Bears. The Goldilocks in this story not only goes through the motions but notices certain things that need to be fixed. I like how the author incorporates different aspects of how Goldilocks figures out how to make a few new changes to what is broken and make it better than it was before. The illustrations are very well done as well.

This is sweet moving story aimed at young adults. It is about 2 young girls who are similar ages but live worlds apart. Neyah lives in Kenya. Her life is hard and she is forced to give up her education to fetch water for her family. Abby’s life is the complete opposite. From someone like Neyah Abbey has it all. She has a nice home, time to socialise and more importantly an education which is what Neyah would love. However Abby’s life isn’t as perfect as it seems and as the girls exchange letters we get an insight into the challenges and heartbreak that Abby faces, as well as the challenges that Neyah faces. Together they work together to problem solve the issues surrounding Neyah. But can two 12-year olds make a difference at all?
This is a beautiful story about friendship that grows between 2 people who would be unlikely to become friends normally. By exchanging their stories and learning about each others lives they both learn an appreciation for their own lives even though sometimes things are hard. They also inspire each other to problem solve and try to find a solution to make things better. The author does an amazing job especially of bringing Neyah’s life into reality for readers who would never normally get a chance to experience it.

This book is a rendition of “Goldilocks and the Three Bears”. It goes through all the other aspects that the original book had with the sequence of events, but with a little bit of a twist. When Goldilocks enters the house she starts to use science to help with cooling porridge, fixing a table, and putting a chair together that she broke. When the bears come home they are not angry at all, they are impressed that she fixed so many things. The last thing she does is help put a flag up the pole. Children will learn about pulley systems, wedges, levers, etc. This was a cute rendition and children will learn something in the process. The only thing I would change is the illustrations, I thought they were a little too simple.

This was my first book I’ve read by this author. She did a great job. I would say this book is more for middle school age kids. Fetching Dreams was a fast paced book. The details was well thought out. It was a page turner for me.

This very talented creative author brings her storylines to life so wonderfully and vividly that you become totally immersed in every detail just as if you are there in person. I have to say I was completely hooked from start to finish. Kit and Holly, with her pink and green hair (I love that little element so much I just had to mention it LOL) are absolutely fantastic characters that will weave their way into your heart and stay with you long after you finished the last page.

This is the first book in the Southwest Suspense novels series, and I look forward to reading the next one.
I really felt for the character of Jessica, she’s had it rough and is just trying to survive/cope as best she can. I was emotionally invested in her from the beginning and there were moments I wanted to scream at her and get her to stop or reconsider because I cared for her. A well-written character in my opinion.
The author created an action-packed story with twists and betrayal which I did not want to put down. The descriptions of the settings/scenery made me feel as if I had been there while it was happening, and the characters felt real.
I really enjoyed this book, and I can’t wait for the next one.

Twisted Oath is the first book in the series Bound By Blood . Holy Cow this Dark Romance is packed with drama, revenge, family drama and suspense plus so much more. I’ve read several books by this author and this one is by far my favorite yet. I found myself turning the pages as I had to know what was going to happen next. This is an emotional rollercoaster ride at times that had my heart breaking in some parts. The characters are developed yet raw and as real as they come. They made the story come to life and had me turning the pages till the end. This is Serafina and Salvatore’s story . These two have great chemistry between them and the story flows so smoothly. Get ready to be taken on quite the emotional journey with these two. I don’t want to give anything away by accident but I will say if you enjoy Mafia Romance then I recommend reading this book to find out what happens. I can’t wait for more from this Author.

The first chapter had me hooked. The reader is immediately drawn into the suspense of Jessica and her job. There’s just the right amount of romantic heat in the story. Tequila Midnight is a suspenseful women’s fiction novel with plenty of danger, grit, suspense, and plenty of tequila! This is an excellent start in the series. I look forward to more from this author.
Is there ever enough Tequila in the world? I think not. Tequila Midnight is the gripping and exciting first book in the Jessica Watts Southwest Suspense Novels by Kathryn Dodson. I must say I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and look forward to reading more from this author. It is a crime story with cleverly woven threads to keep you invested. The pace is just right, with enough darkness, lots of danger, high on drama, plenty of suspense and palpable tension to keep you on the edge of your seat and glued to the pages. The fast-paced engrossing storylines have mystery and grit. It feels believable and yet sometimes disturbing. There are betrayals, grudges, questionable behaviour and redemption. It is full of violence, alcohol, dangerous thugs and thrilling twists and turns that kept me guessing all the way through. The characters are complex and well developed enough to be interesting and likeable or dislikeable. Journey along as Jessica follows a twisted trail right into the hands of the shady, dark and dangerous underworld where she finds she will be lucky to remain alive. But that is not all she is running from. If you like a riveting tale, take a chance you won’t be disappointed. Enjoy!
Wow! Just wow. Twisted Oath was a wild ride. One I didn’t want to get off of. Being it’s book 1 of a new series though it gives me something to look forward to! The author created a world that I just want to get lost in. This book in particular focuses on two characters where lines get blurred. But the way the author navigated those blurred lines despite intentions worked wonderfully. Twisted Oath is Salvatore and Serafina’s story. One born out of revenge for Salvatore, he intends on making Serafina’s father pay for what happened to his mother. What better way than to claim her as his. But what happens when it’s not just revenge anymore? Serafina is drawn to Salvatore, which could very well be her downfall. Despite the sorted history she refuses to give up. Broken into 2 parts this book has a lot going on. Part 1 is a lot of growing up and letting go. While Part 2 is growing together. Nothing is ever easy, and when you’re an important member of the Italian underworld it makes things a little harder. Constantly risking your life as well as others. However when someone comes for you and yours, that’s never taken lightly. Salvatore is an amazing character that’s born out of anger. But the growth and acceptance throughout this story shows even those types of characters can be redeemed. This author has me intrigued and looking forward to future books in this series. As well as other potential books they may have been written outside the series.

I knew there would be intense moments but holy cow there were so much more than I expected them to be.
Serafina and Salvatore have a very interesting journey starting when they were kids. Lots of pain and suffering by both and their families but I don’t think anything else could have happened differently without changing the entire story.
I am already in love with this group of people and I’m so looking forward to seeing everyone’s stories and how they all play out.

Tequila Midnight is the first book in the Jessica Watts Southwest Suspense series and debut novel by Kathryn Dodson. It is an intriguing crime and investigation story with mystery, suspense, danger, resentment, damaged/flawed characters, action, adventure, and more. Jessica Watts gets a bit more than she bargained for when she goes on the hunt for a missing girl. Dangers, twists, and tension make this a fast-paced and intriguing read. I will definitely be keeping me eye out for the rest of this series, as well as anything else Ms. Dodson produces. Happy Reading!

Love is what it is and some people can’t describe it. Sometimes it happens quickly, Sometimes it doesn’t happen at all. Toni and Clive are seeing eachother / sleeping together and Clive mentions, they should go away for a bit. So they end up getting on a plane and taking a trip. What could better than a relaxing flight, a vacation with lots of sex, sun, sand and the ocean? Except all they did was fight from the time they got to the airport and it just got worse when they checked in to the hotel. Toni ends up leaving while he’s still asleep And booking a room at a much nicer hotel. As she’s about to check in, she locks eyes with a beautiful man and they are both attracted to eachother immediately. Mickey ends up stepping in when Clive shows up harassing Toni then introduces himself and they get to talking. They have a steamy, fun, romantic 2 week holiday while she’s there. All good things must come to an end though. Especially when there’s an ex wife who just won’t leave Mickey alone. This book had me interested from the very beginning. It was fairly short but there was no boring pages filled with useless info added in. The book flowed and was captivating. Loved it.

Twisted Oath is a Mafia Romance, with an enemies to lovers relationship. Salvatore and Serafina, even their names roll off the younger, and go well together. The first half of the book was mostly background and how they got to where they are today and then the story proceeds from there. There are some definite triggers in Twisted Oath that you should look out for before you begin reading. It doesn’t get spicy until after about 50% but there is some next level spice after that. Overall I really enjoyed this book and really enjoyed watching/reading about Salvatore and Serafina, how they work through their problems, and grow as individuals and as a couple.

Broken is Book Two in the Green St. Girls Series. After reading the first book I immediately dove into reading this one. I became heavily invested in the Green Street Girls and was anxious to read more about them. This story centers around a character by the name of Indigo who is part of the Green Street Girls. She has worked hard to give herself a good life but all of that is threatened when she starts receiving threats for a software she is developing. Her friend, and roommate, Gideon, steps up to help Indigo and protect her from whoever has been threatening her. In doing so, he realizes that his feelings for her are stronger than just friendship. Although Indigo has allowed her wall to come down enough to form a friendship with Gideon can she truly trust him? This book was beautifully written with a storyline and characters that I became heavily invested in. Indigo is strong, smart, and ambitious but because of her past has developed trust issues. Gideon is sweet, kind, and a good friend to Indigo. He wants to love her, protect her, and be there for her. Gideon does his best to prove to Indigo that she can trust him, but will he be able to penetrate the wall she has formed to protect herself? A great read full of drama, intrigue, danger, friendships, angst, love, romance, and hope. I highly recommend!
