My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Is there ever enough Tequila in the world? I think not.
Tequila Midnight is the gripping and exciting first book in the Jessica Watts Southwest Suspense Novels by Kathryn Dodson. I must say I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and look forward to reading more from this author.
It is a crime story with cleverly woven threads to keep you invested. The pace is just right, with enough darkness, lots of danger, high on drama, plenty of suspense and palpable tension to keep you on the edge of your seat and glued to the pages.
The fast-paced engrossing storylines have mystery and grit. It feels believable and yet sometimes disturbing. There are betrayals, grudges, questionable behaviour and redemption. It is full of violence, alcohol, dangerous thugs and thrilling twists and turns that kept me guessing all the way through.
The characters are complex and well developed enough to be interesting and likeable or dislikeable.
Journey along as Jessica follows a twisted trail right into the hands of the shady, dark and dangerous underworld where she finds she will be lucky to remain alive. But that is not all she is running from.
If you like a riveting tale, take a chance you won’t be disappointed. Enjoy!
