Fallen Soul is the fourth book in the War of Destiny Series and is a Paranormal/Fantasy with Vampires. I truly enjoyed reading this book just as much as the previous three books. I do recommend reading this series in order as each book builds off the last making for an epic series. This series has taken us on quite the ride and this one will have you turning the pages trying to figure out what is going to happen next. Get ready to go on quite the adventure with Lane. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I don’t want to spoil anything for you. I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

This is such a great version of the story of Chicken Little. We all know the story of Chicken Little where he thinks the sky is falling and panics. However, in this version Chicken Little gets hit in the head and uses his brains and his knowledge of science. When Chicken Little gets hit in the head he does several experiments and the scientific process to discover what it is that hit him in the head. I truly loved this retelling of the story and know that it would be a great addition to any child’s book collection or classroom library!

I admit the original chicken little story, although entertaining, was never one of my favourites as a child but I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this (never mind the kids). I liked how a well-known story was adapted to make learning more accessible to children by bringing science into the mix. As is expected, in typical Chicken Little style, the sky is falling! The great thing in this version is how they investigate what’s happening and why.
It’s short and sweet, perfect for kids to be able to follow without getting bored. If the story alone isn’t enough, the illustrations were bright and lovely too.
This is one I’ve recommended to my mum, a primary school teacher, and would recommend to parents too.
An enjoyable and engaging read with an intriguing storyline which kept my attention throughout. Due to the title I thought this was going to be more of a sci-fi story, however the extra-terrestrial elements come through the main characters job. June, who also occasionally goes by Chloe has a top secret job, which involves missions along with friend and confidante Sarge. Closer to home and June is married to Joe who is incapacitated following an accident, and has teenage daughters, Livy and Cora. When not working June cares for her comatose husband, along with health care aide Barb. The descriptive narrative really brings both the setting and unique characters to life, making me feel immersed in the story. June is a great main character who seems to have a lot on her plate. I was a bit confused by her relationship with Sarge, as their chemistry which came across in the narrative was more of lovers maybe than friends. Overall this was an entertaining read, and one which I would recommend.

A very different read from anything before that ties in a forbidden romance, a winding mystery as to why, and paranormal to tie it altogether. It does jump around quite a bit to begin but once you realize it, it’s an easy read. Good character development with both main and supporting characters as this book comes alive.

This is the 2nd book I’ve read by this author and the 2nd Buckeye Falls book I’ve read. I thought book 1 deserved to be a Hallmark movie and I think book 3 should be as well. I loved reading the story and I would love to watch them come to life on TV. Falling for you is such a sweet love story. I absolutely love the friendship that Cece & Even have. I love how they have this connection between them even before they make things official. I see how age can sometimes be an issue. I like how Even decides to show how manly he is even though he’s younger but ends up throwing a little tantrum. It’s such a guy thing to do. Lol It made me giggle because I know guys who’ve acted like this and I pictured the whole thing. I loved being able to “see” the characters reappear from book 1 in book 2. Even though the stories are connected you could read them as stand alone. Overall great story, great characters, I really enjoyed it all.

A sci-fi story about love, strength, and dedication. June cares for her husband after a tragic accident, while raising her daughters Liv and Cora, and working in an intense career field. Her coworker, Sarg cares for the family with extravagant gestures. The characters have a strong connection and are very relatable. The story is fast paced, well-written, and engaging.

This book was much deeper and more emotional than I expected it would be when I first started reading it. I really found myself connecting with the characters and engaging with the overall storyline. This is the first book that I have read by this author and I thought it was a great introduction. The story touches on things that feel like “real” problems which added a depth to the story I didn’t anticipate. I was routing for the characters the whole way through and wanted them to find their way. This was a great book that I thoroughly enjoyed and I can’t wait to read more from this author in the future.
This was another fun and exciting read that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Book three in the series did not disappoint. The growth in Harry in this final book was immense through his need to escape and hope to get total those he loves. As always, the humorous interactions between Tristian and Harry and now Elena will instantly make you smile. The ending honestly made me want more but it ended with great revelation.
What Loretta’s Katydid Did is a fun children’s book about a young girl who receives an orange tree from her Grandmother. Loretta realizes her tree is in trouble from the aphids on it but does not want to kill them. When Loretta finds a Katydid on the tree a whole new adventure starts. This book is fun and encourages young people to learn via reading. The plot is fun and encouraging and the illustrations were cute and simple. This book would make a wonderful addition to your children’s book collection.

His Forever Muse, the second book I the Echo Series is a page- turning romance full of twists and turns that kept me hooked, from beginning to end. Brandon Rossi and Calliope Chen-Bisset have been friends since childhood. As they grew up their lives took different paths; with ups and downs along the way. When they run into each other as adults, they pick up their friendship, as if time stood still. I enjoyed following Brandon and Callie’s journey; from their friendship, to romance, through trials and tribulations-I did not want their story to end! I’m looking forward to more in this series.

I thought this was a very well written YA fantasy.
The premise of the story, is a spoiled princess wants a one of a kind dress for her coming out party. The kingdom is facing some hard times, but she is oblivious. She quickly realizes the gravity of what is going on, and does what she can to help her kingdom.
A coming of age story in a fantasy backdrop. Loved it!

I loved how this book was woven from the first of the Echo Series (Echoing Hearts). This story was a bit of a mystery as well.
Callie and Brandon grew up together and haven’t seen each other in years. By chance they run into each other at a resort in Africa and reconnect. Brandon had been in love with Callie when she went off to college and completely cut him out of her life. She is currently dealing with a lot in her life and tried to build up walls again, but Brandon can’t help but tear them down each time.
This is a story of perserverance, love and found family.

This is a very unique Sci fi adventure. This author’s writing I have always enjoyed because you feel completely submerged in the story and all the characters involved. This is such a interesting read. The sci-fi element comes from the assignments that “June” and “Sarge” have to undertake. All of their missions are top secret and involved Aliens and ufos. However this story is such more than that. We first meet June and her husband Joe. They meet and fall in love, with their 2 daughters you expect them to have a happy life until an accident changed that. Joe is now in a comatose state and June is his carer. With her daughters they are trying to bring Joe back to them but it isn’t easy. You can feel June devotion to Joe and the fact that she still has so much love for him. Then there is her relationship with Sarge. It is a very deep connected friendship/relationship. You can tell Sarge adores her and she feels the same about him. He helps her out in anyway he can. Their relationship confused me a little as there were times it felt like more than just a friendship but with everything June has to deal with and her Husbands current state I could understand her turning to someone for support and comfort. There is no denying the love and commitment June has for her husband and her kids and also her complete devotion to her work and Sarge.. This is a great fast paced story that you won’t be able to put down because you will need to find out what happens next.

Intriguing sci-fi fantasy This was a very different book than I usually read. I found myself pulled into the storyline and wanting to know more. The writing did get a bit wordy and there is a lot of dialogue. The main protagonist’s dual name (June/Chloe) had me confused at first, but it soon straightens out as the story gets going. Overall an enjoyable read with mystery, extra terrestrials, family bonding and adventure that will keep the reader engaged until the end.

Picture story book This book would make a great addition to any 4-8 year olds collection. It has some great illustrations (especially the cover) and has a scientific mystery that will get imaginations racing. This is part of the Loretta’s Insects series and is as much educational as it is fun. Recommend.

This is book two in the Made in Heaven series. I loved this as much as the first book. Similar to the first book our 3 characters first meet in dreams as children. The FMC keeps people out of her life after she looses her mom in an accident but she can’t keep her men out, no matter how hard she tries. Luckily her guys don’t take the push back laying down and soon push past her fears for an hea full of steam!

Classic What a cute reimagining of a brilliant classic tale. This has the same characters as the original but with some clever twists. There’s humour, fun and some learning to be found amongst the pages. I can see this quickly becoming a favourite and would be a great addition to any home or school library.

This book left me in all my feelings. It addresses some tough topics but does it with grace. The main characters are pretty much searching their souls to have a more fulfilled life. They haven’t talked to each other in the last 15 years. Obviously a lot can happen in 15 years and this is their journey to see if they can find the love that they both desperately need. The book will get you feeling everything the characters feel. I highly suggest that you get a box of Kleenex’s and a good comfy soft blanket. I wasn’t sure what to expect when I sat down to read this book, but the journey it took me on was one of the best that I have been on in a while. There are the hurdles that the main characters have to overcome to be together. This only helps to heighten the love story that is between them. This is the second book in the series and it does mention the characters from the first which is a great little tad-bit that I fully enjoy. I highly recommend reading this series and even though the characters are mentioned from the first book, it isn’t necessary to read the first one to understand what is going on in this one. That being said, I would highly recommend reading the first one because this series is just that good. Reviewed by: @bbohls

A fantastic second book in the series. I don’t normally read paranormal romance but it did drag me into the story. I’d say it’s more character focused than plot. Overall a good romance.

Once inside she feels eyes upon her not in a creepy way but a sexual chemistry kind of way until she is introduced to not but two good looking men, once on the dance floor she is covered with warm and trust with these two men and ask it becomes more intense she realises what she is doing and runs away in embarrassment.
Jaxson and Oliver are part of the “Club Kings” four brothers who forged a family from trust and courage not blood, but when they see the blonde walk in the club they are instantly drawn to her. As they have shared in the past this is nothing different but they have a deep feeling of protection for this beautiful woman, until she gets scared and runs from them. Week’s of trying to find her comes to nothing until one chance meeting may change there and the other brother’s lives forever.
They know she is hiding a secret but will they uncover it and can Brooklyn trust her attraction for all four of the men and will she let her guard down enough to live life.
This is the first book I have read but this author and oh my what a read. I always love a flawed character and this book had lots of them, the four men together have forged a bond of survival which plays into each character and shows each are loyal to the end for each other and there charges which was brilliant to read. I especially loved the character of Brooklyn with her visible and hidden scars which seemed to make her more determined to carry on with life even at times she struggled with anxiety but not letting it become her was a brilliant lesson to learn.
There are triggers in this book and if you are uncomfortable with aspects of mental abuse and stalking I may caution you alittle bit with the storyline, but overall the writing was brilliant it draws you into the story and makes you believe you are part of the world and invested in the characters as this is book 1 I can’t wait to get my teeth into the next instalment.

Return to Hoodoo is Book #1 in the Boudin, Bourbon, and Barbecue series by Reggi Dupree. It is a fun paranormal mystery with murder, magic, mayhem, banter, antics, friendship, family, colourful quirky characters, action, adventure, the supernatural, curses, thrills, drama, vampires, werewolves, ghosts, witches, demons, gods, curses, crime and investigation, and even a touch of romance. This is the first book that I have read by Reggi Dupree, so I really didn’t know what to expect from her story. But I thought the premise sounded like fun, and I really love paranormal mysteries, so I snaveled a copy and set off to explore. Since reading this, I have discovered that there is a prequel novella that is set before this book, and I really wish I’d known that before I started on this book, as I think knowing what happens there might have made my experience of this instalment even better. I felt that I wanted more backstory and character information etc here, and all those answers might be found in Hoodoo Heaven. So I will definitely be going back to read that to see if I’m right. What a zany, crazy, fun story- with just the right amount of intrigue to keep me flipping the pages. The characters really make this story, it really wouldn’t be the same without them. They are a quirky bunch, adding an extra element of interest to the book. Looking forward to seeing where we go from here. Bring on the next instalment- “Conjure Ink” (Book #2- due to release soon). The Traveler: Book Three is the third instalment in The Traveler series by Deborah Dugan. As with the previous books, it is a complex thought-provoking sci-fi fantasy with time travel, adventure, action, time and space/reality travels, energy manipulation, danger, drama, high stakes, risks, intrigue, tension, plenty of originality & imagination, humour, and deeper themes that makes this another highly creative read. As we discovered at the beginning of this adventure (Book #1)- The Traveler is an ancient ‘being’ who has travelled the universe and has taken on various forms over millennia, then using these ‘experiences’ as a means to gaining knowledge and power. This book explores time, reality, energy manipulation, dimensions, and much more. The Traveler finds himself in danger, and so the tension mounts as I followed along to find out how it all played out in the end. Colour me intrigued! As this is the third book in the series which follows The Traveler on their journey, and continues the ‘adventures’ we started back in book one, I highly recommend reading the previous books before starting on this one, as they will help ground you in the story, as well as provide interesting and important details that will help enhance your overall reading experience of this book, and series as a whole. Again, I felt this book was more emotional and impactful than the previous books- the series definitely seems to be getting better and better with each new instalment. There are even more threads, more attention to detail, depth, and development here than the first two- and even though I really enjoyed the first two books, this one is better still. Another unique, interesting, and thought-provoking read. I wonder what Ms. Dugan, and Harry, have in store for us next? Happy reading!

Frozen by Lies by Martha Sweeney is a fun adventure that incorporates loved and familiar holiday traditions. The Klaus and Frost lines are now many generations in; living in villages that aren’t far from each other physically but are worlds different. Some long forgotten issue has made rivals of these groups. Nikolaus is the first Klaus to enter into Frore in a very long time but fate introduces him to Noelle. Thus beings their love story and either the redemption or destruction of Frore. This is an entertaining new type of holiday tale and I’m so excited to start the next book!

I love grumpy x sunshine and I ESPECIALLY love it when a guy has golden retriever energy!! They make the cutest couple and I was rooting for them the whole time. This was a nice short enjoyable read. This is book 2 in the series but they can be read as standalone, which I appreciate. I would recommend this book if you want to feel the warm fuzzies.

Made in Heaven series book 2. This book is almost as good as the first one. You do NOT need to read these books in order as the characters are totally different and not connected in anyway from book to book. This book has cousins, Cameron and Reed and their dream girl (literally) Joselyn. But will their love remain only in the dream realm or will they ever find each other? The biggest thing in this story is that Cameron is psychic, How or will this affect their future together? I recommend this book, it is full for hot steamy scenes, just a disclaimer though it is MMF and it is HOT.

Super sweet, clean romance about getting over your ex and finding the one you were always meant to be with. Every character is realistic and relatable. Not everything is as it seems in the idyllic town of Buckeye Falls but the people are true and loyal.
After a traumatic experience, CeCe has moved on in her life and found a spot where she fits and where she can find happiness. And, she is really doing it. CeCe has a job she adores. True friends she never expected. Then there is the soon-to-be-possible romance with Evan. Everything is going good and it appears like she has finally moved on until a new food truck competition is announced. The judge being the one person she never wants to see again.

I laughed. I awwed. I enjoyed. I yelled at Evan. I cheered when Eric went down. He deserved what he got and sooooooo much more. This was my first stop in Buckeye Falls. It was pleasant and I had a great time. The next time I am in the mood for a sweet and clean romcom, I know where to visit.

From the moment their eyes they see each other something changes and I think it’s for the better.
Brooklyn has her professional life in order, she is in charge for a large non profit. Her personal life is not nearly as in order. She has one close friend and a closet full of secrets.
The guys are Oliver, Jaxon, Gideon & Aiden the Knight Bothers who have built themselves into something impressive. They started with nothing but one another as kids, bow as adults they still have one another and so much more.
The sparks fly from the pages as you’re reading this book starting in Chapter One and the heat only continues to rise from there.
I already have the next book on my TBR and will be reading it as soon as possible.

I loved CeCe and Evan’s story. We knew from book one that he was a good guy, but could also understand her reluctance after her previous relationship which we find more details out in this book.
CeCe does so much healing and growing through this story though her insecurities show their face every now and again.
Evan was full of surprises, who would have thought he could do so much and how awesome are his sisters?
I’m so ready for more of the Buckeye Falls crew. Never seems to be a dull moment in this small town.
