This is a cute, quick read. I read this to my grandkids before bed(ages 8,7, and 3). They laughed, chuckled and even helped me read it. We loved the illustrations and the rhyming. It took us 5 minutes or so to read this and the youngest asked me to read it again. Tricia Gardella has done a fantastic job on this once again. Definitely love reading her books to my grandkids. Seems she pulls from personal experiences with her own grandchildren.

Wild King is the second book in the King Brothers Series and is New Adult Romance that will have you turning the pages till the end. This is a Enemies to Lover’s/Billionaire Romance. Kellan is a Bad Boy and he has earned the title fairly. What started out being a three day weekend uninterrupted turns into so much more. Salem should have high tailed for the hills but she allowed herself to be seduced by the bad boy. She thought she was safe not sharing her name but man oh man foes gate have something else in mind. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I’m ready for more from this Author.

Lady Claire of Chevlain is a young woman who harbours a secret, a curse which impacts heavily on her life and as such, she has struggled to mind a match, however, she does have plenty of options for an arranged marriage. Unfortunately for Claire, her curse is the ability to see the future of those who come into direct contact with her, but the following fatigue and the visions themselves leave her exhausted, especially when they are not the positive kind and so she keeps this ability under wraps.
Trian is a member of the Royal Guard and is very good at his job, but he also harbours a secret, it is Claire, from the first time he met her, he fell hard, even if she has no idea, but he embraces any chance he gets to spend with her. He is also the younger son of a popular family and so needs to pursue his marriage match, especially when it is made clear he has a time limit to convince her to marry him before someone else is arranged for him.
One day, Claire is travelling across the Kingdom to her home of Chevlain and Trian is elated when he is chosen to accompany her as her personal guard and this is where their friendship begins. As they spend more time together, they learn a lot, both factual and familial and the more time that they spend together, the closer they become, especially when Claire discovers that her visions are quiet when he is around and this is a godsend.
Unfortunately for the two, just as they are falling further for each other, their group is attacked and Trian is badly injured, the motive for the attack becomes clear when Claire is kidnapped and taken to the rival land of Nifolhad. As she is kept captive, the only people she can rely on are the women of the Fenhri Temple as they hold information and teachings that Claire is supremely interested in, as well as thoughts of Trian. Will she be able to escape the court intrigue and dangers which surround her in this opposing court to her own, or will she escape and return to her homeland and hopefully her love waiting for her? This is an epic fantasy with a romantic undertone where emotions run high, intrigue abounds and life is complicated as you follow the lives of those within this fantastical tale.

Notebook Mysteries ~Art of Deception is a Historical Crime that will pull you in from the beginning and doesn’t let go till you’ve finished. This series just keeps getting better and better with each new addition and this one may be my favorite yet. I got cozy on the couch and pretty much read this in on sitting. I had to know what was going to happen next. Emma and Jeremy are back at it again but this time they are faced with new family jobs and uncover an investigation. These two are my absolute favorite characters I’m always thrilled to see what they are up to. This story is packed with action, mystery, suspense and so much more. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I’m already looking forward to the next book by this author.

This is a great book and my first read from this author. I did not want to put this book down and was totally drawn to the characters of Reaper and Avi. Can I say, I LOVE a strong willed, kick butt female character and Avi was it! Reaper had my heart…a hero in my eyes and loving the challenge of a strong woman. When two people meet with different pasts…one looking for a better life and thinking family was everything and the other getting over physical wounds and also a bit of a broken heart, this leads to a great, fast paced story with plenty of drama, danger, greed with sacrifice, the true meaning of family and plenty of love.
I loved this story of Reaper and Avi…and looking forward to reading more from this talented author.

I have read the other 2 books in this series and I was simply unable to put them down, so I knew before I started this 3rd book it would probably happen again! and yep it did because this was yet another extremely well written and creative storyline. Neferet, Bener-ib, and friends are at it again! I know I have said this about this authors writing multiple times before but this story truly comes to life in your minds eye as you read it, thanks to such vivid descriptions, that truly make you feel like you are really there. Wildfire Knockout: The Predator Series Novella By Brooke May
What can I say about another great instalment in the Predator series, I am really enjoying each book Brooke writes, I am also giving this book a 5-star rating. This instalment is about Scott and Beth. I love how their characters have grown through their own story. Beth has told KC past secrets but then there are also some that she has held on to. Beth’s life went from bad to worse when her mother left the family, leaving her with an abusive father who had plans for her that no parent should ever have for their child. Beth decided that she needed to make plans to get her out of the life that she has now. Luckily for Beth she had a lovely neighbour who wanted to take her in but they both knew that that plan would never work, so her neighbour lied and said she was her grandmother so she could change her name. This is how Beth came about and how she came to be in Denver. While in Denver she met KC in the supermarket when KC went into labour, since that day they have been like sisters. After Chamberlain came back into KC’s life to make her happy, he moved Beth to Boston to live with them. Chamberlain helps Beth get into the boxing scene under the Predator group. Unfortunately for Beth Scott becomes her trainer, Beth has never taken to Scott and dislikes the thought of being around him all the time. Fast forwarding to now for Beth, she is in her first season in the featherweight division. She is also taking the featherweight division by storm, currently Beth is going so well she is undefeated, that is until the day her father finds her when she is out having a run. Beth is taken hostage by her father and two other men that is with him causing her to lose her first fight. Before being taken by her father she meets up with her mum after she has been absent from Beths life for years. Beth also notices that her feelings for Scott have changed and as much as she would like to let him into her life, she knows she can’t. How can he begin to love her when she is so broken?

The Rebirth: Part One is Book #1 in the Planet Amazon series by Crystal Dawn. It is a sci-fi romance with plenty of action, adventure, danger, agendas, high stakes, intrigue, mystery, and more. While also being a bit of a journey of discovery/self-discovery. There is a fate, predestined feel to the adventure/romance- soul mates finally finding each other. The story has a bit of a Stargate Atlantis x Zena Warrior Princess vibe. The author has given her own spin on the whole Atlantis and Amazonian mythology. The world-building was intriguing, and this story should have ticked all the boxes for me as it is a genre I normally love. But unfortunately, I just couldn’t connect with the story or the characters, and therefore I was unable to fully invest in the characters or the outcome of the story. I will put this aside to read again before continuing on with the series- as maybe I was just having an ‘off ‘reading day with this book. So, stay tuned… Happy Reading…

I always jump at any stories this author has because I know I will really enjoy them and this one was no exception. This is a MM Romance. It is a second chance small town romance with danger and Suspense inside. It is definately a page turner. Elijah has moved with his son after problems in his past. Now he’s starting again and isn’t planning on a relationship or romance until he meets his neighbour Jude. Jude is struggling with coming to terms with his past after losing his husband. So far he has his work and the bottle keeping him going but that all changes when he meets Elijah and his son. But things aren’t going to be plain sailing and when something from Elijah’s past returns threatening his and his sons safety, Jude is going to use all his skills and training to protect the new man in his life.
Art of Deception is the seventh book in the Notebook Mysteries series by Kimberly Mullins. This is an intriguing historical mystery with challenges, crime and investigation, agendas, danger, action, drama, family, friendship, treasure, fun, and adventure. The ‘mystery’ of the story is based on a ‘real-life’ scam called The Priest Scam/Man of the Cloth- which the author explains at the back of the book. I found this to be quite fascinating and it gave the whole story an extra element of interest for me. I have been really enjoying this series and look forward to each new addition. The series goes from strength to strength, with each new addition bringing something ‘new’ to keep me engrossed. Again, Ms. Mullins grabbed my attention right from the outset, pulling me in and keeping me immersed in all the adventure as I followed along to find out how everything would play out in the end. As I have mentioned before, the books in the series could be read as standalones, if you really wanted, without feeling like you are missing anything major. But having said that, I highly recommend reading the previous books before starting on this one, as I feel that knowing what happened previously will give you a greater appreciation of the stories, characters, and other important details- which will then enhance your reading experience of this book. This book makes a magnificent second installment of the Heart & Hand Series! The first book in the series was wonderful and yet somehow, the author surpassed themselves with this continuation. It is the perfect fantasy romance with Lady Claire and Trian as our main characters. Lady Claire is such a strong, intelligent female lead that goes through multiple trials and tribulations as she develops into someone I admire! Trian has inevitably fallen in the deepest love with her, but will he be able to break through the walls she has put up? I highly recommend picking up the first book in the series before starting this one. If you love the fantasy romance genre, this is right up your alley! I am beyond excited to pick up the next book in the series. Don’t pass this one up!

This is the second book in the King Brothers series and it is absolutely amazing! Kellen and Salem are incredible characters. It is very apparent that the author spent an extraordinary amount of time developing them as they felt like people I knew in real life instead of just people on a page. The chemistry between them leaps off the pages as you learn everything about them on this emotional rollercoaster. There are many twists and turns in this contemporary romance which makes it impossible to put down! I highly recommend picking up the first book in the series not only to ensure you aren’t lost, but also to experience the story the way it was meant to be. If you enjoy emotional romances with alpha male feels, please don’t pass this up! I can’t wait to see what this author has in store for us next.

Poor Shank! Shank is a Jack’s dog, and he scratched, and they assumed he had a flea. After all his friends came up with remedies, poor Shank had had enough! This is an adorable book for ages 3-8. The illustrations are remarkable!

This is Claire’s story and you find yourself on the edge of your seat rallying for her. This has a slow burn romance with magic, action and suspense. Web of Evil (Hani’s Daughter Mysteries) by N.L. Holmes. This is the second book in the Hani’s Daughter Mysteries and even though this isn’t my favorite genre, I’m loving this series. They are so good and very hard to put down once you start them. It’s the continuing story of Neferet and her friends and this time they are trying to solve the mystery of the body that was washed up on the river bank. As Neferet and her girlfriends set out to solve this mystery they encounter all kinds of shady characters and are putting themselves in harms way while they are doing it. This is set in Ancient Egypt and the writing is so well done I actually felt like I was there. There is mystery, intrigue, crime, murder, secrets and lies. Get ready to sit on the edge of your seat as you read this great murder mystery. Its one of those books that will keep you thinking about it long after you are finished!
Read the previous book in series, Wild Lavender, and was taken aback by all the fantasy, adventure and romance intertwined that I wanted to continue to read the next story in the series. This story focuses on another set of characters, Trian and Claire. Claire hides a part of herself and swears to never give her heart away. Trian is able to go beyond her limits and start an amicable relationship. He ends up being a mentor to Claire in the healing arts as the feelings draw them closer to one another. Unfortunately dealing with Trian has led Claire in dire straits and she is taken away to Nifolhad. She must now build her own defenses and strength to make it back home and to Trian. I loved getting to know the other characters and their background stories as well as how their journey spans out. I also loved learning about this world in which the characters live in and set up for what can be the next book in series.

Allow yourself to get swept up in this great read!! It’s obvious that a lot of time and attention to detail have gone into writing this epic fantasy read. There is a play on words in the title, even though it’s not to a depth that I would have thought. There is mystery, intrigue, lore, and of course, romance to keep you captivated from the first to last words!
This is the second book in a series. This can be read as a standalone but I highly recommend going back and reading the first book as well!

This is the second book of the Heart & Hand series. Although it is set shortly after the first book, it could technically be read as a stand alone. The first book was about Lady Anna and Lark’s love story. This time around, it’s focused on Anna’s sister Claire and her love interest Trian. There is mention of things that had previously happened so it would be easier if you read the books in order but is not necessary.
Claire has the gift of foresight. She thinks it’s a curse since she can’t control when a vision happens. She keeps it locked up tightly. After the loss of her home and parents, Claire decides to put her heart on lockdown. Vowing to never fall in love in fear of losing another loved one.
Trian is assigned to escort Lady Claire and as time goes on they start bonding. Claire teaches Trian about different plants and their uses while Trian teaches Claire how to adapt and survive no matter where she is.
One day, Claire is kidnapped and she has to take all of the lessons taught to make her way back home. She presumed that Trian is dead so she no longer cares about how she looks and starts using her gift to her advantage with the help of women who have similar powers. She will do anything to get home to her sister.
I loved Anna in the first book and I love her sister just as much. They are so similar yet so different. Claire is strong, witty, cunning, intelligent and beautiful. Trian is brave, strong, shy, and caring. I like how the author wrote their relationship slowly developing instead of “boom! We are in love” like a lot of romances tend to do. I feel like this book was a lot more action filled compared to the first and I loved it.

This talented creative author has done it again with a great storyline and wonderful characters that draw you in right from the start and have you totally on their side. This book brings us the story of Scott and Beth who we met in previous books so while we kn0w a little about them this book brings their lives into focus and we understand so much more about them especially Beth who has so much more to her than you would first think from the other books. I liked her in the first two books but definitely needed more which I got here. Scott and Beth have a strong connection and he is very determined to be hers and work out her secrets so he can help her. I loved that about him. Definitely read the first two books of the series as it will help you fully understand things better.

Once again the mystical world of Aurelia came vividly to life in this epic, sizzling slow burn fantasy romance. The descriptive narrative brings both the characters and setting to life making me feel immersed in the story. The epic storyline and exciting plot twists had me gripped throughout. Whilst the slow burn romance between Claire and Trian kept me happily turning the pages. I look forward to book three!

This is book one in The Casket Girls series. I can’t wait to get into book two! This one had me turning page after page to find out what happened next. I really liked Greer’s character. Despite waking up and finding out she was kidnapped, just to be sold off as some strange man’s wife, she never gives up. I loved the paranormal and enemies to lovers aspect. This book really kept my attention. I highly recommend this book. You won’t regret it.

Another exciting and fast paced romantic suspense novel in this series. This time it’s private detective James Moore who comes to the aid of a damsel in distress. Tessa Lopez’s bakery is the most popular in London, but she’s worried as she has a stalker. When she starts to receive threatening letters and photographs, and with the police not helping, she decides to hire a private investigator. Tessa and James have an instant undeniable chemistry which only grows as they work together to find her stalker. However, James has a rule that he doesn’t date clients and so fights his attraction for Tessa. The pair find themselves in danger when it’s clear the stalker wants Tessa for himself. I love a forbidden love story and this one had me hooked. Tessa and James chemistry sizzled off the page. The suspense built chapter by chapter and the plot twists kept me guessing. An enjoyable and engaging read.

This is an okay story. It is slow moving and at times I struggled to stay interested. I like the idea of the story. Her taking over a resort and him being a diver was cool and at times (especially the dives) exciting. I enjoyed their relationship but sometimes it was almost too slow. Her attitude did not match her character periodically. I did not care for how she acted towards him when something highly stressful happened to him that was not his fault. He needed the care and kindness of a friend.
Anyway as stated before for me this is an okay story. In my opinion there is a good plot and interesting characters just a miss in putting them all together

I really have mixed feelings about this one. I felt from the beginning I was dropped into the middle of a story. It was almost like the story is being told backwards then forwards then flashbacks are added. It really was confusing. I figured we would get her rising star story but she is already a star when we start and on tour with Franks. They have already “been together” so its just about him breaking her walls down so she will trust him enough to “be” with him. I did not really feel a connection between the two MC other than manager/client. Maybe due in part to the disjointed storyline.
I have read this author before and this is not my first book in this series. I find that some of hers I really like and others not so much. This one falls in the latter category. I was excited to read about a female MMA type story but this one fell flat for me.

This loved this book so much; I am always fascinated by books that can weave in real life history into a book that really makes it feel like it was alive. The development to this story really made me feel like I was right there along for the ride. This book was filled with so much from time traveling, history, mystery, sci-fi, fantasy and a little romance rolled all into one. The twists and turns into this story really had e from the beginning. The story was incredible with a friendship over 200 years, Simon and Gaelan, trying to help he’s wife things turned for the worse and now Simon can’t seem to follow were he’s wife went. The ending was more surprising, it seems that it left opening for the second book, which I can’t not wait to dive into. I would highly recommend.
