Married Blind (King of Screen Book 2) by Morgana Bevan – Review by Trista Priest

Married Blind: A Marriage of Convenience Hollywood Romance (Kings of Screen, 2)Married Blind: A Marriage of Convenience Hollywood Romance by Morgana Bevan
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the first book by this author I’ve read and it can be read as a standalone. Like the tv show Married at First Sight, Abi and Finn meet for the first time at the altar. The dynamics between these two is well written and entertaining. Would recommend to anyone that enjoys the forced proximity trope.

Underboss's Retaliation (Sicilian Gods Book 2)Underboss’s Retaliation by Via Mari

Via came back even better with this second book of the Sicilian Gods series. She does an excellent job developing her story and characters. Definitely recommend reading the first book in the series before jumping into this one and then be ready for lots of drama and steam.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Love that in this next story we get Arabella’s story. There were twists in the first book and Halley gives us even more surprises in this second book. Once again she did an amazing job and left me wanting more. Can’t wait to see what she has in store in Rose’s story.

Secrets Never DieSecrets Never Die by Laurie L.C. Lewis
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This wasn’t a fast read for me, but it was a GREAT read. The author did a great job giving a little more of the characters personality throughout the entire story. So many times I thought I knew what was going on and she hit me with another piece of the puzzle I didn’t see coming. Highly recommend this book.

Return to Gallanvaig (A Quirk of Destiny Book 2) by Catherine Greenall – Review by Trista Priest

Return to Gallanvaig: Beyond A Quirk of DestinyReturn to Gallanvaig: Beyond A Quirk of Destiny by Catherine Greenall
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the second book in The Quirk of Destiny series and while this book takes place a few years after the first book ends, the books need to be read in order. It isn’t a fast read by any means, but it is a page-turner. The author did a great job with this book it is full of action and is on the sci-fi side of dystopian. I look forward to reading the final part of this series.

This book presents a very different take on dystopian books than the ones I have read in the past. I struggled to get through the first few chapters because it was scientific and slow to start. However, the book picks up fairly quickly and is action-packed, full of twists and turns.
I look forward to reading the rest of the series.

What a fun, steamy, and wonderful read. I really enjoyed this book. The author put a little something for everyone in this one, and I believe that book lovers of all genres would enjoy it. Kamana Wanalaya was the first book to read that Susan has written, but will not be my last.

I Love You Today (The Trading Heartbeats Trilogy Book 2)I Love You Today by Julie Navickas
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

So I was rooting for Josh and Mavis to work out in the first book, but it is hard to not feel bad for Austin and him having his heart broken. I enjoyed reading Austin and Casey and their relationship developing during this book. The author did a great job again in this second book with character development. I enjoyed this second book a little more and look forward to the next book.

Umm, what a whirlwind. First, I would not want to be in Mavis or Josh’s position. I understand why she made the decision she did when she left, but I absolutely sympathize with Josh and not getting an explanation. I love second-chance romances and loved that Josh was willing to fight for him and Mavis. The book was well-written and her characters were well developed. Overall I enjoyed reading it.
