Rise by Via Mari is the second book in the Larussio Legacy series. This is a series that I think should be read in order as it follows the same characters throughout. What can I say except this is another amazing book book from a brilliant author. This has spanned over a few different series and each book just gets better and better. Every time I start one of these books I am drawn in instantly. After reading book one I absolutely could not wait to get my hands on book two. It was exciting and had me hooked! I love these characters completely. They are so strong and really carry this whole book forward. This is another fantastic book and I cannot wait for the next one.

I have fallen so deeply for Gio and Serena. Their story so far is full of so many moving parts and it’s not over yet. I just don’t know how Serena is still holding it together because her adventures in these books have totally worn me out. It must be love LOL
The action and suspense is nonstop and I felt like I was right there during all of it. That’s just how this author writes, she reels you in and then doesn’t let go even after you have read the last word, especially knowing there is more to come.
I had some questions after the 1st book and the ones that mattered were answered for me in this one. I love how so many characters we have met as far back as the first series are still weaving in and out as well as meeting some new characters along the way.
This was a perfect addition to this series and you might want to have a fan handy while reading.
As usual I can not wait for the next and if you have not read any of these books yet, look them up and go all the way to the start of all of these stories..I promise you will not be sorry!

I loved reading the story Rise (The Larussio Legacy Book 2) by Via Mari. It is a book that pulled me in from the beginning and didn’t let me go until the final page. I loved reading about the characters of Giovanni Larussio and Serena Moretti. There is a passion and intense chemistry between them. He is part of the most powerful crime family in Italy. Her family has suffered at the hands of the Larussio family. They can’t stay away from each other. Will Giovanni be able to keep Serena safe from his enemies? Will her family ever forgive Giovanni for the past? Will their love survive? Read this book to find out. This is a story that has danger, suspense, and romance. There are twists and turns that I didn’t see coming. It is a book that kept me on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next. I love the character of Serena as she is a strong and intelligent woman. Giovanni loves Serena and would do anything to keep her safe and protected. The story does have some very steamy moments that make the temperature in the room rise. My emotions were going up and down the entire time I was reading this book. I highly recommend reading this exciting and entertaining story.

The characters made the story feel realistic and brought the heat and steam to the story. If you haven’t met Jay and his team, you will want to for sure! They bring twists and turns that left me turning pages fast. This is the second book in this series and I highly suggest reading the first book before this one to help get the full effect of this story and characters. I was pulled into the story from the start and lost total track of time until I hit the last page. I highly recommend this book and this author.

In fact, you can still find her curled up in an overstuffed chair when the wood fire is crackling and popping, reading a page-turning novel until the early hours of the morning, especially during the harsh winters of the Midwestern United States, or engrossed in a book as she travels from place to place researching for her own novels or attending conferences.
Via’s inspiration to publish stemmed from research as she began writing love scenes for her own novels. It became apparent there seemed to be a cultural divide between what people believed was normal or vanilla sexual behavior and that which people considered BDSM, and she felt compelled enough to write about the differences, similarities, and extreme feelings and levels of trust individuals in dominant and submissive relationships must have, and the desires that are at the heart of these relationships.
