Raising Elle (Sweet Valley Series Book 1)

I’m in love with this book, these characters and knowing there will more books coming so I can visit my friends. I found myself reading when I should have been working, sleeping and cooking and would lose myself in the story

Elle is a remarkable and strong woman which everyone but she sees. She finds her way home after way too long, she felt like a stranger at first but then remembers the joys of living in the small town she grew up in and is able to renew old friendships and even develop new ones.

She rebuilds her life and several other things after several years of neglect and it’s inspiring. Her story isn’t an unfamiliar one, but it can never be told too much.

As important as Blake is to the story I feel like I need to focus on Elle. She definitely deserves the spotlight. Looking forward to catching up with her soon.

Where Fire Meets Flame (Yours From The Ashes #1)

This is great book to read if you have a quiet afternoon on a weekend. Not very long, but it has enough happen to grab you and keep you reading and doesn’t skimp on details. I have read a few others by Ms. Kincaid and she hasn’t let me down.

Riley and Tristan go through a lot more than you would expect in the short time they know once another after meeting by chance after a wrong turn. And they keep finding themselves running into each other over the months in various ways.

Very entertaining book that pack a lot into a fairly short story. Looking forward to reading more in this series once released.

Unexpected Entanglement (The Echo Series Book 3)

I’m having a hard time coming up with the words to adequately describe my feelings on this book aside from I loved it.

Rowan and Chris worked so well together and the sparks between them flew almost instantly and it only got hotter as they spent more time together.

Once again there is some suspense with all of the weird stuff happening, some laugh out loud moments especially when Alex was around and then there were some incredibly hot moments like the massage…..

I have been so impressed with this series and this author and I look forward to one clicking as soon as I see her name.

Right in Front of You: Volume One: Brinley & Adrian (Morris Valley Gang Book 1)

I am already in love with this group of characters and can’t wait for each and everyone to find their happiness, especially one in particular.

Brinley and Adrian were a perfect match from the beginning. Both are easy going and take pleasure in the simple things in life.

Their friends are a crazy bunch, but if you can’t let loose with all of your childhood friends there isn’t anyone you can truly relax around.

There was a little bit of everything in this book. Of course romance, suspense and a crazy old lady who I want to be like when I get older.

I’m hoping it isn’t just the younger characters who find love, I could see Adrian’s dad finding his happily ever after at some point.

I’m really excited to keep up with this series. I hope the next book is released soon.

For someone who usually gets annoyed with the dark agnsty books I was surprised by how into this book I got. I read the Prequel and knew I had to read this one as soon as I could. I couldn’t put it down and was more than happy to finish it when home sick.

Riley and Cole have incredibly strong feelings towards one another even if they are conflicted. Cole refuses to listen to reason when it come to Riley, but at the same time has a hard time staying away from her.

Definitely looking forward to the second part of their Duet for so many reasons, especially the answers to all of my questions.

The Sweet Temptations Trilogy: A why choose Age Gap Romance (Sinful Delights)

I was surprised by how fast I was able to read the entire Trilogy. I had anticipated it taking more time. Some of it was due the length of each of the books, then there was also the fact that I found it hard to put down.

There isn’t the character development you would see in normal length books but that didn’t take away from the books and the steam.

Richard has experiences that a lot men have at the very least fantasized about and a some have experienced. He made some mistakes that lead to more problems for him.

I would definitely try reading this if you have a quiet weekend at home with no pressing commitments so you don’t have to put the books down.

Just One Time: A Small Town Best Friends To Lovers Romance (Beaumont Creek Book 1)

I absolutely adored this book, Abby and Nate. They had the knowledge only best friends would have. While with some it might have been weird, it worked for them.

I personally couldn’t imagine starting a family in my 40’s but know plenty of women including several in my family that have had a later in life baby.

There were so many moments that made me laugh, a few that made me cry and a few that made me pump my fist in celebration.

I definitely recommend you give it a try, hope you like it as much as I did.

The Challenger: A Sports Romance Saga (The Hustlers Trilogy Book 2)

I’m so throughly impressed with Ms. Rossler’s writing. There are only two books listed in her catalog, but she writes like a seasoned pro who hasn’t lost her love for what she does. The depth she gives her characters is amazing.

We are getting Flynn’s story and there is no dull moments. From the moment they meet the heat is off the charts. I personally liked the pool scene after the tennis game and needed to put the book down for a minute.

Chavez is young with a temper that is triggered by almost nothing. He finally starts getting help and that is when his life changes.

I cannot wait to read June’s book and any other books in the future.

This is the second book in thus series I have read and as with the first I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see what was going to happen between the Chase guys and the evil they are up against.

Definitely be prepared to deal with a tough part of the story, it shook me up a bit while reading. I wasn’t expecting it at all.

Peter and Rowena hadn’t seen one another in seventeen years since they were active duty in Afghanistan. They have a lot to catch up on on top of saving lives and fighting a group of evil and greedy locals.

Definitely worth the time to read but brace yourself.

Braving Lily: An Opposites Attract Rock Star Romance (True Platinum Series Book 7)

My only regret about this book is that I have only read one other in this series. It isn’t necessary to read each one since they are complete stories with happy endings, but sunce the main characters are connected it’s my preference.

I liked the first one I read but this one grabbed me. There was just something special about Lily and Rhys that made me fall in love but can’t put my finger on it.

From the moment they met, you knew their story was going to be great but bumpy. Being involved with a famous musician must be difficult. There is no privacy and your entire life is under a microscope. Stories published even if they aren’t accurate and Lily wants to protect him from it.

Rhys is an incredibly smart and proud man, but even that didn’t keep him from stepping in it. And how precious was his niece Sienna?

I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

His Forever Muse (The Echo Series Book 2)

I had absolutely no doubt I was going to love this book as soon as I finished the first book. Brandon was a mystery to me and I wanted, no needed, the answers to my questions.

Callie has so much strength even if she didn’t realize it. She was able to escape a Mother who was never satisfied and constantly overbearing and start a life of her own in college and then in Paris.

There are so many things I enjoyed about this book, but I think Callie’s grandmother stole my heart. They way she talked about Brandon when he was on stage definitely had me laughing.

Love the long lost friend/ love story between Brandon and Callie and I’m looking forward to the next book. I may or may not have it on my calendar.

Taming Brooklyn (The Club Kings Series Book 1)

From the moment their eyes they see each other something changes and I think it’s for the better.

Brooklyn has her professional life in order, she is in charge for a large non profit. Her personal life is not nearly as in order. She has one close friend and a closet full of secrets.

The guys are Oliver, Jaxon, Gideon & Aiden the Knight Bothers who have built themselves into something impressive. They started with nothing but one another as kids, bow as adults they still have one another and so much more.

The sparks fly from the pages as you’re reading this book starting in Chapter One and the heat only continues to rise from there.

I already have the next book on my TBR and will be reading it as soon as possible.

Falling for You: A Buckeye Falls Novel

I loved CeCe and Evan’s story. We knew from book one that he was a good guy, but could also understand her reluctance after her previous relationship which we find more details out in this book.

CeCe does so much healing and growing through this story though her insecurities show their face every now and again.

Evan was full of surprises, who would have thought he could do so much and how awesome are his sisters?

I’m so ready for more of the Buckeye Falls crew. Never seems to be a dull moment in this small town.

Jocelyn, Cameron & Reed meet while young in their dreams, not knowing if the others were real or not. Several years later they learn the truth and they know without a doubt they are soul mates.

Jocelyn was such a young lady when they first met and she dealt with a devastating loss, but her boys were always there foe her, until they weren’t.

Cameron and Reed grew up together and are family, they were always close but neither expected to be as close as they end up being.

The small details in the book really help pull it all together and make it an enjoyable read. Will definitely look for more of this series.

Shadow: (Devil’s Handmaidens MC: Timber-Ghost, Montana Chapter)

I had to let this marinate in my head before trying to write this. The horrors that Zoey (Shadow) went through should have been more than she could survive but she did not give up. Now she does what she can save others and try to stop the sick monsters from doing it to others.

Panther is the type of man I dreamed of meeting when I was younger. Strong rugged man who gives Wind in His Hair vibes (yes I know I’m dating myself) and a strong desire to do everything he can for the woman he loves.

I have been impressed by this series and Ms. Earl, the two I have read by her have kept me wanting more as I turned the pages. Will be looking for more by her in the future.

Ale’s Fair in Love and War: An Enemies-to-Lovers Romance (Love on Tap Book 1)

If you’re looking for a book that will make you laugh and sigh then I would suggest you read this book.

Cash and Hollis start off in a hate filled but funny prank war, but things change rapidly after a misunderstanding leads to them spending time together.

The way their friendship started to bloom after they started to know one another and realize where those intense feelings were heading things got pretty hot.

There are little gems like Sausage Fest, the stuffed dog and the surprise package being delivered that made me laugh.

Cash’s brothers, sister and Mom just add that extra something for me. Ms. Stewart got the family dynamic perfect. Oh and how can I forget to mention Larry!

I look forward to keeping up with this family and see how they grow and change. My money is on Miller’s story being epic.

Oh my goodness, where do I start? If you read the Prequel (which I highly recommend) then you know the history. If you thought that was good wait until you read this book.

Some books take me some time to get really into, but not this time and not with any books by Ms. McNamee. She grabs me from word one and refuses to let go and I find myself thinking about her books days later.

I don’t even know where to start but there are some moments you will have to stop to pick your jaw up off the ground.

I’m so glad I have the Hawke Family back in my life and I’m counting the the time until the next book is released. You absolutely must read this book.

Shameless Love: A Small Town Opposites Attract Romance (The Bennetts of Langston Falls Book 2)

You can’t get much more opposite than Walt and Elyse, he is a true Southern gentleman and she is a city girl through and though but they work so well together.

All of the Bennett boys are great men, but Walt seems to be something incredibly special. He loves his family with his whole heart and then some. But when he and Elyse meet lightening strikes.

Elyse is only doing her job as a producer and she gets so much more than ever could have expected.

I really enjoyed every moment while reading this story. Ms. Fletcher is one of the authors I will read without looking at the synopsis and have not been let down.

Cry Baby: A Grump Sunshine Slow Burn Romantic Comedy (Pierce Brothers Book 4)

Crying is what I feel like doing knowing I have to say bye to the brothers. I have fallen a little in love with each of them for totally different reasons.

Noah was so hard for me to get any vibes on in the previous books but now I know why. It’s crazy how the brothers were all raised basically the same way but the loss of their Mom impacted them into their adult lives and Noah’s way was to retreat.

Amy is trust into Noah’s life when he desperately needed help. She was there to save the day amongst other things.

I loved seeing Noah progress and evolve throughout the book. He was finally able to move forward after so many years.

I have had the pleasure of reading several books by Ms. Williams and enjoyed every single one. Looking forward to reading more by her in the future. Maybe a spinoff from this series so we can catch up with the boys and their lives???

The way Christie and Reed meet is anything but ideal but at the same time trauma can help bring two people together.

What starts out as one of the worst nights of her life ends up turning into a completely different story for the two of them.

I think Reed is my favorite so far, could be the Texas thing but I think it is more than that. Another short but interesting story about this SEAL team and can’t wait to see who falls next.

I think I’m in love. Dean and Rae spoke to me, especially Rae. I felt every ounce of her pain as I read about her family and how her friends became the family she needed and deserved.

Where Rae’s young life was difficult, Dean’s was pretty ideal and reminded me of my husband’s family. Parents were present and an important part of the kids life. But he too has been hurt.

As much as I loved them I found myself quite frustrated with them for not just talking to one another about their feelings.

I’m so looking forward to reading the next book and getting caught up with everyone. Think this is a series I will make sure to keep up with.

Evan: A Steamy Billionaire Workplace Contemporary Romance (Billionaire Blind Dates Book 2)

It has been a while since I have finished a book as quickly as I finished this one since life has been so crazy for me but this is one I had to get finished to find out what was going to happen next.

Kayla’s restaurant business is taking off and things are going well, until they aren’t. Evan tries to be her knight when things get bad.

Evan like most of the guys is genuinely a good guy, but things are definitely trying for him. His first two dates are disasters and it makes him reluctant to go on the third understandably.

I really enjoyed reading this book and the series so far. I’m looking for to all of the remaining books, but none as much as Luke’s story there is something going on there and I can’t wait to find out what it is.

Riley is new to town, and accustomed to being the new girl. She has moved a lot through her life, though her Mom says this time is different.

Cole’s life should be ideal. Beachfront home, popular and one of the star football players and has everything, at least that is what you would expect.

I’m excited to see what this new author brings and I know if there as good as this the. I will not be disappointed.

I know this book was written as part of a series based on an actual signing event (which I was hoping to attend, but can’t) but I am so hopeful that this is the beginning of a Wretched Soulz series.

This is the only author of MC books I will read without question. There is just some about her writing that grabbed me and will not let me go.

Storyteller is quite an appropriate name for him. Though a nomad he keeps his brother entertained when he is around, but those stories don’t hold a candle to what happens to him in real life.

Just when I think she may run out of ideas or characters she gives another gem.

Another enjoyable but done too soon read about the hot and alpha SEALS.

Cutter is a good guy who wants to avoid getting burned again. He being a SEAL means he is willing to go further than the average man to protect his loved ones. He learned how far he would need to go.

Zarifah loves to dance, it has brought her so much happiness over the years, but it has also caused her pain but not the way you think.

A fast standalone that references the earlier books, but it doesn’t take long to figure out who is who. Looking forward to the next one.

Peyton is the absolute best person. She does everything possible to serve as a good example to the kids she works with and is just a genuine person. If she could only read people a little better.

Ryan is very judgey, but after finding out about his past it sort of make sense, though I think he went a little too far. Overall he is a pretty amazing guy and just as genuine as Peyton.

I think I have found a new series to follow and see which guy falls next.

Hit on You

The first chapter can make or break a book sometimes. If it’s amazing then get sucked in early and if it’s not good you struggle to continue and sometimes you don’t. This book definitely fell into the former. I started reading in bed one evening and next thing I knew I was almost a quarter of the way through the book.

I was able to connect to Luke a lot more than. I would have wanted. Her mother was good at putting herself first and her children were after thoughts on a good day and because of that Luke is determined to be the exact opposite and though it’s good in theory it has it’s draw backs.

Nikolai is a big sexy Russian and will do anything to protect what is his.

This book hit all the boxes for me and I look forward to reading more by this author.

I was surprised by how much happened in this book. Life in New Orleans would be interesting enough, but then Selma heads to Africa to help out with medical care and there isn’t a dull moment for her. Definitely kept my nose in the book to find out what happens.

Hunter and Selma have known each other for a long time. Started as co-workers and that grew to a very close and deep friendship and somewhere along the way it shifted again.

I really liked being able to relate age wise to both Hunter and Selma. Life is so different when you’re close to 50 than what it was at 25 and I’m sure falling in love with someone is even more different.

I think this is going to be a great series to keep up with and I’m looking forward to see what happens next.

This is not my go to sub genre but thought I would read it for a change of pace. I’m not at all sorry I did. I’m one who has a hard time focusing on anything else once a book has captured my attention, and this one got me. I found myself up reading way too late on a work night, but thankfully I was working from home so I could sleep a bit later.

Stella is a Goddess, she’s plus size and not ashamed and make no apologies for it. She has principles and sticks by them even if she’s hurting herself in the process. In this case it definitely was a win for her.

Charles is would a little too tight even during what is supposed to a month of debauchery with his best friends and any women they can find. Their plans quickly shifted and they have no idea how wonderful it will end up being.

I throughly enjoyed this and would definitely read this and other books by this author. Love finding unexpected gems.
