Quick, hot rock star romance This was a quick read for me and a great way to spend an afternoon. I enjoyed the writing, the characters were fleshed out, with dual POV and the romance spicy. Maria needs to do some soul searching and Oz is need of support. It’s a journey filled with humour, drama, romance and rock star goodness. Looking forward to reading more from this author. Recommend.

Maria and Oz were wonderful characters with loads of heart who drew me straight into the story and kept me turning page after page. Oz has been through a lot and has so many personal responsibilities that even though he knows his band has what it takes to be a big thing he is reluctant to move forward with it all because he needs his 3 paycheques to make ends meet. With Maria she is newly divorced with no where to go and nothing planned. They meet just before Marias sisters wedding and the attraction is instant but the big question is what would giving in mean for both their futures especially because they have more than just themselves to think about?. I truly loved this story and this very talented author definitely has a fan in me! In fact I went and pre ordered the next book in the series as soon as I finished reading this one LOL.

5 Star’s A Way Out (Rock Star Book 2) by Tami Lund
A Way Out is the second book in the Rock Star Series and is a Contemporary Romance that I absolutely loved reading. I read this entire book in one sitting because I had to know what was going to happen next. This story is packed with drama, chemistry, secrets and so much more. Oz and Maria come from two different backgrounds, she’s newly divorced and no plan or place to go so she heads to sister’s house in L.A. but when she arrives she finds a strange man there instead. Oz is house sitting for Holly and Sam as they are in Missouri preparing for their secret wedding. Maria and Oz have unbelievable chemistry. These are surely meant to be as they both deserve someone that makes them happy. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I will say this can be read as a standalone as I didn’t realize this was the second in this series till after I had already started. I’m definitely going to check out the other books in this series before reading the next one.

A Way Out is the second book in the Rock Star series by Tami Lund. It is a wonderful rockstar romance with plenty of chemistry, drama, angst, challenges, and emotion. I didn’t expect to like this story as much as I did, I thought it would be a good palate-cleanser between ‘meatier’ reads- but proved me wrong on that front and was ‘more’ than expected. Ms. Lund surprised me with an engrossing story that had more depth and development than I was anticipating- and has left me with a taste for more and made me want to explore more of Ms. Lund’s work. Lucky for me, she has quite an extensive catalogue of work for me to binge through. This is the second book in the series, but it can be read as a standalone without feeling lost, confused, or like you are ‘missing’ something. Having said that though- it has made me curious about what happened previously, so I will definitely be going back and reading the previous two books (prequel and Book #1), before continuing with the rest of the series. The series contains: -Before the Band (Prequel) – Sam and Holly’s story. -Why Can’t We Be (Book #1) – Lacey and Parker’s story. -A Way Out (Book #2) – Maria and Oz’s story. -A Little Too Soon (Book #3) – Travis and Ava’s story. -All Keyed Up (Book #4) – due for release in August. Oz finds himself in a predicament when the lady of the house’s sister shows up at the door unexpectedly. It’s in his nature to take care of those in need and she was clearly in need. They are both heading for a wedding in Louisiana and it’s a win-win for both of them. Maria doesn’t need to travel alone with a child and Oz doesn’t have to worry about his car breaking down along the way. When Maria says that she is willing to finance Oz and his band lines will become blurred. Now she is not only going to be a woman he is wildly attracted to, but she will now be his boss. What will happen? This was a fun story to read. The characters were likeable, but I will say that I couldn’t fathom not having a plan after asking for a divorce. Oz was amazing for taking on his sister’s children after such a tragedy. A Way Out is engaging and the second contemporary romance book in Tami’s Rock Star series. This is the first book I have read by this author, and I note she has many more under her belt that I look forward to reading. I am glad I picked up this book because I really enjoyed it. It is a quick, fun and spicy read. Nothing like a road trip to clear the mind and lose one’s heart. Way to complicate things by sleeping with your sexy and irresistible hot fledgling rock star. But Maria Hearsy Bernard has never done easy. It is full of wonderful characters some being hot rock stars. I mean who doesn’t love a rock star. Takes me back in time to when friends were in a band and trying to make it big. It is loaded with humour, angst and drama. Told in dual POV we get to see all of the characters and what is going on inside their heads. This book is fun with a great romance and hot, sexy times! But let’s not forget the one person who always has an agenda! If you want some light reading to take you away from life for a few hours, then A Way Out is a good way to do so.

Oz is a rocker friend of her sister and her fiancée. These two have some serious sparks. Can they overcome baggage and issues to make it work? Watching them work through and grow as a couple is delightful and to watch the two bands grow is fun. This was my first taste of this series and I’m hooked. I fell in love with the characters. Best part was seeing Maria get the courage and strength to stand up for herself and what was right for her. I love romances with strong female protagonist. Great story and a quick read.
