It was such a cute and funny story. Quick and enjoyable read! Another of Cupid’s helper is Seraphina, quick to anger and thrown into quite a challenge for her next assignment. A popular hockey play for all the wrong reasons. Seth does a much better job at finding trouble rather than finding love. Quite a comical journey to getting to where he is at to where he needs to be.

Reminds some of the essence behind a pair of a famous pair of star crossed lovers. In the midst of this feuding, there is a pair of strong heartstrings that are strongly connected but is Malayeka up to the challenge to bring them together?

Faida, another one of Cupid’s helpers, has got more of an icy exterior due to her past experiences of matching. On her new matching assignment, she is paired with Robert and his heartstring is strongest with that of his daughter. Being a single dad brings you closer to your children for sure! With this challenge that Faida faces, she must find a way to make sure Robert can find his love match before it’s too late. I highly suggest reading this series in order as tidbits here and there make more sense as you progress along with each book.

It’s been a while since I have enjoyed the goings on of the Brookes Cupid’s and was excited when I saw this new book out. These Cupids have all the right intensions but not everything goes to plan. You will fall in love with them and their quirky ways. Seraphina is the fourth book in the wonderful romantic comedy The Heartstrings Series. The books in this series are funny, fun, original and refreshing. This story that drew me in from the start and I found myself getting lost in the story. It’s easy to get lost in the story and you can’t help but fall in love with this quirky cupid. Laughing out loud with her antics as she tries to right her wrongs. Seraphina is not like the other cupids; she is fiery and sassy and is determined to help this hockey superstar who is full of himself find love. If it means she has to knock him over the head with whatever she has to get him off his high and mighty pedestal she will. Seth thinks he is all that but all that has gotten him in trouble on more than one occasion, not that he cares. Let the mayhem begin! Grab a drink and settle in for an entertaining afternoon read.

I absolutely adore the Cupid series. Seraphina had me chuckling. She’s a little grumpy because she’s stuck with Josh again. She’s tried twice to match him to no avail. Maybe the third time will be the charm. I found this story quite entertaining. You felt like you were right there, whether it was with Seraphina, Seth, or Marron. It’s humorous and serious at the same time. As a society, there is a fascination with celebrities. We want to see and imagine what it’s like to have what they have. I enjoyed this story because it fed that fascination. Seraphina brings together two people with their own sets of issues and it somehow all worked out fine after some guided adventures. It can be read as a standalone. I recommend the whole series. They are all wonderful.

This was a cute story! I liked the cupid angle and thought it was a little different. The plot did fit the genre and I did like Seth. I liked Seraphina’s spunk and thought she fit well with Seth’s personality. This was a quick read and I did enjoy it.

Tropic Heat (Flamingo Island Series) is a really fun read by C.A. King. It has the feel of a romcom with a funny, sweet, feel-good, and engaging story about a jilted groom, a nonrefundable honeymoon, his best friend, and holiday hijinks. This is a novella-length book that can be easily devoured in one fun sitting. It is a very entertaining story, and although it may be short in pages it delivers the ‘reading experience’ of a much longer novel. I have said this many times before and am likely to keep repeating it again many more times; I am a big fan of Ms. Kings work and have enjoyed all her stories immensely- so it was no great surprise that this book was a winning recipe for me as well. This definitely has all the ingredients you could want from an entertaining contemporary romantic comedy about love, loss, deception, con artists, cops, revelations, a touch of fate, finding that some things weren’t meant to be, and finding love unexpectedly. I have read many of C.A’s books and what I enjoy about her writing is that you never know what you will get because of her diverse ability to write in many different genres. Tropic Heat is short, sweet and a fun read that will have you laughing out loud at the goings on. I just wish that the stories were longer not that you miss out on anything good with less pages because C.A. knows her stuff. Sometimes you find love in the least expected place or person. Daniel may be heartbroken but this not honeymoon may be the best thing that has happened to him. With his best friend Joey in toe what could go wrong or right? Con artist, cops, turtles and to find out what they mean you will have to read it. Tropic Heat is a great book for a quick escape. So, grab a cocktail or two and feel as though you have stepped into the cruise of a lifetime or is it. There are many, many books still left to explore, and I look forward to getting through each and every one of them.

Well, I didn’t see that coming. Our jilted groom has a con woman for a bride. He meets a cop trying to break the ring. Throw in some hot, steamy romance that will have you feel like you are in the tropics. This was a fun read. I enjoyed the chemistry between our groom and cop. When they were reading the pickup lines, I about fell off my chair. I have had a few of those used on me. That was a treat to read. I felt bad for his besty having no luck and getting drunk with the turtle. But hey, the turtle is like a bartender. Lots of adventure, romance and fun. This a great weekend read if you’re looking for a quick read.

I was diagnosed with clinical depression after the loss of my mother, father and husband within three years of each other; all to cancer. 24/7 in-home care, coupled with the loss I felt, left its mark on my psyche.
Depression takes up a lot of my life. Reading and writing are the only things I have found that help (in connection with regular medication), even if only for a short time. To escape to a different world can make a big difference in my mood in real time.
To put things in perspective, when I was at my lowest point, I couldn’t open mail, talk on the phone, or even drive to the store. Walls of sadness surrounded me. As they closed in, tears would fall. There didn’t need to be a reason or trigger.
People ask me why I started writing. My answer is simple: I wanted to create a world into which other people with similar problems could escape. I wanted to share the one place that had helped me for many years.
I have always said that as long as one person finds a little bit of happiness out of my books, I am, in my opinion, an accomplished author. The same is true for every writer out there. Please don’t ever let anyone tell you differently.
I read books as well as write them and have visited the worlds many different authors have created. Those worlds not only make me feel better, but give me the strength to face real life again. I want to thank everyone who writes—I want them to know they are making a difference.

This is such a fun holiday read. I enjoyed each and every second of it. I loved that the main character is in Australia because it definitely challenged for me what a holiday read consists of. I’m used to snowy backdrops to my holiday story. In this book we trade this for surf and sand. Lizzy and Jaz are wonderful characters and their chance meeting is truly enchanting. It definitely looks at the question of can a vacation fling last? These characters are so enchanting and really feel like your friends. I loved this fast romance and I definitely recommend picking this book up!

This is the first book in the Hot Flash Hookups series and I loved it. I laughed so hard at so much of this book. The fact that the characters were aging and not perfect 20 something’s was awesome. Olivia and Roman’s story is wonderful. What is more fun then having their respective kids meddle in their romance. I can’t wait for the second book to come out.

Such a cute, quick read and what can be better than the holidays at the beach! Lizzie ends up traveling with her heartbroken best friend to Australia for the holidays. After being let go of her job, she decides to take a break from it all in a new environment for the holidays. After arriving and taking a clumsy tumble, she ends up meeting Jaz, a single dad living in Australia. They start connecting and hitting it off. Lizzie at first is hesitant about getting involved but then switches her mindset to just enjoying this short term romantic holiday fling. Williams has definitely created such a great enjoyable story and also added a text prior to starting the book on the type of English being used in the book. Wish more authors would do this if it is needed for their story.

This is such a fun holiday read, though it almost feels like summer as our heroine is in Australia and has surf and sand weather for Christmas. Do you think fate can hit you in the head like a ball? Well, this is what Lizzie has to figure out after she meets hunky father Jaz, whose son just happens to clock her in the head with a ball as she was trying to enjoy the Australian beach. She had told her friend Shona that holiday romances are nice but never last, so should she have a little fun while she can or should she cut her losses and run, considering she lives thousands of miles away from Jaz and his two children. Their story is sweet with some drama thrown in and a little bit of spice. Basically, this book has everything you need, making it a great read. I can’t tell you how relatable and friendly all the characters are, even the secondary characters have such a wonderful feel to them that I want to be their friend. If you like fun, fast, sweet summer-ish style holiday romances, you should definitely check this one out.

This was an entertaining holiday read. I have read several books by this author and I have always found them enjoyable. Part of the reason I love them is because the characters are so believable we all know someone who is like the character being portrayed in the story. This is a short read but it doesn’t feel like it’s unfinished in anyway. I was just a little disappointed that I flew through it so quick but that is because of the brilliant writing of the author and the fact I was so invested in this story. Lizzie is having a tough time, she has just been made redundant and with Christmas coming up the last thing she wants to do is spend it with her family. So when an opportunity arises to help her friend by buying her flight to Australia off her Lizzie jumps at the chance. After all its just what she needs a break far away from family and in the sun. What she does expect or plan on is meeting someone. Jaz is a single father who has his work cut out looking after his kids that romance never enters his mind. That is until his son accidently hits a woman on the beach. Now their paths keep crossing and he finds he likes spending time with her, he even invites her to have Christmas lunch with him. He knows she’s on holiday and will be leaving soon but wheres the harm is a little holiday fling. Because in Lizzie’s mind that’s all this could ever be right? There’s no way it could progress into something more meaningful is there? Will common sense win or will the magic of Christmas sprinkle just enough magic to grant them a Christmas wish? I loved it and even though its set in a sunny place the magic of Christmas still came through. This is definately a book to read curled up by the fire with a mug of hot chocolate.

The Christmas Escape by Belinda Williams. This is such a fun Christmas love story. Its the story of Lizzie who has just lost her job and her apartment. This is right at Christmas too so when her best friends loser boyfriend doesn’t come thru on a vacation ticket Lizzie thinks “why not” so she goes with her girlfriend to Australia. While there she thinks she should have a fling with a hot guy, that might make her feel better. When she meets Jaz/Jasper who is enjoying the beach with his kids she thinks he is good looking. He would make a good fling. Jaz feels bad for her spending Christmas alone so he invites her over and the chemistry takes over. They both know this can’t be a long term relationship because she has to go home but when they both catch feelings what will they do? Read this fun Christmas time romance to find out! Fast paced cute holiday romance book! I loved the main characters a lot and the side characters were all amazing too. Very welcoming and heart warming. Super fast read but I really enjoyed it. Lizzie and her best friend Shona are deciding how Shona should handle having a ticket to Australia that has already been paid for and is non refundable. Lizzie has just lost her most recent job that she didn’t really like and she has decided this will be her chance to get away and not have to deal with her family and their disappointment. She gets to Australia and realizes this is the best decision she could have made until her first day on the beach. She wasn’t expecting to truly have to watch her surrounds on the beach until a ball almost knocks her out. One of the most gorgeous men she’s seen comes to her rescue because it was his son Lachlan that kicked the ball that almost took her out. Jaz is a retired professional surfer and now owns his own cafe. He tells Lizzie to stop by the cafe sometime and to let them know that he sent her. To her surprise when she stops by he is there, that’s when she learns he owns the cafe. Since his son is the reason for her injury he does feel a little guilty and wants to try and make her holiday better so he invites her to his Christmas with friends and they begin to fall for each other but neither truly want to admit that they have, because it was only supposed to be some fun. After she tells him she feels they shouldn’t see each other any more she spends her last few days alone and heads back home to the UK. She decides when she gets home that she get a new job working in a law office again and come to find out her boss is actually friends with Jaz and it just seems like fate has stepped in again. Will she allow herself to finally be happy or will she miss a chance of a life time?
I love Christmas books and I love romance books. I was so glad this story was a well written Christmas romance. It definitely made me excited for Christmas magic and gave me the feeling of love. Lizzie and Jaz are everything and watching their love unfold was magical.

This book had me wanting to hop on a flight to Australia for a Christmas Holiday. Lizzie and Jaz are a fun and lovable pair that had me rooting for them from the start. From their unexpected meeting courtesy of Lachlan’s football, to navigating a holiday fling between a newly unemployed woman from London and a surfing single dad in Australia, can their two worlds collide (literally) and survive? Read this fantastic book to find out. The Christmas Escape is a quick read, but is sure to capture your heart immediately.

This is an absolutely super cute quick read. It definitely got me into the holiday spirit. It has the, “What will go wrong, does go wrong”; mantra to it. You automatically feel drawn to Lizzie because the writer evokes compassion when writing about her. When she decides to buy her friends ticket to Australia, she could have never fathomed what was about to happen. This where I kept turning the pages in the book. I could not get enough of the setting and wonderful characters. This book will have your swooning and laughing at the same time. The way the author is able to grab your attention and keep it from page one to the end, speaks of how well written this book is. This books gave me Hallmark Christmas Movie vibes and I am here for it. If you want to have an escape or just want something to get you into the Christmas Spirit this is the book for you. This book was just adorable. A cute, quick read with the perfect romantic trope. I actually loved how Belinda started off the book with a Dear Reader note, it made the book feel more intimate and provided a better understanding of some of the UK language choices she used (I think I only googled like maybe two words while reading!). Lizzie and Shona’s friendship feels ridiculously familiar, like they could be my own friends. I definitely wish I had a friend that would help me take a trip to Australia! When Lizzie meets Jaz and his associated friends/family, I couldn’t wait to see where the romance would go. Super cute story, highly recommended for a cozy holiday read!

As a older lady Olivia is thinking she is past all the dating game and is happy with her chaotic life at the moment, but when her Ex-husband is remarrying and is is invited to the wedding Olivia decides that she is happy going to the even single, but her grown up children decide to enrol a friend as a “Fake Boyfriend” for her.
Having check into her Island bungalow a knock arrives at the door and when she open’s it, there standing in all his glory is Hockey star Roman all muscles and hunky. How is she suppose to navigate the situation when she is instantly attracted to him?
Roman is starting to feel his age, although in other profession being 41 would be the pinnacle of life but with his body feeling the pressure of a professional athletic he is starting to doubt how long he can go on. So when his friends convinced him to play the role of the “Fake Boyfriend” so when he arrives and starts seeing they have more in common and an attraction, can he just be platonic or push for more?
I love Sylvie Stewart books so with her name on the cover as well as Marika Ray I knew I would not be disappointed and I definitely wasn’t. The story is well developed and the characters were brilliant to drive the story forward. I so related to the character of Olivia with the start of the menopause I feel the insecurities and the hilarious commentary had me laughing out loud.
I loved the character of Roman who was a perfect equal to Olivia’s character as the doubts and vulnerability of growing older and finding the love they deserve. The way he stuck up for her and understood the insomnia and being that support that she had not had was lovely to read. I could not put this book down and can’t wait to read more from this partnership.

I have found characters that I could relate to in one way or another, but nothing like the way I related to Olivia. I love my romance books, but so many the characters are the same age groups as my daughters. Olivia is close to my age and dealing with the next phase of her life as a empty nester going through the change.
This book had me laughing out loud with some of what happens, like when Olivia and Roman met.
Roman is a single dad to Hannah, she and her roommate Holly talk him into playing fake date to Olivia. Their initial meeting isn’t ideal but I found it very funny.
The kids are in the background most of the time, but when they are there they are entertaining and pretty dead on what adult kids are like with their parents. I can think of a few lectures my daughter has given me.
I have read several books by Ms. Stewart and enjoyed each and every one of them. This was my introduction to Ms. Ray and I will be looking for more by here.
