Tropical Date (Postscript Island, #2)Tropical Date by R.S. Jonesee
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I was only going to ‘just start’ this book yesterday, but a couple hours went by and I was finished. This book allows the reader to escape to a beautiful island filled with incredible characters. We follow self made billionaire, Weston, as he returns home to Postscript Island and has a no so warm welcome from his former love Marissa. Although Marissa does her best to avoid Weston, mysterious offers to buy the local businesses has her seeking his help as his arrival was to help his mom’s similar offer. I loved the chemistry between the main characters, but my favorite character was by far Marissa’s dad. I appreciate that the author gives each character a personality for the reader to grasp onto. Good book, couldn’t put it down and definitely recommend.

Tropical Date is the third book in the Postscript Island series by R.S. Jonesee. This is the first book that I have read by this author, so I really didn’t know what to expect from one of her stories. But I love a fun read, and this certainly gave off those vibes- so I snapped up a copy and dove right in.
It is a witty romantic comedy with a second chances element, a tropical island setting, adventure, mystery, drama, banter/quips/antics, and danger…. All of which made for a sexy, fun story. A painter, a condom company CEO, a tropical island, their complicated past, some mayhem, banter, and plenty of chemistry- intriguing! Right?
I really enjoyed this book and will definitely be going back to read the other two books in the series, as well as any future releases by this talented author.
Happy Reading!

Thank you, R.S. Jonesee!

I received an ARC of this book and so glad I did!! This is Book 3 of 3 in a series but can be read as a standalone, which is what I did.

I loved this book and it did not disappoint!! Page turner, quick easy read! Now I’m going to go read other books in this series!

Laugh out loud funny! Made me imagine I was sitting beachside with my toes in the sand, book & beverage in my hand!
Quick, easy, enjoyable read! While book 3 in the Postscript Island series is a stand alone novel, I do wish that I would have read the other two prior! Loved the author (R.S Jonesee) and their writing style! I will DEFINITELY seek out the other novels to go back and read!

Marissa & Weston were high school sweethearts until one day, Weston decided it was “too much” and left the island to pursue his dreams. Weston eventually returns home to the island, as he mom attempts to lure him home permanently with a business offer that he can’t refuse.

A nudist colony, a condom company, lots of laughs, some romance, and a mystery to solve…..all in a gorgeous, tropical setting. It doesn’t get any better than this! 5 stars! Highly recommend

Five Years ago, after a pregnancy scare that ended his relationship with his high school sweetheart, Marissa, Weston left his hometown of Postscript Island for college and refused to go back. Now that his mom has suddenly been offered a substantial offer to buy out her shop in town and needs his advice, he goes back and must face his past in hopes of creating a future with Marissa.

Marissa is afraid to trust herself or Weston after their past, and struggles to move past her own pain and fear, until she realizes that things on the Island aren’t adding up and people she thinks she knows and can trust aren’t who they seem to be.

This book is a guaranteed happily ever after set on a beautiful island.

I absolutely adored this story! I hadn’t read the previous 2 stories, but I definitely plan to check them out. I was expecting the standard rom-com second love story line, but then the author threw a curve-ball with a fun fill mystery added in. I enjoyed how she shared the background of Marissa and Weston’s teenage romance and how things went sideways in smaller pieces, so it wasn’t all thrown at us all at once. The story was filled with humor, but when the main character owns a condom empire, the jokes pretty much write themselves. Throw in a few trips to a nudist colony a sassy parrot and you have the perfect mix for hilarity. I loved the story line and how the characters grow and come together. It’s definitely a great book to read if you are looking to escape reality for a bit and need some steamy romance, a ton of humor, a dash of mystery, and a happily ever after.

Okay where does one begin. Tropical Date, I liked it but I didn’t love it. And because of that, I might actually read it again to see if my feelings change. I enjoyed the concept the author created, unfortunately I felt the pace to be a little slow. I’ve read quite a few second chance romance novels recently and though this one wasn’t my favorite, I know there’s people out there who will love it! Especially with the mystery added in.
Weston and Marissa were high school sweethearts, till they weren’t. Weston walked away from everything because he couldn’t handle it. If he couldn’t be with Marissa he couldn’t be near her.
Leaving his island home with no intentions of returning, till his mom gets a strange offer for her store. Weston comes back to investigate and he’s pulled like a moth to Marissa’s flame. One problem is that she’s seeing someone…
Will Weston fight for her?
How does the dynamic change once they are back in each other’s universe?
Also who wants to buy up island land, and destroy what island life is all about.
Keep an open mind as well as track if you want to track the author’s movements from page to page. Enjoy it!

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

An enjoyable and entertaining romantic comedy, which gave me some pure escapism whilst reading it, as I was transported to the tropical Postscript Island and the P.S. Resort. Painter Marissa and the now billionaire condom manufacturer, Weston have a difficult past, but now they have come face to face again on the Island. After Weston fled to the states, Marissa threw herself into her painting and is now studying for an art degree, whilst helping her parents run the resort. She’s also dating again, but although the local cafe owner is sweet he’s also safe. Her life is turned upside down when Weston returns to the Island to help his Mum sell her boutique.
Weston, who bought a small condom manufacturing plant, which turned out to be very successful and profitable is now a billionaire, living the perfect life, or so he thought, until he saw Marissa again. The couple need to decide if they can put the past behind them if they are to have a future. I loved Marissa and Weston and their chemistry definitely came across in the narrative, leading to some steamy scenes. I liked the witty banter between the couple and the innuendos added humour to the story. I liked the ‘will they won’t they’ element of the storyline, and the added plot twists, involving a mystery kept me hooked from start to finish. Although it can be read as a standalone story, I look forward to reading the previous books in the series now, so that I can return to the P.S. Resort!

Marissa lives on Postscript Island and is about to fulfill her dream and open an art gallery on the island. She’s happy, dating a great guy that owns a coffee house on the island and her parents also run a successful resort there.
Weston left the island after high school leaving behind high school sweetheart Marissa. He owns a very successful business and is very happy to live the bachelor lifestyle and not return to the island. His mom reaches out about concerns of a very lucrative offer to sell her business. With some reluctance, he returns to the island on his mega yacht to find other businesses on Main Street receiving well above value offers as well.
Weston comes back to the island and back into Marissas life as they work together to find out about the developer trying to buy up a lot of postscript island.
This was a well written book. It had a good mystery and love story all in one.

This book was a phenomenal romantic comedy that I didn’t want to end. And it’s a perfect summer read by the pool or ocean. I wasn’t sure what to expect as this is an author I’ve never read before, but I will certainly be looking into her other books now. If they are anything like this one they will be fabulous. I laughed so hard at the sarcasm throughout this book. I loved that the main business is a condom manufacturer. I’ve never read a book with that type of business, and it just made for even more laughs and witty innuendos. I highly recommend this book if you want to laugh your behind off. You will not be disappointed.

I really enjoyed this rom com. It is part of a series, however it can be read as a standalone and enjoyed just as much. I loved the characters, the author does an amazing job of making the characters relatable and their personalities jump right off the page.

The story is is set in a paradise where you can imagine falling in love would be easy. However the course of love is never straight forward and when it involves a past love then things just get even more complicated.
Add to the corruption and lies that are found in this book and it really adds an extra dimension to the story so it has something extra than just being a rom com

I love how the author brings in humour and innuendos to really highlight Marrisa and Westons past and the way they communicate with each other in this way really shows their relationship for the amazing connection it has. But will past events and current lies stop them from rekindling their relationship.

Imagine sitting at the beach with a cocktail in hand and a good book in the other well that is exactly what Tropical Date is.

I love a good RomCom and that is just what RS has given us. She is a new author to me and one I look forward to reading more of. This is the third book in this series but I have read it as a standalone and I didn’t feel like I was missing out. I will however be going back to read the others.

Tropical date is fun and full of all the things I enjoy in a romantic comedy. I mean my sense of humour had me laughing when a girl was hit by a bus in Bad Girls.

There is nothing straight forward on the road to love especially when there is a past between them which makes for some delightful barbs and puns.

With a beautiful tropical setting, delightful wit, lots banter, a condom company and a nudist colony I couldn’t help but laugh out loud. The delightful humour, wit and banter infused throughout this adventure added with a tad of mystery and a dab of danger there is something to delight your senses.

One in a Billion

Victoria is a journalist. Her career is struggling and she needs to gain access to an interview that will turn her whole career around. Her eyes are set on a billionaire, however, he is incredibly private. Seth is that billionaire in an industry that has taught him how to get what he wants. What he wants is a media advisor who happens to be Victoria. Can they both get what they want? Are they able to meet in the middle? Or are they destined to be apart.
The beginning of this story reminds me a little of the movie How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days. Not the whole premise of the book, rather just the fact that the whole thing begins with the female being not truthful at the start. Seth is definitely jaded about love when the book begins. However, the evolution of the characters and their story definitely was reminiscent. However, despite it being a familiar story arc, I really truly did love this story. Belinda Williams is an author that I have really grown to love and I especially love the Pierce Brothers stories. It was a very fast and easy read as I have grown accustomed to. I can only wait anxiously for the next book in the series. I definitely think this makes a great beach read!

This is such a lovely romance. Nadia is a nurse who has a very quick mouth or smart mouth, depending on how you look at it. She prides herself in never falling in love and just using men to suit her needs. She is definitely the queen of one night stands. Luke is a single dad with a daughter and a thriving construction company. When Nadia’s house begins to start falling apart around her, she calls the one person she trusts most in this world, Chelsea. Chelsea just so happens to be dating Luke’s brother and Luke just happens to be visiting when they come to look at Nadia’s house. Nadia doesn’t want to admit, but Luke got under her skin, but he also is the best one to help her fix up her house. Luke fully knows that he is not only smitten with Nadia, but also her house which is a fixer upper to say the least. When Luke wins the contract for her house, they know they will be spending a lot of time together, but will they be able to rekindle what they felt during that one night stand?
I love Nadia’s character and the way that she talks. I truly loved her attitude toward life. I found myself desperately hoping that Nadia and Luke would be able to figure it out because their banter might have been the best part of the book to me. I highly recommend this fun romance!

Belinda Williams has truly developed a lovable series with the Pierce Brothers!
Each brother is different and each lead female is 100% relatable.

In this book we meet Seth who we know a little about from previous installments but we truly get to know the real Seth in this book!
Then we have Victoria who has a deadline, professionally, and hardlines, personally! Can the two mix?

I love how easy to read these books are but they still keep the readers attention from start to finish! Each character is well developed and relatable!

Belinda Williams has done it again in the next installment of Pierce Brothers Series!
In the second books readers meet back up with Nadia and Luke who we briefly met in book one and get to follow their second chance story. But are second chances really a thing?
Nadia is fierce and everything in her past tells her to protect herself.
Luke is determined and that includes all areas of his life. So can Nadia and Luke get past their first time and the turmoil that surrounds it?!?
Passion and tension flood this second book in the series and leave readers always wanting more!

Another Pierce brother has fallen and I loved reading how it happened.  From their interesting first meeting they and their interactions were anything but normal or what you would expect.

Victoria and Seth are great as friends. They had amazing chemistry but it was so much more than that.  It’s hard for me to put into words, but they just work.

Seth is much deeper than I expected and not your typical Billionaire and I might have started crushing on him just a bit.

Victoria has her life pretty together, not going to lie, little jealous.  She has a great best friend and professionally things are not perfect but not horrible.

I really enjoyed every moment spent reading and I cannot wait for the final brother to fall in love.
