5 Stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

The Scottish Play is the 1st Book in the new PolyAm Fam series and I LOVED this book so much. I am a huge fan of this author and I was eagerly anticipating to read this story and I cannot say enough of how much I really enjoyed this book. Giving me the feels of a sense of love, family, drama, angst with sugar and spice….I devoured every page and have no regrets. The overall relationships between the characters and how it developed throughout the storyline makes me want to be part of world.

Who wouldn’t love a true Scotsman in a kilt help with a play that is for your graduate degree? Molly being in a predicament needed the perfect person to play the part and help her get her final project done and wow the professors. When Molly’s girlfriend, Poe, approaches Lachlan Adair to see if he would be game to help out….Lachlan does not know how to act…but taking a look at Molly at first sight…he was in. Sparks fly between Lachlan and Molly..knowing that Molly though already has her love of her life, Poe. When things heat up, feelings are mutual….with the support of the polycule that Molly is part of….Molly needs to find the courage to feel free and open on whom she loves…even if it more than one person…

Will Molly’s play become a success in the end after it is all said and done….with Poe and Lachlan both whom love Molly…

Definitely read and find out…you will not be disappointed. I loved this spin on love and for me just perfectly done. Love is Love….always

The Scottish Play (Polyam Fam Series) by Phoebe Alexander

The Scottish Play is the first book in the Polyam Fam Series and is a wonderfully written Romantic Comedy. I loved everything about this book from the characters that are fully developed, relatable and complex. Her style of writing is what I love most about her. Her attention to detail along with her creative characters make the story come to life. I’ve read several books by this author and honestly this is my favorite yet. Lachlan and Molly, she doesn’t date men and for her grad school project is to stage her play she wrote. Lachlan doesn’t date period but sure has a sexy accent. He’s not the best actor but whew should that really matter? I think not. These two have some serious chemistry between them. What will happen onve the play is complete? I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I’m already looking forward to the next book in this series.

What can be better than a romcom set in Turks and Caicos while on vacation? Giuliana and her best friend have a vacation together but at the last minute her best friend can’t go until later into the vacation and embarks on the start of their vacation alone. Or so she thinks? During the flight, she ends up meeting Landon and is instantly attracted to him. Unlike Guiliana, Landon is on this trip for business, not pleasure, so his mindset is not on having a romantic rendezvous. Unfortunately, he cannot help how beautiful she is but he is quite guarded and not sure how to proceed with whatever it is they are. Will these guarded nature keep them from seeing what potential they might have? I absolutely recommend this great romantic, funny read. It is the first in the series and I am looking forward to reading more of it as it comes along.

The Scottish Play (PolyAm Fam Book 1)The Scottish Play by Phoebe Alexander
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was my first PolyAm Fam book and I am so glad that I gave it a chance! I really enjoyed the story and characters. It was witty and adorable, but also tense and informative. In this book Molly lives with a polycule and is completing her grad school thesis project. A play she wrote is to be cast and shown for a weekend, for her to pass and graduate the program. Thankfully her girlfriend finds that PERFECT guy for her leading male role! Lachlan is even a Scotsman!! Which is perfect since the man in her play is a kilt-wearing Scot! Talk about luck right? Wrong. Unfortunately, even though he looks and sounds the part, he knows absolutely NOTHING about acting and being in a play. Molly is determined to make it work. Lachlan gets roped into helping which he doesn’t mind one bit. He thinks that Molly is cute, curvy, smart, and it doesn’t hurt that she likes his sexy scot accent. Molly starts giving him lessons, but she worries about their attraction to one another. Her polycule pushes her to find out what’s there, but she’s had a line of bad luck when it comes to dating males. Lachlan finds her whole arrangement very odd. Molly has a girlfriend after all. How can he date someone who is already taken, especially because he doesn’t normally date. Maybe a fling is both what they need. After the play they can do their separate ways right. But what about Molly’s girlfriend? Will she be okay with any of this?? Read the book to follow this funny, cute, sassy story!! You will fall in love with the characters and their world. I loved getting a glimpse into a polycule and learning more about their family. If that is the reason you are on the fence about this book, I have to tell you to just give it a chance!! It was a wonderful book!

This book gives you a different perspective on the lives of people that society deems as not normal. Their home seems like a very loving home where the dynamic between the characters works perfectly. I will say without giving too much away, these characters are anything but vanilla. Great first book to this series and I can not wait to read book two. I highly recommend this series.

Vacation Flirtation…or More? (Winter Getaway Romance Book 1)

What a cute book in a glorious location. I could imagine myself on the beach and have decided my friend and I need to take a trip like this.

Giuliana’s annual trip with her best friend Morgan is exactly what anyone living in the cold would need during the winter. Mother Nature has different ideas and delays Morgan so Giuliana is on her own at first.

That changes quickly on her flight over when she meets Landon who is heading down for business.

I enjoyed everything from the way they met to the very end. Definitely worth it and can’t wait to see more by this new to me author.

I liked this book. I enjoyed the chemistry between Giuliana and Landon. The mystery about Landon’s life as “Mr. Parker” was intriguing and kept me reading to find out more. I loved the descriptions of the islands and the characters. I could really envision what the characters looked like and their surroundings. I felt the characters were likable, as well, especially Giuliana. It was refreshing to read a romance about two successful, determined people. I would recommend this book to someone looking for a quick read with steamy romance. I’m looking forward to book 2!

This was such a fun book to read on my lazy Saturday! It is a pretty quick read, but it doesn’t feel rushed at all which I love. I wouldn’t mind if it was longer, but that’s just because I love it so much, not because the author skimped on details. I laughed out loud more than a handful of times which is a super big bonus for me! Giuliana felt completely relatable, and Landon is such a dreamy heartthrob. I can’t wait to read more from this author, they gained a loyal follower for sure! If you like romance, witty banter, and wonderful characters, this should be your next read without question!

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is a standalone romcom. It would be an amazing holiday read and a part of me wished I was on a beach enjoying the sun just like our characters.
This was an instant attraction steamy romance and I loved how the author placed the character together because neither of them was looking for what hit them on the first day of that holiday.

Giuliana jets off to start her relaxing holiday with her childhood friend. She is so excited to spend some time away continuing the tradition they have had in place for years. This is a girl’s holiday no men allowed. However that all changes when her friends plane is delayed and a handsome stranger enters her life.

Landon isn’t heading to the resort for a holiday. He’s there purely for business. That is until he meets Giuliana.
Now his plans have changed and business becomes the last thing on his mind. However Landon is hiding something and if he isn’t careful he will spill everything to Giuliana which could risk what they have between them.

Would it really matter if she found out? If things end it’s not the end of the word right? Holiday romances are ment to be short lived, but what happens when it becomes something more. Something neither of them expected or could stop from happening.
This was a really entertaining read. I will definitely be taking it on holiday with me as well as it’s a proper pool side read.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Vacation Flirtation is the first installment in the Winter Getaway Romance series and can be read as a standalone. This is Giuliana and Landon’s meet-cute, whirlwind of a romance story and it is fantastic, funny, and flirty. I really enjoyed Komosinski’s writing style along with her plot development and her character development. Her characters have depth to them and are very relatable. I also really enjoyed the sub-plot of Giuliana and Morgan’s friendship (which is the whole reason Giuliana is in Turks and Caicos in the first place) and how it has matured over the years like they have. This is the definition of a slow burn but the spice is still nicely done and sprinkled throughout the book. I loved the witty banter between everyone and the emotional depth later on in the book. I’m really looking forward to reading more of the series and the author.

The Scottish Play by Phoebe Alexander (Stephanie Tellas)

“Molly doesn’t date men.
Lachlan doesn’t date period.
So can they stick to the script?
Molly Rose’s final grad school project is to stage the play she wrote. How on earth did her girlfriend find the absolute perfect cast for the kilt-wearing Scotsman role? Well, he looks the part, but he knows nothing about acting. It hasn’t escaped anyone’s notice that Lachlan Adair is ruggedly handsome. Molly’s polycule insists she keep an open mind, but she hasn’t dated a man since a series of disastrous attempts in high school, and she certainly doesn’t intend to start now. Lachlan doesn’t know how he got roped into helping out with this MFA student’s thesis project, but she’s so curvy and cute. And she seems to like his accent. Apparently she has a girlfriend and lives in a house full of other freaky folks. No big deal. When the play is over, their fling will be too. Right?” Do they fall in love? Will have to read the book to find out.
Great funny characters, bit of spice with suspense and comedy. I suggest readers 18+ and older. Lots of spice. The book was entertaining, gripping, and a quick read. I give this book 4 stars.

This is my first book by this author, and I am so glad I took a chance. Such a super cute, super fun, super sexy story and a great start for this series. Halfway through the story I knew there was more sunshine and rainbows than darkness and angst. However, there seemed to be an underlying current that something bad was going to happen. Was Giuliana going to ruin the chance or was Landon really a jerk in a gentleman’s clothing? Maybe I just read too many dark and stormy romances and I was projecting my fears onto these fun characters. I mean, vacations are supposed to be great right? And a vacation with your best friend in Turks & Caicos even better. Add in a little flirtation with a sexy man and now we have perfection. This story was a fun read and looks to be the start of something really good.

Vacation Flirtation…Or More? Was a fun quick read. I liked the storyline and how much we got to know each of the characters in such a short time (the book is less than 200 pages, and takes place across less than a week). I am happy to see there is a 2nd book coming, because it was fun to read. The characters are well written. Landon is filthy rich, but is down to earth. He spends money on Giuliana, but isn’t overly flashy or cocky with it. I like that Giuliana is a educated woman, with a great job. The steamy scenes are mild and not overly described which I prefer. I like when the book focuses more on the plot and development of the characters and their relationship.

The Scottish Play (PolyAm Fam Book 1)The Scottish Play by Phoebe Alexander
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was a beautifully written book about not only finding family that will accept you but new experiences. Take Lachlan “Lanny” for example. He not only got to act in his first play but he learned all about polycules and what it means to be poly. I have to admit the polycule was a new term for me.

Molly is a playwright. She is attempting to earn her MFA, all she has to do is have a successful play. She needs the perfect leading man. She hasn’t found him yet until her girlfriend, Poe, suggests someone new. Poe pushes the maintenance guy working in her building to audition for Molly’s play. He is perfect. He even has no problem with the accent.

Lachlan is surprised when someone approaches him about helping out with a play. Lachlan figures they need a set built or something, since that is what he does. When he gets there, it turns out that the director, a beautiful curvy woman he has an immediate attraction to, is looking for a leading actor that can pull off a Scottish accent. Luckily for Lachlan, the accent is built in since he is Scottish! Willing to give it a chance, Lachlan says yes.

As Molly and Lachlan spend more time together turning him into an actor, the more their mutual attraction builds. This leads to problems for Molly because she has not dated a man in nearly a decade. Also, Molly is dating Poe and although they have an open relationship, Molly has not been with anyone else since starting to date Poe. Molly fights the internal battles of the attraction to Lachlan and her fears that Poe is pulling away. This is Lachlan’s first experience with polyamory. He has to adjust.

Adding to the drama is Molly’s sister’s wedding. Molly’s family is devout Evangelical Christian and does not approve of her lifestyle or so she thinks. Molly wants to take Poe to the wedding as her date but doesn’t want to upset her pastor father, who holds the purse strings to her trust fund that is paying for her education.

As the tensions boil, Molly, Poe, and Lachlan all have to confront their feelings for each other and learn how to navigate the situation. The way the polycule supports Molly and Poe is a wonderful thing. Cynda’s insight is instrumental in helping build bridges. If nothing else, this story proves that love is not always one dimensional. You can love different people at the same time, equally but differently. This wonderful story also taught me some new vocabulary.

Polyamory and open relationships may not be your bag, however, understanding the dynamics allows one to gain knowledge regarding the lifestyle. Wonderfully written.

I’m a sucker for romance novels, so I don’t skimp on reading them. Vacation Flirtation or More my most recent find fits the bill. I thoroughly enjoyed what the author presented, however I wanted more. Even going as far as giving that build up feel then falling slightly short. Despite that I still enjoyed what was read.
Giuliana & Landon go on a rapid unexpected adventure. Him there to fulfill a wish. Her for her girl’s week. Never expected that one turbulence spill into another man’s lap would change their lives. The only things that can hold them back are time and travel.
Can they get past their fears?
A running question throughout that could be applied to multiple scenarios, is the main question the reader wants answered. And the author delivers. It’s up to you now to find out how? Happy Reading!

Fun, flirty rom-com, Vacation Flirtation..or More is Book 1 in the Winter Getaway Romance series and I loved this story. The connection between Landon and Giuliana is truly undeniable and it had me rooting for both of them the entire story. I love when a story gives me all the feels with a tropical themed romance, a few secrets and cocktails and just overall fun flirty banter…..

Giuliana and her best friend, Morgan, are off to their annual vacation never expecting to find what could be “the one” on the airplane. When Morgan is delayed, Giuliana finds her eyes are on Landon to fill her time….and Landon never forgot the beauty on the plane…that ends up being Giuliana. The instant connection and spark…off the charts…While Landon is going over business plans he also finds time to get to know Giuliana on so many levels.

Is this whirwind of a week just only for fun or is true love there that Giuliana and Landon will fight for…Definitively read and find out…I highly recommend this book. I am looking forward to more in this series!!

An enjoyable and entertaining romantic comedy which took me on a winter getaway and kept me happily turning the pages. Giuliana Giovanni was meant to be having a fun filled vacation jetting off to Turks and Caicos with her best friend, but her friend is delayed at the last moment. However, when she meets the blue eyes of a handsome stranger in the row behind her she’s shocked by the attraction she feels. When they both turn up at the same resort, Giuliana’s plans for a relaxing holiday now change to involve lots of steamy glances and playful banter with Landon Parker. Landon had flown to the Caribbean for business but having met Giuliana his plans also change, and now he’s there for pleasure. However, Landon has secrets which he’s worried he might just tell her but then she might not want to continue their vacation flirtation. They both know that holiday romances don’t last, but they both wonder if maybe theirs could! This was such a fun, lighthearted story which had me hooked throughout. Giuliana is such a likeable and relatable young women and I loved the instant connection she had with Landon, and their chemistry sizzled off the page and led to some steamy scenes. The wonderful Caribbean setting came to life through the descriptive narrative and the vacation vibes definitely came across in the writing. There were some laugh out loud moments along with the heartwarming developing romance between the main characters.

This is a romance book about a girl named Giuliana. Her and her best friend take a girl’s trip every year for their birthdays. Unfortunately, this year her friend’s flight is delayed a couple of days and now she needs to figure out how to spend her time on the island. Lucky for her, she meets a guy on the plane who ends up at the same hotel. They quickly have chemistry, but it’s more than that. Landon is a lawyer in New York, but his rich uncle just left him all of his assets on the tropical island that he now needs to decide what he will do with them. He needs to spend at least 3 months there before deciding. He never thought one of these decisions would revolve around a woman. The couple spends many magical days getting to know each other, slowly falling in love. They want more than just a fling and he pursues her for the long-term. She has had relationship problems in the past and is not sure if this is a good idea, but her heart is saying something different.
I loved this book. It was a sweet romance with no bs. The book is a quick read with little drama, great plot, and great banter/romance. Landon is just a gentleman and whatever girl fantasizes about having as a partner. Guiliana was also a great character. She is independent, strong, sassy, but also willing to let go. It was nice to read a romance book without the miscommunication issues, the constant “we can’t” issues, etc. I would read another book from this author.
