In Plain Sight (Broken Bow Book #3)In Plain Sight by Ashley A Quinn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is another exceptional book in this series. While it handle a tough subject the author did it with grace and blended it into the story nicely. I enjoyed getting back to the Archers group and seeing how things would work out between Rayna and Thomas. They had some excitement, danger and a wonderful stranger to help them along and to re-open their hearts.

I loved getting to see how the families work together on a problem. Plus catch up with Tara and Jace. That Tara is a handful. Rayna and Thomas have a second or third chance here. Each have grown and matured but the advice of someone gives them the nudge they need

Overall this is a captivating story. I struggled to put it down and am already wondering if there will be another.

In Plain Sight (Broken Bow Book #3)In Plain Sight by Ashley A Quinn
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

In Plain Sight was a suspenseful and gripping story that was hugely addictive and hard to put down. Immersing myself easily into the lives of Rayna and Thomas, I was swept away on yet another thrilling and dangerous ride. This is the third book in the Broken Bow series by Ashley A Quinn, and I really enjoy the way this author weaves intrigue and mystery into her stories, along with romance and enough sexual tension to burn the pages. Boone County was a dangerous place, and when Rayna and Thomas join forces to find the answers to the questions she has about the abused boy she found in the field, she risks her heart all over again. The dastardly secrets that shroud her town has her seeking answers and making herself a target.

In Plain Sight was an engaging and deeply riveting story that was easy to escape into. An attention grabbing mystery with heat and heart. A fantastic way to spend a rainy day. 4 stars.

Ashley A. Quinn’s In Plain Sights is the third book in The Broken Bow series and is a suspenseful contemporary second chance romance. This engaging and emotional read gives us lots of intrigue and danger, drama, and angst that you soon find yourself immersed in and page after page turning. Ashley writes strong characters, vivid and descriptive gripping, and deadly tales.

I won’t give anything away as Ashley’s writing should be experienced firsthand.

In Plain Sight is the third book in The Broken Bow series by Ashley A. Quinn. I absolutely LOVE this series- the characters, the gripping storylines, and Ms. Quinn’s superb writing skills- all have me clamouring for more.
The stories can be read as standalones, but there is a cast of recurring characters and overlapping details, so to fully appreciate the story/series, I highly recommend reading the first two books before diving into this one.
Again, as with the other two books, this is a gripping romantic suspense- with plenty of danger, drama, intrigue, angst, and emotion. But this is also a story of second chances, chemistry, connection, family, friendships, camaraderie, trust, finding where you belong, – and so much more. Weave in the shocking and heartbreaking sex trafficking/child exploitation issues, the vile monsters behind the trade, and lots of gripping twists and turns- and this story was un-put-down-able right from the get-go.
Having met Rayna and Thomas in the previous books, I couldn’t wait to get their story- and they certainly don’t disappoint. OMG- my heart broke for what Mason (and the others) had been through- I was expecting to be gripped by this story, but Ms. Quinn had my emotions simmering and then broiling within the first few chapters.
This was everything I had hoped it would be, and more. I’m excited to see what comes next. Highly recommended!
Happy Reading!

Thank you, Ashley A. Quinn!

ANGUISH (THE JOURNALS TRILOGY BOOK ONE) AUDIO BOOK by D.M. EARL – Review by Mirela Ruiz

ANGUISH (THE JOURNALS TRILOGY BOOK ONE) AUDIO BOOK by D.M. EARL was such an emotional listen. I was warned but was not ready for how deep it would hurt to listen to all that Quinn went through. The story was well organized and I could feel the emotions in every chapter. I felt like the pacing and dialogue moved the story along well and I did not feel lost. I could easily have finished it one day if the subject matter did not make me have to take a break. I got super invested and found myself reacting as Ivy did in the book.

The SEAL’s Temptation: Wounded Hearts- #7 by Jacquie Biggar

This isn’t the first book I’ve read by Biggar. It is the first book I’ve read in The Wounded Hearts Series. I’ve got to say that this book was amazing.

Maggie is supposed to be on paid-leave. When the man that runs the ranch catches her heart. Then she’s back to work and he’s injured. The quote I chose for Maggie is: “No, it was nice —listening to you joking like that. I can tell you’re close.”

Frank didn’t know what he needed until he met Maggie. Knowing what she went through and knowing how to handle PTSD episodes. He finds himself falling in love, but pushes her away. The quote I chose for Frank is: “Sure, whatever you need. But you might want to think it over. It’s quiet here. No one to push you into doing anything before you’re ready. Don’t rush away, Maggie. You’ll only hurt someone if you do, and I don’t think you want that. I’ve been in your shoes. PTSD is a b****, make no mistake. It creeps up on you when you least expect it and tangles with your head. Do you really want to be in charge of a weapon when that happens?”

Highly recommended for Romantic Military Suspense lovers.

This book is riveting and full of emotion and the narration just took it to a very stirring level. The emotions are tangible and bigger than the book and just completely overwhelmed me. The narrator did a good job conveying the intent of the author’s work. Well done.

Maggie is a shell of herself trying to put it all back together again. Frank is determined to help her. Maggie is so strong and so brave despite everything. When danger comes again she jumps right back into the fray. With such a strong and stubborn couple the sparks fly! A very good read!

The SEAL's Temptation (Wounded Hearts #7)The SEAL’s Temptation by Jacquie Biggar
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is a fast placed story. I have not read the others in this series and I was easily able to follow along. This isn’t just a story about Maggie and Frank. It really encompasses her team with overlaps into his team how they all work together against one common goal. Did one character stand out over the others? No I didn’t connect with any One particular.

There is some fluff( in my opinion) in here that seemed more like it was to fill pages instead of being any part of the stories. Maybe it wouldn’t have bothered me if I had read the previous ones about the kids abduction.

Overall this is a good story. It does flow well and the author does a good job of thing all the strings together near the end.

The SEAL's Temptation (Wounded Hearts #7)The SEAL’s Temptation by Jacquie Biggar
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The SEAL’s Temptation is the 7th book in the Wounded Hearts series by Jacquie Biggar. Each book in the series can be read as a stand-alone. Although I have read some of Jacquie Biggar’s books, I had not read any of this series. I did at times feel as though I’d be better informed if I’d read previous books as I felt that I was missing some information that may have helped me better understand what a character had gone through.
In saying that, I did enjoy this book. I particularly liked the characters of Frank and Maggie. I’d like to have known more about Maggie’s background but I knew enough to know that she’d gone through a horrific time previous to this book.
I loved how Frank was with her; Patient, supportive and very loyal. Frank is also a great character. He’s well respected by all those around him, all of whom look up to him as if he’s some sort of God.
The story is well written and it was pulled into the story from the very beginning and continued to enjoy it throughout the whole book.
I feel as if I now need to go and read some of the previous books, not just to fill in some information but as I think I’d enjoy them a great deal too.

The SEAL’S Temptation …Wounded Hearts book #7 was filled with emotion, drama, action, loyalty and heart. While i think my experience with the book was hampered a little by the fact I started the series on book #7…how silly am i?…i really think you would love the series if you start from the very beginning and have all the background on the characters. I have learnt my lesson and that’s what i will be doing now!
Ms Biggar gave us great characters and i loved their bond and connection. You doesn’t love some gorgeous navy seals with a strong depth of character, huge hearts and loyalty no one can break.

The SEAL's Temptation (Wounded Hearts #7)The SEAL’s Temptation by Jacquie Biggar
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Seal’s Temptation is book seven in the Wounded Hearts series by Jacquie Biggar.

Although this book can be read as a standalone story (which is what I did), I would suggest reading the previous books in the series. There is a lot of overlapping of characters and storylines between the books, although I found I could keep up pretty well. I would have enjoyed it even more if I had read the others beforehand and knew more of the backstories.

This story takes you on a complete rollercoaster ride of emotions, keeping you on your toes throughout. I loved the romantic story between Maggie and Frank, although I kind of wish there had been more time spent with this couple during the story. They obviously have a connection, but they do seem to skirt around things a lot. There are lots of things going on with other characters too, which can make it a little difficult to keep track at times.
It was the emotions and storytelling that I enjoyed most and kept me quickly turning the pages until the end.

The SEAL's Temptation (Wounded Hearts #7)The SEAL’s Temptation by Jacquie Biggar
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was an engaging and gripping romance with plenty of drama and suspense which kept me happily turning the pages. DEA Agent Maggie Holt has spent eighteen months undercover in a Mexican cartel and she now feels like the amazing agent that she was is now gone and she feels broken. Maggie is suffering with guilt and nightmares and when she is forced to take paid leave she accepts the offer of a vacation on a ranch. The range belongs to the man who rescued her from an almost certain death, Frank Stein who is a retired Chief Petty Officer SEAL. Having suffered from PTSD himself he recognises the symptoms in Maggie when she arrives and hopes she will find the peace on his ranch that he did. Frank is interested in seeing if a relationship could develop between himself and Maggie but Maggie’s DEA partner Adam O’Connor is also in the mix. Adam is angry that she went against orders to go undercover putting herself at risk however, he loved her once and could again, if she’d let him. A right-wing militia group infiltrates the area and Maggie, Adam, and Frank have to work together before someone dies. Maggie has to choose between the handsome cowboy, Frank or her charismatic DEA partner, Adam. This book had me hooked from start to finish and the suspenseful plot ensured I could not put the book down. I liked the three main characters and how their different relationships developed and the interactions between them. The narrative flowed well and I felt immersed in the storyline.

Vengeance (The Journals Trilogy, #2)Vengeance by D.M. Earl
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This story is the continuation of the first book Anguish which I had not read but although I did get the gist of the first book to then find this book as the Vengeance and revenge that Quinn wants to inflicted as mush torture on her tormentors but will she be able unleash the violence or will she fall at the last hurdle.

Stone and his gang is fully behind Quinn and will do anything for her, with the instant attraction he has too her can he fulfil what she wants to happened or will it break them apart. Quinn tries to hide the attraction to Stone as she at times blames in him in part for that fateful day.

I loved this story and although I followed the book I think it would be better to listen to the first book to get a greater understand of the actions behind Quinn and Stone. I loved the feel of getting wrapped into the story and feel with eat word spoken you are in the story living the action and evoke real emotion with each word listened to.

I will definitely download the first book and get the next book in this instalment and see how these two broken people end up and will they have their happy ever after.

Forged by Secrets is the third book in Amy McKinley’s Deadly Isles Special Ops series and much like the two books prior, it did not disappoint.

Very cute story, 10 out of 10 if I could.

ANGUISH (THE JOURNALS TRILOGY BOOK ONE) AUDIO BOOK by D.M. EARL – Review by Lizzie Chapman Gough

This book was very emotional and contains quite a hard hitting story line. I found the female protagonist a strong character despite what she had been through and although I didn’t love this book I am intrigued to know if she does get the revenge she seeks. I enjoyed how fast paced the story was and found this helped keep me focused on the plot and stopped my mind from wavering.
My reasons for not liking this were mainly that as the plot was so hard hitting and emotional I found the racy, sexual parts out of place with the general plot. I also found that the sexual encounters were overly descriptive but that’s my personal taste. I struggled with the narration as I found the narration strangely robotic but again that is my personal taste.

OH MY GOODNESS!! This trilogy didn’t disappoint!! I love how they can be read as standalones but I highly recommend reading all three books, you won’t be able to put the book down!

Malina
Safeguarded from a past that haunts her but she can’t tell anyone about it. She suffers in silence. Working the SEALs was the greatest job she could have ever dreamed of, but working with Tyler Hale, her crush from high school was harder than she thought. Despite their constant banter she always tried to keep him at arms length she wasn’t willing to let anyone else in. But after a night a Vegas and finding out some very surprising news, only to Tyler to drop another bomb on her lap. She returned the favor by revealing her secret. To top it all off she was on the run because someone was trying to frame her something she didn’t do and the only person she thought of to help her was Tyler, so she escaped to his island. Now it was time to trust someone with all her truths, including her past that she never spoke of. But in the end can her and Tyler have a true relationship? Is he willing to believe her and help her? Is she willing to love for the first in a long time?

Tyler
Working along side Malina could sometimes be touture but he lived for getting under her skin, it was the only the way he knew how to interact with her. He knew she had a lot of sadness in her, that much he remembered from high school. Now was the chance to make her his. She was the one that got away, he wasn’t ready for a committed relationship, but now he more than ever. After Malina shows up on his island he’s surprised but happy. But finding out why she is there and how she is being framed. He is all in to save and protect the woman that he loves. But one night during a game of cards/truths, secrets are revealed. Now he will do anything to protect her more than ever. She finally opens up about her past he finally understands why she was so safeguarded, but no more running from their feelings. But first he has to prove her innocence. In the end will he be able to keep her? Can he save her?

This book was so amazing! I didn’t want the story to end. This is book has surprises around every corner. Tyler and Malina have always wanted each other but it time to make that dream a reality, after and when they conquer the threat on Malina’s life. He will do anything to ensure her safety.

I was pulled in right from the beginning, the author does a great job with her writing.
This is Tyler and Malina’s story, I was excited to get another brother’s story.

Malina has had a crush on Tyler for years, when they end up working together all the memories come flooding back. She knows he isn’t the commitment type so she doesn’t get her hopes up. There is a twist after a drunken evening in Vegas. Things take an even bigger twist when she is accused of treason. She turns to Tyler for help, will he be able to help her? Can these two have a HEA?

Overall this was a thrilling read, we get steamy moments, violence, action and so much more. We also get several twists and turns that added a great element to the story. If you’re looking for a great military romance this is the one for you. I look forward to reading more from this author.

This isn’t the first book I’ve read by McKinley. The Deadly Isles Special Ops Series is amazing. This can be read as a standalone.

Melina has come from Venezuela to the States only to have her life flipped around. Her parents are dead, her boyfriend is dead. It’s all her fault. The quote I chose for Melina is: “Okay, then tell me what the reason is behind you giving me one of the movies you did. Or was it strictly because you thought I’d like watching them?”

Tyler is the youngest of the Hale brothers and he’s married. Not only does his wife not know, but she is keeping her walls up. The quote I chose for Tyler is: “Case in point, you’ve got that unexpected viper tongue, and if you unleash it on one of these unsuspecting idiots who think they might have a chance with you, I’d have to get into a fight.”
