For quite a short book this one really packs a punch. It was a great second chance romance and I loved the main characters. They had such a great chemistry even in the face of a complicated past. It felt like the story really supported them and their journey.
Although this is the third book in the series it can be read as a standalone. However, I would definitely recommend reading them all just because of how good they are. This book is intriguing, fast paced and exciting. I really did enjoy every second of it and cannot wait to read the next one.

This was such a good read – I really enjoyed it. I loved Marley and Max! Even though their first encounter was only the one night there did seem to be this instant and genuine connection between them. I loved the added suspense in the story this was great and definitely kept me guessing as to what was going to happen next in Marley and Max’s story. The author had a wonderful and engaging writing style that certainly kept my attention throughout. This is the first book that I have read by this author and I am certainly excited to read more from her in the future!

Yet again another wonderful read from this author! I loved Hunter and Selma! They were such wonderful characters to read about, there was just something about this book that made you want to keep reading long in to the night! It definitely had that can’t put down feel about because you just want to find out what is going to happen on the next page. The way in which the author writes she really does draw you into the story and the characters’ lives that in parts it felt a little bit like reality. I will admit this book is longer than your average read but it is so worth it in my opinion! Beautifully written with wonderful characters – a must read!!

We never know what we truly have until we lose it. That is never more apparent than reading this novel. My first by the author and will not be my last! I read this as a stand alone and I am not certain that it was intended so, however I didn’t feel lost or like I was missing something. I will definitely be going back to read volume one and two and anything else I can find by the author. She has an attention grabbing thrilling style of writing that pulls you right in and allows you to feel as if you’re front row to all the events and rollercoaster rides of her novel. I couldn’t put this book down, and when it finished I was so glad I held out because it was just so dang good!

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was a wonderful story of first love. Krysta (Krys) is Paxton (Tank) younger sister and she has had a crush on Kasper as long as she can remember. They both don’t want to cause friction with Paxton so they do nothing about this attraction until she turns 18. Kasper is jealous when Krys gets asked out by someone else. He can’t stand it and kisses Krys. Krysta is on cloud nine and falls fast and hard for him. The two spend months together in secret trying to decide when they should tell her brother.

This is where the story takes a twist or 2 or 3…the events that follow had me shocked.

This is a SHORT MUST READ. I absolutely loved the characters and Krysta’s bold attitude.

I really enjoyed the first book in this series so was excited to start on this book. This book was even better than the one prior. It ticked all of the boxes for me and I could not put it down once I had started reading. I loved the main characters. Their connection felt so real and believable. It drew me into the story and I just had to see their ending.
This is an author that I am only recently familiar with but I am enjoying what I see so far. This series has been a strong series and this book has easily been my favourite so far. I love discovering new authors and I cannot want to discover more from this one.

Hot Hot Hot! Hot and steamy this is a great book, 100% worth the read. A can’t put down book complete with lots of sexy scenes and an internal monologue between the main characters. I mean come on one night with no names who isn’t going to scoop that up, but can it only end with one night. Short and easy to read will keep you longing for more.

This was my first read of the series and it was good! At first I felt like the book was too fast paced, but it slowed down and got really good at the end. Max is such a lovable character. I’m not really into the surprise pregnancy troupe, but it was done very well in this book. Based on this book, I’m guessing each book is about different characters of the same friend group. I love books like that and will be reading book one and book two.

I have worked for 8 years in healthcare, and I LOVE when I find a great medical romance novel to read! Romance books are my absolute FAVORITES to read and this one just made my list for ones that are my go to list to reread when I cannot find another good one to read. The way the author wrote this story had me sitting on the edge of my seat. The absolute chemistry between the characters was written expertly and I was captivated. This was a very great read and I cannot wait to find more great books by this author to read! My friends will for sure be reading this one next as I cannot stop thinking about this book. The Hawke Family Complete CollectionThe Hawke Family Complete Collection by Gwyn McNamee
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the collection that is worth every page. When you begin each book, it’s impossible to put it down. Every story has its place within the series and adds a much needed element tying everything together. If you want drama, action, romance, suspense, and unpredictability it’s all there. There is someone for everyone and once your engrossed you will question how you waited so long.

This second collection of the series blew me away! I was more invested , involved, and edge every time I picked up my book.
Stone Sober was my absolute favorite. Sexy, intense, and erotic. Stone and Nora take you to unbelievable places.

Building Storm was emotional and heartfelt. I felt everything all in one with this emotional ride. As with her first collection it all tied in perfect.

Collection 3 I wanted to go on forever. I enjoyed every moment of my journey to the ending but did not want it to end. I felt each characters happiness, frustration, determination, adrenaline, and more. These characters became like family and the author deserves and applause for the amazing story she wove.

5 Big Fabulous Bright Stars!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I have to say I LOVE book 1 of this series but I LOVED with all my heart and soul this book 2 of the series! Marley and Max…….their story from beginning to end was wonderful…a spicy beginning with no attachments to long lost love’s finding their way back together.

Marley and Max met by chance on a beach…..after Marley departs from a wedding that she was part of due to not wanting no more part of it…..and meeting Max and some champagne and flirty banter it was an evening they both never forgot…even though they never knew each other’s name. Marley goes back to New York to her life as a event planner and Max goes back to Quimby Grove to his bar that he owns.

A few years later, just by some chance….Marley and Max meet again…under different circumstances and event planning for an upcoming wedding…and Marley now has to come clean to Max to becoming a parent that he was not aware of.

Between trying to figure out how they fit into each others lives and also trying to raise children together…..Marley and Max held a flame for each other since their night on the beach. As they are trying to piece everything together…in the beautiful town of Quimby Grove..someone or something is lurking in the shadows causing a bit of chaos of break ins and crime. Will Marley and Max be safe…..

I loved this story and totally devoured every page. I highly recommend reading book 1 as characters from book 1 are also tied into book 2. I am praying for another book to this series…

Salvatore is your mafia leader, focused on his family and the family business. After an attack on his family he has to make some tough calls to keep everyone safe and make sure everyone knows no one messes with the Larussio family. Adrianna is a doctor working at the Larussio resort and wants to find out which member of the Larussio family killer her father.

The story was interesting, there was conflict, drama, passion and tons of emotions but some of the language was repetitive, and the way some of the drama unfolded didn’t sit right with me.

Overall would still recommend and will be looking at reading the next book.

I absolutely loved this book. The character sucked me in and I truly wanted to keep reading. Kasper was very relatable, I think everyone made mistakes when they were young because they were scared. Those mistakes that we wish we could take back. I also loved Krystal. I think that their interactions were amazing. Kasper’s feelings when he sees Krystal be taken were absolutely palpable. I have to say this was a true page turner. I definitely recommend this one!

Night Hawke (The Hawke Family Second Generation #0.5)Night Hawke by Gwyn McNamee
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Night Hawke is a prequel to the Hawke Family Second Generation series. I have not read any of the others and it didn’t seem to matter. The author did a really good job of giving you just enough information to draw you in and keep you wanting more. The book was a little steamy for my liking. While I want to say that I won’t read anymore, that’s probably a lie. I’m pretty drawn in and want to know who these characters really are. So I will likely skim over those particular scenes, so I can continue the story. Both characters use fake names and very little detail is given about their lives. It is hinted at them both coming from pretty important families, and I want to know more about “Jack.” In reading the description of the next book, it makes me want to know that much more!

What a GREAT READ. This is the second book in the series about the residents of Quimby Grove and I cannot wait for the third that I can see coming.
After meeting Max in the previous book it was fantastic that he got his own story. We still follow Becket and Ellawyn as the story starts at their wedding. The three friends are really close it is lovely the way they all interact throughout each other’s stories. Book shops, Bars, Florists and Cake shops make Quimby Grove sound idyllic. Maybe not is all ir seems with some of the residents.
A true romantic at heart Max hunts for his beach princess every year since their hook up, he is blown away when his beach princess is his best friend’s wedding planner.
Marley brings with her twins and trouble when she stays in Quimby Grove. The town falls victim to arson, murder and kidnapping all together give this story all of the romance, heartache, mystery and suspense, make this another brilliant read.

Handle With Care (Chase Care Book 1) by R.L. Dunn – Review by Jennifer Gordon

Handle With Care (Chase Care Book 1)Handle With Care by R.L. Dunn
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A gripping medical romance suspense story which had me hooked from page one. Following the death of his partner Dr. Hunter Montgomery is promoted to Chief Medical Officer of Chase Care, in New Orleans. A face from his past, Dr. Selma Bryant, catches up with his present when she walks into his operating room. Selma has devoted most of her professional life to the US Army, even leaving the man she’s always loved, Hunter behind. However, Selma can’t stay with Hunter as she’s volunteered with Doctor’s Abroad at an African refugee camp.
Selma leaves with a secret, but having run from Hunter, she must deal with a deadly outbreak that is claiming the lives of refugees and volunteers. As the number of fatalities grow Hunter and the Chase Medical team are tasked with saving Selma and those in the camp. If Hunter and Selma survive the virus they might find their happily ever after together. This is a gripping story full of drama, tragedy, suspense and of course romance. The setting is brought vividly to life by the descriptive narrative and the characters are likeable and relatable. The chemistry between Selma and Hunter sizzle off the page, and I liked how their relationship developed throughout the storyline. An emotional rollercoaster of a read, but one which I definitely recommend.

Fear Inc: Volume 3 by Melinda Valentine. I am loving this series. They are books about different couples so they can be read as a standalone but I highly recommend reading them all. This one is about Kasper and Krysta. Kasper has always been a love them and leave them type of guy. One night stands are right up his alley. Krysta has been the exception, Krysta is Kasper’s best friends little sister and normally would be off limits so they kept their relationship a secret until one tiny mistake tore them apart and broke Krysta’s heart. Krysta feel like her job in life is to move on and hate Kasper with everything thing she is. In reality she is trying to mask the hurt and hide her feelings. Kasper has declared that he will get her back no matter what. Will Krysta ever let down her guard to let Kasper back in or will they both remain heartbroken?

In true RL Dunn fashion this book starts off with snippets of the lives of Hunter and Selma. Then you get into the present time and the action just starts unfolding. A spin off of the Chase Security series, the Chase Care series is proving to be just as full of suspense and romance as the other. I truly enjoyed following the story of Hunter and Selma and watching their story unfold. This book is full of detail and will keep you turning the pages to see what happens next and how they deal with what is thrown at them.

4 Stars

Fear Inc: Volume Three is the third book in the Fear Inc series by Melinda Valentine. This is a series of standalone contemporary romances, with each instalment focusing on a different couple. So, you really don’t need to have read the other books to enjoy this one. Having said that though, you might find that one taste won’t be enough- because once through the door at Fear Inc security, you might not want to leave- and will certainly want to know more about all the other people on the crew.
This is a second chance romantic suspense, with brother’s best friend/forbidden romance element. The story has plenty of tension, angst, drama, suspense, intrigue, danger, action, secrets, emotion, chemistry, and more.
Here we meet Kasper (Gutter Mouth) and Krysta. They have a bit of a complicated history that has caused much pain. The angst, tension, and chemistry between the two pulled me into the story as I needed to know more. They had a secret affair, but then decisions were made, and heartache ensues. But now that she has been taken, their secret will need to come to light if Kasper has any chance of getting her back. What happens here makes for an intriguing and action-packed read.
Looking forward to exploring the rest of the series.
Happy Reading…

Thank you, Melinda Valentine!

This is the second book to the Kingdom of the elf series. I did not read the first one to this series. But I have to say this book still didn’t disappoint. I will be going back and reading the first book thou, this book really made me want to. The characters were very well written that I didn’t feel the need like I was missing out on something when it was mentioned. It was so well written I did feel lost and confused. This book was very fast paced, that I just couldn’t read it fast enough to know what was going on and know what was going to happen next. This book took a hold of me and wouldn’t let me go till I was done reading. I will also be differently looking for the next book to this series. Very entertaining and enjoyable.

Handle With Care is the first book in the Chase Care series, which is a spin-off from the Chase Security series which is one of my favourite series. I was so glad to jump back into the Chase world and this certainly did not disappoint. Far, far from it!
When reviewing a book like this, I realise that I give to many 5 star ratings. By this I mean that this book is so good that I feel that it deserves more than the 5 stars I’m allowed to give it.
At over 500 pages, this is not a short read, but in all honesty I could have read another 500 pages of this story. I was totally engrossed in this book and hated having to put it down to go back to the ‘real’ world.
Hunter and Selma are 2 fascinating characters among a large cast of characters, many of whom I loved and others I hated. Hunter and Selma’s story is so much more than a romance story. This story has soooo much drama. It really is edge of your seat, heart in your mouth reading as characters lives are hanging on by the thinnest of threads.
This is a book that I know I will read again and I can’t wait for more in this series.

This is the 3rd book in the series and it can be read as a standalone. However I enjoyed this book so much I will definstely be going back to read the other books in the series.
This is a short read but it is full of chemistry, attraction, danger, and heartbreak so you learn about this couples past and their present.

But that is in the past. 1 stupid mistake by Kasper ended their love and destroyed Krysta in the process.

Now Krysta is trying to move on with her life and maybe settle down, however Kasper isn’t prepared to let her go and wants a second chance but is it too little too late.
When Krysta is taken Kasper is now faced with the fear of losing the woman he loves for a second time and this time in a more permanent way.
Will Kasper find Krysta in time and make up for his past mistakes? Or will it ne too little too late? One things for sure he’s determined to not give up until he has her back where she belongs. Safe and in his arms.

This entire collection is a really great series to read! You start with learning a bit about the main characters in this family, the lust that drives them, and SO many crazy secrets! If there is one thing each member of each story is known for it is the secrets they fail to keep! The author does her job of making the reader invest in the lives of each character in the series, but within each book drawing a focus on the leads. It makes for interesting reading time, and the ending of the collection will have you shocked and ready for more!

Steele Resolve (Hawke Family #6)Steele Resolve by Gwyn McNamee
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The author has given yet ANOTHER layer of complexity to this Hawke family, and I was in shock by the end of book 6! This was one of the best of the series in this collection, and it is only a novella! We learn about the boss, Steele, and how he has an amazing night with this guy, Byron. Of course, the secrets of his involvement in the mafia, and Byron’s connection to the Hawke family get Steele pressed into a corner. It always seems that these incredibly steamy romances cause the main character of the story to have a dangerous decision to make! You will be thoroughly surprised at the craftiness of the author once you hit the ending! Do not forget to read all of the other books in the collection! I hit my aha moment a few times once i concluded the series!
