This is the 3rd book in the series and it can be read as a standalone. However I enjoyed this book so much I will definstely be going back to read the other books in the series.
This is a short read but it is full of chemistry, attraction, danger, and heartbreak so you learn about this couples past and their present.

But that is in the past. 1 stupid mistake by Kasper ended their love and destroyed Krysta in the process.

Now Krysta is trying to move on with her life and maybe settle down, however Kasper isn’t prepared to let her go and wants a second chance but is it too little too late.
When Krysta is taken Kasper is now faced with the fear of losing the woman he loves for a second time and this time in a more permanent way.
Will Kasper find Krysta in time and make up for his past mistakes? Or will it ne too little too late? One things for sure he’s determined to not give up until he has her back where she belongs. Safe and in his arms.

The Hawke Family Complete CollectionThe Hawke Family Complete Collection by Gwyn McNamee
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This entire collection is a really great series to read! You start with learning a bit about the main characters in this family, the lust that drives them, and SO many crazy secrets! If there is one thing each member of each story is known for it is the secrets they fail to keep! The author does her job of making the reader invest in the lives of each character in the series, but within each book drawing a focus on the leads. It makes for interesting reading time, and the ending of the collection will have you shocked and ready for more!

Steele Resolve by Gwyn McNamee – Review by Ashley McMillon

Steele Resolve (Hawke Family #6)Steele Resolve by Gwyn McNamee
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The author has given yet ANOTHER layer of complexity to this Hawke family, and I was in shock by the end of book 6! This was one of the best of the series in this collection, and it is only a novella! We learn about the boss, Steele, and how he has an amazing night with this guy, Byron. Of course, the secrets of his involvement in the mafia, and Byron’s connection to the Hawke family get Steele pressed into a corner. It always seems that these incredibly steamy romances cause the main character of the story to have a dangerous decision to make! You will be thoroughly surprised at the craftiness of the author once you hit the ending! Do not forget to read all of the other books in the collection! I hit my aha moment a few times once i concluded the series!

The Hawke Family Complete Collection by Gwyn McNamee – Review by Barbie England

The Hawke Family Complete CollectionThe Hawke Family Complete Collection by Gwyn McNamee
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is a collection of the six books in The Hawke Family series. Each of them have a unique, but still interconnected story. They need to be read in order. The Hawke family is made up of biological siblings with their partners; also it has members who are adopted in the sense of a found family. They are fiercely loyal to each other, and always focused on the best interests of each individual. Sometimes this leads to angst within the characters who struggle with knowing the choice they want to make might not be what the family members want them to choose. Ms. McNamee does an excellent job of not only building suspense into each book, but also creating a consistent world within. By the time I reached the end of each story, all the questions I had were answered. There is good representation of a person with different abilities. Contained within book 3 are some BDSM descriptions. Of course all of the storyline is awesome, but Ms. McNamee also gets an A+ rating for the spicy parts. The explicit descriptions were just perfection!

Handle With Care (Chase Care Book 1) by R.L. Dunn – Review by Angela Shirley

Handle With Care (Chase Care Book 1)Handle With Care by R.L. Dunn
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Dr Hunter Montgomery is heart broken and lost, losing a partner is always hard so when he is promoted in Chase Care to Chief Medical Office, he throws all he has at it, it becomes his life until one night in she comes throwing him off balance and re-evaluating his priorities.

Dr Selma Bryant sees him across the room, the guy who she has loved for years but the timing could not be the worst. Selma has agreed to take an assignment in Africa with Doctors without borders to help the current pandemic which is in full swing there but can she help reduce the virus without anything happening to her.

As things get hairy and Hunter and the team make there way to Africa to help, can they save the camp and Dr Bryant?

I love this author and her brilliant writing and character development. This is a spin off series from Chase Security and although this can be read as a stand-alone series, some characters and history maybe useful from reading the Chase Security but not essential.

I loved that the first book is Hunter’s stories, the way the story develops and unwinds is brilliant to read and will have you turning the pages to see what happens next in this thrilling book. Selma is a perfect Ying to Hunter’s character, and they compliment each other brilliantly, also with their back story you fell like you are in the story and following as a friend rather than a reader.

The twist and turns in this well written story will have you up wanting to read the next chapter and before you know it you are at the end of the book and in a huge emotional wreak. Thank you for adding this series to the Chase family and can’t wait to read more in the future.

Night Hawke (The Hawke Family Second Generation #0.5)Night Hawke by Gwyn McNamee
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

My first time reading anything by this author definitely did not disappoint! I was sucked in almost immediately by this prequel. A quick easy read that kept me wanting more! I hate cliffhangers but knowing this is a prequel I was prepared for it, and I absolutely cannot wait to read more of “Jack” and “Nolan’s” story! Jack and Nolan meet in a dive bar, somewhere Jack doesn’t look like she belongs. Things turn hot fast and neither seems to want to deny or admit what they are feeling, after all it was only supposed to be one night. I will definitely be preordering the first book in the series and reading all her previous books!

The Hawke Family Complete Collection by Gwyn McNamee – Review by Nicole Thompson

I was fortunate enough to experience The Hawke Family Complete Collection by Gwen McNamee, comprising Savage Collision, Tortured Skye, Stone Sober, Building Storm, Tainted Saint, and Steele Resolve. These stories progressed even more impressively as I continued to read. It was a riveting series that had me absolutely hooked, with family drama, intricate relationships, and unexpected twists at every turn. To gain a full appreciation of the intertwined plot line, it is essential to have read all of the preceding volumes in the series.

For those curious, a brief synopsis of each book is provided here:

Savage Collision – Not the usual type of romance, this book offers a thrilling combination of suspense and danger which, coupled with an astounding plot twist, demonstrates the meaning of genuine affection and understanding. But I won’t spoil it here – read it to find out more!

Tortured Skye – With love, drama, laughs, tears, and of course some truly captivating sex scenes, this book was one I simply couldn’t put down. From the moment I opened it, the dynamic between Gabe and Skye had me glued to the pages, waiting in anticipation to see what was coming next. If you haven’t yet read Savage Collision, I highly recommend it so you can properly experience this fascinating story.

Stone Sober – A stunning five-star read, the saga of Stone Hawke’s private challenges. Neither of them can avoid the enchantment they feel for each other, no matter how hard they try. There’s even more that takes place. This book is immensely captivating, brimmed with thrilling actions, and enigmas that can break apart relationships. It was extraordinarily gripping! Gwyn possesses the remarkable power of pulling her readers into the story. She brings you into their world and family in such a vivid manner that it’s almost like being a witness to the events firsthand.

Building Storm – I am endlessly astonished by the remarkable ability of authors to continually create stories of such exquisite quality and complexity, repeatedly. An indomitable attraction binds the characters to one another, but their relationship is nothing more than a mental and emotional connection. I’m enthralled by the way they attempt to deceive us. Even though they deny it, they will ultimately discover the contentment they both seek. I will never allow it to be any other way! The more they resist, the more inescapable the outcome.

Tainted Saint – This love story is so engrossing, it’s almost as if I can feel the heat coming off the page while reading the exchanges between the characters! I am utterly captivated by this family’s tale and the way it concluded has left me yearning for more. As with the prior novels, there are some highly sensual moments and an unwavering emotional core.

Steele Resolve – It would be an immense mistake to not read these stories in sequence; they are simply that outstanding! It’s like a flower, the individual petals being captivating and compelling, but together creating something majestic. This tale is a profoundly affecting romance between two men, but its impact transcends physical attraction; its message lingers long after the final page has been turned. It’s an adventure that will keep you entertained and enriched.

This book is amazing! I love that you can jump straight into the next book without having to go buy the next one or find it in the kindle store. If you love series that all blend together and you hate having to find the next one this is an amazing option to read all of their stories.

This book has family drama, relationships of all different types, and twists you will not see coming. Once you think you know everything about one of the stories, there’s a twist. If you are looking for a series that keeps you on your toes and is hard to put down this is the book.

The heart of all of these stories is the importance of family. If you like close families that like to know everything that is happening in each other lives. Definitely read this book. Can love and family conquer all? Read to find out.

Fear Inc.: Volume ThreeFear Inc.: Volume Three by Melinda Valentine
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Love the cover, simple yet effective or maybe it’s just the model and lighting. This is the third book and it is a standalone. These books centres on the men who work at a security firm Fear Inc. What more could you ask for with a best friend’s sister, frenemies to lovers, close proximity, second chance romance trope.
This is Kasper “Gutter Mouth” and Krysta’s story where the chemistry is sizzling hot but not before all the angst and pain has poured out.
He threw her away. He broke her. She can’t stand him for all the hurt he has caused or does she? She was nothing more than a dirty little secret. Well she doesn’t need him. Now it was suddenly all too late.
He doesn’t do love. They all know the score. He drops them like hot cakes and moves on. He can be an ar%ehole. Until HER but he threw her away and he broke HER. Now his worst nightmare was happening right in front of him and he can’t do anything to stop it. All he knows is that he will stop at nothing to get her back.
It is a quick and easy read that is action packed and one that has you wanting more.

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I’ve read a couple other books by this author but as a nurse that loves military and medical themes, I couldn’t pass up this book. It’s the first in a series that follows the main characters Hunter and Selma. It’s longer than a lot of books I read but overall, it kept my attention from start to finish. There were parts that reminded me of a military/medical show I used to watch a couple years ago while still feeling unique and not a “rip off” of something else. There were a couple times I found myself frustrated with the characters, specifically Selma but overall, they were likable. I do like that this is part of a series and I will read more from the author.

Handle with Care is the first book in the Chase Care series by R.L Dunn. I have read all of the previous series and loved them. I was not disappointed by this book. Hunter and Selma are deeply in love after getting a second chance with each other later in life. When Selma has a sudden surprise she flees to Africa as part of a relief effort but she is not aware of the danger she will be in. This is a fantastic book, fast paced, exciting and full of intrigue. I thoroughly enjoyed it and cannot wait until book 2 comes out. I recommend to fans of romantic suspense.

Chasing Redemption (Quimby Grove #2)Chasing Redemption by Shannon Nikole
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Chasing Redemption is the 2nd book in the Quimby Grove series. It can be read as a standalone book, but reading the first book with help give you a better feel for the town and the supporting characters. Five years ago, Max and Marley ‘met’ on a beach and then parted ways until now. Marley interrupts Max’s life with shocking news and both of their lives are suddenly altered in ways they could have only imagined. Chasing Redemption is a sweet story about reconnecting with those we lost and finding family in the most unlikely ways. Once again, the town was its own character and makes it hard to not love the place. I hope this series continues and we get a chance to look more into Avery’s story.

Six books in this amazing collection, and every book was better than the last. Needless to say after reading the first book in this collection I was thrilled that I had five more to read. Full of the mob, romance, suspense and of course murder I just simply couldn’t put this collection of books down. While each book is completely different from the previous one, the characters all play strong roles in the whole collection. I will state that when I first picked up this collection it was because of the breath taking front cover. But upon reading the first chapter I knew right away I was in for an amazing ride. So if you’re looking for your next read make sure you pick this one up today.

Chasing Redemption
By: Shannon Nikole

This is the second book in the Quimby Grove Series. While, it is not necessary to have read the first and it does act as a stand alone, many of the characters are from the first book in the series and it does sort of help to have read the first book. I truly enjoyed this story and the characters. I liked the addition of Marley and thought that her interactions with Max were so amazing. I also thought that this was such a relatable story. I truly love Quimby Grove and cannot wait for more of the characters and this wonderful small town. I wish that there were real Quimby Grove and Starlight books. I would love to visit them. These wonderful characters are becoming something that I really love to read about. I also love that this features a suspense element. The crimes that were occuring while Max and Marley were trying to figure out their lives really kept me wanting to read on. I really wanted to keep reading but I also didn’t want the story to end! I absolutely love Quimby Grove and recommend it to anyone!

Chasing Redemption (The Quimby Grove Series Book 2) by Shannon Nikole – Review by Jennifer Gordon

Chasing Redemption (Quimby Grove #2)Chasing Redemption by Shannon Nikole
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I thoroughly enjoyed being back in the small town world of Quimby Grove, and having loved the first book in this series I was looking forward to reading this story, and I was not disappointed. Marley and Max are strangers when they meet at the beach and have a one night stand, and having not even told each other their names they have no way of finding one another again. Marley works as an event planner in New York City and is a single mother to twins, a reminder of her night with Max. When Marley has to go to Quimby Grove to plan a wedding she did not expect to come face to face with Max. Max is just as shocked to find the woman, his one that got away, at his best friend’s wedding.
Marley has to explain to Max that he’s a father, and he’s determined to get Marley to stay in town. Just as they are navigating parenthood together, an unusual string of crimes are committed in Quimby Grove and Marley appears to be in the middle of them all. This is an enjoyable and engaging second chance at romance story, with enough drama and suspense to keep me hooked. The author does a great job of bringing the setting to life and the small town feeling really comes across in the narrative. Marley and Max are likeable and relatable characters and their chemistry came across in the writing. I look forward to returning to Quimby Grove again!

Chasing Redemption (The Quimby Grove Series Book 2) by Shannon Nikole – Review by Karyn Taylor

Chasing Redemption (Quimby Grove #2)Chasing Redemption by Shannon Nikole
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the 2nd book in the Quimby Grove Series. It’s a really great small town, second chance, romantic suspense novel. It can be read as a standalone but as the main characters from the first book play quite a large role in this book, I’d say, if you are going to read both books, then read them in order to get the best experience.
A memorable one night stand, if you can call their frantic coupling on the beach a one night stand, totally changes the lives of Max Quinn and Marley Halligan. A chance meeting at Max’s best friend’s wedding where Marley is working as a wedding planner brings the 2 back into each other’s lives. Can they rekindle the spark that they had that fateful night on the beach? Can Max handle the shock that he is father to awesome 4 year old twins?
I absolutely adored reading Max and Marley’s story. Max as a dad is totally swoonworthy. I loved reading his interactions with the adorable Izzy and Jaz who were such scene stealers.
With this being a romantic suspense, the added bonus of the danger, drama and intrigue, really added to the entertainment factor of this book. I was really hooked on the story and did not want to put this book down.
I really hope we get more from this series and with the little snippets we got from Avery and Kennon, I’m hoping they are next

Chasing Redemption (Quimby Grove #2)Chasing Redemption by Shannon Nikole
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Chasing Redemption is the second book in the Quimby Grove series. I really enjoyed the first book which was her debut book and this one did not disappoint either. This is Max and Marley’s story. Of the two this is my favourite story. I love a story told in a dual/multiple POV because your understanding of the characters is so much clearer.
It is easy to escape in this romantic suspense story and in to the small town of Quimby Grove where one night changed it all. Now everything is turned upside down. It is a suspenseful quick read that is also heartfelt and fun. As with the first book it will warm your heart, but also have it pumping at times, have you laughing out loud and make your heartache and bring out all the feels.
With one hot mess, a crazy ex, revenge, a string of escalating crimes, a super surprise from a super sexy one night stand, longing and wondering and so much more you will fall in love with the people of this small town. Oh and let’s not forget the BFF who asks for too much.

I love how fiesty Marley is. After having to plan and attend her best friends wedding to her ex she was broken but she still had enough of a spark to leave a parting shot in her speech which made me feel like cheering for her.
This event led her to the chance meeting with Max and it would be a night neither of them would forget and it would change their lives forever.
But it was just a one night stand right? No names were exchanged and there was no way for them to contact each other again. So imagine Marley’s surprise when years later she bumps into Max again at a wedding she’s planning. But that isn’t the only surprise in story as Marley has a big surprise of her own.
Can they finally get their happy ever after? Will Marley’s secret make them stronger or destroy them before they begin? And when a series of crimes start to happen in Quimby Grove will it be too much for the couple to endure?

This story is full of twists and turns, moments of fun and laughter and just as much emotional turmoil which makes this a read emotive romance to read
