Ellie Waters, Moon Harbor’s favorite jewelry maker, has a huge crush on her brother’s best friend. She has pined over him since she was a teenager but now she is adult and knows what she wants. What she wants is Raf, a hunky fisherman with a secret past. Things are all going well until someone from Raf’s past shows up and things start to take a turn. Buried secrets become out in the open and Ellie is in danger. This love story was sweet, simple, and has a dark twist. Will the danger in Moon Harbor keep them from being together or will it bring them closer?

This book is incredible. I love the action, the suspense, and the family drama. Toss in the wolves, drageur and a few other goodies and the fun just doesn’t stop. The characters are well-written. I loved how it felt like it just picked up from the previous novel. The deception scattered throughout to the suspense just makes this such an entertaining fantasy novel. You can find almost anything you want in this story as you follow the elves on their journey. That ending! Loved it! Looking forward to the third book in the series.

Into the Light is the third book in the Moon Harbor Series by Kate McWilliams. I have come into this series a little backwards because I grabbed a copy of this without realising it’s Book Three in the series…. But luckily, it can be read as a standalone, and didn’t make me feel like I was missing anything by not having read the previous books first. Having said that though, I really enjoyed the story, and I would love to know more about the other characters, so I will be going back to read the previous two books before continuing with the series.
This is an emotional and steamy romantic suspense. A forbidden romance with a ‘brother’s best friend/best friend’s little sister’ element, sweet and tender moments, intrigue, dramatic developments, a swoon-worthy leading man, dirty talk, a little mysteriousness, and more.
Raf and Ellie were so easy to like, and I soon found myself completely invested in them and the outcome of their story. I like the suspense/mystery element, it was really well done and cleverly choreographed by Ms. McWilliams. She definitely kept me completely engrossed the whole way through. Although the last part of the book did feel somewhat rushed, but thankfully that didn’t detract too much from my overall enjoyment of the book.
I am looking forward to exploring the rest of the series.
Happy Reading!

Thank you, Kate McWilliams!

Rafael has a secret he’s keeping from all of his friends. He thinks he’s cursed because when he gets close to someone they end up hurt. Since coming to Moon Harbor, he is known as quiet and reliable but he’s worried that if they knew, they’d think differently.

Ellie Waters is over being treated like a doll. She wants to love life how she wants and what she wants is Rafael. She’s all grown up now, but can’t seem to figure out if Raf sees her as more than his best friends little sister.

Soon RAF and Ellie can’t keep away from each other and they fall into the teeming romance that’s been hovering between them, but Raf’s past soon rises and threatens everything they’re building. Moon Harbor and Ellie are both at risk with all kinds of trouble coming for Rafael.

I found this short book to be a fun read with some twists I wasn’t expecting. It was sweet where it needed to be and suspenseful when it mattered. I definitely didn’t want to put it down! I’m hopeful that the other titles in the Moon Harbor series are just as fun, because I will definitely need more from this sweet town. My only complaint is how fast it was over!

This book had it all! Mystery, suspense, danger, forbidden romance. What more could you ask for! This was well written and is book 3 of a series called Moon Harbour. Side note… I did not read any others so I am not sure if they act as standalone or if I was missing anything but I felt like I wasn’t lost while reading it! It was well written with great flow and characters and I was on the edge of my seat hanging onto every word right to the very end! I loved this story and it fit right into my wheelhouse!

This was a great 5 star read.
Kylee comes across a very familiar face while on patrol. She is determined to have him charged to prove a point but it backfires on her. This is a man that she had crushed on in school and he had left her hurt and embarrassed.
Jayson had made some bad choices in high school, and he also had feelings for Kylee. Now that he has seen her again he pursues Kylee relentlessly, will she give in to him again or keep him at arms length? Can Kylee get past the choices that Jayson has made in his life?

Overall this was a great read, I really liked both characters we get dual POV which I love. Although Jayson did anger me a little here and there. The author does a great job with her writing and I look forward to reading more from her. 1-click and get started today. .

This was a really good book! I wasn’t sure what to expect going in honestly, and I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked this one! Especially since this is the 3rd book in a series. And while there a few references brought up that really makes me want to go read the first 2 books, this read like a perfect standalone. It had everything I love in a book. There was romance (the spice was definitely present in this book), humor, tension, mystery and suspense. This was also a quick read and I finished it relatively quickly. I can’t wait to read more from this series and especially this author in the future!

While I did enjoy the story of Raf and Elle I found myself a bit frustrated with how they danced around one another. Raf believes that he is cursed due to something that happened in his past. Elle is also the little sister of one of his best friends. Having grown up in a rough neighborhood and then pulling himself out of that area, Raf has not only made a decent living working on a boat, but he has also made a life for himself in Moon Harbor. When it finally comes time that Raf can’t hold in his feelings anymore his past comes back to haunt him. Someone is after Elle but she doesn’t know who it is or why. When Raf is framed for the murder of one of his former friends Elle is unsure whether or not to believe him. Why is someone trying to frame Raf for something he surely didn’t do? Is the murdered friend connected to the guy that has been following Elle? This book will keep you turning the pages just to see if Raf and Elle get their HEA and whether or not they catch the person who is behind the tragedy that occurred in what was once a safe town.

I enjoyed reading this suspenseful romance story. This is the third book in this series which can be read as a standalone but I recommend reading the rest of the series. I enjoyed how the author used details to pull me into the story and made it realistic. This is a well written story where the characters bring a lot of heart and soul to the story. They are connectable, strong and they had me coming back for more. I enjoyed watching their growth and chemistry throughout. This is a hard to put down story that had me turning pages fast. What happens in this story you don’t want to miss. I really enjoyed reading this entertaining story. I highly recommend this book.

This is a book that is all about the characters, with the story secondary to this. The connection between the two main characters is palpable on each and every page and I loved reading about their journey. They are exactly what they each need and it was so nice to be able to experience it with them.
The book is quite a quick and easy read, entertaining the whole way through. At times I thought it could have done with just a little more depth to it but the characters more than made up for this to me. This is a great read and I will definitely be reading more of this series.

Raf and Ellie. Oh, my heart. I loved this story. Raf is so protective of her and it kills me how they don’t communicate but it’s understandable, about their feelings for one another. The suspense from Raf’s past and the dilemma with his friend from that time. He’s a new man and Ellie loves him and trusts him. I like how it’s set in a small town as well and everyone knows everyone. This book was funny and had a good twist to it.

Into the Light is such a sweet and forbidden romance! But don’t be fooled because it has plenty of action, both steamy and suspenseful! I love Ellie and Rafael’s story with all the twists and turns.

Ellie is an incredibly hard worker, and she refuses to let herself be egotistical about her business doing well. She knows that one wrong move can make all the difference and end her dream job. When she isn’t thinking about work, she is daydreaming about her long-time crush, Rafael. Raf is also her brother’s best friend who sees her as a little sister. Except he doesn’t. Rafael is finally tempting fate with telling Ellie how he feels about her, but he fears his past catching up to him. In his eyes he’s still a no-good danger, and he refuses to let anyone, especially Ellie, get hurt because of him. Will they live happily ever after, or will they take their undying love to their graves?

There is so much to love about this book, and I am soon going to read it again! The suspense had me gripping the book throughout the entire story! It caught me off guard multiple times. I enjoyed the steamy scenes as well as Kate McWilliams knows how to write romance without seeming cliché. You don’t want to miss this!

I simply loved this book and all that the author gave within their writing. The story came together quite nicely, and the characters were very connectable. I could not have asked for more It was a first time author for me, and this journey is certainly not my last! Very impressive and enjoyable writing!

I loved the small town romance of this book. Loved Ellie being the independent person she was, ans loved Raf wanting nothing more than to care and provide for her. The romance was not just thrown in your face, it was worked for. There was so much more to this wonderful story that meets the eye. I will for sure be visiting this town to read about Ellie and Raf. I very much enjoyed the author’s writing style. It was a wonderful and good read that sticks with you after you finish! Very much enjoyed it and loved it!

I must say, this book was more wonderful than I expected. I was in love with it from the beginning, but the more I read, the more I got hooked. Highly recommend! Not one to be passed up for any means!

I really enjoyed this story and the romance between Raf and Ellie was so romantic and steamy. The author does an amazing job with the characters. Making them both relatable and also giving them back stories that make them feel like old friends. I love the friendship dynamic between them and also how their love for one another goes by hidden. Neither of them knowing how the other feels and both of them too scared to take the leap of faith. The author’s writing is beautiful and the way the characters express their feelings is really what makes this story unique and beautiful to read. It gives the characters so much more depth and feeling which as a reader makes you more invested in their story

Raf is a hardworking man. He’s spent his life trying to make up for something that happened in his past. And it’s this very incident that makes him feel unworthy of the love of a woman like Ellie. No matter how much he wants her, he can’t have her. Even though not having her is killing him.

Ellie is a strong and independent woman. She is very fiesty and can take care of herself. So when the man she loves Raf tries to be overprotective off her and treat her like a sister, she sees red.
Why can’t he see her for the woman she I’d instead of his best friends little sister?
Why can’t he love and want her the way she wants him?

The connection between them is explosive and the chemistry is so hot. Will they ever give in to their feelings and finally be together like they want? Or will things, circumstances and people keep them denying their feelings out of fear of the past and fear of rejection?

What a sweet romance! Yes, there is a mystery involved in this story that is quite interesting but Rafe and El have their own interesting tale. Second chance love is my favorite. These two have had feelings for each other for a long time but he is her brother’s best friend. The sweetness, tenderness, yet gritty drama makes for an intense, page-turning story. I was engaged from the start and had to keep going until I was done. The characters felt so real. They reminded me of people I have met and come across. Contemporary and fresh writing, along with their sexy, flirty banter, makes this one of my favorites. Well done, author.

Kate McWilliams brings to life the story of Ellie and Raf. Ellie is living her dream, running her jewelry shop in a quiet town. Raf has a past, which he keeps hidden from his friends. When Raf’s past catches up with him, Ellie decides to try to move on. As they forge their paths in life, not connecting in a way Ellie would like, there’s someone in the shadows. Are they watching Ellie or just a tourist in a tourist town?
This book is romantic and suspenseful. I did not realize when I read it that it was part of a series, but it was written so well, that it didn’t matter that I hadn’t read the others. The tension the author builds between the characters is spot on. I would 100% recommend reading this book.

The point of view switches back and forth and I didn’t love that, so I’m giving a 4 instead of a 5.
The story though was great! Two very different characters in two different worlds come together! From the beginning it’s pretty easy to root for the two of them but as the story carries on, you root for them even more!
This book was face paced, with a few twists, filled with drama, but ultimately leads to a happy ending!

A Love RestrainedA Love Restrained by Becky Flade
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A Love Restrained is a contemporary, suspense romance about two people who had a short highschool history together, but find each other again years later. Kylee Parker is a Philadelphia police officer who loves her job. While observing the streets, she sees a drug deal go down and chases down the dealer. While she is trying to arrest him, she recognizes that voice, Jayson Donovan, the boy who broke her heart in highschool. Jayson is quite excited to be getting arrested by her, because what she doesn’t know is that he had always had a thing for her and the fact that her heart was broken was a lot of misunderstandings. Jayson was abused and had a rough home life, but he did have a savior! After being arrested by Kylee, Donovan sees this as his chance to make amends and go after what he has always wanted, so he sends her different plants and flowers, with a note asking her to dinner. Kylee is cautious but can’t seem to eventually keep saying no. That original yes turns into the two of them dating and falling for each other. However, Donovan’s past is sad, complicated, and his present seems to go against all of her morals. Can all of his past and the secrets of his present continue in their relationship or will it eventually ruin this beautiful love story?
I really enjoyed this story. As a person who works in the field of psychology, it was great to see just how much love, even from strangers, can change the course of someone’s life within this story. I thought the flow of the story made you feel like you were walking through their life. While on this “walk”, you could feel all the things they were going through, the ups, the downs, the love, the secrets, etc. However, at no point in time did I ever not like one of the main characters, even through the hardship. Just the way the information was presented you felt like something was going on you couldn’t put your finger on, but knew it would work out in the end (I am not really sure why, it has been a while since I felt that in a book). You truly feel for each of these characters at all the twists and turns that the story takes you on. I was actually pretty surprised, in some sense, about how the story turned out.

This book was a page turner. Kylee Parker is a strong woman; dedicated to her job on the police force. Jayson Donovan, works for the wrong people, a drug peddling mobster. Under normal circumstances, these two probably wouldn’t meet; but fate has other ideas.

I enjoyed reading this book, the chemistry between the characters builds as does their romance.

Becky Flade has written a wonderful story that brings these two together, and while they try to navigate a relationship, will Jayson’s secrets and her vulnerability truly tear them apart?

Fast forward a few years and the pair apparently find themselves on opposite sides of the legal system but unable to stay away. When a threat tears them apart, it is a shock for both of them when they meet again and things are not the same as they were. This was a fast paced book, split into three distinct parts. I was a little thrown by the POV swapping between 3rd and 1st person – it took a little bit to get used to it and for the majority I kind of ignored it.

This is a romantic suspense with twists and turns. This story has love, romance, danger, deceit and family. Kylee and Jayson go through a lot of ups and downs in their relationship. As I was reading I felt the emotions along with the characters. There were some moments that were a little confusing because of the writing style but as soon as I figured out what the author was doing I was able to move on without any more confusion, overall I thought this was a very good read.

Omg!! This was the first book I have read by this author and let me tell you if you are looking for a steamy series this is the one for you!! I could not put the book down. This is the second book in the series but you can read it as a stand-alone. With that being said I am going back to read the first book to the series.
Callie and Grant haven’t had the best childhood but when it came right down to it Grant stepped up to take plate to take care of his little sister Callie. When the opportunity came for Grant to open his own PI business with a silent partner funding the company.
Callie and her friends decide to have a little fun at the local adult club Callie had no idea she would end up seeing the man who has occupied her dreams for the last six years. When Noah locks eyes with Callie he can’t take his eyes off her. He knows he should turn away from his best friend’s little sister but he can’t help it! He finds it very hot that she is enjoying herself while watching him enjoy himself. But could this mean she has the hots for him?
When Callie gets attacked on campus and Grant finally is getting to take his honeymoon, can he trust his best friend Noah to keep her safe while resisting the temptation that has been growing between them for six years?
I can not rave about this book enough!! It was absolutely phenomenal.
