Witch Switch (Bewitch Me Book 2) by Louisa Bacio

Cheyenne and Rafe are in love. Unfortunately, Rafe has been promised to Meredith, another witch. Although he is willing to break it off, they will also have Rafe’s family to contend with. But, they believe their love is worth it. When Meredith starts playing dirty, Cheyenne wishes her powers would return to so she could defeat her on her own. But, when Cheyenne gets some test results back…she will learn that love and family can be stronger than even magic.

This was a pretty quick read that I was able to finish in one sitting. But…there was a lot happening in so few pages. I was engaged with the story from beginning to end and found myself invested in the characters and their outcome. Overall, a good story.

Angelina is a human living a normal life…if you don’t count the H-O-T dreams she is having about two guys at night. Her life is turned upside down when she finds herself in danger…and those two same guys show up to save her. Imagine her surprise when she finds out that she is the mate of both of these vampire/angel hybrids.
Salvatore and Luca will become even stronger when they bond with Angelina…which is why there are forces out to stop it from happening. And if it doesn’t happen…then the world as they know it will cease to exist. When Angelina is forced to make the decision that will determine the course of the world…what will she do?!?
This was such a good book. It is a twist on the normal fated mates book by adding a second mate and all the different characters determined to keep it from happening. I was entertained the whole way through…and am excited to see what happens next!

Reigning Hearts: The Complete Series (Books 1-5) by KG Fletcher – Review by Rosanna Ingram

Reigning Hearts: The Complete Series (Books 1-5)Reigning Hearts: The Complete Series by K.G. Fletcher
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

If you are a fan of small-town romances…then this is the series for you. Each book centers around a different couple but they all have that small-town, not really looking for love but finding it anyway, nothing stays secret in a small-town kind of vibe.

Each story is, however, unique and warms your heart in its own special way. There are rockstars, single dads, matchmakers, pub owners…all sorts of characters to fall in love with.

This author quickly became one of my “go-to” authors after reading my first book in the series…and I always look forward to what is next!

Blood & Ravens (The Casket Girls Series Book 1) by A.D. Brazeau – Review by Rosanna Ingram

Blood & Ravens: A dark, paranormal romance (The Casket Girls Book 1)Blood & Ravens: A dark, paranormal romance by A.D. Brazeau
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is not your typical vampire paranormal story…it’s so much more…and so very good!
One minute Greer is in France…the next she is on a boat with other young women. She has no idea how she got to be there or how much time has passed. She soon finds they are on their way to New Orleans. There she will be married off to a man she has never met. However, as soon as they arrive, she can tell there is more going on that they are telling her and she is determined to figure it out.
Enter Theron. He has been sentenced to spending his exile roaming as a vampire. He finds himself drawn to Greer. The connection between the two is a surprise to both of them…but also a force to be reckoned with. Together, they will fight all the forces against them (and there are quite a few), while trying to figure out what’s really going on with the casket girls. But, are they in too deep over their heads?
This book kept my attention from the very beginning. I found myself ignoring the world around me as I was pulled deeper into the world of the story. I didn’t know which way the story was going to go…or what is going to happen next! I will be awaiting the next book with much anticipation!

The Last Cabin Girl (Detective Josie Thompson Series) by Tom Swyers – Review by Rosanna Ingram

The Last Cabin Girl: A totally gripping thriller full of twistsThe Last Cabin Girl: A totally gripping thriller full of twists by Tom Swyers
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Josie is a mother of two that is trying to get away from her abusive ex-husband and the small town she lives in. However, before she can get away from everything, she finds herself charged with murder as bodies are being discovered near the isolated cabin that she is staying in.

Out on bail, she is determined to clear her name. However, with her past, family secrets, a psychotic ex-husband, and a pandemic…it is not going to be easy. Can she clear her name before it’s too late?!?
To say there are some twists and turns in this book is putting it lightly. It pulled me in from the first page and I was never quite certain which way it was going to go…and I sure didn’t see the end coming.

I enjoyed Josie’s character. Trying to protect her children while figuring out what is really going on, and who she can trust, tugged on my maternal heartstrings. She is complex character with real-life problems that are compounded with a ticking clock that is running out of time. I went into this book with just reading the blurb…and I think everyone else should. It is such a good story that just diving in is the way to go…you won’t be disappointed!

Saving Marvel (Satan’s Devils MC Second Generation #4) by Manda Mellett – Review by Rosanna Ingram

Saving Marvel (Satan's Devils MC Second Generation Book 4)Saving Marvel by Manda Mellett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Marvel and Virginia’s story will pull you in from the very beginning. They both find themselves in a very scary situation that they are not sure that they will make it out of. This situation has them opening up to each other about their pasts since their futures are uncertain. They talk about how they have been burned in the past and don’t see a happily ever after in their plans. After everything, they go their separate way without planning on seeing each other again.

The next time Marvel comes to Virginia’s rescue, he finds himself on the receiving end of the MC’s taunting for having a woman when he swore to never have one. After the threat has passed, and Virginia is ready to move forward, Marvel shuts down any chance at a future with Virginia. However, when he comes to the realization that he may want something with her…it just might be too late. This time, danger is waiting for her and Marvel may not make it in time.

I LOVE the entire Satan’s Devil’s series. I have read every book since the first one and this crazy cast of characters feels like they are friends. I enjoyed this story and look forward to whatever comes next!

The Fighter (An Underground Bad Boys Romance Book 3) by India Kells – Review by Rosanna Ingram

The Fighter (An Underground Bad Boys Romance, #3)The Fighter by India Kells
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Juliet and Ten need to make some money before they get kicked out of their apartment, so Ten decides to take part in an underground fight to earn some fast cash. With a loss imminent, both Ten and Juliet are surprised when a stranger she met earlier steps in and coaches Ten to a win. Unfortunately, the dirty win earns them no money, but does earn them a new enemy, and they go home to find their belongings in trash bags outside the door. The stranger, Gage, steps in and gives them a place to stay while they figure out what to do next.

The chemistry between the three is off the charts. They work hard to find a way out of their current situation while navigating their attractions to each other. There are some hot and steamy scenes that will burn up your Kindle! However, feelings start getting involved (which makes things messy)….and danger is closing in on them. Gage makes a choice that may save them, or end whatever they have going before they can even figure it all out. Can he have the happy ending he never believed could happen? Or, did he make another wrong choice that will ruin everything?

I enjoyed reading this book. It was a pretty quick read that I was able to finish in a single sitting. I enjoyed Juliet’s character and her courage and strength as she took what she wanted and found out who she could be. Ten is such a sweet character that is finding his true self. Gage is sex-on-a-stick that realizes that he may be worthy of more than the future he envisioned for himself. Overall, a good book that I enjoyed reading.

My Valentine’s Day Cookie Match (Welcome to Cupid’s Cove) by C.A. King – Review by Rosanna Ingram

My Valentine's Day Cookie Match: Welcome to Cupids CoveMy Valentine’s Day Cookie Match: Welcome to Cupids Cove by C.A. King
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Graham is quitting his city job to move Cupid’s cove and launch his new matchmaking app and coffee shop. He is banking on people making it popular in their quest to find love. Lara runs a bakery with her mother in Cupid’s Cove. After her recent breakup, the bakery is all she has to keep her sane. That is, until the mayor (who happens to be Lara’s father) approves a new coffee shop to open up in town.

However, when Graham’s business opens up, Lara finds herself spending more and more time with Graham and their chemistry and banter is there in spades! But, as it is with small towns, his ex comes through town and stirs up some drama and families meddle under the guise of doing what’s best. Can these two make it work despite being rivals (and the age gap)?

The story was a cute small-town rivalry story. It was a quick read and a quick-paced story. Using the radio intros was something I enjoyed reading…and the recipes sprinkled within the pages sound yummy!

Claiming My Mate (Wolf Hollow Pack Book 1) by Nicole Howl – Review by Rosanna Ingram

Claiming My Mate (Wolf Hollow Pack #1)Claiming My Mate by Nicole Howl
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Lily has grown up as a servant in the castle of the Alpha of the Wolf Hollow Pack. Her days are spent keeping her head down, avoiding eye contact with any member of the royal family, and doing her chores. After an attack on her from one of the king’s guards, her life takes a turn that she never saw coming.

After an attack from rebels lands him in a hospital bed, Jason (the prince) is shocked when his wolf wants him to protect whoever else is in the infirmary with him. When he learns that it is one of the humans that works in the castle, he is confused. But, there is more to this human girl than it seems…it’s his mate.

Jason finds himself fighting to the death for a chance to claim his mate…despite his mate’s protests. But, there seems to be a lot more at play here than we know. Can Jason win the battle? Is there a bigger battle brewing?

This book was a relatively quick and easy read. Lily is definitely a lot stronger than she lets herself believe…and I am hoping more of that shines through in the next book. There are also enough secondary characters that could potentially have their own storylines in future books. Overall, a good introduction to a new series that I am looking forward to following in the future.

It Just Comes Natural (Powder River Pack Book 3) by Brooke May – Review by Rosanna Ingram

It Just Comes NaturalIt Just Comes Natural by Brooke May
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Brandon and Macy are each out for a night of fun when they meet and sparks fly. Although they may be fated mates, they each have their own lives that make things complicated. Brandon is leaving for military duty and Macy has her own responsibilities. However, they do share one incredible night together.

Fast forward and Brandon has returned home since his military obligations are up…but he is determined to find the one that got away. However, when he finds Macy again, he is in for quite a surprise. Although they both feel the pull to be together, there are obstacles that they must overcome and issues they must work through first…and the author does not make it easy on them.

This was an enjoyable book. I enjoyed the strength that Macy showed as the story took its twists and turns. Brandon is a funny jokester but his sense of duty and responsibility shines through. Another good book in this series. Can’t wait to see what happens next!

Class Clown (Ghost Girl Series) by Allan Evans – Review by Rosanna Ingram

Class ClownClass Clown by Allan Evans
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I wasn’t sure what to expect when I read this book…but I found myself drawn into the story and didn’t put it down until the last page!

Abbey is trying to navigate high school and making friends…while dealing with the ghosts that she can see and communicate with. She has had such a hard time making real friends in the past, so she is excited when she joins the soccer team. However, after a trip to the circus with her family, she has brought back some unwanted souvenirs…ghost clowns! On top of that, her soccer friends are disappearing. Are those events connected? And can Abbey figure out what the ghosts want and find her friends?

I loved Abbey! She is quirky and unique…and her love for the 80’s sealed the deal for me! She deals with a lot for only being 14, which I admired in her. The story dealt with real life issues, such as friendship, high school, and the fear of clowns, but in an entertaining way that I enjoyed reading!

Seductively Yours (Titans of Manhattan Book 3) by Anise Storm – Review by Rosanna Ingram

Seductively Yours (Titans Of Manhattan, #3)Seductively Yours by Anise Storm
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Rhyann moves to New York to follow her dream of being a dancer. While she has received a scholarship, she finds that she is going to need a job…so she applies to be a dancer at a local club. Little does she know that the man she needs to hire her is the man she had a one night stand with.

Mason has a rule of never mixing business with pleasure. That rule has never been an issue until the latest job applicant is a woman he shared a night with. He almost doesn’t hire her because of his rule…but decides to hire her anyway. Just means that their one night will stay one night.

But, as they dance around their feelings for each other while their lives become intertwined, will they be able to stay away from each other?!? Or, is another Titan going to be brought to his knees by a strong woman?!? (If you have read any of the other books…you know how this is going to go!)

Another great book in the series. I have enjoyed these characters from the beginning…and it was entertaining to see Mason get his turn as the lead. Rhyann is a strong character…which is the type of woman that a Titan needs. Once again, the author has told a great story that I thoroughly enjoyed!

Behemoth (Grimm Wolves MC Book 1) by D.M. Earl – Review by Rosanna Ingram

Behemoth: Grimm Wolves MC Series Book 1Behemoth: Grimm Wolves MC Series Book 1 by Karen Hrdlicka
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Francis, known as Stitch to his MC brothers, has a past that would give people nightmares. When he isn’t working at the fire station, or doing something with the club, he lives the life of a nomad at his cabin. A routine field trip at the fire station is going to change his life forever.

Grace is a nurse and single mom. When her son, Damien, comes home after a field trip and can’t stop talking about the fireman who so so kind to him, she knows she needs to find a way to thank him. Little does she know that this one decision will set in motion a chain of events that will change everything. When she finally meets Francis face-to-face, she is torn because while she finds him attractive, her past has made her very wary of anyone associated with a MC.

There is so much going on in this book…lust, love, revenge, protectiveness, loyalty, and family. I enjoyed the relationship between Grace and Francis and between Francis and Damien. I would love to read more about their bond and the similarities they share. There were also plenty of members of the MC that I would enjoy reading more about. Overall, a good book that I enjoyed reading!

Depending On You by Jessica Aiken-Hall – Review by Rosanna Ingram

Depending On YouDepending On You by Jessica Aiken-Hall
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Cate and Patti were closer than best friends…they were sisters. But a tragic incident 10 years ago changed their friendship forever. They went from seeing each other monthly, to yearly, to not seeing each other in over 3 years.

What began as Cate pushing everyone away after that fateful night turned into years of loneliness. Cate has been living a life of solitude…weighed down by the guilt she carries. When Cate reaches out to Patti when she finds out someone is looking into a closed case from 10 years ago, they rekindle their friendship that has been neglected for years. However, it seems like everyone has been hiding secrets for the past ten years that, and once they come to light, throw everyone’s relationships into turmoil. As truths are revealed, it seems that nothings was as it seemed. Can Cate and Patti’s friendship withstand more secrets? Or is the damage irreparable?

I really enjoyed this story of the strength of family bonds…even when that family is the one we choose! Cate and Patti have both been living with the weight of guilt and secrets that could have been lessened if they had been open and honest with those around them. As this story unfolded, I found myself tearing up more than once. There was just so much to unpack…so many layers…and each was as devastating as the last. An emotional book that packed a punch while soothing the soul. Overall…a great book!

Seven Strengths: A Tale from TurasetSeven Strengths: A Tale from Turaset by P.L. Tavormina
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I did not know what to expect when diving into this story…but it sure had a way to keep my attention from beginning to end.

Celeste has grown up in Collimais, working at the family’s inn. However, she wanted more than owning the inn someday in the future. She had a a dream of leaving Collimais, chasing her own dreams, and making her own decisions about her future. She did not want to be confined to the traditional ways of businesses being passed down through generations and marriages being arranged. When an opportunity arises for her to leave and head into the city for schooling, she finds a way to make it happen (even when everyone around her is telling her “no”). But, while she’s away, she is learning about a world that is so different than her own, falling in love, and being reminded of the reasons her foothills upbringing is being threatened by those in the city. When she visits home after a year, and to escape the stressors at school, she finds that maybe the way she viewed the confines of her home-life were not as stifling as she once thought. But, when one of her family members is attacked, she sees the danger that the city people pose. What will she do after graduation? Should she find a job in the city or return to the foothills?

This is a story of the grass isn’t always greener on the other side…just different. People are always searching for something more…something better…but sometimes that doesn’t exist. I enjoyed Celeste’s desire and pursuit of finding herself. I also enjoyed her learning and acceptance that life, and people, aren’t better away from home. It was an interesting story that I enjoyed reading.

Road Rage (OUTLAW, #4)Road Rage by Karina Kantas
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

When Gem gets the attention from a hot guy while she’s working, she is flattered and excited to maybe try this dating thing again. When she finds out he is a member of the local MC, she is hoping this time will be different than the last. She learns quickly that it isn’t. She is quickly involved in a world of bike racing, sex, violence, and having to prove herself time and time again. Is this the life she wants? Or is it time to walk away, again, and start over?

This book pulls you in from the beginning and does not let you go. There is so much action and there never feels like there is a moment of calm. Gem is a strong lead character with a backstory that will break your heart…all while reinforcing how strong and resilient she is. Doc is such a good character that I found myself getting attached to pretty quickly. Overall, a really good story that had my attention from beginning to end.

Doctor D’s Orderly Affair (Doctors of Eastport General) by C.A. King – Review by Rosanna Ingram

Doctor D's Orderly AffairDoctor D’s Orderly Affair by C.A. King
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Dr. Desmond Danielson has earned himself quite a reputation on the floors of the hospital he works at. He is known as Dr. D…great for one night only. Sure, he has been with quite a few women, but the nickname and the glances from coworkers make him uneasy. However, when he sees a woman at the hospital who doesn’t look at him like a piece of meat, or look at him at all really, he is intrigued.

Emily works hard, studies hard, and doesn’t have time for much else in her life. When the nurses around her start talking about this amazing Dr. D, king of the one night stands, she doesn’t know who they are talking about or believe all the hype. When she has her first encounter with Dr. D…it is not nearly as hot as everyone is expecting it to be. What does surprise her is his interest in her. But, when she gives in, and he is gone the next day, she knows she’s just another notch in his belt. What happens when they meet again down the road?!? (You’ll have to read it to find out).

This is a quick-paced book that is entertaining and grabs the reader’s attention from the beginning. Both characters were enjoyable and I liked how real they were with each other. I am a fan of this author’s other books…and this one did not disappoint. A quick that kept me turning the pages!

Simultaneously, Jana is learning that she has powers that may help her find the killer…but also make her a target for others. She must figure out who is telling the truth, who is lying, who is using her, and navigate the world of royal politics at the same time.

This story thrusts you into the world of Adrjssian head-first! There are twists and turns that I never saw coming. Jana finds herself on both sides of the story…hero and villain…while she figures out who she is, who she can trust, and what she is capable of.

Power Play (Astoria Bay Thunder Book 1) by CJ Cartwright – Review by Rosanna Ingram

Power Play (Astoria Bay Thunder #1)Power Play by C.J. Cartwright
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I really loved reading about Brynn and Levi.

Brynn has moved to a new city to start over after her recent divorce. She is following her dream now that she is done putting them aside for a man. After winning tickets on the radio to a local hockey game, she thinks her luck is changing. However, when she nails the Captain of the team in the jewels in front of a large crowd, she believes luck is not on her side. Getting contacted to shoot the team’s calendar could be good for her…and her bank account…but when the Captain shows up and drops a truth bomb on her, Brynn doesn’t know how to feel.

Levi is the Captain of the team and is dedicated to only the team. He doesn’t have room in his life for love. He had one of those once and doesn’t want to bering that kind of heartache into his life. When he sees a woman during the period intermission, she seems familiar to him. When her name is announced, memories of the past come rushing in. The next time he sees her, he is a jerk. But when he tells her his truth, he isn'[t sure what to expect…but it isn’t the anger that is unleashed upon him.

What follows is the story of a past filled with love and heartache…and trying to deal with it after years have passed and life has changed both of them. The camaraderie of the team is a huge aspect of this story…and I love Tia and Bridger! The chemistry between Levi and Brynn is fierce…but the hurt feelings of the past creep up and threaten the progress they make. I admire Brynn for standing up for her own freedom and wanting what’s best for herself and not letting others decide it for her. As the first book in a new series…I enjoyed it and can’t wait to see what the next book brings!

Ever since their paths crossed years ago, Luca has vowed to protect Aly…whether she thinks she needs it or not. However, the night before she is set to marry one of her father’s men, Luca steals her away and announces she will marry him instead. He believes he is using her as leverage in a war between the families…so why is his heart getting involved? She knows she is being used and doesn’t know which side she can truly trust…but her heart is getting involved, too! Is she just a pawn in a game? Or is she the queen he has needed since years ago? When loyalties are tested…is their alliance strong enough to last?

I enjoyed this story. Sat down and read it one sitting. I liked both main characters…and Luca’s right hand man is a fun character, too! There are some twists and turns that I didn’t see coming and kept the story interesting. Overall, an entertaining read that kept me turning the pages. There is hinting at the end at what the next story might be…and I am looking forward to it.

Anton is an actor and one of the Titans. Even though he spends a majority of his time filming away from home, he knows his heart has found a home with Elsa. Elsa is a high-powered real estate agent who is head over heels in love with Anton. When Anton pops the question, there isn’t a doubt in her mind when she says yes.

Both are excited about their new marriage and want to start a family together. However, when tragedy strikes, the strength of their love is put to the test. Elsa copes by pushing Anton away…and finding any way she can to dull the pain she is feeling. When Anton issues an ultimatum, and Elsa ignores it, she must make a decision that will alter her life.

I felt for both of these characters. They are both juggling life and work…and finding the balance is hard to do. While they both deal with loss during this book…Elsa is is also dealing with learning that the future she has planned out for herself cannot happen. This book covers a lot of heavy topics…but in a way that is human and feels real. I enjoyed this story and look forward to the next book in the series.

What starts out as a story of a girl trying to find her dad turns into so much more than that within the pages of this book.

You see, she has recently begun to fly. That’s right…she has magic and she needs someone figuring out her secret before she could control it. Therefore, she needed to find Daddy Dear…and soon!

I found this book to be fast-paced and full of little twists and turns. There are also some emotional ups and downs that I did not see coming and kept me immersed in the story. I enjoyed reading it…and finished it in a single sitting. I also enjoyed all the secondary characters. The book wrapped up by giving us a glimpse into the futures of all of the supporting characters which was fun.

States of Grace (Grace Locke Mystery Series) by Mandy Miller – Review by Rosanna Ingram

States of GraceStates of Grace by Mandy Miller
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

If you love a good legal drama…this is for you!

Grace is trying to pick up the pieces of her life after a recent DUI. She is going through a divorce, she is battling an addiction to painkillers after losing her leg in Fallujah, and she is trying not get disbarred in the state of Florida. To remain in their good graces, she finds herself on the other side of the aisle in the courtroom where she is now a public defender.

Through some not so up-and-up means, Grace finds herself defending Zoe. Zoe is accused of murdering her guidance counselor. Zoe also happens to be the daughter of her soon-to-be ex-husband’s mistress. At the onset, it looks like Zoe is guilty. But, Grace is not so easily convinced. She believes there is more at play here…and she is going to prove it. However, with cops thwarting her progress at every move, she finds herself in deeper than she could have imagined…and it could ruin both their lives. Will she be able to find the truth before it’s too late?

There are so many great characters in this story that keep it interesting. Grace is wonderful while being real. I swear, her fake leg is a character all on its own! I enjoyed the realistic situation of the story and the inclusion of all the courtroom moments. I felt like I was reading a crime-drama movie!

Unlikely to Stay (Parker Lake) by Olivia Sherwood – Review by Rosanna Ingram

Unlikely to Stay (A Parker Lake Novel Book 3)Unlikely to Stay by Ashlie Knapp
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the third book in the series…but it can definitely be read as a standalone.

The cast of characters from the first two books are back…but this time we are focusing on CC. CC is the town hairstylist…and best friend to Anabelle and Breckin. She has come to terms with the fact that she is an outcast and will probably be alone forever. She is crushing on Brant, who runs the town’s clinic, for 2 years…but she knows that he’s too good for her so she won’t even take her shot.

Brant moved to Parker Lake a couple of years ago and is running the local clinic. He had a rough childhood and was in foster care for a while…so he is set in his ways of not forming attachments. He has noticed the hairstylist in town…but their interactions thus far have led him to believe that she hates him.

So…when meddling friends step in and set them up on a date. When they find out that their initial assumptions about each other are wrong, can they get out of their own ways to see if they could be more than friends? Or are they too stuck in their ways to take the chance? (You will have to read to find out)

I really enjoyed this story. Brant and CC are both great characters that have been shaped by their childhoods. The friendship they create is amazing…and the way they grow as people is even more special. I have enjoyed the books in the series and this was no exception.

Master Trentino (Masters of the Consulate Book 3) by Sylvia Black – Review by Rosanna Ingram

Master TrentinoMaster Trentino by Sylvia Black
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Unfortunately, I have not read the first two books in this series…but you can bet I will be going back to read them now!

Angel catches the attention of Trentino when they first meet…but it is when he meets her next that he must make a split second decision…does he save a woman seen as an enemy or does he turn her and save her life? That decision leads them down a road filled with feelings, deceit, action, and conversations with the dead.

I enjoyed the chemistry between these two and how they had to work together to figure out who murdered her family and who is betraying the Consulate. I love a good supernatural story and this does not disappoint. I will definitely be checking out the previous books in the story and am excited to read what comes next.

Blindsided by T. Christensen – Review by Rosanna Ingram

Blindsided: A Contemporary Sports RomanceBlindsided: A Contemporary Sports Romance by T. Christensen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Kirsa and Brock are best friends. When they are teenagers, those feelings of friendship could be something more than that. But, when Victoria enters the scene, lines become fuzzy and their path forward together isn’t as clear as it once was. Miscommunication leads to Brock turning his back on Kirsa and he makes her life miserable.

For years, Kirsa deals with the pain Brock puts her through. When Rylan starts school with them, Kirsa is hesitant to become his friend. But, Rylan wears her down and they become friends. Rylan is someone who will stand by (and up for) Kirsa. When their friendship becomes a point of jealousy for Brock, will Brock finally learn the truth of what really happened years ago? Even if he does, can Kirsa forgive him? Or is there too much damage to overcome?

I really enjoyed this book. It is not the usual friends-to-enemies romance. Oh no…there is so much more. Add in the third-wheel to stir things up…teenage hormones…miscommunication…and a new guy…and you have the recipe for a great story. I was pulled in from the beginning and couldn’t put the book down until I finished it. I feel like there is some unresolved issues and storylines that I would love to see how some of their stories develop…so I am already looking forward to future books!
