I found myself pulled into the pages of this story and couldn’t put it down until I was done.
Amanda is starting her first year of college with her best friends. Since one of them is in a fraternity, and one of them is dating a fraternity member, she finds herself at the frat house her very first night on campus. There, she meets Doug and Zack. She finds herself spending a lot of time with Doug…but he never makes the move to be more than friends. A serious injury has her spending even more time with Doug…and Zack. An almost-kiss on Halloween sends her away from one while bringing her closer to the other. Can Amanda find happiness? Or is she hiding the truth from herself?
I found myself drawn to Amanda. Her character enjoys her independence and finds it hard to adapt when an injury has her relying on others. Her feelings are a mess because she can’t tell if she is being strung along or if she is imagining something that isn’t there. All the supporting characters were enjoyable and I wanted to know more about all of them! I am hoping there will be other books in the series!

Em and Joel’s story was entertaining to read. Em knows what she wants out of life…which is currently to complete her PhD and make a difference in the world. She does not have time for, nor want, a relationship…despite what her large Greek family wants for her. More importantly, her dad is constantly pushing guys her way hoping that she will fall in love, have a large Greek wedding, and settle down to start a family. She is already not looking forward to the guy her dad has set up for her to meet at the wedding she is in. Joel is a successful business man that is currently working on a deal with a large developer. When the man he is trying to make a deal with says he should meet his daughter, Joel doesn’t want to say no for fear of losing the deal. When he meets Em, though, she is nothing like he expects her to be. She is smart, opinionated, and so much more than he bargained for. With neither of them wanting a relationship, and her interviewing for a job at his company, will they be able to keep a secret hook-up going…or were they destined to be a one-time fling? This book was entertaining…and you knew Joel’s past would surface at some point. He guards his past so closely that you know something bad has happened which will continue to affect him. And it was interesting to watch Em evolve from the woman who wants nothing to do with any type of relationship to possibly falling in love. Characters from the previous books make appearances in this story so it was fun to see what they were up to. Overall, another good book in the series.

As I have mentioned in previous reviews for Manda Mellett’s books, I have loved the entire Satan’s Devils series. That being said, I was not a big fan of Stormy going into this book because he just walked out on the MC in a previous book. So…it was going to take some work to get me back on his side…but Manda Mellett did that and more!
Stormy turned his back on his MC…and when he shows back up on their doorstep, there are unanswered questions about where he has been and whether they should allow him inside or not. This story takes us back in time to find out Stormy’s history and how he has ended up in his current predicament. As I learned more about his past, I found that he has overcome a lot and I found myself rooting for him and his success as the book went on. Add Cat into the mix and I was definitely hooked. They are definitely made for each other.
This is another great addition to the Satan’s Devils world and, once again, I am in love with the words that Manda Mellett has put on every page. I have read every one of the books in the series and will continue to do so!

I found myself invested into Jake and Sandra’s story. It came off the pages so real and full of so many emotions. The chemistry between Sandra and Jacob is present from the first time they see each other. However, previous betrayal from his brother has Jacob bringing old baggage into the mix before they really have a chance. The back and forth between these characters is both raw and believable. It has a comedic aspect while also tackling some real issues that other author’s skim over. After getting through the book, I am interested to read the other books in the series.

However, she has also started a Valentine’s secret admirer event. As she is working towards getting ready for this year’s event…the boy that broke her heart 20 years ago is now the man standing in her flower shop. Twenty years ago, Liam was forced to up and leave his hometown behind. He is still not over the events of that night and harbors a lot of resentment and anger. After a surgery gone wrong, Liam needs to take a vacation and get away for a bit. Instead of joining his girlfriend and her family on a ski trip, he decides to head back to his hometown and clear his head. Imagine his surprise when the Air BnB that he is staying at is right above his former best friend’s flower shop. While Liam and Rose find the friendship that Liam left behind, there are secrets in their lives that, once out, could ruin what they are building. There are ups and downs…there is betrayal and forgiveness…and there is hope and love. This book is written in a way that an older romantic language is woven throughout the pages. It added to the overall feel of the book…and I enjoyed it. Rose and Liam were wonderful characters and my heart was breaking and mending right along with them. A heartfelt love story which takes place at what is considered to be the most romantic time of the year.
This was one of those books that you can sit and read, while drinking a cup of coffee, and get lost in the story. Miriam is a detective in New York. She has been given a recent murder case that seems as though it could be the work of a serial killer. Miriam is dedicated to her job, and running, because it allows her mind to be clear and keep her past out. However, her past will be more than in her mind when her first love reappears in her life once again. She must focus on her case, though, because her best friend believes she is in danger. Jesse is starting his new job as a firefighter in New York and is hoping to see Miriam once again so he can get the closure he never got. However, once reunited, instead of closure there is a spark of hope. He wants to be the man to keep Miriam safe…but from what? Or who? There is so much going on in this story…the chasing of a killer, a man who can’t seem to get over a relationship that was just at the beginning stages, a best friend who talks to ghosts and sees the future, and an encounter with a ghost that has Jesse opening his eyes to believing in spirits. This book was enjoyable and I finished it all in one sitting. I needed to know what was going to happen. I was pulled in by the spiritual elements. Over, a good story.
This story was fun to read. There was the quirkiness of young teenagers mixed with a little bit of magic. Oh…and some really yummy looking recipes! Cat is starting 8th grade. She is your typical teenager who likes to hang out with her friends, flirt with boys, and spend time with her best friend (and cousin). One thing that is not typical is that her mom never bakes anything…like ever! This has meant a life of reheated frozen food for every meal. So when she tries something from the new bakery in town…her life (and taste buds) are changed forever. When a scheduling mix up has her taking a culinary class as her elective, her world will never be the same. She learns that there are secrets that her family is hiding from her. As she sets out to find out what her gift means and how exactly to use it…she finds that it is not as easy as she thought. This leads to some moments that had me laughing as I read the story. This was a great book by an author that is new to me…but it won’t be the last. I am hoping there is another book to follow up with Cat and her family.

Audra and Charlie are both up for the same promotion. They have also both been denying an attraction to each other for two years. Audra knows, from personal experience, that office romances can go up in flames and be more drama than they are worth. So…after Audra and Charlie hook up after the company Christmas party, Audra decides that it is best that they stay friends and not pursue a relationship. Charlie thinks the opposite and wants to see where their relationship could go. Can Audra move beyond her past and see if there is a future with Charlie? You’ll have to read to find out.
This is a short office romance story. However, a lot happens in such a short time. I found myself hoping Audra would let Charlie in. When her insecurities were revealed, her actions made more sense. This was a good, quick read!

This is a short story about first loves and second chances. Fiona is starting her 4th year in Dublin alongside her fiancé Lachlan. When she is asked to tutor a new player, she is surprised to see the boy (who is now a man) from her past at the table. Conner is back in Dublin after living in the US with his mother when she fled the abusive ways of Conner’s father. Now he’s back and he can see that things aren’t like they were when he left. Lachlan has nothing but disdain for him and Fiona is no longer his. As the book plays out, a series of events has Fiona questioning her relationship with Lachlan and coming to terms with why Conner had to leave all those years ago. I enjoyed this story. It was a quick read…but enjoyable.
This short novella is a fast read that is a bit on the spicy side! Finley goes to a bar to escape her overbearing family. There, she catches the eye of a hot stranger across the bar. Before you know it, they have moved from the bar to his apartment. She is gone by morning…neither even catching the name of the other. Imagine their surprise when they meet again the next day at the firehouse Christmas party. Garrett knows rule number one at the firehouse is never go after the captain’s daughter. But, in his defense, he didn’t know who she was. Despite the rule, he can’t keep his eyes (or hands) off of Finley. Should they try to see where it goes? Or should they just obey the rule and move on? This was a quick read that was full of a lot of storyline building. I am hoping there will be a full-length story coming out so I can see what happens next!
Chloe finds herself working through the Thanksgiving holiday to close the deal on a big client so that, hopefully, she will be enjoying Christmas with a promotion. However, her hopes for the promotions are gone when Jason walks into the office and introduces himself as her new boss. Jason left his previous company due to a hostile work environment, and it seems as though his first introduction to his co-worker, Chloe, isn’t going so well. He doesn’t know why she doesn’t like him, but he likes her (as maybe more than just a co-worker). When Chloe signs her big client, that’s when the drama really starts. A lot happens (and I don’t want to give any of it away), but it happens just like a Hallmark movie. I loved every second of it. A quick and fun holiday romance that I couldn’t put down.

Both Lorenzo and Carissa are broken characters. Lorenzo had a wife and his beautiful baby daughter, until his wife was taken away from him and he was left as a widowed father. Carissa was engaged to the man she was planning on spending forever with. However, when her fiancé runs off, she stops believing that happily ever after actually exists. However, a night out sets them on a course that will have them questioning if love is worth fighting for.
I enjoyed both of these characters…and the secondary characters were wonderful as well. Lorenzo’s family and Carissa’s support system are awesome! Lorenzo and Carissa both have pasts that have jaded them against love and relationships…but there is something some magnetic about their chemistry that they keep getting pulled back together. They both have issues to overcome and the author does a great job of working through them. This was a pretty quick read that I devoured in one sitting.
This is one of the first books that I have read by Bella Emy…but it won’t be the last!

Ally is a single mom working hard to get her grow her business so her and her daughter, Glory, could live comfortably. However, he quiet life is thrown into chaos when Archer comes back to town. Archer has been serving in the military and is moving back to his hometown. He hasn’t seen Ally in years and hopes that she is happy. However, his mother gives him news on his first day back home that will change his life forever. He has a daughter. Now Archer is determined to get to know his daughter and, hopefully, get to know her mother. Ally isn’t going to make it easy for Archer…but sometimes old flames don’t completely die out. I enjoyed this story from beginning to end. Ally is a strong, independent woman and I love how she handled Archer coming back into her life. I can understand where her feelings were coming from and I enjoyed watching their relationship grow and evolve since they are adults and not the children they when they last saw each other. This was a cute story of reigniting old flames while coming to terms with the changes life has thrown their way.

This was a great quick read from Amy McKinley. Adeline finds herself with opportunity to travel to Italy for work. Knowing that this is a great career move, and far away from her ex, she sets off to the other side of the world. There, she finds herself working for a grumpy, but sexy, Stone Crenshaw. Stone is trying to get the renovations on his current hotel done so he can move onto the next project. His first impression of his new employee is less than stellar…but he gives her the chance to prove herself. One way to that, pretend to be his fiancé when a hotel goes up for sale by a man who believes in the importance of family. What starts out as part of her job quickly becomes something much more. However, not everyone wants to see Adeline and Stone together and that adds a whole other layer of drama to the story. There was romance and drama…and the descriptions of Italy make me want to travel there as soon as a I get the chance. This story has many layers to it that kept me turning the pages til I had reached the end. Another great story by Amy McKinley!

As a model, David’s world is chaotic and he has a hard time with a relationship because he doesn’t know if people are with him for the right reasons. But…there is something about Lauren that makes David want to try.
As Lauren tries to find a way to be a part of David’s world, she is quickly introduced the harsh reality that some people don’t want her there. While navigating the waters of a high profile relationship, there are ups and downs. However, the thing that endures every time is David’s belief that they can make it work. When tragedy strikes, they must decide if their relationship can actually survive.
I found myself immersed into the story from the first page. David and Lauren are both characters that I found myself rooting for. I could not put the book down until I got to the end…I needed to know what would happen….and I enjoyed every second of it!

Neither is in the market for a relationship…but a couple of steamy days with a stranger is something they both agree on. Mother Nature, however, has different plans and puts them in situations neither of them expected. As they begin to open up to each other, and truths start coming to light, they find out that they have quite a bit more in common than they thought…and that’s not necessarily a good thing. Can they look beyond their jobs to make a real go at a relationship…or are they meant to be just a fling? I enjoyed both Raven and Jack’s characters (even if I wanted to bop both of them upside the head a few times). There were some steamy scenes which I enjoyed and story line that kept me turning the pages til the end. I read the first book in this series, but this book can definitely be read as a standalone. There are some supporting characters in this story that I loved! This is a series that I will continue reading as more are published.

Artemis is on his way to New York where he plans to make a big announcement to his family. Due to the weather, he must land at an airport in the middle of nowhere and wait for the storm to pass. Imagine his surprise when he sees the girl from his past, who has grown into a beautiful woman, as another stranded passenger. The past between Penelope and Artemis is a mix of young love and heartbreak. Both of them have their own ideas about what happened on the beach years ago…but it seems as though both of them have it wrong. Years of not talking has led to a mix of longing, anger, and distrust. Can they reignite the flame they once had? Or are secrets from the past (and Artemis’ last name) going to keep them apart once again? I enjoyed this book and read it all in one sitting. It was an easy read and a really good story. Penelope and Artemis are both great characters who just need a little slap upside their heads to knock some sense into them…but, then again, most adults do! I enjoyed the story and will be checking out Archie’s book when it is released.

Gianluca is enjoying his successful career in the fashion industry. When his new intern is an American, there is an instant hate relationship that is born. However, the chemistry between Callie and Gianluca quickly turns their relationship into a love/hate one. The back and forth between these characters kept me turning the pages long after I should have been in bed. Like any good romance, things are not easy for the two and when Callie flees back to the United States, will Gianluca fight for her or is the American more trouble than she is worth? (You will have to read to find out)
I have read books from this author in the past, and this new series is definitely one I will be keeping up with. I really liked the relationship between Callie and Gianluca…and some of the characters in the book were great, too. A good enemies-to-lovers book that I would recommend to other readers.

The Chase Security guys have quickly become one of my favorite series to read. Each story is unique and full of enough drama and suspense to keep it entertaining while also focusing on a couple and their road to each other.
Secure Desire (Chase Security #1) Ian successfully runs a private security firm with his brother. His past military experience makes him sought after. Six years ago, he had a brief encounter with Callie. When he sees her again, he can tell she is different and is determined to figure out the secret she is hiding before it kills her. Callie is working for the FBI when she meets Ian…although she feels like they have met before. However, she is determined to hide her secret because Ian will want nothing to do with her if it comes out. However, Ian is relentless and determined…and maybe that’s what she really needs. This story has a lot of layers…none of which I want to give away because it is a great book to read without any clues. I found myself immersed in the story as soon as I started reading it and I enjoyed it until the very last page.
Secure Again (Chase Security #2) Wow…there is a lot going on in this story and it is an amazing ride. While this story may be intimidating due to the amount of pages, I found myself flipping through them so fast and I arrived at the end of the story before I knew it. I was so engrossed in the story that I completely tuned out the world around me. Martin, the CEO of Chase Security, is called home when his brother ends up in the hospital. Elizabeth is the doctor treating Martin’s brother. The two share a heartbroken past that they must face when they see each other again. This is not your typical second-chance romance, though. First, R.L. Dunn makes them work hard to move beyond the past and even have a chance at a future. Oh…and there’s the web of prisoner abuse and other crimes that they must unravel along the way.
Secure Heart (Chase Security #3) This is third story in the series and focuses on Julian. Julian has recently become the head of Chase Security’s San Diego branch. He is digging himself out of a past that has beaten him down. Upon arriving in San Diego, he finds out that Chase medical is endangering its patients and putting their lives at risk. One of those lives belongs to a little girl named Sadie. Sadie is suffering from the same condition that took Julian’s wife from him…but he is determined to save her. Her mother, Holly, has her own past demons that force her to keep her walls up. However, when Holly and Julian are together, the chemistry is definitely there. However, more danger lurks around the corner when a serial kidnapper targets women and their children. Julian, and the rest of Chase Security, are trying to find out who is behind everything while keeping everyone safe. I found myself really invested in both Holly and Julian. Their pasts had me hoping that each of them would find happiness and not be faced with heartbreak again. Holly is a strong character and not quick to let a man take care of her…and I loved that about her.
All three books in this set are amazing and definitely worth the read!

I found Nick and Miranda’s story fun to read. Nick is taking over for his uncle and seems to have not made a good impression on the staff at Bain Construction. When the company Christmas party happens, he finds himself immediately enamored with the daughter of one of his employees. Miranda has heard her mother complain about her boss for weeks, so imagine her surprise when the man she is attracted to at the party is said boss. Their connection is instant and you can feel it coming through the pages. Nick wants to go all-in from the get go and Miranda wants to keep it on the down-low for the time being. It wouldn’t be an interesting story if there weren’t twists and turns, and obstacles to overcome. However, I enjoyed watching each of these characters grow and change as the story progressed. Overall, a fun story with a Christmas vibe that is perfect for getting ready for the upcoming holiday season!

This book took me on a ride that I wasn’t expecting…and I enjoyed it. Mia is working at the bar one night when a man gets too handsy. Another patron, who happens to be a police office, steps in. This sets off a chain of events that leads to Mia and Ethan getting married a year later. On the night of their wedding, Mia meets a stranger while taking a few minutes to herself outside her reception. This is also the night Mia gets her first glimpse into the man her husband truly is. Years later, when she makes her escape, Mia finds herself face-to-face with the stranger from her wedding. Derek knows that Mia is hiding something, but her is determined to take things slow because he feels Mia is the one for him. When her secrets finally come to light, Mia and Derek’s lives are both in danger. This brings about the conclusion of the book that I could not put down. I am not even sure I was breathing as I devoured each page to see what would happen! I enjoyed this book and the characters…well, most of them. There were twists and turns that I never saw coming and it kept me turning the pages! Overall, a really good book!
High Heels and Mistletoe is a great book to kick off the holiday season. It revolves around the magic of Christmas and a little bit of magical curses. Julietta is a hard working woman with an aversion to Christmas. She usually spends the holiday in a tropical location…and she is ready to leave on this year’s vacation. Unfortunately, she can’t leave until she closes the deal on the Winslow account. Luke Winslow is not making it easy and her vacation is non-refundable. Luke Winslow is a rich playboy that embraces everything that the Christmas season entails. He is also out to find a date to his family’s Christmas Eve party that will make up for the debacle of last year. When he crosses paths with Julietta, she intrigues him from the beginning. When he finds out she is in charge of his account, he tries to woo her while hanging signing the deal over her head. What ensues is a little bit of romance, quite a bit of humor, some personal growth, and a whole lot of Christmas magic. I enjoyed Julietta and Luke’s characters. They both evolved in their own way throughout the book. I devoured this book in one sitting because I couldn’t step away. I needed to know how it would all end up…and I was not disappointed. This is a good book to get into the holiday season.

I think I have read every Satan’s Devil’s MC books and the stories continue to amaze me. This is the 2nd book in the San Diego series and Grumbler has quickly become one of my favorite members. He has dedicated his life to the club and has been happy being the single guy with no children. So when someone asks to photograph his baby (his motorcycle), he finds himself in a situation that will change the course of his future. Mary is a single mother of a teenager who does what teenagers do best…test the limits. When she accompanies her daughter to a photoshoot, she finds herself turning to a grumpy biker for help. How long can they fight their attraction before they give in or walk away? (You have to read to find out) I found myself drawn to these characters. Maybe being a mother of a teenage girl is part of it. I can see how Grumbler got his name and for some reason that only made me like him more. Again, another great book in the series. Can’t wait to read whatever comes next!

Bella is the performing arts teacher at the local high school in Hartwood. Her budget is next to nothing and is being threatened to be cut even more, thus probably ending her teaching career at the high school. After being forced to take on a troubled student as he completes his community service, she must then take on an adult equivalent after a drunk driving accident. Doing what she does best, she is determined to make the most of everything being piled onto her plate in order to make the production successful and not have to find another job at the end of the school year.
Cade is home in Hartwood to take care of his grandfather after the death of his grandmother. He knows that his band, Burning Umbrage, is waiting for him to return to LA and finish their album. However, after a night in lockup he finds himself serving his community service alongside a hot-headed teacher that has a hatred for rock stars.
The chemistry, and maybe a little bit of magic, between Bella and Cade comes off the page and can be felt. Their different lifestyles are potential obstacles, but also what makes them great for each other. I found myself rooting for them from the beginning. Each of them has their own walls built up and it was enjoyable watching them break each other’s walls down. The supporting characters were lovable and added to the story. I enjoyed this story!

This is such an amazing series…and I’m sad that the last brother has gotten his story because I really don’t want it to end.
We are introduced to Trey in the first book. He has been away from Texas due to his baseball career. Now that that’s over…he finds himself wanting the quiet country life back home. So, he comes home and takes over a bookstore. As the holidays approach, he finds joy in taking part in getting into the holiday spirit by decorating his storefront. However, there is someone who has a problem with this…Miss Christmas.
Maggie is the town librarian and she LOVES Christmas. She loves helping the town get into the Christmas spirit by painting the windows of the stores in town. But when she sees the bookstore is painted by someone other than herself…well she won’t lose her Christmas spirit title to Trey Prentice (even if she used to have a crush on him).
The witty banter and back and forth between these two characters is fun to read and made me fall in love with them even more. There is just something wholesome about this series that I love. It feels like a place I would want to call home. This book takes its time getting to the happy ending we have come to look forward to…and it is sooo worth the wait! Another amazing story by a great author!

But fate brings them back together…when Quinn becomes Sidney’s boss (and the one who got the promotion she wanted). Their relationship is forbidden…is it worth the risk to keep it a secret? And Quinn has secrets of his own that could end their relationship…which is difficult for a woman like Sidney to accept since she demands honesty.
I loved the interactions between Sidney and Quinn. Sidney is a strong female lead character that doesn’t let people walk all over her. She demands answers and doesn’t stop until she gets them. There were moments that made me laugh and some that made me tear up. This was a quick read that I thoroughly enjoyed!

She’s No Cowgirl is the 5th book in the series but can definitely be read as a standalone. This is the story of Hunter and Kennedy. Hunter is a sophomore football player. While his family owns a ranch, his dreams are bigger than spending day-in and day-out working the land. He would love to go pro playing football, but would settle for a career in the business world. Kennedy used to have a dream of playing football, but she learned early on that her options were limited because she was a girl. Instead, she has shifted her focus to being an amazing sports journalist. The only problem…she has to hide her identity because women are not taken seriously in this business. An accidental run-in (literally) between Hunter and Kennedy has changed the course for both of them. Instead of focusing on school, football, and journalism, they are finding that they are focusing on each other. As they begin their relationship, Hunter can tell Kennedy is hiding something…he just can’t quite figure it out. Kennedy knows that her job could jeopardize everything they are building. What happens when it all comes out…can they move past it? Or will KD be the downfall of Hunter’s career? I enjoyed both Hunter and Kennedy’s characters. They are both driven college students that don’t spend their free time partying and, instead, are trying to shape their futures. Their connection was instant and I could feel it through the pages. I enjoyed the story and am now going to go back and read the rest in the series.

Each of the three books focuses on a player from the Boston Militia football team. Playing for the Money: a Bad Boy Sports Romance focuses on the team’s tight end, Hunter. Cat has been assigned to be his handler and keep him line after an alleged incident. Hunter is trying to stay on the right path so he can support his family. However, he is having a hard time fighting his attraction to Cat…especially since the coach has a rule about staying away from his daughter!
Playing for Love: a Second Chance Sports Romance is the story of the team’s QB, Gabriel. This is probably my favorite of the three stories. Gabriel is in a long-distance relationship since his dream of football has him playing in Boston. When his girlfriend’s best-friend moves to Boston sparks fly. The angst is soooo good in this story and I found myself devouring this one in one sitting!
Playing for Keeps: an Enemies to Lovers Sports Romance is the story of Tate, the team’s linebacker. Tate is not a huge fan of reporters and the media…and Chloe is a sports reporter who has overheard information about Tate while out at a bar. Tate and Chloe are at odds with each other…so what happens when their friends set them up on a blind date?
All three stories were wonderful. I love a good sports romance and each of these stories checked off all the things I love in a good book. There was angst and witty banter…cocky athletes…strong women…and of course some spicy moments thrown in. I love how all these books are connected and characters show up in all three. A great series…and I will definitely be checking out more!

This is one of those books that you won’t want to put down until you’re done. Belinda Williams writes amazing characters and Jessica and Ant do not disappoint.
Jessica loves fitness and has created an online empire that has made her quite popular. Ant is a comedian that does not share the same love of fitness that Jessica does. Jessica and Ant team up in a three-month transformation with all their fans watching. What ensues is a journey of not only body transformation but also self-discovery.
This book takes a couple of issues head-on…and they added more to the story. First, there is the mutual attraction between Jessica and Ant. Society doesn’t seem to like it when a fit woman falls for an unfit man (or vice versa). Jessica is scared of pursuing anything with Ant because she is also the owner of the company and she believes it would look bad to get involved with a client. Another issue that is faced is that sometimes what you think is helping a person can change them into someone else (and it isn’t always for the better). Ant begins to change as his body does and it may not be into a better person.
This is another good book by Belinda Williams that I enjoyed reading. I am looking forward to whatever she comes out with next!

I am loving this series!! It is dangerous and sexy…emotional and thrilling…I just can’t get enough.
This is third book of the series and focuses on Julian. Julian has recently become the head of Chase Security’s San Diego branch. He is digging himself out of a past that has beaten him down. Upon arriving in San Diego, he finds out that Chase medical is endangering its patients and putting their lives at risk. One of those lives belongs to a little girl named Sadie. Sadie is suffering from the same condition that took Julian’s wife from him…but he is determined to save her. Her mother, Holly, has her own past demons that force her to keep her walls up. However, when Holly and Julian are together, the chemistry is definitely there. However, more danger lurks around the corner when a serial kidnapper targets women and their children. Julian, and the rest of Chase Security, are trying to find out who is behind everything while keeping everyone safe.
I found myself really invested in both Holly and Julian. Their pasts had me hoping that each of them would find happiness and not be faced with heartbreak again. Holly is a strong character and not quick to let a man take care of her…and I loved that about her. This is another great book in this series and I am looking forward to Zach’s story next!
