My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Sage Advice is a clean romance story about a young woman who needs to work on some issues that have haunted her and has stopped her from moving forward. It is a story of a young woman who slowly discovers herself with the help of family and friends.
Being a YA romance story, it has sensitive and emotional girls and “I am man hear me roar” boys all just trying to cope with growing up and the pressures of high school and life from that age. It is filled with the usual traits with angst, drama, pain, self-doubt, peer pressure, bullies and best of all first love. Thank God I am not that age anymore.
Pyper is a giving person but listening to and taking that advice on board herself is another thing. We journey along with her as she puts on a front but internally struggles. It was good to watch her grow and come into herself.
This fun tale will have you laughing out loud at times and wanting to wrap your arms around them at others.
YAs are going to love this tale.

Sage Advice is a YA Romance that centers around the character of a teenage girl named Pyper. Pyper is a bubbly, fun-loving, kind, and compassionate teenager who wants to help others and she fiercely protects those she loves. As the girl who writes the advice column for her high school newspaper, Pyper generally has all the answers. She is good at helping others solve their problems but when it comes to her own life, she seems unable to find the answers to her own problems. Pyper is worried about her upcoming prom and when she gets asked by Landen to go with him, she is reluctant. Pyper has been hurt before and now sees all teenage boys as immature. Landen wants to prove that he is sincere and not like the other boys, but Pyper is reluctant to let her guard down. Will Landen be able to break through the barriers Pyper has put up? This was a beautifully written, and realistic, look at first love and romance. The characters were relatable, lovable, and I found myself rooting for Pyper to give Landen a chance to show her he was not going to break her heart. A great read!

Sage Advice by Cori Cooper – Review by Jessie Hopkins

Pyper is great at giving everyone advice, and they all look to her to do so. She’s caring and compassionate and not wanting anyone to feel the way she did. Last year’s prom changed her entire outlook on many things – boys, high school and her future.
Being a great big sister and a good friend is her main focus now. So much so that she listens to everyone else and focuses on helping them instead of coming to terms with her own.
She is wanting everything to be different this year, but that may mean that she needs to let others in.

This author writes such wonderful teen books about growing up. Pyper is a young woman working her through school. She has her plans and often times, they just don’t work the way she wants. Isn’t that all we wanted back then? All our issues at the time to work out. I found this story to be relatable. I really enjoy these stories as the author makes her stories feel like she could have taken them from your childhood. This is a fun story.

This is a sweet teenage romance. It is about a young teenage girl who is great at giving advice. She runs the advice column for her school paper, she is always on hand with helpful advice for her friends and family. She helps anyone who needs it. The problem is she is so busy helping other people that she doesn’t help herself.
Pyper is a really sweet girl, she is a proper girly girl who spends her time organising things and helping those she cares about.
Like most teenagers she’s has a lot to deal with as well as trying to figure out who she is.
When Pyper is hurt she tars all guys her age the same and builds a Fort around herself to protect her from any further harm.
However the dreaded Prom is approaching and there is one guy who really wants to take her.

Landen wants to show Pyper that he isn’t like the person that hurt her but will she give him the chance or are the walls she’s built around herself too high.
This is a sweet story of friendships, Romance, and finding out who you are and what you want out of life. I really enjoyed this story.

Cori Cooper lives in the magical Arizona Mountains, which she’s pretty convinced is

the setting for all the fairy tales. Besides writing stories and daydreaming about

ridiculously poofy dresses with sparkly glass slippers, she adores hanging out with her

family, playing board games as long as she doesn't have to read the instructions,

watching Jane Austen remakes unless they are too modern, baking without recipes

which means frequent kitchen fails and collecting fuzzy knees socks that don't match.
