While this series can be read as a stand-alone I would recommend you start at the beginning for a more full rounded read and that is my no fault of the author but a personal choice ❣️📚

Isabella is a brave and honourable girl she made a promise to her dad and she’s going to fulfil it and it’s not going to be an easy task as she’s a wanted woman …..but she knows she can rely on Tom to help

Tom and Isabella share some history so I can just imagine how he felt when she reaches out to him out the blue and it’s not a small thing she’s needing him for either

So Isabella and Tom head “ hone” hopefully without being detected but as luck would have it they’re spotted by an d friend it is he for !?

When Isabella and Tom are separated the real action and suspense starts and there were some moments I was on the edge of my seat , holding my breath …

This is a fantastic book. It follows Tom who is newly retired and is working to live his life outside of his past with the agency with his girlfriend Isabella. However, the past has a funny way of interrupting your plans. When a past case comes calling, Tom begrudgingly agrees to get involved. This past case involves a human trafficking ring, and those that he helped are now in danger again. He definitelly finds himself sucked right back into the case.
This book is so fantastically well written and is hard to put down. It is suspenseful and thrilling and filled with twists and turns. Each time I thought I knew what was coming, I was very wrong. I definitely recommend reading this book and the whole series!

This is the third book in the Tom Grant Series. It can definitely be read as a standalone but I highly recommend reading the rest of the series just because it is such a well written page turner. This book is filled with action, adventure, spying, and out and out drama. It is written in such a way that I definitely did not want to put it down.
Isabella and Tom are such well written and complicated but in a good way. They both keep the plot moving at a rapid pace. Isabella has promised her dad that she will go home. There is no telling whether she will return alive or dead when she leaves there – you see there is is a bounty on her. Tom is going with her because he doesn’t want to be without her. What happens from there is what makes this book so good. Samantha Adair does a fantastic job writing a plot that moves at a good pace that you really don’t want to stop reading. This book was filled with twists and turns. Definitely pick it up!

This is a fast-paced thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat. I would suggest reading the other books before this (this is book 6)…I did not head my own advise BUT I was able to pick up the characters and events rather quickly. I just feel that I would have had a better understanding of the enormity of everything if I would have gone back into the series and started from the beginning. I absolutely loved the characters in the book and while it can get overwhelming hearing from them all…I fully believe it’s necessary to the plot because they just add so much to it and it would be hard to do it any other way. I also liked that Tom is just your typical retired agent who just can’t let the life go and it’s through hard work and dedication that he’s able to do his job. I highly recommend picking this book (and probably the series) up if you like fast-paced, action-packed thrillers that will keep you on the edge of your seat…and if that’s not your cup of tea…branch out and try it…you might like it 😉

Lost Property is the sixth book in The Tom Grant Series. This is a Suspense Thriller that will have you on the edge of your seat turning the pages trying to figure out what is going to happen next. This author is fairly new to me and this may be the sixth book in the series but they can be read as standalones. Tom Grant finds himself in a situation where there’s danger involved but he’s also trying to figure out who can be trusted or not. The twists and turns will have you turning the pages trying to figure out what is going to happen next. I highly recommend reading this this fast paced story to find out what happens next. I’m looking forward to reading more from this Author.

Isabella is heading back home in order to keep a promise she made her father. He asked to be buried in their homeland and now that he has passed, Isabella is heading back. After escaping the dangerous and chaotic life she was involved in, she now has a huge bounty on her head and no idea who put it there. She doesn’t know who to trust as even her friends, or who she thought were friends, are acting strangely. This was a fast paced book that will keep you on the edge of your seat. The twists and turns keep you turning the pages and hoping that Isabella and Tom make it out unscathed. I have gone about reading this series by reading the last book and then the middle, but I didn’t feel too lost. I feel as though these are alright to be read as stand alone stories, however there are some instances where it would have been helpful to read the previous books for more of a back story. In any case, this was a great book.

Poor Tom thought he was going to be able to live in peace once he said he was retiring. When a couple of women show up on James’ doorstep and refuse to talk with anyone but Tom, he gets sucked back in when Isabella asks him to do this one last favor. Everything is tied to the old case he was involved in, Operation Sweetpea. Someone amongst them is leaking information that should have never gotten out and it means life or death. Will he be able to finally bring a close to Operation Sweetpea? Lost Property was my first crack at reading this series and I absolutely enjoyed it. The twists and turns kept me turning the pages to see what was going to happen next. I am definitely going to be looking for more books by this author and read the rest of the books in the series.

Tom is pulled from retirement after two girls show up only willing to talk to him. Learning there is a third girls from a group that could bring down a major kidnapping ring; it becomes quickly apparent that was no longer retired. I love thrillers with fast faced action and this book did not disappoint. I haven’t read any other books in the series but the author does a really great job at “introducing ” characters. Her descriptions effectively give sufficient background but also their personalities. I knew I was going to enjoy this book when I found it was written in character point of views. This writing style is not for everybody but it was done very well and didn’t feel overwhelming. Great read. You won’t be totally lost if you haven’t read the first books in the series but as someone who hasn’t read them, I feel like things would have made more sense if I had.

This was an absolutely fantastic thriller! I highly recommend picking up previous books, but if you happen to read this as a standalone, I believe you’ll be able to catch up with the background provided. If there was an “unputdownable” genre, this book would be at the top of the list. I ignored all my responsibilities for the day because I could not stop reading this book! I love that it is told from different points of view throughout the story, and the suspense is absolutely top notch. Tom finds himself in danger again trying to carefully figure out who he can trust and who is determined to see the end of his days. Will he be able to make it out and survive or is this finally the end of Tom? This is a gripping read that will have you in a trance from the very first chapter. Don’t pass it up or you’ll be missing out!

This is the third book in the series, but it can be read as a standalone. I didn’t pay close attention and read this one first, so I was pleased to find that I wasn’t lost without the first two books. I plan on picking them up soon though because this was an amazing read! I feel that I am pretty good at predicting what will happen in most books, but this one was a rollercoaster of unpredictable twists and turns. The flow of the story is magnificent, and I enjoyed the non-stop action and adventure. I don’t want to give anything away here, but please don’t skip this book! Lost Property is the 6th book in the Tom Grant Series, but the first one I read. I felt like I was missing out on a lot of the relationships… even after finishing, I am struggling to piece together how everyone is related. Aside from that, I really enjoyed the book. It was action packed with crime and suspense. The book is focused around a kidnapping and human trafficking ring, but it isn’t very disturbing. It more focuses on the process of tracking down the missing girls, and trying to figure out the bad guys along the way. I kind of wish the author put a little more recap into the story, as far as why Tom is recently retired. How Martha is related to him. Where he met Mischa and background on their relationship. Tom and James don’t get along, but I am not entirely sure why…. Guess I need to go back and read the first 5 books to get my answers. I enjoyed the writing style and will be adding this author to my read lists.

Tom thought he was done with that part of his life. He and Isabelle are living in a quaint house with a big yard and an older neighbor that likes to bring Tom soup. Then he receives a call that threatens to drag him back into the black hole of sex trafficking and saving the lost. This is a suspenseful book that keeps you guessing who is double-crossing who. This is the first book I’m reading by this author. I was worried about starting a series in book 6. However, it didn’t take long before I was following each of the characters sharing their side of what happened to understand the situation. Tom Grant had retired but gets sucked back into help a young woman held in a human trafficking situation. The story is fast paced, action, and so much more. I’m sad that I am reading the last book in the series. I’d love to be able to read the whole series from the beginning. Great world and character building by this talented author.

This is the 6th book in the Tom Grant Series. This book was enjoyable as a standalone however I feel if I read them from the beginning I would get even more enjoyment out of the characters and the story.
This is a crime thriller. Filled with dangers, twists and turns, hidden agendas and a feeling of not knowing who you can trust.
After leaving his position in the agency Tom is dragged back against his will when his ex partner has 2 woman turn up on his door. Both of them are victims of the human trafficking ring and there is a 3rd woman who holds information on the human trafficking ring that is in danger.
Now it is a race against time to save the other woman and stop the boss of the human trafficking ring before she can harm anyone else.

This is a fast paced gripping story that I couldn’t put down. I am looking forward to going back in the series and reading from the beginning as this type of series is definately what I enjoy reading.

This is the sixth book in the Tom Grant series, and while it can be a standalone, I highly recommend reading them in order as it helps with character development and backstory. As with the other books in this series, it is full of plot twists, turns, and danger. This time around, Tom is trying to enjoy his retirement after a life of running, hiding, and overall drama that the life of an agent entails. He simply just wants to live in peace and leave his past behind him with Isabella. Poor, poor Tom…life is never that simple. When 2 women from a previous case show up (Melody and Annika), he immediately wants to turn them away, he is done with that part of his life. Isabella convinces him to talk to them, one last favor. This decision throws Tom right back into the life he so desperately is trying to escape, and now he is dead center in the middle of a human trafficking ring and everyone is in danger. Can Tom escape this time, with everyone safe, or will his career finally catch up to him?

This is the third book in the Tom Grant series and I really liked the continuous action with twists and turns all the way through. This is my first book by this author and was able to read it as a standalone, even though it is the third book, but I will be going back to read the others to see if there is any further character development or backstory to enhance this read. There were a couple instances where I was lost or confused on details, so that is why I want to go back and read the others (plus it is a really good story!). In this book, Isabella’s father has passed away and she plans to take his body back to her homeland of Belarus, a country bordered by Russia and Ukraine. This alone is dangerous since Isabella has a bounty for her capture, and she is not sure who put the bounty on her or why. When circumstances brings a childhood friend back into her life, things are not as they seem, and he is not the same boy she remembers. Threats against Tom makes her delve back into the life she had thought she left behind, and now she has to find her escape in a dangerous world where even her friends may not be trusted.

This was my first foray into this series. Although the story is great with lots of twists and criss-crosses to keep you guessing, I can definitely see where having the background on the characters makes a difference. This story is well-written and a fantastic read.

I started off thinking that there were too many POVs telling this story. But I later realized that one would miss so much of the story if not told from the multiple POVs. Each character is written so real. There were no crazy gazillionaires or super spies with really cool gadgets, just hardworking agents and retired agents trying to keep some important people from getting lost in the world of evil and bad people.

Tom is trying to enjoy his retirement from whatever secret service with no name he worked at and find some peace in his life after seeing all the evil that man hath wrought. When two women from his past that are attached to memories that haunt him, Tom gets pulled into finding a third woman to keep her safe while trying to protect the other two.

Not knowing who he can trust except his former team that he doesn’t want to put in danger, Tom is practically completing this on his own. His stubborn teammates come along for the ride and help him. When one of his own gets mixed up with the bad guys, Tom is more determined to keep all three of the women and his team safe.

So much excitement. So much action. So much much. Fast moving. Never slows down. Who is really an ally? One one way to find out…read this book!

Both Melody and Annika are wanted for the information that they know. With their handler dead, there is only one person they can trust and that is Tom. Tom, however, is out of the game… he’s done. Until…. he gets a call from James asking for help. Isabella is thrown into her past with the emergence of the two girls running from their “owner”. With agencies working hard to bring down the crime ring, can Operation Sweetpea finally be over? With leaks and betrayals at every turn, the race to end it all is proving to be costly.

I enjoyed reading the end of this series. There was so much going on and happening, but I was able to keep track of it all without feeling overwhelmed or lost. The author did a great job of tying up loose ends and wrapping up the storyline. The twists were perfect and kept me guessing. I was very pleased with end and how it all played out.

This is the first book in this series that I’ve read and I highly recommend that the books are read in numerical order to have a better understanding of the story at hand. As I started reading this book, I was a bit lost in the details. Some stories I’ve read give out some details along the way and this one gives very little so you are forewarned. Besides getting the content of the story at hand, the story was pretty good and intriguing. The story takes place with Tom and Isabella, whose father has recently passed away and plans to take his body back home to Belarus. The major difficulty in doing so for Isabella is the bounty out for her capture. The plan is to go there and back to London in five days time with the help of Tom during the journey. But when she is discovered back home, she ends up being separated from Tom and led into a life she was running away from. The only way to escape is through dangerous means and hoping that the right people can be trusted to handle the task at hand.

The book cover art immediately made me feel as if I was about to watch a scary movie or read an extremely scary intense suspenseful book. I began reading this and did not want to put the book down, again due to the storyline being just as intense and suspenseful as I expected. This book follows Tom, a newly retired agent who simply wants to live his life outside of the agency and with his love, Isabella. However, when two young ladies involved with a previous case contact Tom’s agency friends demanding his immediate attention, his immediate reaction is to ignore or reject. However, when Isabella asks him to do one last favor and speak to the young ladies, he begrudgingly agrees. This is when Tom’s life takes a turn. The author then introduces you to the secret mission Tom previously was involved with that revolved around a tragic human trafficking ring. In his attempt to limit the amount of people involved with this off-the-books scenario, Tom finds that everyone involved and their loved ones are in danger.

You follow the adventure to find the location of a few of the victims of the tragic ring, and gather as much intel as possible on the folks involved with the expansive trafficking network. While the reader will find themselves on the edge of their seat, I think the thrilling conclusion of this book will leave them wondering what is next.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and the creation of these incredibly complex characters. I cannot wait to catch up w/ the entire series and follow the author’s success due to their incredibly creative gift of story telling.
