What an absolutely fantastic start to what I know will be a truly amazing series. Savage and Dani are such strong characters with immediate chemistry that is off the charts! Their first meeting had me laughing and completely hooked at the same time! This author has created wonderful characters that I am looking forward to getting to know even more as the series develops and a fantastic storyline filled intrigue, heart and steam!! I absolutely loved this and can’t wait to read more about the Hawke family!!

Wow. Very unique, very enticing. Savage has his own secret that he doesn’t tell Danika until she is rather invested in their connection. Danika ends up having her own problems come full circle, and get her into a lot of trouble. Even though they meet under upsetting circumstances, they have a connection neither one could deny, no matter how hard either one of them try. Read this book. It is full of friendship, love, attraction, and amazingly descriptive hot scenes.
Savage secret throws me for a loop. I was not expecting it. Danika handles it a lot better than I think I would. Then again you can’t help to love who you love.
Savage Collision is book one in the Hawke Family series by Gwyn McNamee. I was first introduced to this author when reading the Scandalous Slip series and was so happy I discovered her. She is a witty, descriptive and extremely talented. Savage Collision was a more serious story that instantly grabbed my attention.
Dani had sass and attitude aplenty, and Savage feels that full force of it from the very first meeting. Savage is astounded and captivated. Their story is so edgy and fraught with danger and suspense. One thing blatantly obvious is the intense attraction. The chemistry is off the charts and I was drawn tight in anticipation. The drawing magnetism that is apparent between them is its own living, breathing entity, and left me a quivering mess of emotion.
Savage Collision is an amazing introduction into the Hawke family. Dani and Savage’s journey was electric, inspiring and arousing. The secondary characters I cannot wait to get to know more of and continue this dangerously addictive series. 5 stars

Savage is dreamy. A bad boy with so many soft spots. I couldn’t seem to put this one down. Dani was so out spoken and unapologetic. I enjoyed watching them together. Reading their growth. Not only as individuals but as a couple. Savage had to trust and Dani had to give patience. The author really has something going with this family. The characters are all string and independent but better together. I couldn’t live looking over my shoulders. I would die from stress. But these characters handle it well. Reviewed by @gguerrero89

Danika Eriksson, an investigative reporter for the Times can’t get a hold of her baby sister, when she finds out she is stripping at The Hawkeye Club she is beyond angry and goes on a rescue mission, she is convinced that somehow her sister was coerced into dropping out of college and taking to the pole for money. Danika is a tough as nails, take no prisoners kind of woman, she has no filter when it comes to running her mouth. She gets all she needs from men with one night stands and doesn’t want anything do with relationships. She’s currently working on trying to take down the head of the biggest crime syndicate in New Orleans who she has found ties in somehow with the Mayor.
Savage Hawke, owner of The Hawkeye Club, a high class gentlemen’s club, with very strict rules, he works hard to protect his reputation as well as his girls. He lost his dad when he was young and stepped in as sort of a father figure to his 3 sisters and younger brother as well as be as supportive as he could to his Mom.
Danika storms straight into Savage’s office at the club ready to do battle to rescue her baby sister from this man’s clutches, as soon as she sees him she is taken aback by the way her body is responding to him, but she stays strong and tears into him anyway. He is immediately captivated by her, her fiery attitude and no filter take him by surprise and he wants her. He knows he shouldn’t pursue her, when she learns of all the secrets from his past she will run away as fast as she can, but he can’t help himself….
When Danika can’t get this man out of her mind and receives a dinner invitation she wants to decline, but she can’t and their time together leaves her needing so much more. When some of his secrets are revealed her need to run is almost too much to ignore and she does just that, but she finds out quickly that what she wants and what she needs are two completely different things. Will his secrets drive her away forever or make him drive her away all on his own? Can he give her what she needs to satisfy her wants and desires? What happens when the assignment she is working on goes south really fast and to her surprise he may be the only one that can save her, but this could also be what drives her further away.
I absolutely loved this book and can’t wait to dive into the next. When the book first started I wasn’t sure if I’d like Danika, I thought at first I’d have trouble with her coldness and views on men/sex and her no filter but I was quickly and pleasantly surprised that not far into the story it actually worked and I loved her very quickly and I can’t even find words for how much I fell in love with Savage. This is my first book by this author but will in no way be my last. I loved how the story flowed and there was no fluff added in to just fill pages, every word was perfect. I loved it!!!!!

Danika Eriksson is a woman on a mission, a mission to save her baby sister from the man who has seemingly drawn her into the seedy side of life, a strip club. She is like a dog with a bone and is hell bent on giving the man what for. She is intelligent, feisty and outspoken and not one to back down. When she comes face to face with one Savage Hawke she gives him a piece of her mind an unapologetic piece at that. What she didn’t expect however was her attraction to him. I love the way our heroine doesn’t stay away from a good confrontation and speaks her own mind especially when it comes to those she loves most.
Savage is certainly surprised when confronted by this woman who waltzed her way into his club to give him a piece of her mind. Hell he may even like it. God knows his past has been one hell of a struggle with a monumental secret. But he has built a good life and has come so far in a few short years.
Together they could be good but will the threats be too much and could a good thing be over before it even starts? Will Savage be able to save his girl or will she be lost forever? Can Savage overcome his past to really see his future? Has Dani bitten off more than she can chew?
I love the way things develop between our two main characters, especially when she realises Savage is really a good guy an exceptionally sexy one at that. I also enjoyed the little twists the author weaved within the story. It is filled with love, romance, suspense and regret. There were moment when I was biting my nails as things develop but there were also times of emotion that threatened to spill over.It is certainly a rough road for these two and I was rooting for them all the way. I also loved that our heroine was so freely able to speak her mind and what she actually said often had me laughing out loud. I can’t wait to see what the Gwynn has in store for us in the future books of this series.
Savage Collision is the first book in the Hawke Family series by Gwyn McNamee. The author has said that it can be read as a standalone and it is true – you get the beginning and conclusion of the relationship between Savage and Danika. But as the author says, we will meet them also in the other books in the series and this book introduces us to the next book’s main characters. It is a great story with many what the hell moments! You sit back and relax and start enjoying the sexual chemistry and banter between Savage and Danika and bam, you are hit with a twist from the left! Something that you did not see coming! I loved the book as it played on all of my emotions – I cried, I got angry, I got frustrated, I laughed, I … well, you get the picture! The couple has to overcome many obstacles, there are many secrets and as we know, secrets are never good and at times, they can be deadly! I recommend the book to anyone who likes alpha men, kick ass women, crazy twists, hot and steamy scenes … I promise you an orgasmic ride (you get?). It was my first encounter with Gwyn McNamee and she did not disappoint me, I am looking forward to Gabe and Skye’s story and I am wondering who would be the leads in the third book … Gwyn has written a great story with a lot of emotions and an engaging storyline and you simply need to take couple of hours to read it!
Savage Collision by Gwyn McNamee is an incredible mix of romance, love, lust, heat, and just the right amount of suspense to keep it interesting. It’s a story about two people who each have their own struggles, hang ups, and walls coming together in the most unexpected way.
Savage Hawke is a man’s man, good looking, powerful, successful and sexy. He exudes all the power you would want in a partner, rough around the edges but a natural born protector.
Danika is the type of woman who walks into a room and commands the attention of everyone there. A woman who puts up with nothing and let’s you know she’s in charge. She has a confidence about her that make the women jealous and the men pant. A woman who will give you a run for your money in the control department.
When their worlds collide in the most unexpected way it takes your breath away. As you read this story you can feel the tension in the room every time they are together. You feel the disgust, the passion, the lust, the heat, the anger. Savage runs a very unsavory business and Danika can’t wrap her head around it. She immediately jumps to the conclusion that he is a disgusting example of a human being. However, you know what they say about don’t judge a book by its cover.
Danika has a job of her own that is becoming increasingly dangerous and she will soon discover just how dangerous. Each of these characters have a past that has built them into who they are now. There are secrets, tragedies, family dynamics, friends, enemies and so much more. This book will take you on a full range of emotions from laughter, to tears, from heat, to ice, from hatred, to love. It will make you stop and think about so many aspects, about what you can give, what you can accept, the true meaning about what love is and isn’t about.
The author did a perfect job of adding more than one layer to the story. She has begun to build a foundation for the secondary characters and you can’t wait to see where they go and if they will show up in future books. I hope this will be the first in a very long line of books with these characters.

Oh what can I tell you about Savage Collision?! I can tell you that there are secrets and information withheld for the purest of reasons. I can tell you this story will break your heart just a little and very nicely put it back together again. I can tell you McNamee can write a really good story! McNamee introduces us to Danika by showing us that she is a sister not to be toyed with. When Danika thinks her sister Nora is in trouble, all bets are off and you do not want to be in her way. Savage, the perceived reason that Nora is in trouble, gets an up-close and personal look at Danika’s protective side! Danika plans to save her sister from Savage and his club but she doesn’t except the owner to look and sound and smell like Savage Hawke. Savage has always had women throw themselves at him. His money, his body, his connections. They all want something. When Danika comes busting in his office he is sure she wants something too. Savage hopes she wants what he does. He isn’t expecting his own body to respond like it does. He can’t believe the fire he sees in Danika just from their first encounter. And boy oh boy is there fire! This story had me laughing, crying, and even panting! These two are super hot together, but as with all good things, this too will end, right? With the secrets they each hide and the danger lurking around can Danika and Savage really be it for each other? I for one have always said communication is the key to everything, McNamee has proven me wrong with this story. Some things really are on a need to know basis. I love being wrong, this time. I highly recommend this story!
