This was such a neat read! So many authors in one place. These are all stories about survival and it is interesting to see how each author tells stories in their own way. If you are into post-apocalyptic tales, this is the book for you. Story collection books are a new reading type for me but after this, I will definitely be reading more!

I ‘binge read’ this anthology of apocalyptic and dystopian stories, each one very different, but all set in an apocalyptic world. Each story in the collection highlights the traits of courage and perseverance against adversity. In each story there is a hero or heroine who overcomes their fears and suffering to bring hope and salvation to others. This was definitely the case in, Courtney Konstantin, story ‘Babysitter of the Apocalypse’, in which an alcoholic bar owner and loner is left being responsible for two young children. Their mother leaves them with him to ‘babysit’, and never returns, as the zombies take over the city. This short story was a real page turner and had me gripped from start to finish. The whole anthology had me hooked, and I definitely recommend this collection, but maybe don’t read it at night!

What another incredible book by one of my favourite authors. Everything this author writes is just amazing and this book is right up there with some of the best. I was engrossed in this book immediately and had to read it all in one sitting. I wanted to see how things would turn out, what would happen to the characters. The book is exciting and gripping, I was pulled into it from page one. This author never fails to write a book that hits the mark perfectly. I love her writing style and how each book is always different from the last. This book is fantastic and an absolute must read
What a wonderful and emotional horror novella to start out the spooky season. This is a very quick paced read. If zombies or skin things are a trigger for you be warned! Lila and her mother Amy are some of the last left alive after an outbreak hits. This is descriptive in all the right ways and I cannot wait to see what other horror ideas come from this author.
I have been a long time fan of this author for quite some time, they have a gift of bringing everything that they write to life. I love how the visual words by this author are always perfectly done, and everything from the characters and setting of the story comes to life right before your eyes!
This book alone, was impossible to put down as well as stop reading book. The book is a fast and quick read, but the book itself is nothing short of being purely epic. The book had a lot of action, and suspense that kept me wanting to know more. Great descriptive words and uses as always by this author. As usual, the author had a way with how they wrote the book! I very much enjoy it. I kept flipping pages and wanting to know more. This book alone had become one of my personal favorites by this author! Loved it!
This book was full of intrigue and suspense. The writing was gripping and was a real treat for the eyes to envision! Without a doubt, a must read! not one to be passed by any means! I highly recommend it!
This is book 1 in The Serrulata Saga. I really enjoyed this fantasy adventure. This story is fast paced and engaging which keeps the reader hooked. The world building is amazing and the writing is so good that you can actually close your eyes and imagine you are witnessing things as they happen. Our four main characters Leora,Roland Shallowbrook, Lady Aurora Verte and the Leopold, are all uniquely different and they all have a story to tell. They all come from different ways of life but when they combined together it just works. Sometimes when there are so many main characters and back stories the book can get confusing but that wasn’t the case with this one. As well as fighting to protect themselves in the present day there is also secrets from the past as well. This story is full of magic, danger and adventure and I can’t wait to carry on their story in the next book.

This was a read that gripped my heart and held it till I reached the final word on the final page! I could not put this book down! It gave a lot, and made my mind wonder as well as be intrigued all the way through!
I was taken in with the story, I love the different characters that were a part of the novel. Each was different, but what made them different greatly added to the complex attire of the story! I love the dystopian aspect to the story as well, and seeing the world for what it was, in a different light. I very much enjoyed the author’s writing. I was completely taken back by how they created and brought the story to life. Impressed? Yes I was. I really enjoyed this book and look forward to book 21 Honestly I loved this book!
Great and thrilling read. Not one that is easy to put down. You connect with the story and characters, and you don’t want to let go. For sure a high recommendation from myself for this must read adventure!

I enjoyed reading this book. This is an author that I have loved reading from the first book I picked up by her. I enjoy her writing skills as well as her attention to details that make her stories realistic. Her characters are unique and creative. This book is no different. It is a creative journey that kept me coming back for more. This is a shorter story that certainly packs a punch with adventure. I enjoyed how the characters pulled me into their story with ease. They have great growth as well as the plot throughout the story. This is an easy and entertaining story to read. I really enjoyed this new book by this author. I highly recommend this book and this author.
What a fascinating and intriguing book! I found the characters so relatable due to their intricate and diverse qualities/personalities. The story is so well-written and engaging that I couldn’t put it down. I had to find out what happened next. I grew up learning about the Hale-Bopp Comet and it was cool to see it involved in a story. The action and drama in the story keeps you totally engaged. This is a story that I am excited to see develop more throughout the series.

This is not your usual zombie apocalypse book. It’s also a story of redemption and mother/daughter love. There is no stronger love than sacrificing yourself to rescue your daughter from a buried subway and possible zombies. I found the story so intriguing that I couldn’t put it down. I had to spend every free minute reading it to find out what happened next. The action, drama and romance is wonderful in this story. Such a well-written story, this the best zombie story I have read in a long time. The characters are well-developed and well-thought out. The ending throws me for a loop but soo, soo very good. You have to read this book. I would give it more than 5 stars if I could.

I love dystopian and apocalypse stories and this collection did not disappoint! There are so many different types of stories in this collection; there is a tale for everyone! The stories were original and intense, keeping the reader on the edge of their seat. Many of the adventures were so well-written and frighteningly realistic that I got chills. I loved that the stories were not connected so they could be read in any order (and reread whenever I want). The thing that stuck out about all of the stories in this collection was the sense of connection and mutual support between the characters. The teamwork between characters helped keep them going. This is definitely a must read collection for fans of apocalyptic, dystopian stories! Overall, I was very impressed and will be looking for many of these authors in the future.

These are such cute stories for kids! They are very easy to read so young children will be able to learn how to read them quickly and they will love them. The pictures are adorable, even on the Kindle format, which is very nice. The stories are about 2 dinosaur friends working together to solve 2 very different issues. In the first story, we have a volcano about to blow and Spike wants to give the volcano a necklace, while the other Conifer wants to run away! In the second story, there is a forest fire, but Conifer, has laid 3 eggs, and she only has 2 hands. Her friend Spike comes to help her, but he walks on 4 legs. They have to work together if they want to make it out safe!

A Present for the Volcano I thought this was a great children’s book. It was short and to the point with just enough repetition to help those that are just getting acquainted with reading. Even in just a few pages it showed being mindful and kind even with a big, angry, scary volcano!
Saving Conifer’s Eggs Spike and Conifer are at it again in another short and to the point book about problem solving and friendship. I had a lot of fun reading this short adventure with my 6 year old. Added bonus, we love the illustrations.

What an amazing collection of stories! I love reading apocalypse stories and post-apocalyptic stories because they have this tendency to be so unique! None of these disappointed in any way, shape or form! One of the themes I noticed was the teamwork, the way that characters banded together, working with each other to survive whatever terror inducing threat they faced. My son and I LOVE to read these books together! The stories are adorable. In these stories Conifer and her friend Spike work together to solve problems and learn the meaning of friendship! A Present for the Volcano finds Conifer and Spike trying to figure out how to make the volcano happy so it won’t erupt. Saving Conifer’s Eggs finds them working together to save themselves from a fire. The stories encourage communication and teamwork, which are good skills for children to learn. The illustrations are vibrant and inviting, really bringing the stories to life! I am so glad we discovered these stories! They will be in our regular reading rotation from now on!

This story was so fun and adventurous, my six year old simply adored it. There are two stories in this collection and both of them were full of bright and vibrant colors, a great story for children, and of course adventure. I originally picked these up because I thought they were cute, but lately my six year old has developed a love of dinosaurs so these were perfect for bedtime. A Present for The Volcano speaks volumes about perspective and perceptions. Conifer was worried all day and just wanted to get out of the situation, but her friend did what they could to make the situation better. They prepared and took action, and while it was questionable how it would turn out, Conifer decided to trust her friend and help. And in the end, she was able to see from a different point of view. These stories are adorable. Mama Conifer T-Rex and her ankylosaurus friend work together when a problem comes up. Even when things look dark, they find a way. The artwork is amazing too. I love the textures and the colors. I definitely recommend both!

What a fantastic mix of stories this collection is made up of. I was familiar with a couple of the authors when I started many but part of what drew me to this book was the chance to discover a few new ones too. I loved how all of the books has a completely different feel about them. It made it so easy to move from one straight into the next. The idea behind this book – and the cause it is supporting – was enough to make me pick it up. The authors, and the stories they created, is what kept me reading. This is a brilliant anthology that I would urge everyone to read.

I love when I get a new book by this author to enjoy with my children as they always connect with the stories so well. These two books were no different. My daughter loves these books as they are easy for her to understand and follow along with. She really becomes invested in the stories and requests to read them multiple times. These two books were the first time my son has also shown an interest. He loved the pictures of the Dinosaurs and kept pointing to them trying to ‘roar’. This author has created two stories that appeal to the younger audience so well, and spans across multiple age ranges with ease. These are fantastic books and even I can’t wait to read them again.

I love when authors come together to help out worthy causes and this collection is doing just that. I watched a doco on TV and the tributes from people he has helped, for the work that Gary Sinise does and you can’t beat a good cause like the Gary Sinise Foundation. To them he is their hero.
In this collection we get 19 apocalyptic and dystopian stories by some incredible authors. DJ Cooper, Boyd Craven, TL Payne, Mark Tufo, Millie Copper, L. Douglas Hogan, Maira Dawn, Derek Shupert, Javan Bonds, N.A. Broadley, Bruno Miller, Ray Wenck, David Simpson, Austin Chambers, Heather Carson, AJ Newman, Courtney Konstantin, DA Carey, Marcus Richardson, Kellee L. Green.
There are so many good stories and too many to name individually but a couple of standout ones for me are:
Courtney Konstantin’s vivid writing style draws the reader in. Now I am not going to share any spoilers but I am going to say that I have not read anything from this author that I have not liked and this one is no different. I only wish the story was longer.
Boyd Craven III was a new author to me but his story is well crafted and had me on the edge of my seat, all the way through. The unique storyline kept me intrigued and turning the pages to see what happened next.
Derek Shupert’s tale is compelling and you feel as though you are right there with the characters. It is a very interesting story line indeed. Go check out his other work at some stage.
If you love a thrilling and intensely gripping stories then this is one that should be on your reading list.

This was a bit of a bitter-sweet read for me as I desperately wanted to know how the series would conclude, but I also wasn’t quite ready to say goodbye. Even though I have loved the other books in the series, I have to say that this is probably the best book to come out of the series… the author definitely left the best till last. Sessrúmnir is the fifth and final book in the Antipodes series by T.S. Simons. It is a post-apocalyptic, dystopian story with sci-fi elements, romance, adventure, discovery, action, danger, drama, friendship, challenges, Norse Mythology, environmental/sustainability/community messages, love, loss, surprising developments, tension, mystery, and emotion. So much has happened since we embarked on this adventure back in book one- but we still have to face these final hurdles. It has been six years since the events of the previous book, Caim, and the peaceful existence that they have enjoyed is under threat by an unknown force. Their children are attacked… peaceful existence no more…. so they will need to pull together in order to protect everything they hold dear. Buckle up as the tension levels are ramped up and we are thrust into dangers unknown. Now this, right here, is how you wrap up a series! Such a bitter-sweet moment! Looking forward to seeing what Ms. Simon’s has in store for us next! Happy Reading!

I loved this set of stories with a passion. The book had stories that really sprung to life even if it contained stories of the undead! This was a collection of stories that were right up my alley! Loved it!
I loved how each story was a true fight for survival, no matter which way they came. Each story had its own impact and resolution to see another day. I was hooked and intrigued all the way through. I really enjoyed the author, Courtney Konstantin, the story by this amazing author really stuck with me. And made me turn those pages to see how everything would turn out! As we all would think, in a world these stories are set in, tomorrow is jot promised, or even guaranteed for that matter. Loved this book!
The collection was a must read for sure and a collection I am proud to have in my own personal library to go back and enjoy whenever I wash. Thank you to these wonderful authors for creating such a spell binding collection of stories. This was a must read for sure, and I highly recommend!

The characters are delightful and the illustrations are gorgeous. This is a book I will read to my great-niece – she will love them!

This 2 in 1 book is so cute. Both books are about 2 friends, Conifer and Spike. These 2 stories were both about how together friends can face difficult or scary things. I loved how in each book the one struggling was different, showing kids that sometimes we need to help our friends and sometimes we need to let them help us. My grandkids adore dinosaurs and I can’t wait to read this to them.

Although Conifer wasn’t sure it would help, she stuck by her friend and helped him. In Saving Conifer’s Eggs, the two put their heads together to save her eggs from the forest fire. Both books teach children that when you cooperate, you can accomplish a lot. Both stories have valuable lessons that young children should learn and honestly which child doesn’t love dinosaurs.

Man I wish my children were younger cause I would definitely have them read this book. This is s sweet little book that will help children learn about friendship and has loveable dinosaur characters. The author has a very unique idea and brings her characters to life. This is just the right length for a great bed time story or two. I really would recommend this book to anyone with very small children.
