I have to say In The Arms of Morpheus: A Speculative Romance (Antiheroes Series Book 2) by Gaia B Amman was not quite what I expected. That is not a bad thing I’m just saying it wasn’t exactly what I expected. It read like a mystery book all the way through it and I was trying desperately to figure it out before I got to the end. Needless to say, it didn’t end the way that I planned. However, the characters are very interesting, and their interactions are all solid. I think the thing that I like best about this book was the interactions between the characters. So much misreading of intention, so much fear of being clear about how you feel. The fear of rejection, the fear of commitment. But isn’t that what we are all made of. Watching Tasha and Josh come to grips with their feelings was quite the roller-coaster. I especially liked the historical notes at the end.

Man I was just hooked from the first chapter. I have read other books by this author and again I was not let down. I really like how the characters just really come together and that there is just the right amount of drama to fill out with the romance and that they compliment one another.
I really like how the chemistry between Josh and Tasha unfolds. I really like the complexity of things within the story as this just adds to everything. I really like the use of Native American culture lore. I really like how the author is able to bring a creative use of it that both is respectful and adds to the story. I really look forward to reading more from this author in the future.

I have really grown to like the works of Gaia B Amman, and when I saw this second book in the Antiheroes was available I knew I needed to check it out. The way that she approaches the sci-fi aspects make it seem realistic, as if I am transported into this very possible alternate world that could happen and feels so real. It makes me feel as if I have embarked on an adventure by the time I finish one of her novels. This one was no different.
We follow Tasha and Josh in this book, and boy do they have quite the adventure together. I won’t divulge details but I would read book one to get a feel for how things are going into this one. It is one that will keep you on the edge of your seat waiting to find out how these two will come out in the end. I am looking forward to getting my hands on the next one and taking another reprieve into a new world and adventure.

This is a very descriptive book that grips you with the way Tasha dreams and in such detail. The way the author approaches the subjects of dreams and it’s so beautifully written by the author. You can’t help but want to save Tasha from the grips of these dreams and the bigot boss in them but there is a hold that won’t let loose. I loved that about this book because it’s so emotionally driven as well. These characters are lovable, their stories entwined is intense; such intensity that it seems scary, twisted but mysterious, original and entertaining. The truth is this is so much of a page turner and very easy to read.

Some books take several pages to get me hooked, this one got me right away. The way Gaia B Amman writes this romance/mythical/suspenseful tale makes you realize that it’s getting better as you read it. The characters are wonderful, smart, independent, and complex all at the same time. Tasha and Josh’s relationship is very relatable which gets you to connect to the story even more. Ms. Amman is a new author I will be adding to my list to follow. Can’t wait to read some of her other books soon.

In the Arms of Morpheus: A Speculative Romance (Antiheroes Book 2) by Gaia B. Amman. Once again this author has a way with words that hooks me from beginning to end. This story was no less amazing than all the rest I’ve read. The characters pull you into their world and you can easily feel the connection to them and their story. This may be on the shorter side of a story but that didn’t hinder and of the importance of the impact I felt from it. The author writes in a way that you feel everything the characters are. It’s a well developed storyline and I loved every minute I spent lost in the pages. Four stars and highly recommended!

Gaia B Amman she is a go-to author of mine and having read all her previous book I knew that her incredible writing style would once again captivate me with this book. This is an easy to read book with an effortless storyline, that has adventure, romance, twists and turns and it’s them that make this read vivid and real and really makes you believe you are there alongside the characters. I loved following Josh & Tasha’s story, they were relatable & real and they had amazing chemistry that kept me wanting more. I can’t wait to read more by this author to see what she brings next!

In The Arms of Morpheus: A Speculative Romance by Gaia B Amman is the second book in the Antiheroes Series. This is a relatively short book but delivers a punch. I will not tell anything concerning the plot because there is nothing worse than having a book ruined. The story combines speculative fiction, mythology, and more. I have read many of Ms. Amman’s books and this does not disappoint. She is able to spin a story which is completely convincing and realistic despite the fantastical elements. The characters in this book are full of depth and help make this an interesting and intriguing story. I am always excited to read a new book by this author and this did not disappoint. I look forward to the next of this series.

This was a good love story with loads of twists and turns which doesn’t give it a predictable plot for a romance.
When Tasha starts getting weird dreams and develops feelings for a guy in them she contacts Josh to help her solve the puzzle of who this guy is.
As a scientist Tasha cant understand why these aren’t just dreams and how it can include dream worlds as well as reality. With the help of Josh they delve into her dreams to unravel the mystery.
Both her and Josh dont do relationships but as their feelings grow can they learn to be together or will one of them end up broken hearted and what role does Tasha dream guy play?

In the Arms of Morpheus, a Speculative Romance (Antiheroes, #2) by Gaia B. Amman was a great 5 star read. I was once again pulled in by this author’s writing and couldn’t put it down.
This is Tasha and Josh’s story and it was great. Their chemistry came off the pages, their story has danger, romance and so much more. As the story develops we get twists and turns with a few secrets thrown in for good measure.
What will happen when Tasha’s secret comes out?
Overall this was a great book that I don’t want to give anything away in my review. You will have to read for yourselves to see how great it is. All of the secondary characters added a great element to the story. The author’s writing takes you to another world and makes you feel like you’re in the story with the characters. If you’re looking for a sci-fi with romance, adventure and so much more I highly recommend you read this book and series.

This story is a romance but so much more. There is a mythological science-fiction feel to the story. Once I started reading the book, I did not realize how personally involved I would become in this story. The story is thought-provoking because of the different elements. The characters are complex and complicated and make the story fun. Tasha and Josh have a relationship that goes and back and forth. There is drama, danger, chemistry, and suspense which makes this story interesting and a fun read. The story moves fast and keeps getting more interesting as it moves along. I will warn you to read between the lines to add depths to the story. I highly recommend this story for you to see what happens between Tash and Josh.

It is an interesting, gripping and original tale that has sci fi aspects to it. The story is well written, and it is easy to be drawn to these complex characters. As usual with Gaia’s stories there is a lot more to the characters and the story that she slowly reveals like peeling back an onion. She is also not one for shying away from taboo topics, sensitive topics and issues and she doesn’t disappoint in this story.

In the Arms of Morpheus, a Speculative Romanceis the second book in the Antiheroes seriesby Gaia B. Amman. When this book showed up on my recommended book list, it immediately grabbed my attention with the dramatic and intriguing cover, as well as the interesting title. I have read all of Ms. Amman’s books, so I knew it would be good- of course I let my fingers do a little one- clicking, then dove right in. This is such a thought provoking and engrossing story full of sci-fi elements, emotion, chemistry, spice, history, mythology, mysteriousness, suspense, drama, danger, secrets, sensitive issues, social + political commentary and messages – as well as other hot topics; and the complex and multidimensional characters I have now come to expect from Ms. Amman. There is a definite mysteriousness about the story- and I quickly realised that there was quite a lot more to the storyline, and characters than first appeared. But I would expect nothing less from such a creative mind such as Gaia B. Amman. I don’t want to give anything away- so I won’t go into the plot here- except to say that I think it is one of those stories that you are better off diving into a little ‘blind’- the blurb gives enough information to whet your appetite. So, if you love thought-provoking originality in your stories- woven with mythological elements, sci-fi, and sizzling romance, then you won’t want to miss out on reading this book! This is definitely my favourite book of Ms. Amman’s, to date- and I am looking forward to seeing what she does next.

I have been really fortunate to have read a few books by this author now, I absolutely love her work. Her writing is a true pleasure to read and I find that it never takes me long to read one her wonderfully detailed stories. I really enjoyed the first book in this series so I couldn’t wait for this one and it didn’t disappoint. Again I was transported into a science fiction type mythology world. I really liked the characters Tasha and Josh – they were likeable and I liked the connection that they had with each other. They had a nice chemistry between them that felt genuine. As I’ve come to expect from this author the story was richly detailed and I could easily imagine what I was reading.
As always I 100% recommend this author – her writing is fantastic and In the Arms of Morpheus was no exception.

I enjoyed this book. This is an author that I have been impressed with her writing style and skills from the first book that I have read. This book is no different. She brings the story to life and makes it easy to read. The characters are well developed and really made the story for me. This is one of my favorites by this author as I am sure it will be yours too. This is a romance story between Tasha and Josh. I loved their characters, I felt part of their story. They are strong, relatable and connectable. Their chemistry is great and kept me turning pages fast. This is a shorter story and it brings heat and adventure, you don’t want to miss this one. The story has a science fiction feel to it as well as mixing in mythology. It is a book that pulled me in from the beginning and I was hooked. I loved reading about the characters of Tasha and Josh. When they are together there is strong chemistry between them. I grew to care about them with every chapter that I read. There is a push and pull that goes on between them that had me wondering how everything would turn out for them. There are other additional characters that I enjoyed reading about the part that they play in the book. The story includes danger, dream walking, and romance. This book is a fun read. Out of my normal genre, but I enjoyed the cyber world of it all and was pleasantly sucked right into the story. The main character, Augustina, or Saint Augustina as she is known as, is a very strong, brave and independent cyber spy. She is cyber enhanced, but through it all, still remains more human than “saint”. Throughout the book we get to see a glimpse of her past which sheds some light on the person she is today. I really liked watching her being paired up with Saint Benedict, even though she is always wary of him, the two seem to be more friends than enemies. The characters are all very well written, the story is perfect, and the trouble the pair have to go through is intense and fun to watch. You can definitely read this book as a stand alone but, from personal experience, I would highly recommend reading from book 1, I didn’t, but I sure am going back to read the others after reading this gem of a book.

5 Stars Joined: Book One by Mara Gan is Science Fiction/Romance book . I was drawn in from the beginning and had a hard time putting it down. There’s a little bit of everything from action to danger and even romance.The author’s style of writing and her characters are almost flawless. Her attention to detail was incredible and I literally felt like I was right there with them. At times I was on a emotional rollercoaster ride and others I was on the edge of my seat trying to figure out what happens next. This is a story about a woman who all she wanted to do was sit around and read books, help others and play the sports she loved to play. Problem is duty gets in the way of her doing that. Her talent of reading minds is what she wants to do most times she can tell what’s going to happen before it happens. She’s next in line to rule the galaxy and there are others who want her assassinated.She doesn’t think she needs protection and her protector has anger problems. Other problem with him being her protector is she thinks she’s falling for him. Find out what happens next in this must read Book. I can’t wait to see what’s next .

Mara Gan did a wonderful job creating this incredibly world and characters. She has described it very well. The two main characters are Meda and Perseus. Meda is a princess of not just a world, but a galaxy. She is compassionate and sweet. She has a very independent and stubborn streak that I absolutely love. Perseus is beyond fierce. He is a force to be reckoned with, but he may have found a challenge in Meda. There are ups, downs, laughter, and sadness all in this story. At the end of this story, there is a cliffhanger.This is only the first book in this series so more is yet to come, and I cannot wait!

I have once again found a new author and another great first in a series book. I really like psy-fi and paranormal books. This was just such a great read and so refreshing. The book had me from chapter one and if I said it once I’ve said it a million times I just couldn’t put this book down.
I like how the book is in first person. I really like how I am seeing the events through the main character’s eyes. The first person narrative of this brings everything to life. I felt as if I was the character and as the events unfolded that I was experiencing them first hand. The world created by the author just came to life within my mind. I also like how things are not so straight forward and the main character falls for her guard over time. I really look forward to reading more from this author and this series as this is the first book and I am so eager to see how things pan out.

Joined: Book One by Mara Gan is a fantastic science fiction/fantasy novel. I have only recently started reading this genre and I’m so glad that I gave it a go as I absolutely loved this book. This is a new author to me and I had no idea of their writing style but I can safely say now that Mara Gan sure knows how to write a fantastic engaging story. When I think of the imagination required to create this story, it blows me away. Not only are there many different characters who all play a vital role in the story but there are different nationalities, planets, galaxies etc that must have taken a great deal of imagination, planning and preparation. As to the story itself, I was totally hooked on it from the very beginning and was taken on a rollercoaster journey to the end only to be left wanting more. The 2 main characters Princess Andromeda (or Meda as she’s better known) and her Protector Perseus are awesome. Meda is sassy, strong willed and does not like having restrictions placed on her. As her life is under threat, Perseus is constantly exasperated by her constant rule breaking. All this is not helped by the fact that they both have feelings for each other but, with Meda being a Princess and Heir to the galaxy, her future husband has been chosen for her. Can Perseus keep Meda safe from those who want her killed? Can the 2 of them resist the obvious feelings that they have for one another? I’d really recommend that you read this fantastic book to find out. For me, I can’t wait for Book Two as I want to know what the future has in store for Meda and Perseus.

I have to say I was very intrigued by this book by the synopsis, but very wary due to page count. This book is long, yes, but is a really good story. I’m not a big “step out of my comfort zone” genre reader, I love romance and the angst but this book really captured my attention. The character descriptions felt like they were very vivid in my mind and I could really picture everything i was seeing/reading, I LOVE that. But there were some things that could have done fine with not being included, it just got too wordy, for me personally. I felt like I skimmed a lot, which I hate to do, but it felt repetitive or unnecessary to get to the next part of the story. I will say I’m intrigued for the next book, as that cliffhanger leaves me to believe there will be another. Overall i enjoyed the story.

This was an awesome book 1 to a series that already has me hooked!
I loved Meda. She was a force to be reckoned with. Even though this was a story about a Princess that needed to be saved, Meda wasn’t your typical princess! Her flaws made you love her!
This was a fast pace read with action and suspense! I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough just to see what would happen next. Great start to new series and I can’t wait to read the next book. Mara Gan is now a must one-click author for me!

I went way out of my comfort zone on this book. It was recommended when I mentioned I needed something different. This was definitely different for me. I don’t read sci fi and I’m not a huge fan of YA, but in saying all of that I did enjoy many parts of this story. I definitely had no questions regarding the characters as they were well described and had the depth you need to truly understand. The surroundings and times I could almost visualize with the descriptive words used. There was definitely a uniqueness to the storyline which I completely appreciated.
In saying all of that, this book was a bit long and drawn out for me. I’m not crazy about reading a book I find myself having to skip through especially when an author works so hard to give me the words to read, but I did skip quite a bit, it felt very wordy in many places and I might be exaggerating a bit but it almost feels like half the page count could have been eliminated. Okay, maybe not that much but it did leave me with that feeling.
Again..in saying all of that I will be reading the next in this series as there was enough of a cliffhanger to have me craving more, and although this story did not change my choice of not reading this genre it is quite possible that the next in the series will.
Definitely do recommend for anyone that loves a good NA SciFi romance novel without too much of the romance.

I found this book giving off Throne of Glass vibes along with some Star Wars bits. It starts off with Meda who is a non-royal born into a prophecy that deems her saving the galaxy. She has a bodyguard who is a mercenary but she doesn’t think she needs one and is perfectly fine being able to do what she wants. Meda is an empath and semi-frequent telepath who gets overwhelmed sometimes with all the people around her and escapes quite a bit that her bodyguard, Perseus gets angry with her. Not wanting to spoil but Meda ends up falling for Perseus.
I loved the plot of the story but the description of Perseus was a bit too much, I’m not a fan of big muscled guys even tho he did sound rugged and handsome. I also found it a bit deeming that he kept calling her “little girl” even though it changes a bit in the end after they are both in love.
In other words, I would recommend this book to anyone who likes sci-fi, humor, fantasy and a bit of action. I feel this book provided a lot of those things along with romance of course but not too much it was overbearing.

Joined by Mara Gan was a fulfilling scifi/fantasy romance. I would give this book a 5 out of 5. I thoroughly enjoyed the story building and character development. Meda was a fantastic read, I really felt close to her throughout the book. Her protector is notorious around the galaxies, but is not what he seems. I had trouble putting the book down!
