Seed on Fire (Moore Family Saga Book 1) by Michele Sims – Review by S. Bittles

Act I: Seed On Fire (Moore Family Saga, #1)Act I: Seed On Fire by Michele Sims
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Author gives us a romance story of early marriage obstacles, challenges and overcoming hard times individually and together as a couple.

Follow Cade and Lecia through the emotional rollercoaster as newlyweds and as new parents. The Author will have you feeling every bit of emotion with them as they face love, hardship, sacrifice, loss and forgiveness.

This book is a fast paced read, but also very smooth flowing. Such a beautiful love story filled with lovable characters, who have relatable struggles and at times, unpredictable fears around starting a family. Strong family bonds is the foundation of this saga.

This is my first read by this author and
I look forward to reading the next books in this saga. I think I’m going to want these books on my shelf!

OMG These books get better and better.
Where had the author been my entire life.
I read this book in once sitting and it’s official I love African American romance.
I feel like a part of the relationship.
So let me tell you, these couples that this author writes about makes me cry laugh and scream.
I feel like I need a break but there is more and I need it all.
Amazing is an understatement each book I read gets better and better.
I did feel like in the middle it dragged just a bit but it’s worth it to keep reading.
Everything by this author needs to be recommended.
This is a part of my official collection and it all should be a buddy read.
Love this, can’t wait for more.

Well it was different, I wasn’t sure how I was feeling at first, but I definitely wasn’t expecting what happened. It brought me right back into the story! The Seed on Fire was good!
Cade & Lecia’s love story is beautiful and they have definite obstacles to overcome. Lecia coming up on her delivery date, she was drugged and her baby stolen. Leading Cade to reign it in and be everything Lecia needs. While his brother Vincent does everything he can to get their child back.
Unfortunately this leads to a bigger issue involving a childhood family friend of Mario.
I could never imagine a child being stolen from one’s body, but I feel for Cade and his need to want to do everything he can for the love of his life!
What does Mario have to do with everything?
Does this bring Cade and Lecia closer?
Check out this story and I personally look forward to checking out book 2!

This was my first read by this author. I found that this story had several plot and character details that were either missing or ambiguous. That said it was a pretty good read. I think some of the tale is engaging and well developed. I enjoyed the suspenseful moments and found the family dynamics believable. I am hopeful that the next in this series will fill in some of the plot gaps.

Seed on Fire is Book One in the Moore Family Saga series of books. We are introduced to Kaiden, a musician, and Alicia Moore, a young couple that fall head over heels in love and soon become married after a whirlwind romance. Alicia unexpectedly becomes pregnant on their honeymoon, something which threatens to tear Cade and Alicia apart. Kaiden, or Cade as his friends call him, and Alicia, or Lecia as her close friends call her, find their relationship put to the test with this revelation.

Cade never expected to settle down but that all changed when he met Lecia. He is now struggling with the sudden life changes and his impending fatherhood. Lecia finds herself overjoyed and cannot wait to become a mother but is struggling with the loss of her career because of her impending motherhood. These life changes cause a rift between Cade and Lecia but soon a series of horrific events not only threatens to break them apart but also puts the life of their unborn child in danger. Will their love be strong enough to endure the threats and hardships put before them?

This book was full of action, adventure, romance, danger and ultimately the family ties that bind. The author does a great job of tackling the difficult topics of the sacrifices and the often-difficult concept of forgiveness that most couples are faced with throughout their relationship. The characters of Kaiden and Alicia were described so well so you could not help but feel that you knew them. I loved the relationship that they had and the lengths that they would go to remain together. No matter what they went through and who tried to tear them apart their love for each other was undeniable and unbreakable. From the very first few pages I was hooked, and I needed to learn more about this couple and what was going to become of them and their relationship and ultimately what would become of their unborn child. I was hooked and not only quickly devoured Book One but immediately moved onto Book Two in the series, Playing With Fire, followed up by the next few books in the series. I highly recommend the Moore Family Saga series of books.

Act I: Seed On Fire (Moore Family Saga, #1)Act I: Seed On Fire by Michele Sims
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Seed on Fire is book encompassing a wide of range of emotional topics in life: love, hardship, sacrifice, loss, disillusionment, and forgiveness. Throughout the turmoil, Lecia and Cade’s love is tested and strained to the edges of its bounds, as it is pummeled by threat after threat. Cade loves his wife deeply, but struggles to come to terms with his changing role as a father, and what that means for his career, his marriage, and his sense of self. These two love each other fearlessly throughout the ups and downs of the early marriage, and hope that if they hang on tight enough that their relationship will survive forever.
I found this book tended to be rather melodramatic and hokey in parts, leaning heavily on the ‘soulmate’ trope in way I found hard to take seriously. Perhaps I am too jaded a reader, but I found it hard to believe in their relationship. A more romantically inclined reader may have a very different take!

A Fantastic five-star read. This is the start of the Moore Family Saga and it just starts with a bang, showing us about how this author manages to create characters that will ensnare you, they will have you caring about them in the first few pages and all the way through. I weirdly started this series at book four, and then realised that I could go back and read them all and I am, its great. Coming back to the start and sinking my teeth in again, was like coming back to old friends, falling in love again. This is a great story and I am so excited to sink into number two.

Seed on Fire is the first book in the Moore Family Saga. Cade and Lecia are the main characters in this story, and it starts with tension and resentments building between this couple that are expecting their first child. I found the emotional turmoil and reactions of the characters so realistic. So many changes and challenges come as people become first time parents. I think the author did an amazing job of representing that in the story. While this series is a paranormal series, I don’t feel like that is the focus. Family values and the familial relationships really stand out. Overall, a really good read.

This is an amazing book. From page 1, you are sucked into the magic and do not want to get out. The drama, mystery, suspense and adventure just keep you wanting to know what happens next. The story is well-written and flows from one section to the next with no glitches. The details make you feel like you are a fly on the wall participating. I found the characters to feel very three dimensional and totally relatable. They go through so many challenges yet they prove their love is strong. A very good book that I highly recommend.

Seed on Fire: A Romantic Suspense with a baby (Moore Family Saga Book 1) by Michele Sims – Review by Sheri Schrader

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Seed on Fire is the first book in the Moore Family Saga series. I’ll be honest the title caught my attention and made me curious about what the story would be about. The story focuses on Kaiden and Alicia a couple with a baby on the way. Though a baby arriving could be a lot for some couples this is only one of the challenges this couple is faced with in the book. I enjoyed the characters and like how there is a multi-generational aspect to the book. There are some tense moments but they only added to the story. I look forward to reading more in this series soon.

This is a sweet love story with a twist. This book is full of action and suspense and pulled me right into the world of Cade and Lecia. This book really shows how much the dynamic between a married couple can change once a child is soon to enter the picture. The love between Cade and Lecia is so tender and sweet and it’s obvious how much Cade loves her even though they go through a rough patch or two. This book took a terrifying turn that had me on the edge of my seat eager to see what would happen next. I really enjoyed the scenes with the extended family in it and seeing the traditions and closeness that each of the families has. The ending was great and definitely left me eager to know more. I can’t wait to see what happens in the next book this series.
