This book is by an author that I have enjoyed reading from the first book I picked up. I enjoy this author’s writing style as well as their creative characters that are written with a lot of heart. This book is no different. This is a shorter story and it packs a punch in entertainment in a short time. This is a story about LIzzy and how she may never find a suitor that can be trusted. She finds some hope in Mr. Darcy. You don’t want to miss what happens with Lizzy and Mr. Darcy. I enjoyed their characters and their growth is great. I read their story in one sitting as it is that great. I really enjoyed this book. I highly recommend this book and author.

I’ve never been one to get into Jane Austen books. While I thoroughly enjoy regency romance books, she’s one I just can’t seem to enjoy. At the beginning of the book I just couldn’t get into it, by the middle I was slowly getting there. Overall it was a good story. Georgiana tells her sister in law she thinks she’s ready to find a husband. A dinner party was planned and seemed like it was almost a “love at first sight” suggestion to the moment. The optional epilogue was a great thought for some steamy wedding night details.

Although we seemed to have read these books out of series order, we can honestly say that this is becoming one of our favourites. This book was another brilliant addition to the series. For me, I loved the focus on making sure kids know how special they are. It seems to be a recurring conversation I am having to my 6 year old and I think reading this book helped to reinforce some of the things I had been saying. As with the other books, my kids instantly connect with Buddy and the other characters. They really enjoyed the story and the illustrations that went with the adventure. This author has obviously created a strong series and we are looking forward to reading more.

Absolutely loved this book. My little boy was hanging on to every word. Buddy is now old enough to get adopted, but his siblings all get adopted before him. He asked his mom, why nobody wants him. She explains that it’s just not his time to be patient. I really loved that God was included in this book.

This book had it all for me. Spice. Drama. Secrets. This book is everything good rolled into one. It can be read alone however if you are like me you will want to know more. This book has romance, steam, and danger. He’s her teacher but neither can fight the sparks and connection they feel. I love books that feature multiple points of view, so for me I liked seeing everything unfold between Nicole and Callum from each of their points of view. This book was easy to read and with the drama and chemistry between them, I couldn’t stop. Highly recommend and I will be reading more.

This is the sixth book in the War of Destiny series. I suggest reading these books in order so that you get a complete understand of the story, the characters and how they all fit together also the plot carries on from one book to the next so if you don’t read them it may leave you feeling a bit lost. There is also trigger warnings as in this story we have flashbacks to the time when our main character Matthew was imprisoned and the torture he suffered so just a heads up with regard to that.
This is a continuous and a fascinating fast paced paranormal story that I have loved since book 1. After the death of his soul mate and his imprisonment, Matthew distance himself from those he feels betrayed him. While he is struggle to get his fire element working correctly he meets and starts to work for the Medici brothers. He fits in as mortal and likes how it feels, however he isn’t mortal he is a vampire.
Matthew now decides he is going to become a protector and when Valentino tries to take over more territory he steps right into his role at protector. As time progresses Matthew realises that he is not alone and that their are people who want to help him vampire and human alike..but will he be able to let his guard down again and trust people after the betrayal he suffered last time?
This was another great adventure which I really enjoyed. I can’t wait to see what the author has instore for us next.

Driving into the Night by Amanda Kay was an interesting book, this was my first read by this author, so I didn’t really know what to expect. This is not what I thought it was going to be, I was thinking like a dark mystery, but instead it was a supernatural mystery with some romance mixed in. We meet the two main characters, Kenai and Mikael and both are teenagers who attend the same school and apparently have noticed each other for quite some time. Neither one expected to be attracted to one another, but they are and neither one of them ever seems to build up the courage to actually speak to each other. So as fate usually does, it brings both of our main characters to the same high school party with the usually games of truth or dare and spin the bottle, and of course fate would have it that on the first spin of the bottle Mikael is to kiss Kenai. Little did either of the boys know that from this moment on their lives would be changed and somehow would seem to intertwine further than being at this party together. These boys have no idea that their romance is going to be extremely challenged due to the fact that their families have a long history between them. There is a ring that is given to one of the boys and it will greatly affect anything that has to do with the other boy. I felt that this story was good but could have been better with maybe some more details of the back story of the ring and the families of our main characters. We are given the storyline of a demon angel versus a hunter, but this is where I found the storyline to lack some. I feel that with more detail and maybe a longer story this book could have been great, it could have even been transformed into a series. I look forward to seeing what else Amanda Kay will bring us and I hope that she considers putting more detail into this storyline and turning it into a series.

A Pig and a Poke is a wonderfully written children’s book that children of any age can enjoy. It teaches children about standing up for themselves and never giving up. Keep trying even if you fall get up and push on. My six year old son loved this book but didn’t like Bruce being mean. He even said “ mom if Bruce would help her they both can win.” Angela didn’t give up and she pushed through. Angela was patient and in the end came out on top. The colorful illustrations brought the story to life. We highly recommend reading this book and look forward to reading more from this Author.

The author delivers again! This has all you come to expect from this author and this series: ALL the steam, some suspense, and great characters. I couldn’t put this one down and read it it nearly one sitting. This is an engaging story that follows Nicole and Callum. Callum a Titan and Nicole the daughter and sister of a Titan (ahem not to mention the student of Callum) find themselves in the middle of a forbidden romance—but with danger lurking around the corner can Nicole trust in Callum?

This is book 4 of The Predator Series. The books just keep getting better and better! This installment is about Noah and Bijou. Both of these characters have had horrific losses with their spouses and both have a child. Noah moves to the little town and starts a repair business and Bijou runs a rec center that is falling apart. The sparks start when they first lay eyes on each other but both are loyal to their deceased spouses. This is a second chance romance that is brilliant. The characters are fantastic and relatable. This book deserves a 4.8!

Mallory got her own book!! Okay, so Mallory has been in love with one boy since forever. She can’t remember a time when she didn’t love him in some way. At first, when they were kids, it was in a friend/brother way. Then somewhere along the way, it became more. Her favorite childhood memory is fake marrying Beckett Fox when she was 13. This memory has everything. Her brother, Beckett, her grandma’s ring, and her first kiss after they said “I do”.
Beckett just lost his grandfather. Two years before that, his grandmother. They have been everything to him since his parent’s divorce when he was 8. His mom went to Boston to start a new life with her new husband, and eventually new family. His dad went west to California. Beckett’s grandparents were everything. Now, he is kinda lost. There are two things he is thankful for in this world, that his job is remote which allows him to travel and find what he is looking for, and the Lawsons. Evan Lawson has been his best friend since practically the crib. Then there is Mallory.
Beckett and Mallory have been friends. They have tried to be more than friends. Beckett can’t work up the nerve to tell Evan that he loves Mallory. Everytime Evan thinks Beckett needs to go to the city to meet some girls, Beckett follows along because he can’t hurt his best friend, leaving Mallory hurt in the wake. Beckett has moved to Buckeye Falls to be close to Evan and because it hurts too much to be out at the family farm without his grandfather. That means that he will see Mallory, be around Mallory, have to interact with Mallory. Neither Beckett or Mallory is ready for that.
The only roadblock standing in their way is Beckett’s inability to tell Evan. Evan is so blissfully in love with CeCe and doesn’t see what everyone else sees, that Mallory and Beckett are in love. Evan is focused on his proposal and then engagement and wedding. Beckett fights himself to keep his found family while fighting for the love of his life. Will Evan ever be able to accept Beckett and Mallory together?
I still love these characters. The sibling banter between Evan, Mallory and Emily is sooooo very true to life. I swear I have said something similar to my sisters at some point, especially when I am right. 😂 I don’t know who else in the town needs to find love, but I hope there is someone because I don’t know if I am ready to say goodbye to these characters. They are just wonderful and awesome. You don’t have to read the entire series, but read about Mallory and Beckett. I totally encourage you to read the series. It rocks.

Mallory is finally getting to tell her story and I loved it. We have gotten to know Mallory ad Evan’s sister. Now wee get to know Mallory the woman who lost her heart a long time ago.
She and Beckett grew up together and spent lots of time together since he is Evan’s best friend. There was something that drew them to one another and after several years without seeing or speaking to one another they find their way back to one another.
While I think they are soulmates I think they both needed the time to discover who they are and establish their lives individually.
I would love to visit a place like Buckeye Falls, it seems like a great place full of great people.

I love this whole series! It’s super cute. It deals with different “couples” in each book. They all live in and/or move to a small town named Buckeye Falls in Ohio. Everyone knows everyone and the town is so sweet! This book is about Mallory and Beckett. Mallory has been dreaming of her wedding her whole life. Playing make believe and getting married to her brother’s best friend and their childhood neighbor has been in her head for 15 years! Even the family heirloom ring is in those dreams. Finding out her brother plans to give it to his girlfriend CeCe has her speechless and watching that dream float away. What she doesn’t know is that her brother’s best man of course is going to be his best friend Beckett! He’s moved back to town and the family farm. He can’t forget that marriage under the apple trees was back when either and he wants her by his side. Both of them dream to be with each other and it’s hard to hide it. As wedding plans get sorted, because they are best man and maid of honor, they are both thrown together more and more. Of course huge sparks fly!!! Fearful of her brother’s opinion they start to date in secret. But as we all know those can’t stay hidden! Will it all blow up in their face? Can childhood love last through the ages? And what about the brother and the ring!! If you haven’t read any of this series you will not be disappointed! Grab them all! I love the characters and the world that the author spins. I can see this as a movie series so easily!

Corpse Pixie by Sinister Styx – 4 stars This is my first book by Sinister Styx. It was a short read but I could not put it down. We have a mystery, magic, paranormal with a bit of naughty and a little bit of a love story all intwined- but does the good guys win or is it the lesser of 2 evils? For only 82 pages it kept me intrigued.
Rene is a grief stricken brother wallowing in pills and alcohol but he swore he would find his twin’s murderer. Visiting the crimes scenes of the following victims the newest one leaves him feeling like he is losing his sanity to the Mystery violent eyed angel.
Belladonna is a grief to the point of numb necro-pixie hides for hundreds of years until the time is right to take vengeance for the death of her family becomes obsessed with the human that didn’t turn away from death and honored them victims when no one else would. Would he be the one to help her avenge her family’s demise?
I found the book to be intriguing and kept my attention. I would like to see more detail in the story line of how Belladonna fell in love with Rene. She basically left him alone for 2 weeks and then decided she had feelings for him. Other than the research he was doing what made her start showing emotions and feelings. Being a novella I could use a little more detail in this area. I will say I was not expecting the end of the story and who the murderer is but it works for me! The end of the book shows that it could become a series and I can’t wait to see what happens next!
This is book five in the Buckeye Falls series, and it’s my favorite one yet! You can absolutely read each one as a standalone but since the characters appear in each one, you’ll want to get more familiar with them and their background. The author steals your attention in the very beginning with such a spectacularly crafted plot and characters that are even further developed than previous books. Mallory is incredibly relatable and has some lingering feeling from her childhood sweetheart, Beckett. Her little brother, Evan, is about to get married and wants to give a family heirloom to his future wife…but it holds special meaning for Mallory. Beckett is such a dreamy book boyfriend! His grandpa had beautiful words of wisdom before he passed, and Beckett is trying to live up to them. This second-chance romance in a small town is a delightful read with the author’s skillful storytelling and vivid depiction of Buckeye Falls. Whether you’re drawn to the allure of rekindled love or the charm of small-town life, this book is sure to capture your heart. I highly recommend it!

Oooo. I can’t believe this series is almost over, I have enjoyed every moment of this series, and this book was no different. Sylvia Black truly is one of my favorite authors. Dual perspectives of Bistrita and Chara. Chara is the best friend of Natalia from the previous book and Master Bistrița’s land butts up to Oradea’s in the target zone. Everything finally starts to come to a head in this one. Devora has finally given her blessing to the witches to help the purebloods. Also, with Natalia’s syndicate brothers and their men forming a barrier around the zone things seem to finally be working. Destiny has brought the witches to their pureblood mates. Now Bistrita has a new battle, one he never expected in the form of a red-headed beauty that won’t be ordered around without a fight. She’s not made of glass, and she won’t let him treat her as if she were. Everything about this amazing series pulls you in. The tropes and the guaranteed happily ever after in each book for each couple is gold. I cannot wait to see how it all comes to an end in book twelve, Master Slobozia, October 19th, 2024. We already got glimpses of Taylen but how will she fair against her master?

Callum is one of the Chicago Titans, he is one of the elite of the elite and gets what he wants when he wants it.
Nicole is the sister, daughter and niece of Titans from LA and NYC, she knows exactly what to expect from the Titans. Even being aware she wasn’t ready for Callum and her feelings.
Callum and Nicole’s story lacked nothing. From the moment they met while on vacation the sparks fly, and had an incredibly hot night with no inhibitions since it was a vacation fling. But after running into one another in the one place neither of them expected they would have to fight their attraction.
Each of these books is a standalone, but I find books like this you need to know the history and other characters and I think it gives you a better understanding of everyone and their personalities.
I have been obsessed with the Titans since I read met the guys in New York and hope the mention of the LA Titans means there will be another spinoff series.

I loved the first book in this series, so there was no doubt in my mind that I would be snagging a copy of this as soon as it came out! This is the second book in the Titans of Chicago series and what an incredible installment it is. This author has quickly become one of my favorites for their ability to craft such a captivating story from the very beginning. I knew I wasn’t going to be able to find a stopping point anywhere, so I turned my phone on silent, found a comfy spot, and dove right in. This author creates such well-developed characters that you feel completely invested in from the get-go. Nicole and Callum are impossible to not root for! Their chemistry melts off the pages and the Costa Rica getaway was absolutely perfect. Callum may be a Titan, but will he get what he truly wants this time? If you love a steamy forbidden romance with electric chemistry, an engaging plot, and high-stakes drama, this will be the perfect book for you! I am ecstatic to see what is next for this series.

I have absolutely loved this entire series. Beckett and Mallory are adorable together and this book was a fabulous end to this whole series. Best friends sister; small town; second chance love are just some of the genres that this book falls under. You can read this as a stand-alone but you will miss out on Evan and CeCes build up that leads to their exciting news in this book. I am so glad I found this series. You will get pulled in and feel like you are part of the wonderful Buckeye Falls residents.

Mallory Lawson has been in love with Beckett Fox since they were kid, but a misheard statement caused that to all come crashing down on her. Mallory hasn’t seen Beckett in years and he is back and in Buckeye Falls. Her feelings for him have not changed one bit. However she doesn’t realize that he has the same feelings for her. Beckett has never showed his true feelings because his best friend is Mallory’s brother Evan. Evan is now wanting to propose to his girlfriend using their grandmother’s ring that Mallory thought she would have. So things are pretty messed up right now. Will Mallory tell Beckett her true feelings or will he be the first to apologize for how things ended between them years ago?

I was excited to read book number two in the Titans of Chicago after reading book one. Forbiddingly Yours was dual POV, which will always be my favorite, I think it makes the story flow smoothly and feel fully fleshed out. The relationship between the characters was spicy and sizzling at first until Nicole shows up to a class that Callum is teaching and he totally freaks out although Nicole convinces him they can keep it on the DL. Callum is also a billionaire. We have a good mash up of tropes in this novel. I love Anise Storms writing and her books are always winners.

I picked up my first book by Libby Kay due to a beautiful fall themed cover in spirit of the fall season. I ended up going back and reading the whole series, so it was a no brainer that I would pick this one up too. I really enjoy Libby’s writing, her characters, and the coziness that her writing evokes. Forever to Fall was book number five, and Mallory and Beckett’s second chance at love was no different. If you’re looking for a book, or a series, to fill time and give you all the warm fuzzies you should give Buckeye Falls a chance.

This is the second book I have read in this series. I read this with my seven year old son. We liked this one even more than the first! We loved how we got to meet Buddy’s cat siblings. My son loved how one cat sibling was a mature kitty, while the other was a little naughty. He thinks it’s very realistic to how cats are in real life.

This book got me hooked. I highly recommend. A romance rendezvous. They make the most out of the time they had. Quite sure it will end their as well. As fate will have it that’s not how it plays out. I can’t wait to read more.

Libby Kay created a wonderful Hallmark love story. My favorite part was the setting, as it is not very often that a story takes place in good ol’ Ohio. Two childhood friends are caught in a romance web. They have loved each other since childhood but were too afraid to announce their feelings. Mal loves Bennett, and vice versa, but cannot move forward with their relationship because he is her brother’s best friend. They begin to sneak around, but their secret does not stay hidden long. In the end, these two find a way to overcome the challenge.

I LOVE this story! So interesting and exciting from the start and I just could not put it down! I read this in a day because I just could not stop, I had to know what was going to happen. Such an interesting story about a pixie with necromancy powers and an unsolved murder and just so much more! I can tell I LOVE it because I just want to read everything and anything from this author now it’s just that good to me. Once I like a writer’s style and storytelling, I just want to read all they have written. I love that this story is told through two characters the pixie and the man trying to solve his sister’s murder and how their fates intertwine and the thoughts and struggles each goes through throughout the story. I very much enjoyed this! Quick read and very interesting! So glad I read this book!
