I loved this book!! While it was a light novella that was meant to be romantic and fun it also held a deeper meaning that many will relate to.
Shamrock and Clover came together at the right time in their lives. The bona fide playboy and the girl who cannot catch a break. This story is sweet, funny, and heartfelt. I will definitely pick up a book by this author again.

This was such a cute and fun short story! I loved Clover and Patrick’s relationship. She was so innocent and he went “From king of the single lads to royalty among married men…” and it was great. If you’re looking for a cute short romance this is the book for you! One of many greats by the author.

If you are looking for a quick, fun easy read then this is it! It’s a fun little novella that moves along quickly but you find yourself wanting to know more about Shamrock and Clover and how they came to be after finding out about Shamrock’s past. This was my first time reading a novella and I found myself wanting more of a back story and these two characters and how their paths crossed in my detailed ways. It’s definitely a very fast paced read and I would hope that there will be more books to follow.

Shamrock & Clover: Fields Apart is a cute little romance. I enjoy some things by this author. I’m starting to learn as I read more books by the author, they are hit or miss. I liked this one but I didn’t love it. Being it was a shorter story it took till about midway through for the main characters to meet. It put me off a little bit but didn’t ruin the story.
Shamrock “Patrick” is a forever bachelor. Who is starting to realize how alone he is, due to his partying ways.
Clover is a hardworking girl. One who has her head in the clouds when it comes to love.
Shamrock and Clover are perfect for each other right? Not as easy as one would think.
If you are sweet on short little romances, this book is DEFINITELY for you!

This is such a fun story. I found this to be completely entertaining from start to finish. It is a short and sweet romance that swept me uo into the pages. I was hooked as soon as I started reading. I loved the characters too. They were so well suited and I really wanted them to find their way.
This is an author that I love every single time I pick up one of their books. No matter what type of book the author knows exactly how to pull the readers in. This is yet another success that I would highly recommend.

With South Africa heading towards winter, this is the perfect “cosy next to the fire” read. It’s short and sweet and was exactly the fun lighthearted read I needed after all the dark stuff I’ve read.
The characters are superbly written and the really grow through out the book especially Patrick. His personal growth and emotional maturing really resonates with me.
A great book yet again from this talented author

An enjoyable and engaging contemporary romance with an opposites attract theme, which kept me happily turning the pages. Clover and Patrick (Shamrock) have different views on love, she’s a saint and he’s a sinner. However, when they meet in this romantic comedy the unlikely couple may just have found love with one other. I thoroughly enjoyed this short but sweet story and loved the main characters, Clover and Shamrock, and I was cheering them on hoping they would get their HEA. A heartwarming read with a storyline full of emotions, humour, and of course romance.

This was another great book by one of my favorite authors. If you have never read one of her books, I suggest you start now with this one. She’s a fantastic writer and has an amazing way of drawing the reader into the world they are reading about. She always makes me feel like I am living the story through her description and narration of the story. This was a shorter story than some of the books I am used to reading from her, but none the less was just as good. I don’t feel that the length of the book took away from any of the story. I will say that this one was a little slow at the beginning and took me a couple of chapters to really get into, but once I did I couldn’t put it down. It was very entertaining, and I loved the characters chemistry.

This book was a nice and easy read. The characters have some touches of personal tragedies, but the reader only gets a snapshot into the gorgeous playboy Shamrock and the innocent point of view of Clover. I enjoyed the perspectives of both Clover and Shamrock, but they were still very mysterious and that made me want more. I think I would’ve enjoyed an extended view of their background or day-to-day with these characters. When reading it went by really fast for me personally, and there were times I would’ve liked a more defined time frame. This is the first time I have read this author and will be looking into more of her writings.

This was such a sweet romantic comedy. It was a shorter read but I loved it.

This story is of a couple quite unlucky in many ways but definitely in love. They don’t see what fate has in store for them but as we follow their journey, they’ll figure it out together.

This story was well written and it really pulled me in. The characters chemistry really added to the story. The characters were relatable which added another great aspect to the story. All in all it was a great read!

For a super short book, this one sure packs it all in!! I laughed, I cried, I smiled, and I wanted to smack someone all in the 30 minutes or so it took me to read this lil gem!

Shamrock, aka Patrick, is the town’s playboy. He loves to go out drinking with his buddies but soon realizes that he’s tired of the single life. He is ready to final settle down with “the one” instead of a one night stand.

Clover, who’s one of the unluckiest people ever, is having a hard time. Her job’s not great, grandma’s not well, and life isn’t treating her kindly.

What’s the odds that these two meet up looking for a change?

It’s a super cute rom-com that can be read in a short span of time. This is my first read by this author but I’ll be looking for more of her books.

Shamrock and Clover: Fields Apart is a sweet romance about love and luck. Clover should live a life filled with luck, but she has nothing but challenges. Shamrock lives a life of debauchery and has become complacent in life. What happens when Clover and Shamrock meet? Will they be lucky in love?
I always enjoy this author’s books, and this did not disappoint. There were some tears, laughs, and more as I read the story. This is a short but excellent read. I felt for Clover as she went through her challenges and could relate to her hurt and heartache. Shamrock was harder to embrace, but in the end, he won me over.
I look forward to reading more from this author.

A woman named Clover is lonely. When her gran dies, she meets a lonely man named Shamrock.
Opinion
This short story was cute but could have used more details. The writing seemed more sterile because of the lack. The premise of the story itself was super cute where two similarly named lonely people find each other and fall in love.

I picked this book out because the cover was absolutely beautiful. The colors of the cover are vibrant and pull your attention right in! However I was worried at first when I saw how short it was but for being a shorter story it packed a powerful punch. I have read quite a few books by this author over the last few weeks and I haven’t been disappointed next. This novel was equally emotional and entertaining and the characters were phenomenal. So if your looking for a great short book to read this weekend, make sure you pick this one up today.

Clover, a woman whose life seems to be falling apart around her, is on the search for something that is missing in her life. Her grandmother used to always tell her a saying about the four leaf clover that said the fourth leaf is luck and ties all the other leaves together. Not knowing what she is searching for, she turns to that saying and is determined to find a four leaf clover.

Shamrock, a party play-boy, is getting tired of his party life. With all of his friends settling down around him, he is left to look at his life, alone and drunk. No woman has captured his attention for more than one night, that is until he sees a woman who looks like a mess searching for something in the grass…

This was a very cute and quick read. I am a big fan of this author but this is the first one I have read in her romance genre and I enjoyed it. Both characters were lovable in their own way. I would love to look into more of the author’s romance books after getting a taste of her writing.

Shamrock & Clover: Field’s Apart by C.A. King is a romance about two people that have had great losses, finding each other. It is a nice quick read to start off the spring season. These two unfortunately have an abundance of bad luck which is quite ironic given their names. It seems like they can’t catch a break. Fortunately, this loss leads them to each other and they are able to find what they have been missing. I do wish that the characters had been more developed. It was difficult to empathize on a deeper level because a connection with the characters is never really established. I did like that the characters did show some growth towards the end. If you like springtime romance, this book is for you.

Shamrock and Clovers is a light-hearted short read that is very entertaining and inspiring. I love how the author took two characters, who are opposite of one another and brought them together. In my opinion, the author truly describes “faith, hope, and love” in this story of unexpected young love in someone who is completely different from what you are usually attracted to. Even though the title of this book refers to a representing of “luck”, the two main characters are running out of luck. Will they be able to put their differences aside and be a couple? You will have to read this amazingly written story to find out!

I absolutely loved this book! It was such a fun read and I have to say this author never disappoints! She really does create some wonderful short stories that are wonderful to read. I loved the characters Clover and Patrick (Shamrock) – Clover, bless her, definitely isn’t lucky in live (considering her name) and she was such a lovely person, she definitely tried everything she could to look after her Grandmother and the love she had for her really shone through. This story had some funny moments and also some really emotional ones. I loved every minute of it and would highly recommend it to other readers!

I really loved this quick sweet romance! I love this authors writing style and have read several of her books. I love Clovers level headedness and her love for her grandma. This isn’t your perfect romance either. Shamrocks heart isn’t necessarily in the right place and hasn’t been for a long time. There are some hard obstacles to overcome if things are going to work out for these two. There are definitely some tear jerker moments so be ready!

I was very pleasantly surprised by this book. It is a short romance, very gripping and has all the elements of a good read in it. Clover is a waitress who has had her fair shares of hardship . She is someone who is waiting for her dream-partner. Shamrock on the other hand is a flirt who has a reputation. News has it that he intends to remain that way When both meet, the sparks fly. And this time Shamrock does get interested. But can Clover forgive his past and move on? This is a very cute romance story I have read in a while. Loved it !!

Shamrock & Clover: Fields Apart by C.A. King is a sweet, feel-good, emotional, and engaging romantic package that may be short in pages but packs the ‘reading experience’ of a much larger novel.
I have said this many times before and am likely to keep repeating it again many more times; I am a big fan of Ms. Kings work and have enjoyed all her stories immensely- so it was no great surprise that this book was a winning recipe for me as well. Shamrock & Clover has all the ingredients you could want from a contemporary romantic comedy about opposites attracting and finding love unexpectedly.
Clover has been unlucky in love, until she finds her Shamrock.
Happy reading!

Thank you, C.A. King!

Shamrock & Clover: Fields Apart by C.A. King

This was my first book that I have read by this author and it did not disappoint.

This book has a lot of emotions tied into it, and a beautiful love story.
It starts out in Clover’s POV one of the main characters; her friends see her as a silent suffer alone type, but she really is just trying to help the only family member she has left, she spends every last dime she has to give her beloved grandmother the treatment she needs.

Her grandmother had given her the name Clover and told her the first leaf stands for hope, second leaf stands for faith, third leaf stands for love and all she needed was to find a four leaf clover, fourth leaf stands for love.

Clover wanted nothing more than to find this four leaf clover her grandmother had been talking about since she was a little girl and gift it to her, because she knew that would mean more to her grandmother than a 100 roses or carnations. Relentlessly searching and late a night Clover was running out of luck and time… Then unexpectedly she meets Shamrock.

This story has a couple plot twists, three POV’s and such a cute ending. The author did an amazing job writing this book, I couldn’t help but fall in love with both Clover and Shamrock and ended up reading the whole book in one day.

Shamrock & Clover is a sweet, romantic novella that just had me smiling. Shamrock, aka Patrick, is no saint when it comes to love. He is a ladies man, but one that the ladies don’t want forever. Clover is a sweet girl who is down on her luck and looking for love. When she hits a low and meets Shamrock while looking for a four leaf clover, her luck begins to change, both in life and love. This is a very fast read and one I recommend when you need to put a smile on your face. I loved the connection between the two main characters.

For a short and sweet romance with hints of tragedy and common ground, this lovely little read really hit the mark for me. Not long ago, I lost my Nana, and though she didn’t raise me, we called each other our own Kindred Spirit, and the connection that Clover felt to her Grandmother was very much how I felt with her. This really allowed me to connect with the character, and the state of mind she would be in after having to say goodbye. Support is so very important to make it through the rough times, and the author seems to know how to allow the reader to feel the grief, the helplessness, and in turn, the sunshine that emanates from others wanting to help.

Shamrock, having had a massive loss and having that loss make it difficult to move forward in his own life, needs help getting back on solid footing. They say that there is always a reason that someone comes into your life, and well, if you read this sweet romance, you’ll discover why these two have met. I read this in one sitting, and loved the feisty friends/co-workers of Clovers, and the way that the author brings the emotions out on every page. I would gladly read this again, along with anything else that this author releases. Highly recommend!

This book is about the journey of one unexpected couple in their search for love is chronicled in this lovely Romantic Comedy.

Three leaves make up a Shamrock. There is no limit to how many Clovers a Clover may have. Faith, hope, and love are all commonplace. Luck, on the other hand, is usually number four. When it comes to love, he’s a sinner; she’s a saint. They’re both on the lookout for the coveted fourth leaf, as well as some good fortune. They could just discover it and each other if they meet in the middle.

I loved this story. I loved every page of it. Every chapter was exciting. This is my first book from this author and I can’t wait to read more from this author.

While this was my first read from C.A. King, it certainly will not be my last. Although the story was short, (it was the only fault I found; was I was left wanting more) it was a very cute and engaging tale.
The characters emitted a noticeable chemistry from their very first encounter, which continued to sizzle with humor and sarcasm throughout the novel.
Shamrock has quite the playboy imagine he was intent on maintaining, however the last of his pals to settle down, Shamrock begins to feel some kind of way about how lonely and bored the single life was becoming and finds himself yearning for a more permanent fixture, instead of the multitude of one-night stands that he had grown accustomed throughout the years. Clover had always been a good girl, taking care of her grandma, looking for her happily ever after; never once thinking of dating someone who had such a promiscuous reputation as Shamrock did.
With a little bit of luck, these two find that true love can turn up where you least expect to find it.
