Enemies of the Desert: Book 3 (Silent Secrets)
by Lisette Kristensen

This book is full of action and danger. I have become completely invested in these characters and find myself holding my breath and at the end of my seat needing to know what happens next. This is the third book in this series and it is my suggestion that you read the other books first so you have a better understanding of how blackbird got to where she is and also more knowledge of the other characters in this book. The author does a great job bringing you in and hooking you to the story. I highly recommend this book it a fantastic read.

This story was an interesting one. We picked up where the last book left off and we have reoccurring characters as well as new ones. I sped through this book because I couldn’t put it down. It has danger, suspense and lots of action. This one was a little different than the books that I normally read and that was refreshing. I am looking forward to reading more books by this author and I would recommend it to a friend.

Enemies of the Desert is the third book in Lisette Kristensen’s Silent Secrets Series. She is giving us another one of Blackbird’s missions that leaves you gripping the edge of your seat! Enemies of the Desert gives us a showdown between Blackbird and Selena so we are getting an abundance of strong butt kicking women that don’t back down. You need to read the first two books before starting this one as you need to know the backstory of Blackbird came to be and to truly understand who she is.
I can see many more books in the series as there will be many more missions and there some other characters that need to get their own stories through the eyes of our Blackbird. I can just picture it all in my mind as the details that the writer has given us so far make it all so clear … so welcome to an action packed universe where anything is possible and anyone can be your enemy…

Enemies of the Desert by Lisette Kristensen is the third book in the Silent Secrets series. This series does follow the same character so I would recommend reading them in order.
This is a series that is full of mystery and intrigue. And yet this book seemed to show a different side, it switched it up to a different level. It was still interesting and complex but it showed a more emotional side to Blackbird, one that we haven’t really seen in the previous two books. And I really enjoyed this. I enjoyed the deeper connection it created with the character and I think it showed a whole new level to the authors writing.
This is a series that I have definitely enjoyed so far and I really can’t wait to see what else might be next.

Lisette Kristensen again shows us her amazing writing in Enemies of Desert which is the third book in the Silent Secret series. I will state readers do need to read the other two book in this series before diving into this one, or there will be some confusion.
Blackbird gives us another adventure with danger and action while she has to come face to face with her enemy Salena. There is evil lurking and Blackbird must find a way to stop it all even if that means losing everything.
I could not put this book down, my only issue I wish it was a longer book. I am so able to get lost in Blackbirds world and I always hate when the books end. I admire and adore Blackbird, she has so much strength yet still has her emotions in tack. I love this series, I love this author and give this book 5 stars.

Enemies of the Desert was a good 4 star read and book three in the Silent Secrets Series. I was pulled in right from the beginning.

We continue from the previous book in the series. In this book we get a different look at Blackbird, a little bit more of a personal level. Things take an interesting twist when Blackbird comes face-to-face with her enemy.

Can Blackbird stop the evil plans and beat her enemy?

Overall I really enjoyed this book, we get suspense, action, danger and so much more. All of the secondary characters were great. Blackbird quickly became one of my favorites, she was a strong character and I would love to see more from her. This can’t be read as a stand alone. Enemies of the Desert by Lisette Kristensen is the third book in the Silent Secrets series. This should be read in order for the series. This book might be short but does not lack in the story or character development. I really enjoyed this book and the continuing story of Blackbird. There is so much going on and at a frantic pace, I did not want to put it down until I was done. The story is great and I enjoy reading about Blackbird and how she is changing and growing as a person. I can’t wait to read more about this character and see where the story progresses in the future.

Enemies of the Desert is the third book in the Silent Secrets Series and takes place shortly after the last book ended. I would highly recommend reading this series in order as it will give you a better understanding of the characters and how they got to where they are. I found myself lost in the pages and on the edge of my seat trying to figure out what happens next. In this wonderfully written story we find Blackbird in a situation where she is face to face with her arch-enemy Salena. Will Blackbird survive? Can the evil plan be stopped? Find out what happens next in this must read book.I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

Blackbird has come up against her arch enemy and as awesome as she is, Salena is no joke and a well fleshed out villain. I always think they’re the best when you find yourself saying, “I don’t like it, but they have a point” But Israel needs saved, and no one is getting in the way and coming out alive!
I am a huge proponent of reading a series in order and I cannot stress that enough with this one. You’re probably going to be a bit lost on the background (Lisette Kristensen does a good job at providing necessary info from her previous books), but more important than that is you don’t want to miss why Blackbird has had to become who she is and how she has developed. It all starts with a snitch and I promise you don’t to miss it.

This picks up about a month after the last book. In this story we get to hang out with old friends and meet some new ones. With that being said I would recommend reading the previous books in the series to see how Blackbird became a Mossad and how she is moving forward. This one isn’t as full of action as the last book. It seems to be showing a softer side of Blackbird and Even Halo. Which is nice but when business time arrives everyone switches gears. There is a baddie that shows up again in this book. We have met her previously and I really don’t like her. She is Evil incarnate.

This is another good book for this series. I could see Blackbird struggle a bit in this one with a few different things. Trust is a hard commodity to come by in her new world as it was in her old world. I am always impressed at her ingenuity when different situations arise.

Enemies Of The Desert is an exhilarating and action packed book. It was a quick and easy read with Blackbird as the main heroine. This novel continues from the previous book in the series and cannot be read as a standalone. The author has a magnificent writing style that easily pulls readers in. I loved the fast pace and different scenery of this novel. Blackbird has been an amazing character to follow since book 1 and I have enjoyed watching her grow. I was very pleased with how this novel ended and hope there is more to her story from this author in the future. I recommend this book as well as the other books in this series.

I totally devoured this book in less than an hour and hated when it ended. I have to start with I don’t normally read this type of genre but when I picked up the first of this series it hooked me within a few pages and here I am now totally invested in all of these characters.

This author has a way of taking a genre that normally holds no interest for me and keeps me somewhat confused and made it as easy to read and understand as some of my favorite genres.

You really must read all of these in order to understand the complete story and to understand Blackbird and how she got where she is and to just completely fall in love with her and admire her strength, I love how she is holding on to that small piece of herself that allows a bit of emotion to still enter in. I love her determination and totally understand her need for revenge even if it consumes her and goes against orders.

These stories all flow so smoothly and i actually wish they were all longer and I don’t know if there’s more coming but I’m praying there is, there’s more stories to tell and Halo completely fascinates me and I would love more about her and of course Blackbird and Adam.

Awesome book, Awesome Series, by an Amazing writer.

Loved It!!

I think it is extremely important that you read this series in order. There is a continuing thread and characters that are already well developed by the time ENEMIES OF THE DESERT comes into play. Please don’t short change yourself or the author by reading out of order.

This is one of those series that moves fast so the reader tries to turn the page even faster. Strong women, strong story line, strong series. Action and adventure abound. Don’t skimp or skim, it’s worth absorbing every word.

I absolutely recommend this series (read in order of course) and this author.

The story Enemies of the Desert (Silent Secrets Series Book 3) by Lisette Kristensen is a thrilling book that I couldn’t put down until the end. It takes you on a journey that includes action, adventure, and danger. The story will leave you breathless and wondering what is going to happen next and who will survive. This time a sinister plot brings Blackbird face to face with her arch-enemy, Salena. Will she be able to stop the evil plans that are in the works? Will she survive? Read this book to find out. This book is fast-paced and had me turning pages. I love reading about the character of Blackbird. She is a woman who is strong and determined. She is one that strives to excel in the training provided for her. I also enjoyed reading about those who work with Blackbird. Many of the characters that Blackbird interacts with have their own part to play and work to make the mission a success. Awesome storyline and amazing characters make this a book I would highly recommend reading.

Blinded by Betrayal with Spin Drift by Lisette Kristensen is the first book in the Silent Secrets series. This is a short, powerful read that had me enjoying the story from beginning to end. Sloane started life as part of a mafia family but grows and progresses into the life of a spy. The story moves quickly but is filled with lots of story. I felt like this was a lot in a small package. I really liked Sloane and I enjoyed seeing her progression. She changed her life completely because of her circumstances letting nothing hold her back. I look forward to reading more in this series.

Blinded by Betrayal with Spin Drift combines the first two books in the Silent Secrets Series by Lisette Kristensen. It is a brilliant, fast paced, and action packed story that packs quite a punch for such a small package. This is a very quick and easy read, but that doesn’t mean that it is lacking in content- quite the opposite in fact. There is quite a lot going on, and the story easily held my attention, drawing me in further and further as the story progressed. There is plenty of suspense, drama, intrigue, espionage, the mafia, danger, violence, and lots of ‘steam’. This book shows us how “Blackbird” came to be.
Sloane Romano is a mafia princess, the daughter of the Boss, she’s living a privileged life. But all that changes in an instant, when her husband is picked up by the authorities and starts ‘singing’ like a canary. This puts her in the same category as her husband, in the ‘family’s’ eyes- a traitor, with a target on her back. She’s forced to flee- but where to go and more importantly who can she trust. This is where Bettino enters the story- a friend from her school days, he’s her only hope of escaping. But will trusting him prove to be a fatal mistake?
She’s no longer content being a dutiful daughter, and wife- stuck in a lonely, loveless and passionless marriage. Or having a target on her back. At the age of 32, she was finally going to live life on her terms. Her ‘adventure’ begins, and she soon finds herself on a journey of discovery- one that brings self-discovery, sexual discovery/awakening, discovering a new ‘way’ of life, finding her steeliness and embracing her strength, as well as learning deadly new skills.
As I was reading the book, Sloane reminded me a bit of Ziva David, from the television series NCIS. And, I also think this book/series would make a great television series, too.

Thank you, Ms. Kristensen!
