Another great short story from Sinister Styx! I absolutely love her writing style and her ability to pull you in and make you feel for the characters in such a short amount of time. Rene and Belladonna’s story is traumatic, action-packed, spicy, and so much more. The way Styx is able to pull together a story in such a short amount of pages is nothing short of amazing. This short story had me hooked from the first page, being a short book, I thought the story would be rush and everything will be jammed into it and then had a bad ending, but boy was I wrong on all of this. Even for a short read this story flowed very well and was very well written. The story line itself was well done and flowed very well that I never felt lost or didn’t understand what was going on. The characters were so amazingly done that it was hard not to relate or find yourself rooting for them. Rene had lost his siter and trying to cope he turns to substance, but then he starts hallucinating a woman. Belladonna has lived her life in a forest and everything she has been living for is not all that great, but then she finds Rene and it seems to her everything has changed. There was so much packed into this story there’s drama, magic, the supernatural, a dark romance, thrill and a murder mystery to be solved.

I read this book in just a few hours. I absolutely loved it. I think you will too. Sinister Styx is a very talented writer that will keep you on the edge of your seat, all the while wondering if René and Belladonna’s twisted relationship will develop into more.
He’s my new obsession and the key to avenging my people. René is the only one who cares about the dead, because he knows deep loss. We’re kindred spirits. I’ll give him relief from his pain, and he’ll give me everything – including his life.

As a former DV survivor, books with Domestic Violence and Cheating is not my cup of tea, overall this book was a good story just not my favorite and only due to the DV and stuff. I liked the story, some things did trigger my anxiety but it is realistic. The doubt, the love and revenge and the regret that comes with it for a slight moment.
Just shows how far someone is willing to go in revenge. This was also a very short book

This is a very short story. To be honest, I really thought that it was going to be a drawn out story that ends with broken glass. It was a good book anyways. This is a novella only for those over 18, with multiple trigger warnings which isn’t for the faint of heart.
A couple in love fall into traps of suspicion and deception and lose trust in each other, this causes a spiral into violence and blood, but will they be able to reconnect, or will the stones they throw break the glass house they are living in?
This is a dark romance with a sprinkling of fantasy as a couple spiral into darkness and try to find their way out.
This is the first book that I have read by the author Sinister Styx, and my thoughts are in the middle, not necessarily “bad” but also not great. This book is EXTREMELY fast-paced and short, it only took me about 10-15 minutes to read the entire novella. The length and speed did not bother me too much, except that I just wish there was ‘more’ as I felt like there was just something missing throughout the entire book, but, I can’t place exactly what it is. The book was very concise and jumped right into the plot, but I felt there just was not enough description to fully grasp and hold my attention. There are a bunch of twists and turns and I was pleasantly surprised by the ending.
Falcon and Ivy’s relationship is cursed/doomed from the start, even though they do truly love each other. Ivy just wants everything to go back to normal, to go back to the time before she began to question her husband’s fidelity, but is that even possible? The book felt very similar to Romeo & Juliet, featuring jealous lovers, betrayal, love and revenge. Falcon does not take Ivy’s accusations lightly and things go up into flames and spiral out of control very quickly. Will Ivy and Flacon receive the blessed happily ever after that they both want or will their marriage be destroyed beyond repair?
Considering this is a dark romance and very graphic, please make sure to read the trigger warnings beforehand. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves dark romance and may want a pallet/mind cleanser between other books. Also, because it is such a fast-paced book it would be perfect read if it is one of those weeks where you want to read, but you are struggling to actually maintain focus.

Glass Houses by Sinister Styx is a quick but fascinating read. It really roped me right in, and while it’s easy to read in one sitting, it was enthralling. I definitely would love to see more if these characters and the cycle they’ve been set in! An intriguing and interesting read that reminded me of Romeo and Juliet. This is a new author for me, and I definitely want to see more!

This was a very quick read. Not my usual genre but I was drawn to it and knowing it wasn’t a long book made me more willing to take the risk and I’m glad I did.
Ivy and Falcon have a deep love, but something causes problems in their relationship. I would have liked a little more of a back story and how they got them to where they were.
I was able to get this read during my lunch break with time to spare. If you find yourself looking for something to keep you busy for a short time i would suggest looking into it.

Well, Sinister Styx sure knows how to pack a lot of fantastic writing in a few short pages! This novella is short, fast-paced, and that twist at the end! Whew! For this to be such a short novella, there are no details unanswered. I surely was not expecting the end. Pick this book up!

This is the first book I read from this author and I’m now hooked. This book is a small read but let me tell you it packed a huge punch.I love that this book is written from both characters points of view. I could not stop reading this once I started. It did not take me that long to devour this addictive story. I can’t wait to read another book from this author.
Falcon and Ivy love eachother so much. They both want to have a happy marriage but with this curse that they have they know they can’t. Ivy starts to doubt her marriage to Flacon. She has someone from her past show up to show her that her marriage is doomed. Ivy wants everything back the way it should be but now she has to fix the mess that she made. Will Ivy and Fallon get their happy ending or will their marriage be destroyed?
Glass Houses by Sinister Styx. This is a super short dark romance but it does come with trigger warnings. Its a very dark story that will stick with you long after you’ve read it. Its the story of Falcon and Ivy who are married but are also aware their marriage is doomed. Seemingly very happy until Ivy accuses Falcon of cheating and he begins to abuse her to no end. Planning to ruin Ivy for accusing him, he plans his revenge and when he takes action he instantly regrets it. These two love each other so much but outside forces are always against them. Physical abuse, darkness and infidelity are all in full force in this short read. When they both have spies to spy on each other there is nothing but chaos that will ensue and then the plan for revenge almost always backfires. Read this short read that will stay with you a lot longer than it takes you to read but beware of the triggers. Its not a cozy, happy love story.
This is an intense dark romance which is a very quick read, but one that will stay with you. I would recommend checking the trigger warnings before reading. The storyline focuses on an unhealthy relationship which spirals and results in physical domestic violence. For such a short book it really had me hooked. The feelings and emotions of the couple at the heart of the story really came across in the narrative. The suspicion that was felt was particularly powerful. An intriguing and emotional read, but one which I would recommend as long as the triggers are considered first.

This was a short story about soul mates destined to find each other in every life and destroy each other over and over in every life. It’s a cycle of accusations, betrayals, and the repercussions of those betrayals. A simple story with a single message about the consequences of actions.

This was such a fast read, but it definitely kept you on the line until the end. A story about love, betrayal, and revenge.. All in what seems to be an unending cycle for the couple. A bit of a twist at the end as well.

Glass Houses by Sinister Styx was such a good short story. You get sucked right in and boom it’s over. I wish there was more but honestly it didn’t need more to make an impact. It really emphasized what people will do for love, every action has a consequence and well what goes around comes around.

Glass Houses is an extremely short story about Ivy and Falcon with a falling marriage. The feeling of a failing marriage with the two hurting one another is the crux to be explored. The range of emotions that these characters have throughout the few pages is drastic. The content of this book is 18+ due to the graphic nature and adult situations. It took me about 10 minutes to read, I do wish it was a bit longer. There is a nice twist in the end. Will these two find happiness in the end or are they doomed to shatter apart?

Serin is out spying on Falcon for Ivy and both think they’re undetected but Falcon is more than aware and comes home in a rage 😡 and is out to hurt Ivy and that he does at one of their “parties” with Lantia which left me all over the place , heartbroken and sad for our lost , confused and jealous lovers and again it’s a lesson that karma is a nasty thing …..
This is my first time reading a book by Sinister Styx, so I don’t really know what to expect but I was super excited to read this story. This is an extremely short read but that did not take away from the quality of it. It should not take you no more than an hour to get read. As for the story, dark romances are one of my favorite genres so after seeing this and then reading the synopsis I dove in and loved it. You know you just want that feeling you wanna read but don’t wanna be tied down for long. Well this is the perfect fit for you. The author is really talented if in such a short read made me feel so many emotions alongside Ivy and Falcon. I will definitely check out more of this author’s work.
This was a super short story. I read, no devoured it all in one sitting. That’s not to say that it was lacking. This author knows how to pack a lot into a small amount. It did however, leave me wanting more. I likely would have said that if it were 500 pages long. Sinister Styx has a way of telling a story that always leaves you begging for more. Read the trigger warnings, as this can definitely be a triggering story. If you aren’t bothered by those triggers, I highly recommend reading it. There is so much emotion captured in such a short novel. A great read for sure.
Short, quick and to the point. This book sucked me in and had me wanting more before leaving me pleasantly surprised. Honestly, I’d read a sequel in a heartbeat. I think this book could easily be made into a longer version where I would be just as interested and even more invested in the characters. Great Read!

This is a short story that has a very Romeo and Juliet feel to it with a twist of Greek/Roman mythology mixed in. I really enjoyed it…it is a very short read (like 15 minutes); however, it captivated me and I was invested until the end. The range of emotions I felt for Ivy and Falcon were from hatred and anger to sympathy and heartbreak literally within the span of the 28 pages of the story. The fact that Styx can develop the characters and the plot within such a short time is nothing short of amazing. There are twists and turns that you are not expecting and I was very pleasantly surprised at the ending. This is a very graphic story so PLEASE check the trigger warnings before you read if you need to. I look forward to reading more from Sinister Styx.

This very short, quick read is packed full of character development and immersive story telling. It takes a great author to accomplish these things within a mere 28 pages, but Sinister Styx doesn’t miss a beat! There are many elements packed into this book: deceit, revenge, murder, and a curse (to name a few). And the ending had me surprised and wishing the story didn’t have to end. I could see this being a full-length novel filled with even more drama. That is my only “negative” about Glass Houses, that I wish it had been longer. Can’t wait to read more by this author!

First off, this story was not what I assumed it would be about. But, Glass Houses still blew me away. The author did an amazing job packing so much feeling and umph into such a short story. I highly agree with the trigger warning, and was glad that it was short, because it probably would have been too much for me if it was a full length book. I have read other books by this author, under another pen name and loved them, so I definitely wanted to give this one a try. There was a reveal at the end that I didn’t see coming, but it fit perfect. Ivy and Falcon have an intense relationship, and when their trust in each other gets a crack, it spreads until their lives shatter. Highly recommend if you can get beyond the triggers- The author packed so much into so few pages. I look forward to seeing more from her.

Glass Houses is a dark romance by Sinister Styx. This is a short but powerful story of betrayal, mistrust, and revenge. The characters and the story are intense. This story is well-written and draws you in right away. You can see the end decisions coming and you’re screaming at the characters not to do what you know they will. The ending was a great twist and made total sense. I would love to see this as a full book. I was very disappointed when it ended.

This being a new to me author I didn’t know what I was getting myself into, but I was incredibly intrigued by the premise of the story. I can say I was pleasantly surprised. Now this story is short, but it most definitely packs a punch, pulls you in, and doesn’t let go until you’re finished. I went into it blind because I don’t have many sensitivities when it comes to reading, although I can see where someone who does would want to check into the trigger warnings beforehand as Ivy and Falcon definitely sent up some red flags. If twisted, revenge/murder plots, and dysfunctional relationships are your jam I think you won’t regret giving this book a go.
Super quick read, 4 chapters that tells a whole story in a very concise package. While short, there’s tons of detail packed into this story about love, marriage, revenge and regret. Ivy and Falcon are a married couple who keep being reborn because they just keep getting it terribly wrong and leading to each others deaths. Serin and Lantia are in cahoots to bring them down thanks to a plot for revenge that Lantia keeps reenacting to satisfy her anger.
Some nice descriptive writing of a very traumatizing and unhealthy relationship.
I love reading Sinister Styx books, and this one was no exception. What a great short story that shows the perils of what happens when fate steps in. This book had drawn me in right from the start. I knew that there would be trouble in paradise between the two main characters, but I had no idea that it would go to such extremes so quickly. Think that you’ve got this story figured out as you read, think again as the author throws in a wicked twist at the end. I cannot read more from Sinister Styx; she has an amazing way to develop storylines that grab a hold and draw you in right from the start.
