Conveniently Yours (Titans Of Manhattan BOOK 1) by Anise Storm – Review by Skylar Daniels

Conveniently Yours (Titans Of Manhattan, #1)Conveniently Yours by Anise Storm
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the first book in the Titans od Manhattan series by the author Anise Storm. Conveniently, this is the first book that I have read from this author, and I was not disappointed. The authors style of writing is very unique and interesting. She was able to transport me into her world she was creating and have the power to have her readers feel all of the emotions the characters are experiencing.
Caspian Archer can only accomplish those two paramount tasks that will he secure his inheritance. What he needs is someone willing to agree to an arrangement of convenience and spare him the emotional ties of settling down.

With her mother in a coma, and the insurance benefits running out, Paisley will soon be strapped with the financial responsibility of her care. She has no idea how she’s going to provide for both of them until a childhood friend comes to her with an unconventional offer.

Queen of Hearts (Heels, Rhymes & Nursery Crimes Vol. 21) By Natalina Reis – Review by Skylar Daniels

Queen of Hearts (Heels, Rhymes & Nursery Crimes, #21)Queen of Hearts by Natalina Reis
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The fact that the Queen of Hearts wants to put a stop to abusive/cheating men, makes this story even more amazing. This is the first book that I have read from this author, and I was not disappointed. I could not resist reading this book much less able to put it down long enough to feed myself. This fast-paced story had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. I was captured at the very beginning of the first page and did not stop reading until the last page was finished. We all know the nursery rhyme, now read the author’s story. The characters are believable and alive that it makes you feel like they are your friends in real life sitting next to you. All I can say is taking the chance on this author; you won’t regret it.

It only took me a day to read this awesome book. I highly recommend this book for any and everyone who is interested in reading. You will not be disappointed.

Everything to Me (Playing for Keeps Book 2)Everything to Me by Lauren Fraser
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This would have to be one of my favorite books at the moment! Sadly, I was not able to read the first book in the series but I’m So Thankful that I was able to read this book without having to read the first one. It’s a standalone. It’s a smart and sexy best friend sister sports romance. She (Kendall Graves) is off-limits, but this pro-baller (Pete Saunders) has never been one to follow rules. Kendall has always been in love with her brother’s friend for as long as she can remember. She has always just been his buddy’s annoying little sister. Until here recently. When a professional baseball player agrees to let her stay with him while she’s in town, it never occurred to him she’d tempt him to break bro-code. Rule number 1- don’t touch your friend/teammate’s sister. Rule number 2- see rule number 1. I highly recommend this book to anyone love loves reading sports romance. I’m excited to see what the author has instore in the coming future.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is book 5 of the Mafia Elite series. I highly recommend reading the other books in the series first as you would be confused if the books were read out of orders and some things would also be spoiled.
This book focuses on the relationship between Luc and Summer. I enjoyed summer’s strength and her ability to stand on her own two feet despite life throws many curb balls at her. I also enjoyed Luc’s character arc and seeing him grow from self-made businessman into a mafia heir who has a family and is one of five families who run the Chicago mob scene. I’m excited to see what the author has in store for this storyline in the near future.

Collateral Damage: A Second Chance Mafia Romance (Mafia Elite Book 6)Collateral Damage: A Second Chance Mafia Romance by Amy McKinley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is book 6 to the mafia elite series and I was not disappointed yet again. Just when you think the author has all the characters written into their own story, she writes more character stories that will leave you breathless and itching for more. Her writing is so dynamic and engaging that I’m not able to sit still and I’m always on the edge of my sitting waiting for more. This is Trey De La Rosa’s story, who lives 2 lives as a doctor and mafia surgeon for the five mafia families. This duality leads very little time for any personal life, not that Trey wants one after what happened. That’s until he is approached by Allen in a frantic state telling him that someone has kidnapped Hailey for a ransom. As more secrets unfold, more threats arise from those within and outside of the mafia.

This was such a cute contemporary romance. It’s the first book in the Hustlers trilogy and i was not disappointed. It’s a quick and steamy read that is set in the world of the rich and the beautiful Italy, with lots of chemistry. The characters are intriguing, very intriguing, but their stories were captured very well in my opinion. This is my first time reading a book by Rowan and it’s fun and had me laughing most of the time with the banter between the characters. It had a little bit sugar and spice. I look forward to future books from this author.

Doctor D’s Orderly Affair is a short read about a doctor with a bad boy, one-night stand reputation and an orderly, named Emily’s romantic endeavor. It’s such a cute and great story. They’re both pretty amazing and similar yet different in many ways and it works. I love how the story had romance but also played out the hospital part too, it was well balanced and well written. It is the first book I’ve read from the world of Doctors of Eastport General, but I will definitely be checking out the other books in the series.

This is the second book in the Anchoress series, and you don’t really need to read the first book, but I would highly recommend it. Not only to get you up to speed but also because it’s an amazing adventure in its own. Once again Van must cross over to the Living World and go on a dangerous quest to save both worlds. This time she must face her inner turmoil and decide whether to allow herself to acknowledge a forbidden love. At times it’s funny, intense, sad, romantic, mystical, and much more. Each character is so well written that you can’t help but get invested in them even if you’ve only known them for a short period of time. So, when we lose some along the way, you feel it just like those in the book. The fact that some don’t make back actually makes this series more endearing, because it increases the realism for the reader.
