This is the second book in this series and while this series follows a circle of friends, you can read this book on it’s own. Christy and Ryan aren’t strangers, and this second chance romance will give you all the feels. This author, Haley Rhoades, is quickly becoming a one click author for me. Small town, sports romances are really good.

Lol. This another good book and it can be read as a stand alone. However since some character to pop up that are in the previous books reading books one and two isn’t a bad idea. Heath and Grace first meet at the bachelor auction that benefitted the animal shelter ran by Grace. Is there such a thing as instant hate? If there is then these two has it down pat. Grace disliked Heath because she thought he was arrogant and cocky. Heath dislike Grace because she was bossy and he definitely didn’t like her treating him as if he were a child. They start to become close when they have to be in close proximity of one another and are then left alone due to unforseen events. As they get to know one another they realize that they don’t hate one another after all. There may be a chance at a real relationship if both participants are willing. I have enjoyed this series and hope there are more.

View all my reviews

A first read by this author for me, I really enjoyed this story. The characters were well developed, drawing you in keeping you turning the page just to find out what happens next. I’m looking forward to the next book in the series, but until then, I’ll be going back and starting at the beginning. I would recommend this book.

I LOVED this book! Reading the characters wrestle with themselves, and each other, over their feelings made the book hard to put down. It was a great world building and fantastic characters. I’ll be recommending to all my fellow romance readers!
Grand Slam by Bree Kraemer is Ground Rule Book three. This series can each be read as a stand-alone but honestly I LOVED being able to read about the other couples and anticipate each story! Grace has been working at the animal shelter, though not completely lucrative, something she absolutely loved. Heath is a hot baseball player that Grace simply can’t stand. Or can she? After meeting him weeks ago in a celebrity charity auction for the city’s animals shelters, she wants nothing to do with him. But Heath has other plans when he inserts himself into her life and doesn’t give her an option to run. I absolutely love Bree’s style. The characters are so lovable and easily relatable. I enjoyed watching Heath break Grace down but by bit. The connection between the characters is evident but Grace is refusing to believe she can have anything good. Do yourself a favor and read this amazing series.

Sacrifice Bunt by Bree Kraemer is Ground Rule Book two. Ahhh I was so excited for Zara’s story! She is the rough around the edges friend and one who hasn’t been in love, ever. Very career focused, and darn good at what she does in the sports world, she doesn’t date athletes anyway and especially not ones named Noah. Noah saved a beautiful woman’s life one day years ago and hasn’t been the same since. Being the poster boy baseball player, he’s never in trouble, never seen with a woman and never on a scandal. Mainly because there’s only one girl he wants. Hint: it’s Zara, from the fire. I loved these two. I loved Zara and how real she felt. Their chemistry was amazing and let me tell you this book was spiiiicy. I loved everything about these two. I am excited to read the next book!

This is the 2nd book in the series but can be read as a standalone. Noah an Zara have a past that they are both running from an Zara avoids Noah like the plague. She makes it known to everyone how much she dislikes him. But in the end will their feelings overcome their past? I liked Noah an Zara story better than the first book.

They havent seen each other in years so when they do they realize their love has never gave up. But can their love make it through the secret Celia has kept from Kyle all these? This book is fun, easy going, steamy an a quick read.

I LOVE a good sports romance novel so when I saw this one I just knew that I had to read this book! I have read other books by this author and I have enjoyed reading them so I had to read this one too! I was ENTRANCED with this book. It gripped my attention and I was unable to think of anything OTHER than this book! I found myself wanting to read it while I was on my breaks at work wanting to know what was happening. This series is fast becoming one of my favorites and I cannot wait to read more by this author!!

Grand Slam is book 3 in the series and this series just keeps getting better and better. I love these characters and want to be friends with them. Haha This book is focused on Heath and his love interest. Back when they did the bachelor auction he met a thorn in his side names Grace who ran the animal shelters they were raising money for. She seemed very bossy and tested Heath like a child. They both seemed to Dislike eachother a great deal. Why can’t either of them get the other out of their mind? They see eachother again at the hospital when Hannah has her baby. Grace and Heath end up sleeping at Hannah’s house for the night until Grace leaves first thing in the morning trying to put space between her and Heath before something could happen. To bad for Grace, Heath doesn’t give up Easily. This was such a great read and cannot wait to see what else this author has to share with us.

Grand Slam is Book Three of The Ground Rules Series. It is a sports romance story that can be read as a standalone, or as a part of the series. I highly recommend reading the entire series because this author has a fantastic writing style that will draw you into her stories and make you want to read more. This story centers around the characters of Grace and Heath.
Grace is working her dream job at the local animal shelter which she loves but it barely pays the bills. When she first meets Heath, it is during an event that she planned for the animal shelter, and she instantly dislikes him. She found him difficult to deal with as well as cocky. Heath is a professional baseball player who makes a lot of money and that also rubs Grace the wrong way. Months later Heath’s sister is having a baby and when he arrives at the hospital he is surprised to run into Grace. A woman he found bossy, rude, and who treated him like a child incapable of doing the simplest task while he was trying to help with the animal shelter event months earlier. Grace and his sister have become friends since the event which Heath was unaware of. Although Heath found Grace bossy and rude, he has not been able to stop thinking about her. Grace finds herself attracted to Heath as well but neither want to admit to their attraction to the other. Is there a chance of love and romance between them?
This was another phenomenal story by this talented author. Her writing style immerses you into the lives of the characters who you instantly feel a connection to. It was interesting to read Heath and Grace’s story and watch them evolve and grow as characters. The initial attraction between them slowly grows into more and you find yourself rooting for them to be together. Heath is a good-looking, professional ball player that makes a lot of money, but the fame and fortune have not gone to his head. He is down-to-earth, looking for the right girl and is not into playing the field anymore. Grace is smart, feisty, hard-working, and determined. She loves her job at the animal shelter and puts her heart and soul into her job. Although the two come from different worlds the attraction between them is undeniable. This book has love, romance, attraction, passion, humor, angst, and a rollercoaster ride of emotions.

This was such a great read and one that I thoroughly enjoyed. I haven’t read the first book in the series and I would definitely like to read that one also. I like sports romance reads but never read a golf themed book before and I really was enjoyable. I liked Christy she was a lovely person and Ryan wasn’t quite was I was expecting either! They did seem to have a genuine attraction and chemistry. There were some great characters in the book and I’m definitely looking forward to reading more from this author again in the future.

The second book in the series, I thought this was a great follow up to the first book and can be read as a standalone. I thought this book was even more entertaining than the first. The connection between the characters was just as strong as those in the first but I found these ones to be funnier. I enjoyed watching their relationship build as the story went on. I am very much enjoying this series so far and I really hope that it carries on the way it is. I am looking forward to the next book in the series and will be checking out some of other books by this author too.
This is a great second chance romance and one in which you will really root for the characters the whole way through. This book is a combination of some of my favourite tropes – second chance, secret baby, sports. I knew I was going to enjoy this book as soon as I started reading and I can definitely say that I did. It was lovely to see the connection between the main characters build again after so much time apart. This is a new author to me and if this book is anything to go by it is one who will become very familiar. I really enjoyed getting to know these characters and the overall writing style. It found the book to be easy to read, the perfect escape into a fictional world. I am looking forward to book 2 already.

Sacrifice Bunt (Ground Rule Book 2) by Bree Kraemer. This is a really good enemies to lovers read. Its about Zara who is focused on her career and has no time for romance. She is almost like a man in the sense that she loves them then leaves them. Noah is a MLB player and a friend of a coworker of Zara’s so when he walks in on Zara completely naked waiting on his friend he can’t get her out of his mind. Zara thins Noah has a stick up his rear and she doesn’t like him because he found her in a vulnerable state. Zara doesn’t realize the trauma Noah has been thru and just doesn’t like him. When they kiss she changes her mind and can’t get him out of her mind. Will they be able to get past their hang ups and make a relationship work or will they let the problems of the past cause it to never work. This book will have you turning the pages late in the night until you are finished. Such a good slow burn read.
Perfect. Sometimes I just need a sweet, sexy and no drama romance. This hit the spot. Noah being in love with Zara for so long had me falling in love with him. This author creates a light story but also sheds light on real genuine issues. Noah and his panic attacks and Zara with her fear of falling in love. My heart just melted watching how Noah had no problem waiting for Zara as long as it took and seeing Zara talk with her friends and realize things about herself was sweet. I love their love.
This is the third book in the Ground Rule Series. Each book definitely functions as a standalone. However, I have thoroughly enjoyed this series and definitely recommend reading the whole thing as each book is so very good. This is a contemporary sports romance with characters who are so very well written. The main characters have such amazing chemistry and its the type of book that I love, the kind that you wish will never end. I have thoroughly become invested and involved in the world that Bree Kraemer creates in each of her books. It doesn’t hurt that this features baseball players, as I enjoy baseball and grew up both playing softball and surrounded by family members that have played throughout high school and in their adult years. Bree Kraemer writes characters who have fantastic banter and the dialogue between Heath and Grace definitely falls into this category. I hope that this is not the end of the series as I have loved every book so far!

Two different worlds collide The third book in the Ground Rules series and I’m loving this series. This is Heath (Hannah’s brother) and Grace’s story. I really like how the series has the continuation of storylines from the previous books and the characters crossover. There’s drama, chemistry, baseball and of course steam as these two work out their relationship. Looking forward to more from this author. Recommend.

They were such adorable characters. Ryan was an amazing lead character and definitely brought the sizzle to the book. I loved all of the supporting characters in the story as well. They created a great group of friends who got along well and supported each other. I have not read the first book in this series, but I will be remedying this immediately and I can’t wait to read book 3! This was a great story full of humor and love.

This book is part of a series that I have enjoyed reading from the first book. This is the third book but I highly suggest reading the previous two books as well. They are just as great if not greater. I have enjoyed reading this author’s books as I know that I am in for a journey of romance and a great story. This is a well written story about being from two different worlds but what happens when the attraction is greater. I enjoyed how the characters pulled me into their world with ease. They are strong, supportive and add so much to the story. This is a romance story that is easy to read and hard to put down. I enjoyed watching the growth of the relationship as well as the chemistry between these two. I really enjoyed reading this book and I highly recommend it.

5 Stars Ladies of the Links (Ladies of the Links Book 2) by Haley Rhoades
Ladies of the Links is a Second Chance Romance/Sports Romance that once you start reading its hard to put down. This is a new author to and I’m definitely going to go back and read the first book in this series. The attention to detail and fun, relatable and fully developed characters make the story come to life. Ryan and Christy haven’t seen each other in several years and things didn’t end well for him. Christy has been living her best life just as a mom can until she sees him for the first time in five years. There’s definitely chemistry between them. Christy works at the Golf club Ryan is a new member of. These two fall right back like there was no time list between. Can these twohrt their Happy ending? Will Ryan be a good father? I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I’m definitely going to be going back to read the first book in this series. Im looking forward to reading more from this Author.

I loved this 3rd book of the Ground Rule series…..full of enemies to lovers, baseball, spicy romance, new beginnings, meddling friends, a sweet shelter dog and a relentless family. This story of Heath and Grace was fantastic and I highly recommend reading this series in order due to all the characters are woven in each book story-line so wonderfully, every book comes in full circle.
Heath is loving life being a professional baseball player and being surrounded by his wonderful family and friends. The one thing Heath does not have is a family of a wife and kids of his own. When Heath’s sister has her baby, Heath is love at first sight with his precious niece. The one woman he cannot get out of his mind is Grace…who works at local animal shelters.
Grace is focused on being independent and solely relies on herself in life. Working long hours at the local animal shelters, she does not have time for the dating scene and she sure as heck has no time for Heath. At a charity auction, Grace was not overly impressed with Heath and wanted nothing to do with him.
When a chance encounter brings Heath and Grace back….with the sparks fly or will the bitterness get between them? Will Grace swallow her pride and finally feel that she is truly good enough for Heath?
Highly recommended sports romance and I loved every character in these books so much and felt so invested. I cannot wait to see what this author has in the future for me to read :).

I’ve read the first two books in the Ground Rule series and this third one is just as good as the other two. All can be read as a stand alone but I do like knowing a bit of the back stories. Bree Kraemer does a wonderful job of helping you envision every moment in the book. Heath and Grace’s banter back and forth leading to the best decision. A wonderful read that will keep you engulfed for hours.

An enjoyable and engaging sports romance which kept me happily turning the pages. Professional baseball player Heath Bailey has a good life, amazing friends and family, and his team just won the championship, but he wants someone to love. Well, not just someone but the women he can’t get off his mind, Grace, and so in an attempt to see her he decides to go to the animal shelter that she runs and get a dog. Having met the incredibly cocky and arrogant baseball player at an event for the animal shelter and disliked him, Grace Dyer is not that happy to see him again. However, after their second encounter she can’t seem to stop thinking about him, but coming from different worlds she doesn’t think that a relationship would work, but Heath has other ideas! A sweet and steamy romance between two characters who’s chemistry sizzled off the page.

Grand Slam is the third book in the Ground Rule sports series. Each book can be read as a standalone, but you should start at the beginning with Walk Off and work your way through. Bree’s storytelling and the ease in which she comes up with amazing stories and the journey into relationships. This book is well written and is fun and with humour and emotional and intense at times. The story flows nicely and making it a quick and easy read making it easy to become lost in the story. The stories will keep you on your toes to see how things go and by the time you have finished you won’t be disappointed. Bree writes complex characters that are relatable and know what they want. Each couple have their own trials and tribulations to work through to become one. The men in the series will make you all hot and sweaty and these sassy and smart women feel like friends. The story is steamy with yet at times emotional and intense. Grace has never met a man she disliked so much until she met him. Now it appears he is back in her life, and she sees another side to him. Not that it would ever work. Or would it? Heath has everything he has ever wanted but the one thing to make him complete. Now he is ready to move the bases and make his play. I highly recommend you won’t be disappointed. I can’t wait to see what Bree comes up with next.

Sacrifice Bunt is the second book in the Ground Rule Series. This is a wonderfully written Sports Romance that once you start reading its hard to put down. I literally read this in one sitting as I had to know how things were going to end. These two have some serious chemistry between. This author is one of the reasons I love Sports Romance so much. Her attention to detail makes the story come off the pages along with creative, yet strong and fully developed characters. This is definitely my favorite of this series yet. This is a fast paced story that will have you turning the pages. Can these have more than one night? I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens between Noah and Zara. Im super excited about the next book in this series and looking forward to reading more from this Author.

This is book 2 Ground Rules Series, it can be read as a stand-alone but it’s nice to have the other story. I loved Noah and Zara’s story. Zara is a confident career driven woman. As a sports agent she has a rule to never get involved with a man that plays sports. Noah, an all star sports player, who’s been in love with her since that night he rescued her from a fire. Their chemistry is strong, neither can deny it. Once they finally reconnect, sparks fly! Watching them learn to understand each other and themselves is was wonderful. I’m very excited for the next story in this series.

Grand Slam is the third book in the Ground Rule Series by Bree Kraemer. This is a sublime contemporary sports romance with a bit of an opposites attract element, drama, angst, chemistry, and emotion. As expected, this story made my heart feel every detail- experiencing every high and low right beside the characters as the story unfolded. Ms. Kraemer has a talent for heartfelt stories- and always manages to pack a lot of heart and soul into her books. While also crafting endearing characters you feel you ‘know’ and want to hang out with- even if they frustrate the death out of you from time to time. This is the third book in the series, but it can be read as a standalone. But having said that, I highly recommend reading the other books in the series as well because they are equally as good. I’m not sure if this third book is the final in the series, as there is no mention of a fourth book (yet). But I sure hope there is more coming… Happy reading.

This is book 3 of this series, and can be read as a standalone, though I don’t know why you’d want to!
Heath Bailey is a professional baseball player who first meets Grace Dyer while helping his friend and business manager, Zara, with a bachelor auction to benefit the animal shelter that Grace runs. At first, both Grace and Heath think that they hate the other person. Heath doesn’t like Grace because she’s bossy and he feels like she treats him like he’s stupid. She hates him because he is rich and she is afraid that he will look down on her. When Heath’s sister unexpectedly goes into labor on the weekend of her baby shower, it leaves Heath and Grace unexpectedly alone in her house, where both start to question their feelings for one another. When Heath adopts a dog from the shelter Grace runs, and unexpectedly rescues Grace from a set up for a date with a friend of her brothers (that she wants no part of) by pretending to be her boyfriend for a family dinner, the pair start to spend time together and sparks fly, despite Grace trying her hardest not to let that happen. There is plenty of steamy scenes, lots of heart and even a sweet dog (or more), and a guaranteed happily ever after.
