On the surface this book is your typical bad boy romance, but really it is just so much more. Paige has the life she wanted until she found out her husband was cheating on her. Beckett is spiraling out of control. A chance meeting with someone from their past is just what the doctor ordered for these two. Can he help her let go of the past? Can she help him find his path? I loved this story so much. I felt like I really felt the characters. I will definitely be reading the next in this series.

So this one took me a while to read. I feel it was just overlong and to much internal dialogue for me. I liked the characters and was easily able to empathize with them on one hand. The other is frustration with the way they act and react. I understand Beckett and his downward spiral and Paige’s unhappy marriage but out of the two she is my most irritating. She has morals(to an extent) and is smart but she walks a gray line in the marriage side. So she frustrated me a lot. Beckett is honest and open about his past and doesn’t hide from it.
A few things I did like is the honesty of Beckett he really owned his mistakes. Also the advice from his Dad and brother is priceless. I wish there would have been a bit more of them.
Overall this isn’t a favorite one for me. Its an okay read but if you like a drawn out romance with a lot of angst this could be for you.

This was my first book by G.K. Brady and I’m not one for hockey, but this was a good book. I had to keep reading to find out what Paige was going to do. I love the way the characters developed in this story. The author really kept you instead in the story by the way she wrote the world around it. Everything going on around them it was fait that finally kicked in. Beckett had his world turned upside down and Paige was there to pick up the pieces. When Paige thought, her world was coming to an end Beckett was there. I will get the rest of the books to this series to keep reading about the romances that the author puts in front of us.

Brady – Review by Heather Watson
Paige and Beckett met, briefly, in college and had a real pull towards each other. Before anything could come of it, Beckett was drafted into the NHL and Paige ended up being wowed by an older man and getting married.
Beckett realized his dream and then proceeded to become the bad boy of hockey, with excellent plays and wins, hard partying ways and lots and lots of women he wasn’t interested in keeping around. He did, however, create a kids hockey camp, a restaurant and more and was very proud of the people he helped succeed through them. Paige pursued her dreams of flipping and designing, selling, and eventually pursuing building new houses, but her husband has seemed less interested in coming home to spend time with her in between business trips and the passion is lacking.
After the final straw of Beckett getting into trouble he can’t get himself out of, he finds himself back in town selling off all of the high end things he acquired through his career in order to pay off the people he owed money to. It turns out without all of the drugs and women, he is a pretty solid guy. When he meets Paige again, he makes a less than stellar first impression.
Eventually, he realizes they’ve met in the past and build a beautiful friendship. In the course of life, things change and they begin to have feelings for one another but never act on them – too afraid to ruin a beautiful friendship. Will they take a chance together? Is there a happily ever after for Andy and Beckett? This is a well written book with very likable characters that keep you invested.

I enjoyed reading this romance story. This is the second book in this series which is just as great as the first one if not better. I have enjoyed reading this author’s books from the first one I picked up by her. Her books are engaging and her writing style is such that she brings the story to life with her skills. This book is no different. I enjoyed how the characters pulled me into the story from the start. They made this book fun and entertaining to read. This is a hard to put down story that you don’t want to miss. There is great growth and chemistry throughout the story. I truly enjoyed reading this story and what the characters brought to the story just added to it. I highly recommend this book.

Beckett has the reputation of the bad boy of hockey but when he is linked to drug’s everything goes away overnight. His endorsements, his career and then his money have vanished, he is broke and broken, so the only thing he can do to save himself is sell his house.
Paige is a real estate agent tasked to helping Beckett sell his house, but she herself is having issues with a divorce and can she really be bothered to be charmed by an ex-hockey player, but as they start to get to know each other, things start to change and her feelings for Beckett start surfing.
This is a great story of strength and rediscovery; the story introduces two broken people and with a budding friendship along the way discovers that they aren’t as broken as they thought they were. Paige is trapped in a marriage, trying desperately to hang onto anything in the end it is just better to cut the tie, causing her to re-evaluate what she truly needs and wants. With Beckett it is a discovery that all his life he has had people telling him “Yes” and when he finds the one true person who cares enough to say “no” to him he starts to look closely at the person he has become and decides he does not like that person very much.
So as the story entwines both these characters you discover a blossoming romance and respect for each other. I can’t wait to read the next boo in this series.

Beckett is the ultimate bad boy, if it can be done he’s probably done it. Paige is the sweet, introverted, do everything by the book good girl. They knew each other in college and even though their lives took different paths they are ultimately led back to one another. Beckett’s career is on the rocks, and Paige’s marriage is on equally rocky ground. Can Beckett redeem himself, save his career, and earn the love of someone who he probably isn’t worthy of? Can Paige let her guard down and trust someone to not hurt her? This enemies-to-lovers book is a must read!

Gotta loves a HOT sports read! Beckett is your hot shot bad boy. NHL star player, incredibly in shape, all around ladies man. Paige is dealing with a cheating husband and a grueling divorce. They needed each other in more ways than they realized, Paige needing the commission money from selling beckets house, or being each others listening ear. The chemistry is off the charts! They both learn to trust and realized what they need/want in life together in their own ways. Great contemporary sports read.

Ok so I’m a huge sports romance fan but throw in a bad boy too and I’m grabbing that book barely even reading the synopsis which is exactly what happened with this book AND it did not disappoint! I was hooked from beginning to end. There was so much more to this book than a bad boy hockey player, I really feel like I went on a journey with the characters in this story. The growth that both Beckett and Paige go on is so emotional and the friendship and connection that they have with each other is so lovely. I pretty much fell for Beckett straightaway! This truly is a wonderful story and so much more than I first anticipated it to be! Highly recommend 5 star read!

I love nothing more than a steamy sports novel with a cabin scene! This book felt realistic and I loved how the main characters could really be honest with each other without judgement. We journey through their friendship while tension builds throughout the book, and I did not want to put it down! Good read for a snowy day by the fire and a cup of hot cocoa. Definitely recommend

This story of two old acquintances really started off with a bang, quickly throwing us into the lives of Beckett Miller and Paige “Andie” Anderson. After Beckett’s lifestyle quickly goes down the drain pretty fast with one bad choice after another, Paige meets him in the midst of his crash. Together, they slowly begin to bond as friends while Paige’s husband acts like a huge piece of trash. In between the opposite lifestyles, endearing similarities, and huge events occurring between the two, it’s a great and fast read to a HEA with a HEA sneak peek.

This is an enjoyable, slow build romance that focuses on the journey of the characters. I was a little hesitant when starting this book as I knew that Paige was already married and I tend to find cheating storylines unnecessary. I didn’t need to worry though as the author didn’t take that route and I found myself engaging with the book and the characters. I really do enjoy a sports romance and this one was no different. This book is all about the characters and the situations they find themselves in. It was great to watch their development over time and to see which way their journey took them. The book was fairly slowed paced but worked well for the story the author was trying to create. This is a thoroughly enjoyable book and I am looking forward to reading the next in the series.

I don’t know why I keep doing this to myself! I start reading a book only later to discover it is part of a series. I think I can read just the one but these authors must be Lays because you can’t read just one. This book had me feeling all the feels. I wanted to shake Beckett several times and ask him what the heck he was thinking but it turns out he absolutely was thinking about Andie.
Beckett has been the bad boy of hockey for a long time and while his career has taken minor hits, it has not been truly affected due to his antics. Until now. One mistake, one night he can’t forget. It will cost him everything and almost everyone. As Beckett is trying to right the sinking ship that is his life, he has a chance encounter with a blast from the past.
Paige is moving in the right direction. Her company is growing. She has new opportunities popping up almost everyday. She is in a loving marriage. Or so she thought until one phone call proves that she doesn’t know her husband after all. Paige has started a friendship with Beckett. Andie, as Beckett calls her, knows that friendship is all it can ever be because Beckett is and has always been a player. After being burned by her now ex-husband, Paige won’t take the chance on someone that will end up breaking her heart. There is so much more to this decision that Paige can’t admit to herself, starting with the strained relationship with her mother.
Throughout the friendship between Beckett and Andie, Beckett changes. They really get to know each other. Andie helps Beckett understand the errors of his ways. Beckett helps Andie push her limits. When Beckett realizes that he wants more will Andie agree?
This story was abso-effing-lutely fabulous. I am so in for the rest of this series. The chemistry between Andie and Beckett was electric. The characters are real. Beckett and Andie each face their own demons in such realistic ways. I am hooked. Bring me more hockey players and the strong women that love or might love them.

Austin Templeton fell in love with the wrong girl. Mavis Benson was never meant to be his. After all, from childhood, her soul belonged to his cross-town rival, twin brother, Josh. Then he met Casey and he has to choose his dream or her. You have to read the rest of the book to see what happens. I can’t wait to read more from this author.

So I was rooting for Josh and Mavis to work out in the first book, but it is hard to not feel bad for Austin and him having his heart broken. I enjoyed reading Austin and Casey and their relationship developing during this book. The author did a great job again in this second book with character development. I enjoyed this second book a little more and look forward to the next book.

I loved this book as well as the first one in the series! Now here’s where you have the heartbroken man who is seriously struggling with moving on. But he moves away and starts again. There’s the love of sports, the love of love, and so many difficult decisions to make. I was full of intense emotions by reading this book and it was so hard to not stay up super late and finish yet another chapter! I’m excited for book 3!!!

Highly charged emotions This is a contemporary romance that just tugs at the heart strings. Austin and Casey’s story is raw and real. Austin has been through so much and Casey is such a free soul. Together they are amazing. It is well worth reading book 1 to get the backstory and to get the full experience if the trilogy. The author has a way of drawing you in, that makes you feel part of the story. Can’t wait for book 3.

Beckett Miller had the life he wanted, wealthy hotshot pro hockey star who could have anything he wanted. That is until it all came crashing down around a drug incident. Now his team has dropped him, he is sent to a new team, his money is gone and his reputation is a walking ad on what not to do.
Paige Anderson is married and running her own company, lately things with her husband have been fairly one sided. Then she finds out he has been cheating. Beckett himself reconnecting with Paige. She is his chance to get is money back. He wants more but Paige wants a friend, as they get closer can she put her trust in Beckett or will this be another big blow up in her life?
I enjoyed this one. Fast paced story with a strong story. I wondered what would happen with Beckett because he is a hot mess and it takes time for him to realize how completely he has derailed his life. Paige I felt for, she is a fascinating lead character. Great story.

Wow I love this book so much! Becketts life is going down hill. Paige has her own company but is also dealing with personal issues as well. But Beckett and Paige meet (again) when they really needed one another. The way the author wrote these characters had me in love with them from the very start. Beckett may seem reckless but I love him! The way this book took ahold of me, is unreal. This book is emotional and heartbreaking but it’s also full of love and positivity. People can do better if they really want too! Just because someone made a few bad decisions doesn’t mean they’re a bad person! This is the first book by G.K. Brady and I didn’t realize this was part of a series, so I can’t wait to read more! Highly highly recommend!!!!!!

I Love you Today is the 2nd book in the Trading Heartbeats series. It should be read in order because there is a lot of back story. It probably could be read alone, but you won’t have the full details of the character’s relationships. I loved this book! Casey and Austin are both great characters. I love that Casey is a klutz and not a perfect cookie cutter girl. She is a down to earth, every day girl, and Austin is pretty cool too for how rich his family is. I can’t believe what he did to Casey but I was happy with their ending. The ending of the book on the other hand, not cool… I need to know what happens next and read Lauren and Mitch’s story. Please be quick with writing and publishing it! But seriously I love this book and series. It is clean but cute and romantic. Can’t wait for book 3.

I didn’t know what to expect going into this book. I wasn’t sure if we were going to have an affair that led the main female character back to her family or if the bad boy hockey star was going to ruin a marriage and return to hockey. I know I am shortsighted when those were the only two outcomes I could think of. Let’s begin the journey that I took through this book without giving away anything (it can be done). So going in, I was already a little miffed with this book just because of the before mentioned outcomes that I could think of. I instantly fell in love with Beckett and Paige. They are both facing obstacles that would be tough for anyone to go through. I did not even fathom what was going to happen in this book and I am glad that I decided to give this book a chance. The love story that unfolds throughout the pages is amazing. There are parts of the book that made me wrinkle my nose because I didn’t care for what was happening but I persevered through the book and it has the most amazing ending I didn’t even think would be possible. I have to give this a 5 star rating because the author did an amazing job with touchy subject matter. It really made me realize that there is away more to the picture than just what can be seen in the black and white. They grey area that lives around what can and should be done is where this story thrives. This book made me feel as if I was part of the story. I even got snippy with anyone who tried to dare interrupt me while reading this. The author has shown me that I must give every book a chance even. if I think I know what is going to happen. Whether the ending was one that I predicted or something completely different, when you read this book you will enjoy the journey the characters take and the amount of growth they have. The book is really well written and kept me turning pages. There is some angst, some steam, love, heartache, and growth all throughout this book. You will not be disappointed with this read.

Brady – Review by Barbara Bohls
I absolutely loved Beckett and Paige’s story. The connection they share, the fierce protectiveness he has for her, the way she falls SO hard without even being able to admit it to herself.
This book holds all you can want. Some spice, the romance, and angst. It keeps you on your toes, and makes you want to keep reading until it’s done.
Beckett and Paige have this undeniable connection, right from the start. He’s a player, she’s a hardworking, one man kinda woman. Can she be the one to change his ways? Or will he forever be the ‘all-nighter’

Brady – Review by Serenity Somers
This is the second book in the Trading Hearts Trilogy. Even though it’s the second book you don’t have to read the first to read the second. Austin, a main character in the first book, lost the love of his life to his twin so he’s naturally gun shy. When the wonderful Casey falls, quite literally in his lap, he is enamored but guarded. Casey has her own hesitations which makes this story cute and light hearted with a little bit of the drama and anxiety that comes from these kinds of situations. Great story with an hea.

Going into this book, I knew it could be read as a stand alone. Now that I have read it, I do need to go back to book 1 to see if things make better sense to me. This book is written in third person with some internal dialogue in between.
Austin has been in love with a girl that isn’t his. She is engaged to his BFF. He helps them pack her stuff up to move back to California from Chicago. His job provides him with the opportunity in Chicago that he can’t refuse. It comes at a great time to give him space away from her and him. In Chicago he meets back up with the girl he didn’t know he needed. Someone different to keep his mind occupied or maybe someone to change how he feels. His job throws him a curve ball and offers him a position of a lifetime back in California. Now he left to decide on his dream job or the girl that stole his heart.
I loved this heart warming story with baseball thrown in. If you are looking for a book that started out like what the heck and gets pieced back together then this book is for you.

I Loved You Today is book 2 in the Trading Heartbeats Trilogy. You can see some of the characters from the first book mentioned, but this can still easily be read as a standalone book. It’s a fun contemporary romance with some baseball thrown in.
Austin Templeton was heartbroken because the girl he fell in love with was destined to be with his twin brother instead of him. So he decides he needs a fresh start, so to speak, and moves far away to Chicago. It’s there that Casey literally falls in his lap. This firecracker is the total opposite from him, and helps to pull him out of his comfort zone while also possibly mending his broken heart. Is he really ready to risk his heart again so soon? Just as he was trying to figure out the answer to that question, his career starts taking off and he gets a promotion offer, but it would take him across the country away from Casey. Will he let her in? Will he stay with her if he does let her in or should he move for his career? Is love really worth risking his heart again, especially after such a brutal heartbreak? All this and more can be answered in the pages of this fast-paced, fun read.
Julie Navickas has continued to write interesting, realistic characters that are believable as they face the possibilities of love and heartache. This second book of the trilogy is just as good if not better than the first, and I truthfully can’t wait for book three.

This was such a sweet book. I read the first book in this trilogy and loved it. I definitely was expecting a lot out of this book because how can you follow up a woman torn between twins. However, I also expected a lot because I wanted a lot for Austin. It was clear that his heart was broken by Mavis and I definitely wanted to see him get his happily ever after. I love how he found someone who was everything he wasn’t. I also loved how fast paced this story was. I did not want to put it down or for it to end. I definitely recommend this book and can’t wait for the next installment in the trilogy.
