Another great story in this series. We again follow Fig, Maia and their playmate a mermaid called Trezzie. Maia shows Trezzie how to make a magnifying glass so she can study her art. This short but sweet picture book is perfect for 6-9 year olds to teach them simple and fun tricks they can try themselves. Highly recommended.

Conveniently Yours is the first book in the Titans of Manhatten series. This book follows Caspian Archer and Paisley Fischer. Caspian is a CEO and Paisley is struggling and financially down on her luck. This book follows the fake marriage troupe which has been done repeatedly within romance and in my opinion is extremely difficult to do well. This author did this well and I would recommend this. Paisley is such a genuinely lovely person you cannot help but love.

This was the first book I have read by this author and it was out of my comfort zone. The story was well written and the characters were well developed and really brought to life on the page. The author really brought home how war is a physical and mental ordeal. He really pulled on my emotions as the characters battled through the story.

This is book 3 in the Meraki series but in my opinion, this can be read as a standalone. I really enjoyed how the characters interact in this author’s stories; they feel so real and I got very invested. This was the most intense read of the series, the mysterious circumstances surrounding her grandfather had me turning the pages for answers. Krystina went through a lot in the story and at times it was heartbreaking and emotional, Another fantastic story for this author.

This is book 2 in the Meraki series but in my opinion, this can be read as a standalone. I really enjoyed how the characters interact in this author’s stories; they feel so real and I got very invested. The author is very good at portraying family dynamics. Mia and Nicholas were not the pairing I would have predicted especially with the beginning of their relationship. but you couldn’t help but become invested and hope they would make it. Another fantastic read from this author.

Finding Starlight is the first book in the Quimby Grove series, this can be read as a standalone.
We meet Ellawyn who moves to Quimby Grove, Pennslyvania to escape her abusive relationship. She spends a lot of time in the local bookstore (a girl after my own heart) where she meets its owner Benji. Benji has been diagnosed with cancer and has asked her grandson Beckett to return to Quimby Grove to help her. We follow a dual point of view alternating between Ellawyn and Beckett.

I loved the relationship that grew between Benji and Ellawyn, Benji was a lovely character. The slow burn romance between Ellawyn and Beckett was everything I needed. The suspense and tension was more than I could handle and I will admit this made my heart melt and a few tears were shed. i would highly recommend this book!

Trigger warnings for cancer, grief, domestic violence and assault.

This is a dual point of view with Luc and Summer.
Luc Savino is the heir to one of the mafia thrones, he is successful and determined to become more powerful as he ascends. Summer Johnson is determined to leave her childhood problems behind her current job is helping but how long will that last for ?
I loved seeing Luc and Summer’s love story progress throughout the book. This was definitely dark, action-packed, suspenseful and steamy.

Trey La Rosa leads a double life as a surgeon at the local hospital and a surgeon for the mafia families. He meets Hailey again, will this be a second chance for them both?
A very character driven story, the authors definitely knows how to captivate you. I loved the danger of the story and how high the stakes were. This was a very action-packed romance I would highly recommend it.

This book is a dual point of view perspective of Liliana and Max.
Wow this certainly packs a punch, we follow Liliana who appears to have the perfect life and a loving family from the outside sadly all she wants to do is escape the clutches of her father. As she returns to her Fathers home after graduating college, she is introduced to her new body guard Max, her main concern is breaking free from her fathers clutches and trusting Max.
Max is from another branch of the Mafia and is infiltrating the family, he changes his appearance and his name to Matt Trambino. He is on a mission to reunite Liliana with her estranged grandfather Vincenzo.
This was the first book I have read by Amy Mckinley and it certainly will not be the last. The character development was unbelievable and totally immersed me within the story. I could not put this down and devoured this in one sitting. This book is full of action, thrills, suspense and hot romance.

Forced to keep their love a secret, they both crave so much more. When Emiliana’s life is threatened Stefano takes things into his own hands.
Another fantastic character-driven story from Amy Mckinley. Emiliana was a incredibly strong and lively character, she is who I want to be when I grow up! (haha) The love between Stefano and Emiliana melted my heart.

This is a dual point of view following Enzo Vitale, heir to the throne of the Chicago Mafia and Sofia La Rosa, an up-and-coming fashion designer. Enzo and Sofia were childhood sweethearts and this story pulled on my heart strings. The book packs an emotional gut-punch of suspense, action, steamy romance, secrets and drama. I would highly recommend this book.

Sera Dwari is an amazing chemist, she is about to revolutionize the drug industry with her creation, Devil’s Breath. She is also an assassin., Sera is tasked with killing billionaire Cassius Batista. Cassius knows there is something off with Sera, no one is this perfect. They fall for each other and Sera must choose between family and love.
I loved the premise not the execution, I wanted more. I wanted more of the drug world side of things, I felt it was introduced then put to the side. I would have also loved more physical connection between Cassius and Sera but the emotional connection was intense. The book was well written and the characters did come to life I would recommend this.

This was a easy to follow children’s sci fi book that definitely kept me interested and I am sure will keep children entertained from start to finish. This lovely children’s book kept me entertained from start to finish. This book was fully of nostalgia from the school library of my childhood. I do think this may be a new heart warming favourite.

Everything To Me by Lauren Fraser is the second book in the playing for keeps series, a best friends sister sports romance. This book can be read as a stand alone as I did.
Kendall has been in love with her brothers best friend Pete for as long as she can remember but sadly he does not reciprocate her feelings.
I love a woman who knows what she wants as isn’t too shy to make that clear. This book was full of laughter and love, what more could a reader want ? Ohh yes, sex, steam and chemistry.
Highly recommended!!

This is the first book in the Hybrid Lovers series. This was not my first Toya Richardson book as I previously read Wild Desires. The story focuses on the human Angelina and her fated mates Luca and Salvatore who are anything but human. They are a hybrid of angels and vampires combined which I didn’t think would be a combination that would work. This reverse harem paranormal romance was captivating, immersive and so so hot. I read this in one sitting and could not put this down as I devoured each page. Toya’s world building and character development are second to none and gave me a new fantasy I never know could exist!! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND GO AND READ IT NOW!!!

I could not put this down! This book is number 2 in the Onyx and Avery series in my opinion this can be read as a standalone as I did. This was a thrilling, immersive, and suspenseful read. Avery wakes up in her own bed at home alone. She has been cut open and sewn back together. What happened and why? Then the killings start, is there a serial killer and does this relate to what happened to Avery? I do not want to say much more as I want you to go on the same amazing rollercoaster I did.
