I thoroughly enjoyed this psychological thriller which held me captivated throughout. Lynn Miller wins a life altering amount on the lottery, and suddenly all her dreams and goals are within reach. However, a stalker suddenly emerges from nowhere and is relentless, but her husband, James seems to be sceptical of the potential risk. Lynn becomes paranoid and uncertain as things become more sinister and family secrets are revealed. Suddenly her wealth is a nightmare not a dream and she’s unsure of who she can trust. To ensure she is safe, Lynn finds herself having to navigate between her wealth, deceit and family loyalty, as lines are blurred between friends and enemies. This is a fast-paced gripping read and the suspense builds chapter on chapter. The characters and setting come alive through the descriptive narrative, which made me feel immersed in the story. I literally could not put this book down, a must read!

Lottery of Secrets by Nadija Mujagic. I loved this book and can’t wait to read another by this author. Its a psychological thriller that will keep you turning pages late in the night. Its the story of Lynn who is terminally ill and in a very abusive marriage. She feels like her life is a sad and just wants it to end peacefully. When she wins the lottery she is determined not to let her husband know and she is for sure not going to share with him. She is going to leave him and find a way for her to live the rest of her life in peace. When a stalker starts to harass her she feels like she can’t trust anyone around her. This is not the peaceful ending she had in mind and she even hires a private investigator to find the stalker. Fast paced, mystery, lies and paranoia abound in this book. The only problem I had with it is I’m not a fan of open endings but all in all it was a great book!

This is a very fast-paced read. There are so many great little nuggets in here with twists and turns everywhere! I’m hoping this is the start to a new series. Every book Nadija Mujagic writes continues to get better and better!!
Carve out enough time to read this in one setting because I promise you, you’ll need/want to!

Wow. This novel had me on the edge of my seat from the very beginning. Poor Lynn, beaten and abused by her husband, Jimmy. Not only does she have a rough home life, but she is also dying from cancer when she wins the lottery. I do not want to give away any spoilers, so I will just say that this book did not disappoint when it came to the shock and surprise of the plot.
I may have found one of my new favorite authors for the thriller genre. This was a relatively fast read and I cannot wait to get my hands on part 2!

Secrets at the Cafe was a different take on a mystery read. The characters were cute and the story was good. I think the author did a nice job of keeping readers attention throughout and not making it too predictable so that I wanted to keep reading!

This is a little mystery that revolves around a little red journal. It is a nice “who dunnit” story. I had suspicions but the author does a good job of throwing the reader off track. There is a slew of characters that grace the pages. All of them involved or suspect in this case. The story started off good but then seemed to drag a bit for me. The characters had a hard time holding my interest as the book moved along. I could easily flip several pages and still be in the same conversation between characters so I really didn’t miss anything. I have read books by this author before. One I loved and another was okay. So I figured I would give her another try. This one just did not work for me.

This is the 4th book in the WaterFyre Rising series. Even though it is part of a series each book revolves around a different couple so you don’t need to read them in order, however I guarantee once you’ve read 1 you will want to read more. The author’s writing is so captivating that it grips you from the first page and doesn’t let go. This book has everything I love to read. From a strong protective alpha with dark secrets, danger, lies, passion, intrigue, human trafficking, and twists and turns i just didn’t expect for me it was definately a thrilling page-turner. This story follows Forrest and Kiera. A chance meeting brings them together and even though the attraction is there they think nothing more of it. Until Kiera is kidnapped and placed up for auction to the highest bidder. Scared and alone she panics until she spots a familiar face in the crowd. Forrest has his own demons to deal with and he is on a revenge mission to get rid of the people who murdered his family and he will stop at nothing until the last person has gone. When he meets Kiera she is like a Ray of light in his dark world and even though he knows he shouldn’t he can’t help but be drawn to her. When she sees her at that place he knows he needs to do whatever it takes to protect her but by doing so has he just put an even bigger target on her back from the people he is trying to destroy. Can he protect Kiera whilst still going after revenge?
This story is so detailed and I love the way it is told from both POV so you can get a complete picture of what each character is thinking and feeling, the turmoil they both go through as they try to navigate the dangerous path in front of them. Even though it is over 400 pages long I read through it so fast because i couldn’t put it down. I needed to know what would happen and if they would get their happy ever after

This book is the first book in the series. It will get you hooked on the first page and you would want to put it down. This dark thriller does talk about some sensitive subjects. So, readers please be warned! The auther does introduce the subjects in a way that is not so triggering. Overall I loved the character development and I am excited to read on in this series. I recommend this book!

Someone set off the smoke alarms because this book is on fire! Oh man, Opposites attract could not be more true for these two. Forrest and Kiera’s paths keep crossing in this fantastic, romantic, suspenseful novel. This second chance romance will have you stuck to the pages until the end. I highly recommend this book.

I really enjoyed this story by Susan Specht Oram. She’ll captivate you in just the first few chapters. This mysterious story will have you holding on till the last moments. Karina is trying to help her grandma in her last moments back home only to be pulled into the journal. Fantastic read.

This was a great 5 star read filled with twists and turns. The author pulls you right in with her writing and you won’t want to put it down. We get so much suspense, drama, betrayal and so much more. Lynn wins the lottery, but did she really win? She has a mysterious stalker and an abusive husband. All of the characters added a great element to the story, the husband is a piece of crap and made me angry at times. My emotions were all over the place while I was reading. Of course there are some things that may be triggers for some so beware. I look forward to reading more from this author and series. 1-click and get started today.

A rainy Saturday read for me – it was fun. I enjoyed the characters in this story -Karina taking care of her Gigi’s cafe, searching for her lost journal, keeping her cousin in check… it is a mystery waiting to be solved. This isn’t my first read by Susan Specht Oram and likely not the last. I really enjoyed Secrets at the Cafe from the very beginning. The opening chapter already evokes emotion and engagement from the very start and the writing kept my attention. I read so many stories written in multiple perspectives I really enjoyed the first person narrative. This author has a talent for writing really great female heroines and this book was no exception. I would definitely recommend Secrets at the Cafe.

Turns out running the cafe is more intense than she anticipated and she couldn’t get her hands on the journal immediately. So when a little red journal is found in the dining room Karina is determined to start reading, but when she turns her back to take care of a customer the journal vanishes.
Now Karina has to find the journal and hunt down the flies inside of it to uncover the past (and maybe a few secrets) while rumors are spreading like wildfire around town. In a suspense about families and secrets things are likely to never be the same.
This is unlike anything I’ve read in a while! With twists and turns and all the determination of a granddaughter missing her grandmother, this is a story I won’t forget. It was fast-paced and kept my attention from start to end. If there’s more like this, I can’t wait to find it.

This was an engaging Suspense mystery that keeps you gripped and guessing throughout the story. The twists and turns means you can’t figure out what is going to happen which kept me reading more as I wanted to find out the answers. Karina Walker has had her life turned upside down when her grandmother passes away leaving her to run the cafe her grandmother has made a success but that’s not all. Her grandmother tells her she needs to read her journal. Karina struggles to carry on her grandmother’s work but when the journal is found by customers and then suddenly goes missing Karina goes on the hunt to find who has taken it and why. The list of suspects keeps growing and as she searches hidden secrets and rumours start to come to life. Can she work through her families past to succeed in her future? What secrets does the journal hold that someone obviously wants? And will the secrets when revealed turn Karina life upside down anymore than it already is? This story is an engaging mystery and a page turning read. I felt in parts sorry for Karina as she gives up everything she knows to fulfill her grandmothers final wish and now she has to struggle with the secrets that come to light as well as coming to terms with all that she has lost.

I love this author! I also love that all the books in this series are intertwined in a way it works magically. Also all the books work extremely well as standalone novels, which is a nice change of pace vs other books that don’t. Secrets at the Cafe are no different. It’s another drama that sucks you in and keeps you wanting more. Tell that to the main character Karina, she hightailed it home when her grandma was fighting for her life. Now with her gran gone she’s running herself ragged. Causing her to confuse people, needing to help all others around her gets her in trouble. So when gran’s notes and knick nak’s started to disappear, Katrina was determined to find them at all costs. But as things start to unravel, is it now time for her to stop or push forward for the answers she seeks? I know I’ve said this before but I’ll say it again. This is probably my favorite book to date. Each book seems to get better and better! An author worth digging into! A story definitely worth the read! Enjoy!

So first off, this book is part of The WaterFyre Rising series, but can be read as a standalone, I didn’t realize until I was halfway through this book that I missed reading one of them super I’m super thankful that it can be read as a standalone. That being said I have read the first two books in this series and this book, just like thoes, did not disappoint. The heat between Forrest and Keira is immediate, though there interactions take a bit of time to really combust, the chemistry is already there from a previous meetings, and being part of the same circle and it has not died down at all.
Forrest is a Doctor, thanks to growing up with his supportive grandma he’s grown his career into a successful life. Now he’s back in Texas for revenge, his father was killed brutally by a gang when he was a young child, he’s made it his life’s mission to avenge his family.
Keira is a fashion photographer, who’s just trying to make ends meet, after a accident at her moms work causes her to fall severely I’ll Keira’s taking every possible job she can, on top of her already busy schedule to pay for her moms medications and treatments. The last thing she has time for or interest in is a relationship or fling, so why she can’t seem to get Forrest off her mind. In a chance meeting the both wind up in Texas at the same time and things just take off from there. Keira gets kidnapped and it’s up to Forrest to choose between his vengeance and saving the girl he can’t get off his mind.
Ok so their chemistry is off the charts, it actually makes me giddy little a little girl, I can barely stay in my seat. I love how straight forward Forrest is about wanting Keira right off the back. The she’s mine, touch her and die vibes are strong with him. Keira has the best intentions with the worst execution, she’s got the biggest heart and with that big trusting heart sometimes comes pain, but that’s a chance worth taking I believe.
I’ve enjoyed this series so far, I can’t wait to see the next book and I’m interested to see more come from a certain situation that ties all the male protagonist from this series, I feel like every book gets a bit more exciting and I’m so excited to see everything come to a head and to read about the next couple. I would definitely recommend this series, but I would highly recommend reading the first 3 books just to get a little insight into all the characters and how they interconnect and their own personal stories.

This was wildest ride a book ever took me on . There was a moment when I was like “MORE ? D@MN” lol truly dynamite in a small package . Honestly it fulfills a lot of my wishlist for a book lol undying devotion, razor sharp man softens for love, cute lil affectionate gestures, beautiful displays of love, the whole “mine” thing … I adored this love story. Kiera & Forrest are entirely sweet & adorable together. I do wish more of the things that happened , really HAPPENED … so as readers we could be involved & feel more connected to the story . Certain spots felt a bit detached & I wished for more . I really, really loved Hank & how things went for him ! Special recognition for being delightfully nerdy. & CHEERS to the beautifully brazen self glory throughout this book . It was entirely inspiring & I’m about to be makin my way through Finding Your HeART .

The Inquisitor is book 4 in the series and probably my favorite. I love the guys in the group who all have their over book in the series but this one….not sure why but this definitely was the best on my opinion. I love the chemistry between Forrest and Kiera. They are pretty much part of the same friend group. One night the chemistry is just too much and they end up having a one night stand that rocked both their worlds. When Forrest woke up, she was gone. No note, nothing! So they pretty much avoided eachother now they are face to face while away on business and they can’t overcome what’s between then. There’s definitely unfinished business. Forrest is definitely an alpha male and protects what is his. When something happens to Kiera Forrest doesn’t have any option but to get to bottom of everything. Such a great read!

From page one I was enthralled. Lynn has won the lottery but doesn’t want her husband, James, to know. She has cancer and isn’t telling anyone. She’s had a difficult burdensome past and is trying to get some answers, but anytime she asks clarifying questions, James gets upset. Lynn just wants answers for her past. James just wants to spend Lynn’s new wealth. There are twists, turns, and a whole lot of times you won’t want to put the book down.

Secrets At the Cafe by Susan Specht Oram proved to be a tense and engrossing mystery. It is also my favourite of all Ms. Specht Oram’s books so far. This story weaves a complex tale with plenty to keep you avidly reading. It’s a mystery, with a bit of a domestic suspense element, twists, drama, puzzling developments, a missing journal, an unexpected stash, discovery, rumours, buried secrets, colourful + quirky characters, surprises, family, tension, quirky characters, promises, and a small-town setting. I really enjoyed this book- I just wish the ending didn’t feel so rushed, as that did detract slightly from the rest of the story. Karina’s never expected her promise to her grandmother would lead her on a tense investigation- untangling long-buried secrets, and putting together a puzzle in order to get to the bottom of things turns into quite a journey of discovery. Things aren’t exactly as they seem. With a missing journal, a promise to fulfil, and secrets at every turn won’t make this an easy quest for Karina- but she’s determined to do right by her grandmother. And so the intrigue begins…. A well-woven, creative, and tense read by Ms. Specht Oram. Looking forward to seeing whatever she does next. Happy Reading…

Another great read by Susan Specht Oram! This one kept me very intrigued as the journal in question was discovered missing right from the start. It was up to Karina to figure out where the journal was and to save her inheritance.
A very riveting read that will have you guessing until the end! I love this author’s writing style and how she portrays the story. I highly recommend this read, as well as all of the author’s other works!

Fast paced story that is full of suspense, deep secrets and there is a suspect in every corner. I really love this authors book and this story is no exception.
Karina is back in Millersville, Oregon after making a promise to her dying grandmother to take over her beloved cafe. Not only did Gigi leave a cafe for Karina to take over but she also left a diary with secrets to reveal…but when the diary goes missing before Karina is able to read the diary…there is suspects at every turn. Who would take the diary..and is it for their own personal use?
I do not want to give any spoilers but this was a great read. I loved trying to figure out who the culprit would be in taking the diary…..and just when you think you have it figured out…… and the secrets!! Great read and highly recommended.

This was a great 5 star read. I was pulled in right from the beginning. I have really been enjoying this series. This is Kiera and Forrest’s story which is dual POV, which I enjoy so you can see what they are both thinking. Forrest is a successful doctor with a secret. Kiera is on a new job when she meets Forrest. There is an instant connection but with a scary twist she is thrust into danger. Will Forrest be able to help her?
All I can say is wow, what a story. We get so much that will put you on the edge of your seat. There are also some topics that may be triggers for some people. I really enjoy dark reads and this one definitely gave me that. You can read as a stand alone but I highly suggest reading all the books in the series. The author does a great job with her writing and I look forward to reading more from her and the series. 1-click and get started today on this great series.

The story of Kiera and Forrest made me cry at times. Between Kiera getting kidnapped and being sold, and Forrest rescuing her and trying to get his revenge, it was an emotional rollercoaster. I wanted to hug Kiera and tell her that it was going to be all okay. Forrest was extremely supportive , and understanding. They both understood each other so well. I loved this book the most because they didn’t fall instantly in love. It almost was slow burn but just a teensy bit faster. I loved that Keira was a photographer and she showed the world what she saw with models, and fashion. This entire series had me on the edge of my seat and wanting more.
