I was so excited when I found out that Grayson got his own book. I loved him in the previous books and wanted to see his POV. Grayson is innovative, ridiculously smart, and a brilliant architect. Natalie is a strong, independent woman who makes men quake at her feet. When her and Grayson clash, it’s like chaotic beautiful music. These two start out as enemies who can’t stand each other, but when things take a sudden turn, they suddenly realize the chemistry between them. I loved reading this book and seeing the others pop in and out. I can’t wait to read more!

This book about Remi and Audri was fantastic. I loved reading their story. Both of their backgrounds was heartbreaking. Each had something that was haunting them and that they deeply regretted. Remi I felt defiantly fell first for Audri. Their chemistry was explosive. Remi would do anything Audri asked him to do. The story was wonderfully written, and I loved the story plot. Meeting the supporting characters made me want to have their own books. Reading them talk about WaterFyre Rising, made me wish that the game a real. I definitely would’ve bought it and played it! Can’t wait to read book 2!

Meeting Royce in the first book with Remi and Audri was awesome. I was hoping that he would get his own book. Michelle is Audri’s best friend in book one. In book two she is on a trip when she meets Royce. They become fast friends, and they discover what they both have been missing when one takes the plunge. Royce meets Michelle’s monster head on and makes her felt loved. Michelle fills the void that he has in heart. But will their past’s come back and ruin everything they’ve worked so hard to forge? Nadia is an amazing story-teller and I have loved both books of hers so far! I can’t wait to read about the next friend!

Secrets at the Café: A Novel of Suspense about Family and Friendship by Susan Specht Oram – Review by Jennifer Crain

Secrets at the CafeSecrets at the Cafe by Susan Specht Oram
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

“Secrets at the Cafe” by Susan Specht Oram is a captivating mystery with an intriguing plot centered around a missing journal. The story follows the main character, Karina, as she sets out on a thrilling adventure to uncover the truth behind the journal’s disappearance.

From the very beginning, Oram grabs the reader’s attention with her vivid descriptions and well-developed characters. Karina is a relatable and determined protagonist who will stop at nothing to solve the mystery. Her journey takes her to different places and introduces her to a variety of fascinating individuals who may hold the key to solving the puzzle.

One of the standout aspects of this novel is Oram’s ability to create a rich and immersive atmosphere. The cafe itself is described in such detail that readers will feel as if they are sitting at one of the tables, sipping a hot cup of coffee. The author’s attention to detail enhances the mystery, making it even more engrossing.

Throughout the book, the pacing remains steady, keeping readers engaged as they try to piece together the clues alongside Karina. The plot twists and turns, keeping you guessing until the very end. Oram skillfully manages to maintain suspense and build tension, creating a sense of urgency that propels the story forward.

Additionally, Oram’s writing style is clear and concise, allowing the story to flow smoothly. The dialogue is realistic and adds depth to the characters, making them feel like real people. The author also does an excellent job of intertwining the present-day narrative with flashbacks and snippets from the missing journal, providing insight into the story’s secrets and adding layers of intrigue.

However, one slight drawback of the novel is the resolution felt somewhat rushed. After an intense buildup, the conclusion comes together quite swiftly, leaving readers craving more closure. While this doesn’t detract significantly from the overall enjoyment of the book, it could have been more satisfying with a slower-paced resolution.

In conclusion, “Secrets at the Cafe” is a captivating mystery with a well-crafted plot, unforgettable characters, and a beautifully depicted setting. Susan Specht Oram weaves a tale filled with secrets, twists, and turns that will keep readers guessing until the very end. Despite a slightly rushed conclusion, this novel is a gripping read that mystery enthusiasts will thoroughly enjoy.

A gripping novel about family and friendship which kept me hooked throughout. Having rushed to her dying grandmother’s bedside, Karina Walker agrees to move home and take over the old café. The grieving Karina also promises to read a journal but is shocked when the red book disappears. She teams up with her cousin to make a list of suspects, fearing that someone overheard her mention a hidden stash of money. Karina is determined to track down her inheritance but the town is full of rumours, and when she discovers a buried secret it could change things forever. Karina wants to build a new future for herself but must confront her family’s past first. This was a real page turner and I literally could not put the book down. The intriguing storyline and unpredictable plot twists kept me guessing until the last page, whilst the suspense definitely built chapter by chapter. I loved the main character Karina as she was a very independent and determined heroine. This was an entertaining and engaging read and one which I definitely recommend.

This book is a great psychological thriller that pulls you in from the moment you start reading. The book is intriguing to read and is full of twists and turns. It certainly kept you guessing and I really wasn’t sure how things would eventually play out.
This book is the first in the series and it is clearly setting up the rest of the series. Oh my, I loved this story. The author set it up so well. The journal disappeared right at the beginning. A cast of characters are suspect. Her cousin’s boyfriend is her ex=boyfriend. I literally couldn’t put this one down. I had to know what was coming next. I loved how this story kept you in suspense and had several mysteries going at once. This author is one of my favorites for her style of writing. She has an excellent way of setting up suspense novels.

Secrets at the Cafe is another interesting and engaging Women’s fiction suspense tale from Susan. What I like about her writing is the intriguing premises she comes up with each story.
The eclectic cast of characters are engaging, well developed and fully realised and it’s hard not to like them and become invested in them. Some of them did make me laugh. We meet up with characters from previous books.
With tensions running high Karina will stop at nothing to fulfill the deathbed promise she made to her grandmother. Now she just has to solve the mystery of who wants and why they took Gigi’s missing diary. What are they hiding? What will they do to hide these secrets?
I read it in one day the pages flying by as I was completely immersed in the story that is so easy to get lost in and having to know how it ended.
Once again Susans vivid narrative helps the story along as she cleverly weaves together a web of secrets in this mystery.
With secrets, family, rumours, upheaval, death, grief, suspects, drama, suspense and so much more there is something for everyone wo enjoys a good mystery.
Follow along in this heartfelt tale as Karina and troops unravels a world of secrets and mysteries that have been long buried in this tumultuous twisty journey.

Is Lynn going crazy with paranoia or are things going on around her since winning the lottery? This book got me reading and I couldn’t stop! This story gets quite graphic and has some intense moments. A twist that many won’t see coming (I did however). I did not like that it ended in total suspense and we won’t read the remainder until next year. But I’m thankful that I took a chance on it. I typically am nervous to read psychological thrillers 😊

Lottery of secrets was the first book that I have read by this author. Lottery of secret’s was a face paced suspense/ thriller read for me. Following Lynn and her husband Jimmys story was captivating to me i could not stop reading this book. I Feel for Lynn she is supposed to be living her life and enjoying it and instead she is kind of living in a nightmare. So many twists and the last 3 chapters were my favorite. Although we have to wait for book two to come out leaving us on cliff hangers it will be worth the wait. If you are a suspense reader or like thrillers i would consider reading this book you will not be disappointed. Thank you to this author for writing this wonderful book and i can not wait for more reads by you.

Fractured Hearts-Prospect (Grimm Wolves MC Book 7)Fractured Hearts-Prospect by D.M. Earl
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was my first venture into the world of the Grimm Wolves. Although I was clearly missing some history, it was easy to catch on to the characters and their places. Excellent story.

Celestina “Celee” is finally escaping her past with a plan. She has run away with a biker. This is going to work. Now if she can just find a way to stay ahead of those hunting her, she will be okay.

Frank or Dingo is that biker. They met online and he fell hard. Now that he has his Celee within his grasp, he is not letting go. He will do anything to protect her, even risk his patch. Frank is just a prospect with the Grimm Wolves. This could cost him everything. The Grimm Wolves have become his family, since his birth family was a nightmare.

As Frank and Celee grow closer, so does the threat to them and the club. To Celee’s surprise, the Grimm Wolves help protect her every step of the way. The biggest surprise is when her cousin, Shadow, comes to aid in the plan to keep her safe. When it all goes down, Celee and Frank discover strengths they didn’t know they had and realize that family is more than just biology.

This book does not disappoint from the beginning until the end. Action and excitement from the start. Another amazing story from this author.

This author never fails to deliver an absolutely astounding read! She is one of my favorites to keep on my watch list because I haven’t found a book of hers that I haven’t fallen in love with throughout many different series. This is the 7th book in the Grimm Wolves MC series and what an addition it turned out to be. I’m fully invested in the emotionally tormented characters as well as the suspenseful rollercoaster of a storyline. I was on the edge of my seat throughout this entire book as it was incredibly intense and heart-wrenching. I was torn between reading as quickly as possible and trying to slow down to really absorb every beautiful detail that was intricately woven into this series. Dingo and Celee just have this way about them, and their chemistry is palpable. They truly evolve right before your eyes and it’s as if nothing else exists. If you love a captivating MC romance with plenty of action, drama, and suspense, don’t pass this book/series up or you’ll regret it! I can’t wait to see what this author has in store for us next because I am READY!

Each and every book of the WaterFyre Rising Books has been absolutely phenomenal and this book definitely fits the mold. This is a second chance romance that is wonderfully well written. This book focuses on Kiera and Forrest and has a major focus on what happens when one is faced with having to choose between getting revenge and saving someone. This added a very interesting element to the plot that made it impossible for me to put down. I loved watching Kiera and Forrest together and seeing them navigate their complicated situation. Both characters were well developed and believable. I definitely found myself really rooting for them both. I definitely recommend picking this one and the rest of the series!

Another great read from an exceptional author. This is the seventh book in this series and should be read in order so you have a better understanding of the characters and backstory of what’s going on. This story is full of danger, drama, action, deceit, love, forgiveness, family, and more. There are some subjects that could be triggering for some readers so be aware of that before reading. This author never disappoints, her stories are always engaging and every book I have read by her is always hard to put down because I get so engrossed in them.
Both of the main characters have a rough past that’s hard to let go of. Celee is on the run trying to stay alive and Frank is trying to protect her. The chemistry between these two is undeniable. I found myself rooting for them and hoping they find the love that they both deserve. This book is told from different pov’s and it made the story that much more interesting. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. I highly recommend it.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Fractured Hearts is the seventh book in the Grimm Wolves MC Series. If you have not yet read the first books in this series, I highly recommend that you do. Not only is the series amazing, but each book continues from the one prior and the characters overlap from book to book. This book has action, suspense, mystery, drama, romance, humor, passion, romance, bikers, villains, and intrigue. The story centers around the characters of Celee and Dingo who met by chance on a dating app. Dingo is a prospect of the Grimm Wolves MC’s and trying to prove himself to them. He is smart, funny, sexy, strong, and willing to do anything to protect those he cares about. Celee is smart, courageous, sweet, and fun loving. Both characters come from dark and painful pasts that help them to better understand one another and brings them closer. When they meet the chemistry and passion between Dingo and Celee is undeniable and off the charts. The story grabbed my attention from the first few pages as Dingo and Celee are being pursued by some heinous villains who are after Celee and Dingo is determined to protect her at all costs. A high-speed car chase, gunshots, a car wreck, and a new furry companion for the duo happens within the first few pages. From there the tension is palpable as the twists and turns kept me captivated until the final pages. I loved how the characters from previous books came into play and how they all banded together to protect Celee. This was another great book by this talented author! I highly recommend this book, and this series!

He has the whole vendetta going on then he gets involved with Kiera and maybe that vendetta is not as important as it once was. The many changes he goes through during this action packed story are wonderful. That epilogue was perfect and actually even before that (maybe the previous chapter) so sweet! Fractured Hearts-Prospect (Grimm Wolves MC Book 7) by D.M. Earl. I love this series and while this book can be read as a standalone I highly recommend reading them in order to better enjoy it. Each book I read I say its my new favorite and this one is no different. It’s Celestia or Celee’s and Dingo’s story. Dingo is sexy as all get out and I fell in love with him during this book. He is a prospect for the MC Grimm Wolves and works his butt off for them. Dingo is very reliable and when his club is tasked with keeping Celee safe he promises to do it with everything he is. Meeting Celee thru a chat room is not typical but when he finds out she needs help he knows his club is up to task. Celee is on the run from her father of all people and he has dangerous people everywhere. She is scared but somehow feels safe with Dingo. Dingo and Celee are broken people but have worked hard to get past their heartaches. Will they be able to take a chance on love and will Celee even survive her father to find out. I loved this fast paced MC romance.

This was a good book. I enjoy books by this author and this one was no different. I thought the characters were well developed and that the plot moved along. Also, I enjoyed dual POV in this genre to get both perspectives.
