The Inquisitor (WaterFyre Rising, #4)The Inquisitor by Nadia Han
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Oh, this is just as good as the others in the series have been. An intense and dark at times story, there are topics that are hard to read about in here. Our two main characters are somehow made for each other yet shouldn’t be together. The challenge is that they won’t let that stop them. The story is fantastic. It is nonstop action. It is dark, romantic, troubled and yet, there is light at the end of the tunnel. The characters are very well-developed. Grandma Moreno is the one that sticks out to me. She has persevered through much and is like the matriarch of the bunch. I look forward to what is next in the series.

Lottery of Secreta by Nadija Mujagic – Review by Samantha Cleaver

Phew what can I say about this book! It had me in a chokehold the entire time.

TW: domestic abuse, drug use, mention of miscarriage/infant loss

Nadija did an amazing job on this book. She takes us through Lynn’s horrific life. The book starts with Lynn winning a rather large sum of money through the lottery – a life changing event for someone who was barely financially surviving. She is slowly dying of cancer and trying to survive the daily abuse she endures. Follow her while she makes some life changing decisions, trying to find herself and make herself a new life after her winnings. While learning more about her husband and herself, Lynn faces the common trauma effects that one has after going through years of abuse and getting thenselves out. Definitely worth the read!

4.5 stars
Beware: This book contains sexual content, profanity, violence, mentions of suicide, and eating disorder. Recommended for 18+.
I have been waiting patiently to read this book. The Inquisitor is just as fantastic as the other books and dare I say my favourite. Although I am pretty sure I thought that about the others in the WaterFyre Rising series.
In this the fourth book we get Kiera’s and Forrest’s story. They are fully realised with a complexity to them. It is told in dual POVs which I love as I love getting the inside thoughts of the characters instead of it being one sided.
This second chance romance is over 400 pages but that soon flies by as you become lost in Nadia’s narrative because it has a little of everything. The suspense, intrigue and mystery are intricately and cleverly woven together by Nadia to give the reader an intense read.
The engaging plot had me engrossed and eagerly turning the pages waiting to see how it all unfolds. The story is full of human trafficking, danger and deadly secrets, lies and drama, tragedy, angst and let’s not forget the steamy romance.

Forrest is living a life that has kept him in the dark side of life. He knows he shouldn’t, but she is his light, but she is off limits.
I look forward to seeing what Nadia gives us next.

Lottery of SecretsLottery of Secrets by Nadija Mujagic
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is book one in the Lottery series. Mujagic did a wonderful job in crafting the scenery in the novel. Who wouldn’t want to win millions on the lottery? It could be the ticket to freedom. I could see the setting in my mind’s eye as I read the story. The characters are well crafted and draw you into the plot. The stakes increase and leave you questioning the safety of all involved. I’ve read other books by this author and this one doesn’t disappoint. There are plenty of twists and turns among the way and the end was not what I thought! Highly recommend thriller!

Fractured Hearts-Prospect (Grimm Wolves MC Book 7) by D.M. Earl – Review by Maria Colon

Fractured Hearts-Prospect (Grimm Wolves MC Book 7)Fractured Hearts-Prospect by D.M. Earl
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I was intrigued to read a motorcycle club book about a prospect.

I was under the impression this was could be read as a standalone…but there are multiple chapters told from the point of view from characters from what I am guessing are previous books. This was a bit of a negative takeaway for me.

There also was one piece of of what I guess I would consider black magic…and I am not completely sure because I don’t know that character’s story.

Dingo and Celestine have their own unique story that is original. I just feel like it is being told from too many point of views.

Or maybe I should have read all of the previous books prior to going into their story.

I’m not saying I won’t read this author again…I would just read series in order.

Beautiful Dangerous (Philly Heat Series Book 4) by Becky Flade – Review by Rebeca Elliott Figueiras

Beautiful Dangerous (Philly Heat series, #4)Beautiful Dangerous by Becky Flade
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the fourth book in the Philly Heat series, focussing on Hannah and Doyle. I really do enjoy how different each story is in the series, it keeps the series engaging and fresh.
I liked how this one was written. I enjoyed the others too, but it was the way the stalker was written and revealed which makes this one stand out to me. The twist was very well written.
Both Hannah and Doyle have faced their share of trauma and Hannah’s stalker situation is still ongoing, worsening even. This shapes their views, actions and development well as the story progresses. As characters they were both likable and relatable, and I couldn’t help but root for a happily ever after for the pair. Given everything that happens both prior to and during the story just go to show how strong these characters are and determined to reach the other end of this awful situation.
My heart really went out to Hannah given everything she’d been through already with her brother’s murder, to experience a stalker who only worsens must be so distressing and difficult. I really admired her strength.
Unfortunately, I’ll all caught up with the series now even though I desperately want more. I can’t wait for another to be released so I can get my hands on it. In the meantime, I will be looking out for more from the author.

Beautiful Dangerous: Philly Heat Series by Becky Flade- 5 out of 5 stars

This book grabbed my attention and held it until the last page. The fourth book in this series and all of the books can be read as stand alones or in order. Hannah and Doyle do not necessarily like eachother mainly because of her occupation and him being a cop. When Doyle becomes her bodyguard to protect her from her crazy stalker, they have the opportunity to get to know eachother better, building a bond, and it drove her crazy stalker absolutely mad. This was a great book full of so many ups and downs, I loved it.

Yesterday’s Over (Philly Heat Series Book 3) by Becky Flade – Review by Rebeca Elliott Figueiras

Yesterday's Over (Philly Heat series, #3)Yesterday’s Over by Becky Flade
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the third book in the Philly Heat series, focusing on Ben and Trudy. I enjoyed the move from focusing on police officers to medical examiners/anthropologists, it was a refreshing addition to the series as the investigation elements are still there.
Trudy and Ben are great characters, my favourite of the two being Trudy. She’s strong and determined to get to the bottom of the mystery behind the bones which have been uncovered. She’s willing to take the risk to ensure the truth is uncovered and I admire that about her. I do like Ben; he grew on me as the story progressed and I got to know him better. I could start to see why he was acting in the way he was and admired his want to protect Trudy.
This was another engaging read in the series and I can’t believe I’m almost caught up already. I can’t wait for more!

Fractured Hearts-Prospect (Grimm Wolves MC Book 7)Fractured Hearts-Prospect by D.M. Earl
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book was a great read. Wonderful characters and a storyline that keeps you engaged and wanting to read more.

This book follows the story of Dingo (prospect) and Celee. Dingo is a prospect and is working towards becoming a full member of the Grimm Wolves MC. He enjoys making people laugh but he has been through more than most know. Celee was in the midst of an ugly situation when by chance she met Dingo in an online chat room.

Celee comes from a family with a nasty history and with a dark past. She is trying to avoid the many enemies that he father made before his death but that’s hard to do with next to no connections. Dingo decides to try to help her even though he is already hurting.

What happens when the enemies of the past come back? Is blood truly thicker than water or is that just an old saying? What does it mean to be an ole lady? Can someone fall for someone when they are hurting? Will helping Celee be Dingo’s downfall?

Read this book to find out.

Lottery of Secrets (Lottery Series Book #1) by Nadija Mujagic – Review by Angela Hayes

Lottery of SecretsLottery of Secrets by Nadija Mujagic
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

3 Stars

Lottery of Secrets by Nadija Mujagic is the first book in an intriguing new series. I am always up for a good thriller, so I happily jumped right in.
Imagine winning BIG in the lottery, but then find that instead of enjoying ‘the good life’, your world crumbles into a dangerous, paranoid mess. Well, that’s exactly what happen to Lynn- and we follow along in a race against time to unravel everything before it’s too late.
This is a psychological suspense, with drama, mystery, twisty details, paranoia, secrets, danger, and more. I did find the story intriguing, and as the first book in a series, I can see the potential yet to come. For most part it was an engrossing read. But I didn’t find it as psychologically twisty as I had anticipated. I really wanted to be on the edge of my seat, clamouring to find out what happens next- but that wasn’t the case here. It was definitely intriguing, and had some gripping, twisted moments- but I felt the story was much slower, a little more frustrating, and more predictable than I had expected.
There were some unexpected developments which kept me turning the pages to find out how it all played out- and I am interested to see what happens in the rest of the series as there are still some questions that need answering.
Happy Reading…

Thank you, Nadija Mujagic!

A story that keeps me on my toes will always be a hit in my opinion. This one is just as amazing as the rest of the series. I’ve come to expect to be completely sucked into the world that Becky Flade gives readers, and that’s exactly what I got this time. Trudy and Benjamin so easily bring you into their world and it’s not long before you are one the edge of your seat just reading as fast as possible to see what happens next. This author knows romantic suspense and I truly can’t wait for more. I love the suspense and edge of the seat feeling. Beautiful Dangerous: Philly Heat Series, #4

The suspense happens close to the beginning and doesn’t let up. Hannah and Doyle meet under less than perfect circumstances and it causes them to be thrown together quite a bit while he protects her.

My heart hurt for Hannah, she loses her brother than the stalker steps things up and it completely upends her world. The fear and terror she must have felt while it was happening isn’t something I would ever want to feel.

Doyle is a good guy who deals with bad guys pretty regularly, he latest case drained happiness and life from him.

There was one scene early on that had me double checking things were shut and locked. Felt like I was part of it and could understand her fears.

I have been keeping up with this series and there is always a little something that surprises me which I love.

Yesterday’s Over by Becky Flade is the third book in the Philly Heat series, which I have really enjoyed thus far. This storyline really drew me in as all the others have because the subject matter is really up my alley. As someone who is a fan of all the Law and Orders, and Bones, I really like how this series includes cops, medical examiners, and detectives, an anthropologist, and even a supposed bad guy. In Yesterday’s Over Trudy and Ben are a made for each other pair, they are relatable, and much liked just like the other couples in the series. The tension and suspense is great. All of the books in this series are stand alone stories but some of the characters do cross over into the other books. Overall this is a clean, fast paced, well written, romantic suspense that I enjoyed.

Beautiful Dangerous is another addition to the Philly Heat Series, it’s Book number 4. It’s a romantic suspense novel between a public defender, Hannah, and a cop, Doyle. One thing I really appreciated was that Beautiful Dangerous was told through dual point of views so we got to hear from Hannah and Doyle which I really like. Becky Flade did an amazing job of making these characters feel real and the story felt realistic, and their chemistry was off the charts which is why the suspense, and genuine feelings, were immediate when they were forced to be together so Doyle could protect her from her stalker. It definitely kept me on the edge of my seat. If romantic suspense is your jam Beautiful Dangerous is one of the greats.

This was a fantastic, yet haunting book about a car accident that definitely left many people wondering what happened. Tang is a writer, who is suffering from writer’s block, who is also seemingly keeping secrets from those around him. Most specifically, his girlfriend Layla. As the book progresses the more one is left wondering how Tang is connected to Dee and if those connections are involved in the secrets Tang is keeping from Layla.
This book really is a romantic suspense. It is fast paced and I definitely did not want to put it down. I was left engaged from the beginning of the story and was left wanting more as each and every page passed. I also loved how the further you read the more question you (well at least I did) about what actually happened in that car accident. The author knows how to craft a fantastic plot that is filled with twists and turns. I definitely recommend this one!

Hannah Patel is living life in the shadows after he brother died, he was he rock and soul mate and now with him gone she is existing, until she discovers she has a stalker. At first it was notes and gifts but over the past few month’s it has become threatening and scary after the last note.

While in court defending her client she is assaulted by said client and is whisked into the judges chamber where she meets Lexi Danvers, a court investigator who happens to spot one of the stalkers letters. Lexi then says she will ask one of her colleagues to investigate of the books and help Hannah get to the bottom of who the stalker might be.

Detective Doyle Murphy has been asked for a favour while he is on leave from the special victim’s unit, but when he meets Hannah he is drawn in and is determined to protect her and find the culprit who is now steadily escalating there actions towards her, but when her dog walker if found dead in her house it becomes serious and needs putting a stop to.

This like the other books is a fast paced brilliantly written thriller, with well developed characters and a great storyline. There are some crossover with characters from previous books but that is more to do with friendships and relationships than the story itself, so this can be read as a stand alone book. Although I would highly recommend reading the other stories.

The character of Hannah like all of the authors main female characters is a strong, determined woman who want s to fight and survive rather than shy away and become a weak, shaking female like many stories portray and although Doyle’s character is a dominate Alpha male the author shows his more venerable side with his metal health and inner demons.

This story like the other is thrilling and draws you into the fast paced writing, and had me guessing for most of the book regarding the bad person. I hope you carry on with this series and can’t wait to read more in the future.

4.5 stars
Lottery of Secrets is fast paced dark tale full of deceit, betrayal, violence, drama, dark lies and secrets and so much more. It is as intriguing as it is intense, and the tension and suspense is palpable and have you questioning everything.
Nadija has done a good job of bringing together carefully woven threads that makes this a heart pounding psychological thriller. She cleverly guides the reader through a barrage of twists and turns that keep you on the edge right to the end as you try to work out what is going on.
Lynn is supposed to be living the dream but instead she is struggling and living a nightmare and no longer knows who to trust. She finds herself ensnared in a game of cat and mouse. She no longer knows what is real and what is not. Her a’hole of a Husband thinks he’s going to get her money. A stalker is obsessed with her, and she is fighting for her life in more than one way.
I wasn’t sure about the characters in the beginning. I wanted to shake some sense into the woman, and I wanted to snot the Husband, but I guess that is a sign of good writing to bring out so much emotion in the reader and the intrigue was enough to keep me glued to the pages. OMG by the time I got to the end; well, what can I say!
Fear, jealousy, paranoia, angst, anguish are just some of the things the author throws our way whilst following Lynn on her dark and twist path. There are some sensitive topics in this story, but it comes together nicely.
I am now eagerly awaiting the next book. Bring it on!

This series just keeps getting better and better with each new book. Im a huge fan of this author and my favorite genre is MC and this one checked all the boxes, it’s a bit dark and intense at times but at other times a much lighter feel. Sometimes we don’t know what/who we need till they’re right in front of us. This is a story about second chances and forgiveness. The characters are simply amazing and are developed, yet have a raw intensity at times. I was so invested in the characters and story I literally read this in one afternoon. I had to know what was going to happen next. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I also highly recommend reading the previous books if you haven’t already started them. This series is one that is worth the read. I’m looking forward to reading more from this Author.

Although it was a bit slower at the beginning, it picked up quick about 25% through and I couldn’t put it down. I fell in love with Ross and Hadley’s characters right away. And enjoyed watching their dynamics/relationship progress throughout. I have yet to read the first 3 in this central Florida stories series but now plan to. (They can be read as standalone’s). Also, really loved that it wasn’t just “kink” but they did some education on subjects and explained things quite nicely and respectfully.

Definitely intended for more mature audiences(read the trigger warnings).

Wow, this story is fantastic. Celestina and Dingo aka Frank and the chemistry they have and the story they bring…wow. Fractured Hearts is book 7 of the Grimm Wolves MC and this book and series is fantastic. The author really grabs you from beginning to end and I loved that no only we get to be part of the Grimm Wolves expanding family but also having Devils Handmaidens included is just a great bonus.

Dingo aka Frank is prospect for the Grimm Wolves and wants to be part of this family. Dingo hides behind pain and puts up a facade of being fun, but also puts himself down. When he goes to meet a woman online, Celestina, their attraction is second to none. Dingo wants to protect Celestina at all costs but has to know the truth…what is Celestina running from and why….

Celestina is on the run, trying to protect herself from her crazy and cruel family. Meeting Dingo aka Frank may be her ticket to freedom, but her attraction toward him comes with a guarded heart. As Celestina gives pieces of her past that the Grimm Wolves are aware of, no only do they do their thing of protecting her but their entire Grimm Wolves family as well. Will Dingo and Celestina come together even with dark pasts?

This story is dark and gritty but also about revenge, evil, family and forgiveness..I cannot wait to see what is next by D.M. Earl!!!
