Sweet Dreams by Claire (Capture the Light, #2)Sweet Dreams by Claire by Nanette Littlestone
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Tradition rules the bakery where Claire has basically grown up. Set in Claremore, Ireland, Claire wants nothing more than to bake to her hearts content. She longs to own her own bakery where she can create the items that she loves most. Her life is safe and mostly content until Finn steps in the picture. He does his best to get Claire out of her comfort zone and into his arms.

This was a fun read that made me smile!! I could almost smell the goodies that Claire was making at times and her earrings were a sweet little addition to her culinary skills!

This is great second book in the Capture the Light Series. It is the first book I have read and I really enjoyed it. In fact I plan on going back and reading the first book in the series as I really enjoyed the author writing and story telling.

This is a sweet romance but with elements of family drama, as well as a journey of discovery for our main character Claire.
She is such a likeable character. She loves her job in the family bakery and she really wants to branch out on her own but the thing holding her back is her mother and family commitment.
So she stays working hard at the family business.
Until a wedding changes her outlook on life. At the wedding she meets the brides brother Flynn. With their attraction being instant Flynn encourages Claire to take a chance. Flynn will only be around for a week so could she live adventurous and take the opportunity for a little adventure of her own? However things arent going to be so simple as just throwing caution to the wind and taking a risk. With secrets that are threatening to be revealed Claire could be risking it all.

This book is definately a journey of self discovery as she learns more about herself, what she really wants to do with her life and she discovers just how amazing love can be.

I was completely invested in Claire and Flynn’s story. The author sets it in a beautiful landscape of Ireland which made it even more of a romantic and magical feel. I really can’t wait to read more from this series and this author

This was my first read by this author, and I truly wasn’t disappointed. I loved the characters, and the sweet story. The way they fell in love was slow, sweet and real. I love that the story took place in Ireland. I can’t wait to read more by this author. Her ability to make you feel like you are in the story with them was amazing.

Sweet Dreams By Claire is the second book in the Capture the Light series by Nanette Littlestone. This is the first book that I have read by this author, so I really wasn’t sure of what to expect from her writing- but do I love a sweet romance, and this promised to deliver that- so I one-clicked a copy and set off to explore.
This is a touching romance with magical realism, a little drama, family dynamics, baking, intriguing characters, emotion, a small-town setting, a mysterious antique brooch, feelgood moments, tender touches, sweet developments, and delightful details – which is all set against the picturesque backdrop of the Emerald Isle.
I loved meeting Claire and following along on her journey of discovery- self-discovery, discovering love, and more. Finn is such a great character- he’s arrived for his sister’s wedding, and the connection between him and Claire made the story quite romantic. They do have their challenges though- which the author cleverly wove into the story- adding a touch of drama and adding even more interest.
I will definitely be going back to read Book #1 (For the Love of Brigid) and finding out what happened there (it’s Brigid’s wedding in this book that brings Claire and Finn together) before continuing with the rest of this series.
Happy Reading…

Thank you, Nanette Littlestone!

This is book 2 in the series but is an awesome standalone. This was a quick read for me and it’s a sweet romance. The relationship between the two characters is a very sweet relationship. The added touch of the bakery added another level of coziness to the storyline!

Sweet Dreams by Claire (Capture the Light, #2)Sweet Dreams by Claire by Nanette Littlestone
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was an enjoyable, sweet Irish romance which kept me happily turning the pages. The author whisks us away to the small town of Claremore in Ireland, where the residents of the town are friendly, if slightly nosy, and the town has a magical feel to it. Claire Francis works in her family’s bakery, but she now longs to open her own shop and make her dreams come true. However, her mother is not ready to retire, and won’t let Claire explore her creative side as she’s very traditional. Claire has other things to deal with when she gets embroiled in pre-wedding dramas, ahead of Brigid Cleary’s wedding. However, its Brigid’s brother Finn who is on her mind, as he gets her to question her safe and uneventful life and pushes her to take a chance on the attraction they feel for each other. Unfortunately, he is only in town for the wedding and spends the rest of his time on the water, which Claire is terrified of. As the couple grow closer Claire has a secret from her past which she can’t escape. Just as she fears she will never have both love and success a magical gift helps her to unlock the path to her dreams. This was a lovely, heartwarming romance with an opposites attract theme which had me engaged throughout. I loved the main characters, both Claire and Finn are likeable and relatable, and their chemistry came across in the story. The setting was brought vividly to life through the descriptive narrative and I loved the storyline with its touch of magic. It definitely had the feel-good factor and I look forward to returning to Claremore soon!

Sweet Dreams is an enchanting tale that takes us to the mysterious and magical Emerald Isle. Just reading the story transported me back to my wonderful holiday many years ago. I really enjoyed the writing style the attention to detail Nanette put in because I could feel, smell and taste it all as though I was standing right there.
This love story is engaging, and I loved the sense of humour in the writing it has all the makings of a good Hall Mark movie.
The characters really are charming the character development is spot on. We get to catch up with characters from previous books to.
This feel-good story has dramatic turns, pre-wedding dilemmas, ancient legends, secrets, magical gifts, dreams, hopes, wants and unexpected love. What more could you hope for, and Nanette has delivered.
It was a quick read but an enjoyable read. I only wish it was a little longer.
To find out what happens grab it today and discover what makes it such a magical tale.

What a darling romance. I loved watching the relationship develop between Claire and Finn, especially when it began after he knocked her down while riding his bike. This was a sweet story that had such beautiful descriptions of Ireland. The author certainly added beautiful touches to the story. I loved how the earrings added a magical touch of bakery smells to Claire’s senses as she went through her days. It added a delightful and delicious touch to the tale. Such fun characters and an entertaining story make for a tale that you just can’t pass up.

Falling for You (Buckeye Falls Book 2) by Libby Kay – Review by Betsy Melano

Falling for You (Buckeye Falls, #2)Falling for You by Libby Kay
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

CeCe came to Buckeye Falls after a bad breakup with her ex boyfriend. She loves cooking, especially making new dishes from time to time when she’s in a good or even a bad mood. She quickly became a part of the diner crew when she stumbled into Buckeye Falls.

Evan is a 25 year old working out what he wants to do with life. He is respectful, optimistic, and patient. You can tell he really cares for CeCe giving her the space to figure out if they might have a connection more than friends.

I really enjoy this small town series! The setting, the people, the community connection that we only find in those special places.

Natalie and Anthony seem to have it all, but what the townsfolk don’t realize is that these two are struggling. Anthony is stressed because he’s the mayor. Natalie is juggling kids and starting up a new business. These two have lost their connection a bit, hidden behind closed doors where no one can see. How can they bring back their connection? Will they find that spark again that brought them together when they were younger and full of promises and expectations?

Falling Again (Buckeye Falls #3)Falling Again by Libby Kay
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the third book in the Buckeye Falls series. The books in this series can be read out of order as they are able to be read as standalones.
This is an easy read, written in a way that is engaging and flows well. The characters are also well-written and likeable. I found the premise of the story unique and entertaining, rather than a brand-new romance, it’s about trying to save the love they have for each other. This makes their story relatable to many as people often try to reignite the spark and come back together as a couple when life gets in the way.
I truly felt for Natalie and Anthony, they clearly loved each other and finding their way back to themselves and each other is not an easy task at all. I was invested in them for the beginning and was desperately hoping they’d put the work in and not give up.

The emotional journey of the characters really appealed to me in this one. It was realistic and the emotions were there. I’m really enjoying this author’s work.

This is the second book in the Buckeye Falls series. This can be read as a standalone and or out of order of the series.
Once again, the author has written this book so that it flows nicely making for an easy read. The characters are well written and are memorable and feel real. I enjoyed both the characters of Cece and Evan, they were lovely characters who came together well.
Cece’s past and possible future collide in an unexpected way causing a setback for the pair and there were points I wanted to launch the book across the room in frustration. But as much as I wanted to knock sense into people, I couldn’t help but get emotionally invested and hope for the best outcome.
This was an enjoyable romance which has left me wanting more.

Falling Again (Buckeye Falls Book 3) by Libby Kay is a great romance

Mayor Anthony Snyder and his wife Natalie appear to have it all from the outside. Cute kids, a beautiful house, and an endless supply of free food from the neighborhood cafe. But these two find it difficult to stay in touch behind closed doors. On the home front, the shine they once displayed in Buckeye Falls has somewhat faded.Things in the Snyder home become chaotic throughout the past ten years. Anthony followed in his father’s footsteps and was elected to office. Regretfully, he is frequently reminded that these are significant shoes to fill. It takes a lot of time to be the best mayor, time he doesn’t get to spend with his family.Although it never seems to be in the cards, Natalie yearns for meaningful time with the guy she loves.

Every page had you hanging on every sentence and I couldn’t wait to see what would happen. It is a very unique story with even compelling people. The story really transports you into this world. I couldn’t put the book down.I can’t wait to read more from this series.

CeCe LaRue is clear about what she wants—control—both in life and in the kitchen. She has no time for diversion, whether it is from the past or the present. However, it doesn’t mean she hasn’t fallen in love with a particular bright-eyed coworker.Being a chronic optimist, Evan Lawson approaches everything with a positive attitude, even his work at the cafe. Falling for You (Buckeye Falls Book 2) by Libby Kay – Review by Nicole Thompson

Falling for You: A Buckeye Falls Novel is a delightful addition to the Buckeye Falls book series by the talented Libby Kay. Once again, Kay skillfully transports readers to the enchanting world of this charming small town. This time, we follow the endearing journey of CeCe and Evan, a pair with undeniable chemistry. CeCe, having left her troublesome ex-boyfriend, is on a path to self-discovery, while Evan, her younger co-worker at the local diner, is striving to prove himself in the world. The attraction between them is palpable, but Evan’s patience and respect for CeCe’s healing process add depth to their connection.

As a devoted fan of this series, I was eagerly awaiting this installment, and it did not disappoint. The sweet and adorable plot, combined with Kay’s talent for crafting relatable characters, made this story a heartwarming experience. The age gap between CeCe and Evan is explored with grace and authenticity, creating a genuine and heartfelt narrative. The small-town setting and the tight-knit community of Buckeye Falls add to the book’s charm, making you fall for the entire town. Kay’s storytelling captures the essence of real-life relationships, and the satisfying resolution for certain characters is a well-deserved triumph. “Falling for You” is a fun and engaging read that seamlessly blends romance, community, and personal growth. I can’t help but hope for a third book, perhaps featuring Natalie, to further explore the magic of Buckeye Falls.

Falling Again (Buckeye Falls Book 3) by Libby Kay – Review by Nicole Thompson

I’m absolutely thrilled to be diving into the enchanting world of Buckeye Falls once again with “Falling Again: A Buckeye Falls Novel” by the incredibly talented Libby Kay. One of the things I appreciate most about this series is that each book can be enjoyed as a standalone, making it accessible for all readers. In this third installment, I was utterly captivated by the endearing characters of Natalie and Anthony. This story, in particular, tugged at my heartstrings and evoked a rollercoaster of emotions. I laughed, I shed a few tears, and I couldn’t bear to part with their story. Kay’s portrayal of small-town life adds a delightful charm to the narrative, and the various characters passing through Buckeye Falls only enhance the experience.

What makes “Falling Again” truly exceptional is its depiction of a heartwarming second-chance romance. The connection between Anthony and Natalie lingers in my thoughts, and I can’t help but feel that their story will stay with me for quite some time. Libby Kay’s storytelling is a breath of fresh air, and I’m eagerly looking forward to more of her work. Her ability to craft a real and relatable portrayal of marriage is a rare find, offering readers a truly unique and engaging reading experience. I wholeheartedly recommend “Falling Again” to anyone seeking a captivating and emotionally charged narrative that leaves a lasting impression. Kudos to the author for creating a story that both celebrates the complexities of real-life relationships and offers a welcome escape into the world of Buckeye Falls.

He is trying to find his own way in the world. These two are attracted to each other but Max is trying to give CeCe time. I really enjoyed this story. This Time Around Audiobook by Jane Suen – Review by Charlisa Wahtomy-Alba

Katie and Chase were high school sweethearts and seemed destined to be together forever. However, after graduating high school they ended up splitting up, and Katie went to the big city to follow her dreams. Chase did eventually leave himself, but went back to be closer to his brother. When his brother and sister-in-law tragically perished in an accident he became the guardian of his nephew. Now a decade has passed by and Chase’s cousin is getting married. He and Katie are about to be thrown together by his match making cousin and the results could either be disaterous, or turn into a reconciliation. The lead characters in this book were very likeable, and the narrators did an amazing job bringing them to life. I do wish the story had been a bit longer, but I was very happy with how everything turned out for Chase and Katie. This was definitely worth the listen.

Omg how adorable!! Such a great story! It’s not a long book, but that’s what makes it perfect. It’s like a movie. Romance in a little town with an adorable family setting, and the perfect little kid to round out the story. Read this book if you like happily ever afters, kindness, joy, and small towns.

This Time Around Audiobook by Jane Suen – Review by Anastasia Dodson

This was a quick read and i enjoyed it. It was a aweet clean romance that i spend my afternoon listening to. The narrators are great! They worked well together and i enjoyed the alternating povs. Chase and Kate were high school sweethearts and things between them didn’t end on the best of terms. Years after they parted ways they’re pushed together as each others plus ones at a friends wedding. Even though its been years, there is still tension and hurt feelings between them but when they start to look closer, that also realise there is still love there too. I enjoyed this book even though it was a clean(er) romance than i normally read. I thought the author did a great job with this story and the narrators did an great job bringing this story to life. I will be listening to more by this author in the future!
Happy Listening!

This Time Around Audiobook by Jane Suen – Review by Laura Jones

I enjoyed listening to this book and found it a more wholesome and refreshing story line. I liked the fact that it didn’t have an in depth sex scene as those make me uncomfortable. But I do enjoy a good love story and this one was one I could picture being the next Hallmark movie. I found the characters to be endearing and loved how important family was to the main characters. One of the best parts was when Katie finally realized what was most important to her and she stood up for herself against her BFH. Well written, and quite enjoyable!

This Time Around Audiobook by Jane Suen – Review by Nina Maes

This is a very sweet short story. Great character, very engaging to the end. Very touching and relatable, I listen on a plane ride as I traveled, and it was great. I recommend this to someone who has a flight or a long drive, easy to listen to and follow along. I really enjoyed this author and will read or listen to more of her work.

This Time Around Audiobook by Jane Suen – Review by Bobbi Wagner

This is an author that I have enjoyed reading and listening to from the first book. I enjoy how the narrator uses different tones of voice to change characters.  I also enjoyed how they made the book come to life.  I found this to be an engaging story that is shorter but packs a punch. A story where two people have great chemistry but life gets in the way. Will these two figure out things and be able to have a life together? Katie and Chase’s chemistry and growth is off the charts and you don’t want to miss their story.  I really enjoyed listening to this story and I highly recommend it.

This Time Around Audiobook by Jane Suen – Review by Cindy Mayberry

Everybody needs a second Chance, even Katie and Chase. This is their story. Katie’s hard working and enjoys her job. But with her friend getting married, she journeyed home. It was great to see her mom and sister, even though it was a short visit she planned to make the best of it. Chase lost his brother in an accident, and was left with raising his nephew. His whole world was his love for his nephew, and was raising him to be the best he could be. After being set up for the wedding of their friend, they both found themselves forced to be together. Were they really hating it? Can Chase and Katie work through the hurt they both suffered? I admire this author! This story is all about her second Chance romance and is fun and enjoyable to listen too.  Her books are always filled with unforgettable sweet romance. This is just the beginning of her newest series and I am looking forward to seeing what comes next.

This book is one of my favorite listens of the year. I have read and listened to many of this authors books. It is always a treat. This story is short enough to listen in one setting and it kept me entertained while I was flying home.
The narrators Devon Grace and Troy Duran are new to me. I look forward to more from them. They really brought the characters to life.
