I LOVED this book so much! I have read lots form this author and I love how versatile she is but I have to say I think that this is definitely my favourite form her so far. I fell in love with the characters straight away. Katie was just an amazing character, I loved her so much, she was relatable, I connected with her – she was just a genuinely lovely person to read about and then add in Chase! Perfection the two of them! The way he stepped up and took in his nephew and the relationship that they had was wonderful. I loved every minute of this story and would highly recommend it to others! The narration for the story was wonderful, they both really brought the story to life.

This is a wonderful sweet second chance small town romance that I loved every minute listening to.

Chase and Katie were high school sweethearts years ago and now when a friend is getting married … Chase and Katie are paired up as each others plus one. Chase is still bitter how things ended and Katie has regrets making decisions that changed the course between them years ago. The spark between Chase and Katie never died ….and a second chance is what they need…

Wonderful story, sweet and clean….. highly recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was a quick, sweet romance of a lost love. Katie comes back home for a wedding after ten years of being gone. Chase is raising his nephew and never expected the woman who broke his heart to show up. Little did they know, the love was still there. If you want a quick romantic novel, this is it. The narration was great and really rounded off the book.

Kate finds second-chance love with her high-school sweetheart, Chase. This book is so romantic. I am a fan of this author as romance stories have an amazing human emotion to them. You can truly feel the love, the pain, everything the couples go through as they are working through the relationship. Listening to this as an audio book enhances the experience. You can feel the emotion even more when you hear it. The narrators did a wonderful job with this story. I found it interesting to just sit and listen. Truly, the struggle is real. This story is so relatable. This is a well-written and developed story that will touch your heart and leave you feeling touched when you are done.

Sweet, endearing tale of second chances.  Katie and Chase were in love since they could remember.  But Katie always wanted more than their small town could offer.  She worked hard and earned scholarships to college and her ticket out.  The only problem was Chase.  He didn’t need to escape the small town where they grew up.

Now it is 10 years later.  Chase is a successful banker, raising his nephew after a tragic car accident took both of Chase’s brother and his wife.  Katie used to like her job until her boss got pushed out by a bully.  Now Katie is miserable but can’t seem to find a way out.  Katie gets an invitation to an old friend’s wedding and, although she doesn’t know why, she decides to go home and to the wedding.  Because Katie doesn’t have a date, the bride assigns her a plus one.  It just so happens to be Katie’s ex-boyfriend, Chase.

Trying not to give away too much.  Chase and Katie spend time at the wedding and rediscover their spark.  But are either willing to change their life to rekindle what could have been?  Spend a little time in a small town figuring out what is really important.  Good listening!

This Time Around Audiobook by Jane Suen – Review by Deb Robinson

What a wonderful story.  The narration made you feel so part of the story, bringing out emotions.  I got sweet tears in my eyes at one point.

Katie is working in the big city following her dreams.  Working herself to the bone and eating TV dinners because she is just to exhausted.

Chase is now the father to little Timmy, his brother’s son.  He is content and has found happiness and love again in the little guy.

When Katie had broken his heart he never once imagined he would ever get over her. They hadn’t spoken since the day she left to follow her career.

In this second chance book, you will follow the pain they once went through and the new hope that lies ahead.

Katie finds her hometown friend’s wedding invitation buried under a stack of mail and makes the last-minute decision to escape her demanding job long enough to attend. She’s given little thought to being “minus a plus one” until the bride suggests she attends with another single. Anticipating polite conversation with a stranger over the plated entrée, Katie agrees… and finds herself face-to-face with her high school boyfriend, who she hasn’t seen since she dumped him after graduation.

Once a shy, gawky teenager, Chase has grown into a strong, handsome man. Yet he never escaped the heartache of Katie’s sharp rejection. For years, he’s distracted himself with work. Now, his time is filled with raising his nephew after his brother and sister-in-law died in a car accident. The last thing he needs is a painful reminder of the past. Yet, thanks to his cousin the bride, the two meet and realize the spark of attraction between them is still burning bright.

But Katie needs to return to her job, and Chase can’t uproot his orphaned nephew. Can the pair reconcile and build a future together?

Falling Again: A Buckeye Falls Novel

I think anyone who has been married has felt the disconnect in there marriage even if it was a fleeting moment. Throw in a kid or two or in some cases more and there no time to be a couple. I have been where Anthony and Natalie were in this book and I could relate in so many ways.

They are in a never-ending loop, kids, work and sleep then repeat day after day. They know they are in this rut but not too sure how to fix it. Thankfully Grandparents step up to help along with the fun Aunt (which every family should have and my family has two).

I was pulling for them from the beginning after not being too fond of Anthony in the beginning. I laughed and cried on and off throughout the book.

I’m pretty excited for the next book. Looking forward to seeing what happens with Alice.

The third book in the Buckeye Falls series is a beautifully written clean romance. I have loved this author’s writing style and fell in love again with this read. Almost immediately I was fully invested in these characters because they were so relatable. Doesn’t everything look pretty from the outside when you don’t know the blood, sweat, and tears behind the scenes? I enjoyed the flow of this story as the characters try and find their way back to each other and the love that has gotten further away from them over the years. You can read this as a standalone, but I highly recommend reading the entire series in order. You will get more background in each book, and everything ties together quite nicely. If you like sweet and clean romances, this is definitely for you!

This was my first read by this author, and I was pleasantly surprised to find a sweet and clean romance with a wonderful storyline. This is also the second book in the Buckeye Falls series, but I happened to miss the first one. I’m sure there are things tied in that I didn’t catch (my own fault) which leads me to recommend reading these in order. After I caught up, I found an emotional and romantic read that made my heart full. If you love grumpy/sunshine romances, please give this a chance. It definitely made me smile more than once.

If you are looking for a book that will give you all the feels, leave you crying, smiling, and wanting to keep turning the pages, then this book is for you!

Falling Again by Libby Kay is part of the Buckeye Fall series and follows the mayor of Buckeye Falls, Anthony and his wife Natalie as they find a way to rekindle the love they have for eachother that has taken a back burner due to careers, parenting and being spread way too thin.

Although it’s the 3rd book in the series, it can easily be read as a standalone and be thoroughly enjoyed but the feel of the book will be more complete if the series is read in order.

I loved the fact that the characters seemed real, flawed, and nuanced but still kept the fun of a romance. The book felt realistic and left you feeling all the warm and fuzzies! I can’t wait to pick up the next book by this author.

Happy Reading!

This is the 3rd book in the Buckeye Fall Series. Even though it is part of a series it can be read as a standalone and still enjoyed.
This is a small town romance and the author has a really unique way of bringing the characters to life and making them relatable.
This book really hit hard for me as it is about a couple who love each other dearly but who due to life commitments (work, kids, commitment to others) they lose themselves and their relationship. This hit me as there has been more than 1 occasion I have found myself in that position too.
I understood everything Natalie and Anthony were going through. I felt the love they have for each other but also the despair they felt when they realised that in the chaos they were losing themselves and their relationship and how hard it feels to even try and regain what they once had as a couple.

I found myself willing for them to both see that even though its going to take work they can find their way back to each other again but are they both willing to put in the effort needed to do that or will it be too little too late?

This is a moving story which could have been based on my own personal relationship. I related to it so much and the characters as well as their struggle to do it all for everyone while trying to resurrect their marriage.

Such a wonderful series so far!! I can’t wait to read more of it!! This is book 3 to the Buckeye Falls Series and boy oh boy are you in for it with this one! I cried a couple times for these characters. Anthony and Natalie have the picture perfect life and family. He’s the Mayor of Buckeye Falls and she runs her own event planning company with one of her best friends. Life is perfect. Or is it? From the outside everything seems great, but on the inside the couple isn’t doing well. Between two full time jobs, two kids, and everything in between work and home they’ve been drifting apart. Between Anthony trying to fill the big shoes of his father (the last mayor) and Natalie trying to be everything for everyone, the two of them lead very crazy lives and schedules. Both feel guilt of not doing better. Not being better. But can the couple come together and work things out? Or is this the end of their seemingly perfect relationship? When Anthony’s father asks the couple to pack up, clean, and get the family lake house ready for sale the couple jumps at the chance for a week away from everything. With the kids safely with their aunt with grandma there for backup, the two take off. Can the two put work and life away for a week and work things out while they pack? Or will this week away confirm their fears of growing apart in life. I won’t give anything away, but let me tell you that this couple has some ups and downs in this book. Sometimes over simple things that make you want to smack them both and lock them in a room until they work stuff out. Such a wonderful book that had me crying and thinking about some of my own relationships with family and friends. Check this sweet romance out! You CAN read this book as a stand alone, but I wouldn’t recommend it. The previous two books introduce you to the town and many of the characters that you will see in this book. So personally I would say read all three in order for a better reading experience with this series.

I really enjoyed this book. It was a great airport/travel book – easy to read, story was great and the characters were totally relatable. It isn’t a surprise that a marriage can feel detached once you have careers and kids – it was fun to read how Anthony and Natalie find a way back to each other. Anthony is a sweetheart – and finds himself in a sticky situation after he and Natalie make some promises to put each other first. I was sure glad he figured out a way to get out of that one – with the help of his friends!! I believe this is part of series – I will probably read the others!

What an adorable story of Natalie and Anthony. A husband and wife and have lost their way with each other. Between their work and kids, they have let their priority for each other slip. This story is an adorable rekindling of their love during a week long unexpected vacation and a town rallying behind them to help out! Another hit from Buckeye Falls!

Falling Again: A Buckeye Falls NovelFalling Again: A Buckeye Falls Novel by Libby Kay
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

In this poignant, sweet romance, Natalie and Anthony realize that they are missing something, each other. They are parents, business owners, the mayor, friends, siblings, children to their parents….but there seems to be a title missing. Husband and wife. It seems like they have forgotten that part.

Natalie constantly feels that she is failing with her children, her job, her responsibilities as the Mayor’s wife, and even failing herself. The biggest problem is that she can’t remember when she was Anthony’s wife. When he looked at her this morning as she stripped her chocolate stained shirt of to bathe their daughter, she realized that it has been waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too long since that has happened. She can’t remember the last time she saw him shirtless, much less naked.

Anthony has such big shoes to fill. Since his father was Mayor before him, Anthony feels the weight of his father’s shadow everywhere. Throw in trying to be a good dad, a decent son, an okay brother to a sister he doesn’t understand, a friend, Anthony forgot that he needs to be a good husband. Natalie is his everything. She is an amazing mom, a true support, and a better partner than he deserves. It takes a morning disaster for Anthony to realize that he needs to be better, do better.

When Anthony’s father asks him to take Natalie out to their summer house and pack it up to get it ready to sell, Anthony sees this opportunity to get some time with his wife. To finally have time to talk to her. To reconnect. After an almost perfect week, Anthony and Natalie come back ready to recommit to their marriage and lives. Anthony thinks he has found the perfect way to show Natalie this, a surprise 10th anniversary party. The only problem?? Anthony sucks at keeping secrets. He screws everything up. He is on the verge of losing Natalie and now must rely on friends to help, something he has never been good at doing. Will she forgive him? Or will this be the final straw that drives Natalie away?

This was a smash addition to this series about 2nd chances at love. The emotions that Natalie and Anthony felt were so real and raw. Anyone that has been in a relationship for 10 years or more knows what they were going through. Sometimes you just know that person is going to be there and you just forget to nurture them and the bond. Beautiful story.

I’m happy to say it’s time we returned to Buckeye Falls. Falling Again is the third book in this series and probably my favorite. The way this book played out is different but felt so real. I understand that what the author wrote is fiction, but it’s very relatable. Being a workaholic myself I understand how one could get lost in their work and distance themselves from what matters most. It’s also easier said than done to overcome that hurdle to create balance. That’s exactly what these characters are doing in this story.
Natalie and Anthony are the face of the town, and though everyone believes they are perfect they truly are struggling inside. This book takes them on a path of self discovery for why they got married in the first place. To find their spark that’s been lost the last few years.
Which is why I said it’s relatable, marriage isn’t easy. But you need to make sure there’s balance. Work life and home life, communication, physical activities, because if you lose all that why stay together. Some people choose that time to walk away, others find a way to try and fight through before giving up. And that’s exactly what these two characters do, they fight to find a way.
Unfortunately something happens that deters that whole effort. Is it too late to fix it?
The drama that unfolds will have you rooting for the grumpy mayor from the previous two books to come out on top.
I hope this isn’t the end of this series and there’s more to come, because it’s one of my favorites.

Falling Again is the third book in the Buckeye Falls series. Each story can be read as a standalone, focusing on a different couple, but the same characters are in all of the books so it’s good to read the series in order to see them develop and avoid spoilers!

Anthony and Nathalie really need to work on their relationship. With plenty of other urgent commitments and emergency situations coming from work, the kids, and their extended families, they’re struggling to make time for each other. Occasional romantic moments are undermined by a myriad of distractions and it’s clear to both of them, and seemingly half of the town, that something has to change.

This is an enjoyable and fun read! I like that this series focuses on different kinds of relationships – reinvigorating an old relationship can be just as romantic as starting a new one! The kids, Maddie and Otis, are great and add a lot of playfulness (and glitter!) to the story.

Although she’s not the focus of this story, CeCe and her amazing baked treats are back and feature prominently enough that I would recommend having some snacks available as you read this book! It gets five stars from me.

Falling Again by Libby Kay is available now in eBook and Paperback
⭐️⭐️⭐⭐⭐ Book Review

Libby Kay has won me over once again! Falling Again is the third installment of the Buckeye Falls Series but can easily be read as a standalone. Each novel revolves around a specific couple in Buckeye Falls. Previously we met CeCe and Ginny. This time we are introduced to their friend Natalie and her husband Anthony. Natalie and Anthony have hit hard times in their marriage. They have two young children and very demanding jobs. Natalie owns a business and Anthony is the mayor. With the demands of their everyday lives they have not been able to devote any time to their marriage and one another. When given the opportunity to spend the weekend at the family lake house they attempt to rekindle what is left.

There are many days that I struggle to balance my kids and my job and realize sometimes by the end of the day I am too tired to give my husband the attention he deserves. Despite this being a work of fiction, it reassured me that this happens more than people know. Marital struggles are real! Kay’s story line and characters are down to earth and relatable in so many ways. This installment was definitely spicier than any of the others but this couple deserved every moment of it. I consistently found myself rooting for Anthony and Natalie in hopes they could rekindle their love and have their second chance at love. I highly recommend not only this novel, but this series to all romance readers. These are an absolute must read!

Although this is fiction, the author realistically portrays the reality of marriage when life has intruded upon it. I love how the main characters are parents who struggle to communicate with one another. Their kindergarten daughter runs around with a swear jar, ready to collect money from any adult in her house who happens to cuss. I think that’s funny, because I, too, have a swear jar (my swear jar is a large baby bottle whose contents get donated to a local crisis pregnancy center on an annual basis- I tend to think of this as “charitable cursing”). Marriage is messy. Communication within a marriage can be messy- but the outcome can definitely be worth the struggle.

We are back in Buckeye Falls with Anthony and Natalie. These two have been married for a while, raising kids, both working endless hours but the sizzle in their marriage has dwindled. With the help of family and local residents we’ve previously met, the couple work to grow back together as husband and wife.
While this was a cute read, we didn’t really get much new info about the town or the people. It’s the same storyline with a new couple. The only ‘twist’ is that this couple is still in a marriage working on rekindling the flame. It was a quick story and good read just didn’t leave me wanting more as I had with the previous two books in the series.

I really enjoyed Falling Again, the 3rd book in the Buckeye Falls series. There are crossover characters from the previous two books, but this could be enjoyed as a stand alone book. The whole series are cute books. This book focuses on Anthony and Natalie. Anthony is the mayor of Buckeye falls. The previous books portray him poorly, being a grump and a pretty stuck up. While Natalie is one of Cece and Ginny’s best friends and a sweet mom to two rambunctious kids. This book gave us a better look into each character, and we find out Anthony is a good guy who is just overworked and stressed out from living under his father’s shadow. The book is very sweet, and romantic. Being a exhausted mom, this book is very realistic. I hope there is another book in the series, as we got to see a bit into Anthony’s sister Alice this time. I would love to hear her story.

This is a nice addition to this series. We have seen the mayor and his wife in previous stories. They always come off superior and less than human. In here we see another side of them ad we fet a sneak peek behind their closed doors. Uncomfortable in their life together and each not know how but wishing they could reconnect and always too busy with their business side and kids.

The author does a good job of bringing me around to liking and even feeling sorry for each of these two. I feel the story itself does move slow and I found myself easily putting this down. I am saddened by that since this is a good series with wonderful characters.

They have both been neglecting each other since he has become mayor, she started her business and they had their two children. This book is the third book in a series. It absolutely can be read as a stand alone. This book focuses on additional characters in Buckeye Falls. I have read the other books and loved them. This one was enjoyable but focused a lot more on the sexual tension and interaction between Anthony and Natalie. Anthony and Natalie have almost a fairytale marriage. They couldn’t possibly be struggling – or could they? I did really enjoy the realness of their struggles. They have busy lives with their jobs and their kids. They haven’t had time for each other, and it is wearing on them and their marriage. Ultimately this story is about them finding their way back to each other and rekindling their marriage. I love this world and the characters and will continue to read about them. While maybe more steamy than the first two books, it was still great!

Another lovely read from this author and her lovely community at Buckeye Falls. What I love about this series is the couple featured all seem real and have relatable problems. I enjoyed Anthony and Natalie’s story and it does go to show that sometimes people can seem really happy on the outside but inside things aren’t always that great. I feel like these characters were really honest and genuine people who had just lost their way a bit.
