A vampire master on the hunt for a rogue who got away. An infuriating beauty who won’t do as she’s told. When destiny speaks, will immortal hearts survive?
As a pureblood and dark-souled master, I will capture the rogue vampire trying to steal the secrets that we keep. When we find him, no one will stop me from seeking retribution for the destruction they’ve caused.
Not the shifters, witches, or even the biggest traitor of all.
But when a red-headed beauty gets caught in the crossfire, I must save her from our foes.
That proves harder than it should because the fiery female has powers of her own. When she uses her magical gift, the mystery of the stones exposes a secret we’ve never known.
Battle lines between the witches and vampires become clearly drawn, but that won’t stop me. Whether destiny forbids it or not, I will make the bewitching enchantress my mate.
Master Oradea is the explosive tenth book in the Masters of the Consulate series by Sylvia Black. It is a deliciously dark, fated mates, enemies to lovers, vampire mafia romance. You will love these novels where the passion is fiery, the loyalty is fierce, and the stakes are high. Each book in this collection is a stand-alone, with different characters and a guaranteed happily ever.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the 9th book in the Masters of the Consulate series. This is a fated mate’s book. Botosoni and Catina’s story is compelling and their attraction is instant. They both need the other. She is a seer and can help with the upcoming war. She needs to get away from her family before they can sell her. This series is fast paced and spicy.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was a great 5 star read. The author has once again pulled me in and I didn’t want to put it down until I was done. If you like paranormal with some darkness thrown in, this is the series for you. The intense battle with rogue vampires continues and Master Botosoni unexpectedly finds his mate. Catina is a psychic who can see the future, when she meets Master Botosoni things change. You can feel the attraction between these two coming off of the pages. Will she be able to help?

Overall I thoroughly enjoyed this read. We get so much suspense, danger, steaminess and so much more. All of the secondary characters added a great element to the story. We see several from previous books in the series. I will warn that there is a cliffhanger ending. If you are looking for a great series to read 1-click and get started today. I look forward to reading more from this series and author.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I have loved every book in the Masters of the Consulate series so far, and this ranks as one of my favorites! While you could read this as a stand-alone, there are characters from other books included so it can help get the full effect reading them all. Plus, once you read one, you’re bound to go back and scoop up the rest of the series! With plenty of danger, mystery, romance, and of course, vampires, the author has created a truly remarkable tale between Master Botosoni and Catina. Their chemistry together sparks a fire throughout the book, and I couldn’t get enough so much so that I read it all in one go. The only complaint I could possibly have about this one is that I wish it was longer! I am on pins and needles waiting for the 10th book in the series so I can get wrapped up in this world again. I highly recommend picking this up especially if you like paranormal romance!

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Master Botosoni is the ninth book in the Masters of the Consulate Series. I’ve read a few books in this series and while some have been in order I’ve also skipped around and while the characters and small things cross over from book to book they can also be read as a standalone story without feeling like you missed out on a lot. Each story that I have read has been solid and well written with complex, interesting characters, and Master Botosoni was no different. I know that when I pick up a dark paranormal romance novel from Sylvia Black I know I am in for a quick, fast paced, edge of your seat, steamy read. I like how Sylvia portrays the men in this series because what is hotter than Bossy, Alpha, fiercely loyal, loving, Vampire men. Of course the FMC, Catina, is falling in love with Master Botosoni. She is also a big asset to the war between the witches, shifters, and humans that is still going on, and havoc is still occurring in all the masters regions. Will the vampires still be standing in the end or will the shifters prevail? Only time will tell. I look forward to continuing this series.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Master Botosoni is Book Nine in the Masters of the Consulate series. It is a dark vampire fated mates romance with action, suspense, mystery, intrigue, passion, danger, drama, tension, and emotion galore. This book is part of a series with some overlapping details and background information, so I do recommend reading the other books first. However, it can be read as a standalone because the story focuses on its own two main characters and is told from each of their POV. This book is the story of Master Botosoni, a vampire with a thirst for blood, and Catalina, a down-on-her-luck psychic. Master Botosoni will do anything to stop the rogue vampires and as fate would have it Catalina is the one who can lead him to them. Their romance is forbidden but the chemistry between them is off the charts and undeniable. Will Catalina choose Master Botosoni and immortality in the name of love? A great read with high stakes, vampires, witches, shifters, pure bloods, magic, and a feud that has been going on for centuries. The vivid scene descriptions and wonderful characters fully immerse you in the story and keep you hooked until the final pages. Bring on the next book!

If you love romance stories about vampires, chances are, you will enjoy this story. It’s got a bit of everything – romance, danger, betrayal, suspense, steamy scenes.
I will also note that I found it interesting how the author blended the old-world vibe in with more modern vibes. Keeps the reading experience fresh.

Master Botosoni has been tasked with hunting down rogue vampires and traitor shifters who have taken up hiding in his region. When his local bosses send him to a known psychic living in his town, he finds himself in the middle of not only a hunt for the enemy, but also a responsibility to save this young woman from her terrible family. The rest of the masters show up with their mates, and the confrontation is set up. Master Botosoni does his due diligence in furthering the mission first, but will it cost him his mate?

I have been reading this series for a while and enjoy this author. The storyline moved quickly and characters from past books played a role in this book. The traitor was a surprise to me and left me wondering if I had misread past books! I would have liked to have had more information about moments in the book, or more set up for things that occurred. It seemed like an event happened and then there was a little bit of information after the fact. This author is usually very thorough with their writing, so I was a little surprised by it. However, because I have read the previous books, I could fill in information on my own. All in all, this installment moved the series forward and is setting up for the finale.

This is book 9 in the series and it can be read as a stand alone. I however, would recommend reading all the books before this one. This would just allow you to be able to fully understand all the backstory that leads up to this book. Not meaning that you need it for the characters but for the actual storyline. It would give you a more in depth knowledge of this amazing storyline that you find in book 9. IF you happen to find yourself reading this book first, you will be fine doing so. It has everything you need to fully understand what is going on. You won’t have as much background but it isn’t needed unless you are like me and crave to know everything when you fall in love with a series. You will find yourself swept away in a world of vampires, witches, shifters, and seers which bring you amazing action, loyalty, love, steam, and more. There is BDSM in this book and I feel like it was spicy enough for me to maybe become various shades of red while reading but not fanning myself over the steam rising off of the pages. I will say that you might squirm a bit in your seat if you are reading this in public. This book sucks you in from the beginning and will have you not able to do much else with your day until you finish it. That said, it was a quick read for me (a day) and I felt like I didn’t want it to end. It does end in a cliff hanger just an fyi. However, that means that there will be another book and that makes me really excited. This book was really well written and had tons of characters that you find yourself attaching to each of them (a good reason to read the other books in the series). This is a great book to just lose yourself in for a day or make it a week and read the whole series.

Mann!! I do love this series and I’m always super excited when I see a new one was released. This could be read as a standalone but let me tell you I highly suggest you going back to read all 8 of the previous books. Sylvia Black definitely has another hit on her hands. This book wass so good from start to finish. I could barely sit it down. I just had to know how it ended. How Botosoni and Catina got their HEA. It’s a fast past read with some steamy bits. It was also real action packed, with the war between them and rogues and shifters. This author is always so well written, with great characters and side characters.i love reading her works.I can not wait til April for the 10th Book 🙌😍

I’ve had the privilege of reading and a reviewing a few of the books in this series, and I’m so glad I get to read more of it. Watching each couple add to the world thus far has been amazing.

I can only imagine what it felt like being Catina thrown into the middle of everything. Having to be the strong one in a family of no goods is rough, but she’s doing all she can to keep going. Being thrown into the middle of an underground war is a lot to handle. Her skills are amazing, and I love how she uses them.

Her and Botosoni are hot and spicy, and despite their struggles, they’re fantastic together. I’m so glad I got to read their story 😁😁

I really love this series by this author and this is yet another great addition to it. I am a die hard vampire romance reader and this once again hit the spot. I love how the author is able to bring the characters to life and drag the reader into the book. There is just the right amount of drama and adventure mixed into the romance. I really like how this brings the characters together as well as creates the world in which they are in. The reader is really drawn into the world and left on the edge of their seats waiting to see how the story will unfold. I really love how the books really do blend into one another. Master Botosoni is Book Nine in the Masters of the Consulate series and this series gets better and better and every book if fabulous, and just when you think it cannot be any better…….it is!! The story telling that this author gives to the readers like me….WOW. This story is fast paced, action, very intense moments, vampires, rogue shifters, fated mates, betrayal, lies and deceit.

Master Botosoni is seeking to know what may be in store to come especially with the stench of rogue shifters and a possibility of a war. The help that he seeks is from Catina, whom can foresee the future. Catina is cautious, knowing her family is out to sell her to the highest bidder for money, as she seeks to live her life. Botosoni receives some answers from Catina that leads into high intensity moments, as he and the other Master prepare for war…..but the attraction between Catina and Botosoni is also undeniable. When danger strikes at Catina…will Botosoni be there for her when she needs him the most or will his greed of revenge come first…..

Definitely read this series in order as you get to know each of the characters…you will not be disappointed! I am already anticipating Book 10!!

This is the first book I have read in this series, I had no trouble understanding what was going on without having read the previous books. I am definitely going to go back and read them. This is Master Botosoni and Catina’s story. He seeks her out hoping she can help him find his enemies he’s desperate to find. She is trying to earn as much money as she can while also trying not to disgrace her family. The chemistry between these two is off the charts from the start. I don’t want to give anything away so I will just say that this book was so good that I read it in one sitting. I found it to be intriguing and entertaining and I can’t wait to read the next one. Master Botosoni is the 9th book in the Masters of the Consulate series, but the only one I’ve read. I really liked the book, and got sucked in almost instantly. I felt the bdsm aspect was unnecessary and one that is over done. Rich powerful male, youth virgin girl… same old, same old. Once I was done rolling my eyes on that part, I got back to the story, which is well written and developed. There are a lot of characters, but they are supporting roles and focuses on Botosoni and Catina. I assume they are from the other 8 books I have yet to read- so reading as a series would probably make you more invested in their roles. The ending is a total cliff hanger which is frustrating, but the author was successful in guaranteeing a reader for the next book.

I’m usually done after book 4 they just don’t have the same quality, but that isn’t the case here. Black has kept the story so interesting that you are cursing the end of the book and waiting for the next. The main love story of book nine is Master Botosoni and Catina. Will rules and expecting of the others keep them apart? Or do they get thuer HEA? Read to find out – it’s worth it.

WOW!!!! This book ended with a whollup of a twist that I didn’t see coming. I loved this book and series. I have read them all and can’t wait for the next one.

The chemistry that came off the pages between Catina and Master Botosoni was magnetic. Catina is a physic reader and from a strict family of proprietary. Her father is trying to arrange a marriage that will bring her family money, although she is not overly cooperative. I wouldn’t either. Not in this day and age.

Great book. Lots of twists, angst, and war to keep you flipping page after page.

Heart stopping for sure. Sylvia Black continues to draw you into the world of the Masters of the Consulate in book nine. Sheba is a traitor after being one of the most trusted allies but so much more awaits. Dual perspectives of Master Botosoni and Catina. This series each book is a guaranteed happy ever after, but this one made my heart stop in fear when the lack of communications almost took away everything.
Master Botosoni is stunned learning Sheba has turned and is in the forest nearby, at the base of the Carpathian Mountain range. The very lands that each faction of the underworld fights for with their blood claiming it as their land. All for the secrets hidden within. Catina is the only daughter in a traveler family. Deemed too old to marry off at twenty-one her family try to sell her with her virginity as the big draw. Botosoni is told by many of the Lords in his region to visit her, let her do a reading for him she is good and can help him in the hunt for the rogues and shifters, Sheba included. Instantly they are drawn together but when her family returns too soon, she tells them lies with a promise of a big payout to get them to leave her with the vampires. She only wants to help but overhearing the story on the security system Botosani instantly takes it as truth after hearing of the con from his second in command. Hearing that her family is near the rogues and shifters camp she flees to save them and make them leave the area before they become the next snack. Not a word said to Botosoni as her heart breaks hearing him call her a liar. Omens plague her mind as she races to the mountain.
Will Catina save her family in time or become a victim herself completing the omen of her brutal attack? How do they survive the communication flop and find their way back together? This world, the characters, the plot, the ever evolving and developing story as everything is revealed in time and across each book draws you in. The author’s talent no joke her description of the soup early on made me so hungry I had to make a snack as soon as I finished the chapter. I truly cannot wait for book ten, Master Oradea, April 26th, 2026. Happy 12th birthday to my son, but mommy will be in the corner reading the next book every chance she gets.

Master Botosoni has a lead to the rogue elements trying to bring down the Consulate but can he follow the rules and stay away from her or is the attraction too much for him to resist.

Catina has visions of where the shifter den is but when she is enlisted by the consulate to find the rogue Vampires and shifters but when her vision leads her into danger can she get out in time or is her fate sealed.

This is the ninth in the series and they just get better with each instalment. The chemistry between Catina and Master Botosoni is off the chart and I always love the loyalty these alpha man have to the charges they have, it is just brilliant to read. Although these are relative short stories they definitely pack a punch and leave you wanting more and more.

I can’t wait to see who the next Master’s story will be and get closer to them getting rid of the rogue elements.

Master Botosoni is the ninth book in the Masters of the Consulate series by Sylvia Black. It is a captivating dark paranormal romance with an underworld society/vampire mafia, enemies to lovers, rogue vampire faction, shifters, witches, psychics, pure bloods, politics, magic, agendas, fated mates, age gap, danger, drama, high stakes, chemistry, sizzle, emotion, action, loyalty, bonds, mysteriousness, intrigue, tension, emotion, and a centuries-old feud/war. The story is told from a duel POV- which gave me a much richer perspective and added extra depth and interest to my reading experience.
This is Master Botosoni and Catina’s story- which grabbed me right from the beginning and held my attention the entire way through. There was no putting the book down, with all the ingredients of a dark, tense romantic suspense- I really had to know what would happen, so I ended up staying up well past my bedtime and read it all in one sitting. #sleepisoverratedright
This could be read as a standalone as each book in the series focuses on its own separate character/s, but I highly recommend reading the other books in the series before beginning this one, as there are many interconnected details and recurring characters that span the series- including a bridging background story that’s being built/expanded with each new addition- so I really recommend reading from the beginning, so you know what’s happened right from the start.
The best part about this series is that there are 12 books planned…. 9 down, 3 still to come —– which means more sexy vampires on the way!
Bring on Book #10 — “Master Oradea” — I can’t wait!!!
Happy Reading…

Thank you, Sylvia Black!

Catina is a Romanian psychic stuck in the strict old ways of her people. At only 21 years old she is considered old to not be married by now. Her abusive parents and brothers are trying to sell her. She wants to escape and marry for love but is stricken by her loyalty to family.

Master Botosoni decides to hire Catina’s service to help find more information on the rogue vampires. After having a vision, she collapses and Botosoni decides that she has seen something pertinent to their mission and brings her to his estate.

Instantly there is chemistry between the two, but Catina is pure. She knows her family would see her as a disgrace just by being in the vampire master’s home, let alone have a relationship of any kind with him. She plans on helping the Masters find the rogues and then go home. As time goes on, the tension gets stronger and she has to make a decision. Stay with the family who has abused her for years or abandon all she knows and stay with Botosoni.

Meanwhile Botosoni wants Catina to be his but has trust issues with women in general. Can they put their hang ups aside and become mates like destiny wants?

I have been invested in this series since almost the very beginning and for good reason. Each story is a different Vampire finding his mate and each couple is different than the previous. After 9 books in the series, the author is still going strong. The subplot is always full of mystery and action while the main plot is always romantic and sometimes steamy.

  1. Master Botosoni (Masters of the Consulate #9)Master Botosoni by Sylvia Black
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Going into this book I wish I would of read the others. I know it says standalone but I feel like I would of benefited from reading the ones before it. However that being said this was an action packed paranormal Romance. I am a sucker for anything vamp related. We have Master Botonsoni and we are in the middle of a fight with rogue vamps. Who is helped along by Catina and her ability. I plan on starting this series from the start.
