Master Sardinia (Masters of the Consulate Book 8) by Sylvia Black – Review by Michaela Massie

Master SardiniaMaster Sardinia by Sylvia Black
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Let me start off by saying that this is the 8th book in the Masters of the Consulate series by Sylvia Black, and it is AWESOME. This can be read as a standalone like I have read it, or it can be read in chronological order. I plan to go back and read the rest of the series.

Master Sardinia will do anything to keep the order and halt the dark plans of the traitors from coming to fruition.

After a brutal shifter attack, Master Sardinia is left with no alternative but to turn Madria Benalli, a 21 year old woman who just happens to be the daughter of the owner of Club Benalli, and a psychic in her own right.

Madria sees Sardinia as the enemy, and Master Sardinia views Madria as an infuriating psychic. They are very different people, but one thing they share is an unquestionable and electric attraction to one another. How will they cope with their growing attraction and feelings for one another while fighting against the dark forces that threaten them? Take a moment to read this jam-packed book and find out!!

This is the eighth book in this series and it just gets better an better with each book written, this book follows the Master Sardinia and Madria. When the rogues and shifters descend on the Island of Master Sardinia he is determined to protect what he and his other Masters have achieved, but when Madria is put in danger the only thing he can do to save her is change her.

Madria has the sight but she has always thought this a curse but when she sees something which disturbs her she has to right the wrong, but knowing she has always had a dislike to Master Sardinia when there worlds collide her whole world turns on its access.

Can they survive the rogues, Shifters and witches and themselves?

The only regret I have with these books are I read them too fast, as always there is action, drama and thrilling twists and turns which adds to the thrilling fast pace of the book. The worlds in which you create are so brilliant and draw you in from the first word printed on the page.

As with all the other books you have captured the feel of these character brilliantly and although this is normally a genre I read every new book has me itching to see what new adventure and rogues, shifters and witches this Mafia gang of vampires can rid the kingdoms of, although there are four more books in this series left I think at the end I will be sad to leave these sexy vampires and there mates.

Thank you for introducing me to a genre I would not have ventured but now love.

I absolutely love this series! Master Sardinia is forced to turn Madria after she is attacked by the shifters. She has strong psychic powers and a necklace that could win this battle for the vampires. The history that Madria’s family has with vampires isn’t all that great so we can safely say she wasn’t too thrilled to be changed. There is of course a lot of action as they get closer to finding the rogues that want the vampires out of power. The magnetic attraction of these two, as well as the others when they found their mates, is great to watch unfold. These stories are well written and engage the reader from page one. While any one of these can be read as a standalone I highly suggest reading from book one. I am eagerly anticipating the next installment.

Things are heating up and I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.

Master Sardinia and Madra have their hands full when the shifters are after the stone. When the truth comes out about Madra’s ancestors will Master Sardinia be left by the side of the road so to speak. Can Madra see past her hatred of the vampires to help?

Master Descallia and Lucianna and the group are always a step or two or three behind. If Madra decides to help that might just come to an end.

Excellent addition to the Master series.

“ My hand touches his…
I quickly pull my hand back as waves of desire snake down my spine and settle into my core. This raw ache for him just gets stronger and stronger as the day goes on. The attraction as a human was strong enough, but this—an almost undeniable magnetism to the brute I can barely contain. ”

Master Sardinia is the eighth book in the Masters of the Consulate series by Sylvia Black. I know I have said this with every new instalment in this series, but it’s true- this series just gets better with each new instalment- and I don’t need any more enticement than sexy vampires: vampire mafia to be exact- even better.
Again, as with the rest of the series, this is a fantastic dark vampire romance/paranormal romance- and has all the ingredients of a romantic suspense too– with an underworld society/vampire mafia, enemies to lovers, a fated mates element, age gap, danger, drama, high stakes, chemistry, sizzle, agendas, evil plans, politics, magic, emotion, action, loyalty, bonds, mysteriousness, intrigue, tension, emotion, and is told from a duel POV- which gives this story added depth and interest.
I highly recommend reading the other books in the series before beginning this one. Because even though you could read this as a standalone, as each book in the series focuses on its own separate character/s, and there are also some interconnected details, as well as recurring characters that pop up/span the series- so I really recommend reading from the beginning, so you know what’s happened right from the start.
The best part about this series is that there are 12 books planned…. 8 down, 4 still to comewhich means more sexy vampires on the way!
Oh, and did I mention VAMPIRES!!!!!
Bring on Book #9 – I can’t wait!!!
Happy Reading…

Thank you, Sylvia Black!

This book is really well written. It is the 8th book in the series and I decided this was the one I was going to start with. You can just start like I did or you can read the whole series. I would highly suggest reading the whole series. I am personally going to go back and read them. I feel like I wouldn’t have been as lost as I was and would have a lot more background information with the characters in this story. However, I was able to pick up on things rather quickly and my lack of knowledge didn’t hinder this books plot at all. The way the main characters grow throughout the story and the steam that they give off is amazing. It is a quick read as I couldn’t put it down. This book has everything from steam, too romance, too crazy vampires. I was highly entertained and found myself a little disappointed when the book ended. I then remembered that I get to read the other 7 books in the series. That made me happy. If you are one that like vampires and steam and mystery, this series seems to have all of that and more. You won’t be disappointed when you pick this book up to read it. Again, I would probably read the first books in the series because I feel like I would have enjoyed the book more had I had more information but it didn’t deter from the story.

Hot flash in a pan of searing heat. Once more the amazing Sylvia Black has given us a connection that once it is ignited it doesn’t ease up or falter. From start to finish Master Sardinia and Madria’s story keeps you on edge. The secrets, the revelations, the unfettered desire that won’t stop. This book picks up where the previous entry in the series, Master Campania ended, the consulate is in Rome and have just finished the meeting on what is to happen next as the rogues have moved to the island of Sardinia, its Master will take lead in the hunt for the rogues.
Sardinia looks to his “brothers” and surprised by their once like-minded understanding of emotions and feelings for females now happily in love and mated. Without a moment to rest he is called to a local club, Club Benalli, has a pack of shifters trying to make it their new place and getting violent. No hesitation as Master Sardinia and the group transport to the club and handle the situation when something strange happens. Madria Benalli is the daughter of the club’s owner, recently twenty-one, she is determined to do more in her life than marry rich and wear a crown as her overbearing protective father would like. She is a psychic and determined to learn all that she can about the vampires that brutally murdered her mother’s family centuries ago. When Madria is attacked by the shifters Master Sardinia has no choice but to turn her to save her. Initially she thought the stone around her neck was only important to her and the history of her family was so much more than that. It is a stone known as labrodite, it can see the past, the present and the future. More importantly it holds secrets of the rogues that killed her ancestors that could help in the current hunt for the rogues and all their underworld members, of all races.
Will Madria find a way to forgive the dark-souled beast that turned her? How will Sardinia handle the magnetic pull to Madria? Once more the world of the masters of the consulate has grown, now the Island of Sardinia where billionaires and the elite play. Not knowing that in the shadows a war is growing and becoming more aggressive. Seeing the character arcs is so satisfying to see them grow and evolve not only to see the bigger picture but open to their own deepest desires and emotions that they refused until they couldn’t. How the author can so seamlessly merge each book into the next but keep them as technically being a stand-alone is next level talent and abilities. While I started this series on book six, Master Calabrea I fully intend to go back the beginning soon and see how it started until then I will be counting down the days until book nine, Master Botosoni, January 19th, 2024.

This is the 8th book in this series and it just keeps getting better. I love the sexy alpha and the sassy heroine who doesn’t back down trope, along with the electric chemistry. Sardinia is the Master of his island and rules things well, but it’s discovered that the rogues have managed to infiltrate his domain without his notice. Madria is the daughter of the club owner, the shifters attempt to infiltrate and she also has the gift of sight. She is not a fan of Sardinia, but when fate throws them together, they have to survive not only the shifters, witches, and rogues, but a centuries old secret. I love how well the story line moves along through each book, we keep getting closer to the final showdown. The author has done an amazing job of creating standalone books that fit into a storyline that keeps moving through seamlessly. If you like steamy paranormal romance with a danger, intrigue, and twists, this is a great book and series to check out.

Master Campania is the seventh explosive book in the EPIC Masters of the Consulate series by Sylvia. It is an age-gap enemies to lovers’ trope. Hands down the dark and delicious Masters of the Consulate is one of my all-time favourite series. I was so excited to see another book out.
It’s easy to become immersed in Sylvia’s magical world of fated mates where old-world the alpha vampire mafia reside. I cannot get enough of these men in this dark paranormal romance tales. Make sure you read them all in order because there is so much that you will be missing out on.
I feel like I keep repeating myself in my reviews of this series but there are only so many ways you can keep saying just how amazing this series is.
I was once again instantly lost in the story. Lost to this harsh yet beautiful world. Sylvia’s characterisation is done very well, and world building is vividly imagined through her wonderful narrative.
The story is fast paced, intense, full of suspense and steaming hot.
Master Sardinia is dangerous; he is darkness, he is all power, he is pure arrogance and sizzling sex appeal, and he fights for what is his. What a man!

As always, I look forward to more from this bestselling author. You go girl.

This series fascinates me. I’ve had the privilege to read books 4 and 5 as well, and I love how it incorporates the triad of paranormal/supernatural creatures (vampires/witches/werewolves). The witty humor and the edge of your seat action make it hard to put down. I also love how connected the story world is because it’s easy to miss certain characters from previous books, but stories like this, you can see them from a different perspective as the spotlight is on someone else.

Master Campania is the seventh book in the Masters of the Consulate Series and is a Paranormal Romance that once you start reading there’s no putting it down until you’ve finished. I’m a huge fan of this author and this series and highly suggest reading the previous books if you haven’t already started them as each book is about a different character but some of them overlap plus you’ll have a better understanding of what has happened. This series just keeps getting better and better with each new book. There’s plenty of drama, vampires, suspense, mafia, magic and so much more to keep you turning the pages till the end. Willow and Master Campania are very intriguing and the their story is a bit intense and steamy at times. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. Master Campania: Dark Vampire Romance (Masters of the Consulate Book 7)Master Campania: Dark Vampire Romance by Sylvia Black

I love that each of the books in the Masters of the Consulate Book series are all standalone books, yet they build upon the whole of the storyline. Currently, I’ve read book 6 and book 7 and now want to go back to the beginning and read through the entire series before book 8 comes out. I am so intrigued by the story of how each Vampire Master has met their amazing mates! Sylvia Black is one of the best authors we have today when it comes to writing about the different mythical creatures of the world, including witches, vampires, shapeshifters (werewolves), telepathies, and so much more. The way that she has developed this world that normally is against one another’s races are drawn to comingle one with another is so awesome. If you are into reading a good paranormal book, with romance, drama, and a battle of good vs. evil, then this is a series that you will not want to miss. The characters are so dimensional, and the fact that you get to experience the storyline from both the male and female main character’s point of view is just ingenious.

Master Campania: Dark Vampire Romance (Masters of the Consulate Book 7)Master Campania: Dark Vampire Romance by Sylvia Black
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Master Campania is the seventh book from the Masters of the Consulate series. I have not read all of the books so far but I have read a few of them. Even though each book is about one of the Vampire Masters finding their mates, there is a subplot connecting each book to each other. Each book can technically be read as a stand alone, but I suggest reading each book of the series to be fully engaged with the characters.

This time around, it’s about Master Campania and Willow, who is a witch. Vampires and witches are enemies and can never be fated mates right? Well Campania and Willow are both starting to wonder if that is true or not.

Master Campania is looking for a group of witches he heard was in his territory. He’s hoping to get some information out of them about rogue vampires who are working with witches. When he finds the group he is looking for, he is instantly attracted to one of them. Campania convinces her (Willow) to come have a civil talk and he will leave her and her friends alone.

Although Willow has left the academy, she still felt connected to her fellow witches and lied to Campania about where he could find some rogues. Before Willow and her friends can escape, Campania catches on and appears to the group of females. He kidnaps them and keeps Willow with him. She WILL help him if she wants to see her friends again.

Thus begins the classic tale of enemies to lovers. There is a strong connection between the two of them but years of being taught to despise each other’s kind is bound to get in the way. Will they be able to put their differences aside for the greater good?

Once again the author was able to create a romantic scene within a world of darkness. I loved each book of this series I have read so far and can’t wait to read about the next Master of the Consulate!

Once again, I loved another addition of the Master’s of the Consulate series. Master Campania and the other purebloods are still on the hunt for rogue witches and shifters. Campania seeks information from local witches who have left their coven. What he doesn’t realize is that the witch he finds will have a connection to him. Willow is a powerful witch who has left her coven due to not agreeing with the leader. She is hoping to just live her life peacefully but knows exactly who Campania is when he walks into the bar. Very quickly they move from enemies to lovers. However, Campania always doubted the witches because of the history the vampires have with them. Even though both feel the psychic connection, he speaks of the lack of trust which breaks Willow’s heart. In the end, both realize what needs to be done and how they need each other to survive this life. This isn’t the last installment of this series so does end with their story finished, but another will take place. As usual, I loved their story. These books are short, sweet, entertaining, to the point, with a little romance involved. Both characters were loveable. The couple had great banter and chemistry. I can’t wait for the next one.

Master Campania: Dark Vampire Romance (Masters of the Consulate Book 7)Master Campania: Dark Vampire Romance by Sylvia Black
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is book 7 of the Masters of the Consulate series and these books just keep getting better and better. As the Masters get closer to bringing down the rogue vampires the story really keeps you on the edge of your seat. And with this being a paranormal romance there is a fated mates element too in the form of Master Campania and Willow.
Master Campania is a confirmed bachelor, never wanting to settle down with a woman until he meets Willow. However, everything says they shouldn’t be together, the main reason being he is a vampire and Willow is a witch. With bad blood between them can they even trust each other enough to make a relationship work?
Their connection is so strong and the chemistry between them is so hot that both parties could end up burning in the flames.
Campania searches Willow out to help him find the witches that are helping the rogue vampires and shifters who are determined to destroy the life that the vampires have created.
However he gets more than he anticipated when he finally gets his witch.

This story is fast paced and full of action as well as high emotions. The writing really drags you into the story making you feel every confusing emotion that Campania and Willow go through on their path to discovering what they mean to each other.
The story ends setting us up perfectly for the next book. Will the Masters of the Consulate finally be able to rid themselves of the rogue vampires and threat to their way of life or will they escape again? And what part do the witches play? I have a feeling that there is something deeper going on with the witches and the side the choose.

This was my 1st spooky season read & it was good for dipping my toes in! Brimming with vampires & witches & magic & werewolves, it definitely matches the vibe. The storyline moves right along & there’s never a dull moment. Willow is so easily likeable, I never got annoyed with her decision making or thought she was doing too much. She is brave & sweet & fights for what she believes in. Campania is smoldering & sexy & also never p*ssed me off lol. They had a steamy scene but I wished for more! The other characters were all great too & really solidly supportive. & we always love a good girl power moment ! It was refreshing to read something entertaining without getting my emotions bounced around a Nascar racetrack lol.

This is the seventh book in the Masters of the Consulate Series. They are all just so good. The world that has been built in these books is so deep. I love that these characters are so complex and different. Campania does not like witches so of course his mission he is on involves dealing with one. I love the story between Campania and Willow. Their attraction is off the charts. As with the rest of the series it is hard to put this book down.

Master Campania: Dark Vampire Romance (Masters of the Consulate Book 7)Master Campania: Dark Vampire Romance by Sylvia Black
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Master Campania is Book Seven in the Masters of the Consulate series. It is an edgy, enemies to lovers, paranormal romance with vampires, witches, magic, drama, danger, action, suspense, chemistry, passion, love, and fated mates. Although this book could possibly be read as a standalone, I recommend reading the first books in the series because they will introduce you to some of the recurring characters that pop up. Putting that aside, it is an amazing series that you will not want to miss out on.

This book centers on the characters of Master Campania and Willow and is told from each of their points of view. Master Campania is a vampire that rules the south of Italy with an iron fist. Nobody would dare lie to him or betray him because they would not live to see another night. When Master Campania learns of rogue shifters and traitorous vampires teaming up with a group of witches, he is determined to find them and put a stop to them. Master Campania sees all and knows all in his dark underworld, so he knows where a group of witches have been living and where they like to socialize.

Enter Willow, a witch who is out for a night of fun with her friends at a club that Master Campania frequents. Willow and her friends have fled the academy because they were tired of being under the thumb of the head witches, and the coven leader Devora. They are hiding out in Master Campania’s region thinking that nobody would think to look for them there. However, Master Campania is aware of the witches as well as where they are staying. When he spots Willow at the club, he approaches her and demands information on the whereabouts of the rogue witches. Willow is reluctant to tell him anything and instead gives him false information to buy them time so her and her friends can flee to safety. Unfortunately, Willow and her friends do not escape quickly enough, and Master Campania quickly hunts them down. He is now angry that she lied to him and is more determined to get the information he seeks. What he does not expect is to find this little witch so enchanting. Willow also finds herself attracted to Master Campania. What will become of this mutual attraction?

This was yet another fantastic book in this series! The author draws the reader in from the first few pages with a suspenseful, action-packed, and intense storyline. Master Campania is a dark, sexy, devious, and ruthless vampire that nobody dares to betray. He is used to getting his own way and will stop at nothing to get what he wants. Willow is a feisty, bullheaded, smart, and charming witch that values her friends and will do anything to protect them. When Master Campania and Willow first meet it is under less-than-ideal circumstances. They are opposites from two different worlds where vampires and witches have been taught that they are mortal enemies and that they must never mix. However, when Master Campania and Willow meet the chemistry and attraction between them is intense and undeniable. It was impossible to not continue reading to see if either would act on the attraction and if there was hope of them having a relationship. This book hooked me until the end and kept me riveted until the last pages. I cannot wait for book number eight!

Master Campania: Dark Vampire Romance (Masters of the Consulate Book 7)Master Campania: Dark Vampire Romance by Sylvia Black
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Oh my oh my… with Isla dead, the Master’s are now fighting to end the rogues from causing any more havoc.

Master Campania is on the hunt for witches to find the rogues. He finds Willow and forces her to tell him the truth of everything she knows. She lies at first and he goes on a wild goose chase until he catches up to her again and captures her friends. This changes Willow’s tune quite quickly and she helps because she will never put her fellow witches in harm’s way, especially her friends.

Master Campania is not a fan of the witches and he doesn’t hide it. Can Willow change his mind? Can she change her own?

This is a tense and bloody book with battles on both sides. It will keep you reading until you come to the end. You will be waiting with tense eagerness for the next book. I can’t wait.

Whew, the sizzle between these two is off the charts! I have read several in this series and the world just keeps getting bigger and more complex. Master Campania went searching for the witches in his territory, and found Willow who he is drawn to. From two different worlds, the odds are stacked against them. So of course that means we are really rooting for them. Great world building, great characters, and a great satisfying plot! Keep them coming!

This one really goes on a ride! I enjoy Willow and the path she takes. I am mot a fan of witches as they are usually so sneaky. Willow surprised me. She seemed weak but shockingly she has a backbone. Campania is a master vampire with some pretty impressive powers. He seems a little cold and one sided until “it” happens. You know. That moment when he realizes he would do ANYTHING for her. That changed my mind about him. It was nice to see the characters from the previous stories. Their sass still reminds me of their stories and fun times. Overall another good installment to this series

This is yet another great book by this author. I really love paranormal romances and this is one of my favorite authors. I really like how that the characters have such electric chemistry and that there is a great mix of adventure and romance. I was on the edge of my seat and could not put this book down. I love how there was an undertone of forbidden that just really added to the story. I really love how this author is able to bring the characters to life and grip the reader and hold on for the full journey. The ever growing fireworks between the main characters as the adventure goes forward brings the wanting to see the outcome grow just adds to the drama. I so look forward to reading more from this author as well as this series.

Master Campania (Masters of the Consulate Book 7) by Sylvia Black – Review by Betsy Melano

Master Campania is searching for witches and some traitors who have set up resistance in his territory. This book kept my attention throughout and I had to keep reading. The author did a great job of world and character building. Enjoyed reading about the budding attraction between Willow and Master Campania. I would recommend any book by this author and this series in particular is my favorite. I hope you like it too.

This is another great add to the series. While it was not my favorite, I felt it was a bit rushed in places, I still enjoyed the individual romance as well as the new information to the story line that carry through the series. I would recommend this book.

Master Campania is not happy that he has witches in his territory, and what is even worse is that they are defectors. When he is tasked with finding them and getting information from them, he can’t help but feel pulled toward one spunky witch in particular. Willow has heard about pure blooded vampires, how dangerous they are, to steer clear and to never trust one. However, as she is forced to help Campania find rogue witches that will in turn lead to rogue vampires, she can’t help but feel like she was lied to. Both have been told witches and vampires should never mix. Yet there is a definite magnetism between the two of them that neither can deny. Or can they? Will they be able to put aside past prejudices and work together to find the rogue witches and vampires?

This was a quick read for me. I have enjoyed reading this series from the beginning, and it was a good addition to the series. I would have liked to have had more story between Campania and Willow. But that is just me wanting to be immersed in their world a little bit longer. It seems like there will be one more book to wrap up the series. I am looking forward to seeing who has taken up the mantle of dissent. There are so many characters in this world that I would suggest reading them in order.
